But all is well. I'm back! Weeeeeeeeee! Once I through with midterms I'll have a lot more free time on my hands, because I'm finally getting a study hall! Technically I'll have two, but I plan on working in the art room during one of 'em, which is good 'cause I have a lot of ideas I want to try, so stay tuned.

With next semester I also get to take a painting class! It's been forever since I've used paint, and to be honest I'm nervous, but I know I'm going to learn a lot. Plus I'll be able to put some of them online; a change from what I usually work with. ^___^

So yes.... It's good to be back. Oh, and Happy New Year everyone!

Finally. Schools out for the summer and now I get to look forward to my senior year and looking at colleges. Bleh...

A major chunk of this summer will be going towards building up my portfolio. Currently I'm working on that picture with the fountain in it. I'm mostly done. All I have left to do is coloring the water in the fountain itself. I'm just afraid I'll ruin the whole thing. --____-- I'm not too sure what to do next. For some reason I had a craving to draw three frog geiko (Geisha)entertaining some guy, but I have a feeling it's going to be rather hard. Or maybe I should do a landscape or a still life. I don't have enough of those, but they're not that fun to do.... Any ideas are welcome.

And sorry I haven't been on for a while folks. School, Halo 3, and pure laziness have kept me away, but not any more! (I hope...) At least I checked all of my messages and put up some pictures! As well as some stuff in my scraps. *hint hint*

Nothing really art wise is going down. I mean I finished an art project for school and everything (which I thought was meh.....) which is basically a book with collaging in it. I'll post some pictures later, after I get the project back. Also, I haven't really been working on my Robot Picture [link] which makes me quite sad. School work and Halo 3 really eat up my time, which means less art. --______-- But at least I'll get to do some fun pictures for my final project in my Mythology and Folklore class, but I kind of don't being forced to be artistic for homework assignments, because by the time I'm done, I feel like I have arthritis and it's really late at night. >___<

What else? What else? Umm....? Yeah! Tonight I'm going to go see a play at my school called "the Foreigner" which I saw a preview of at school, and I can't wait. I know it's going to be hilarious, according to my friends.

Anyway, Jun is very easy to get along with, mainly for me, because are personalities are quite similar. He, like me, is a very shy person, but thank goodness he opened up after a couple of days. Also like me, it didn't take a lot of effort to entertain him, but we did do a lot, believe me. We went to a Monarchs game (hockey), which he really liked. Let me see, we saw Horton hears a Who, which he didn't understand at all. ^__^; Jun even went to the HUGE stores of America, including the mall and Wal-Mart. What else? Ah. He tried lobster for the first time and jellybeans too, which I sent him home with a bag of 'em. And now, hopefully he has an understanding of Easter, after all, I did get him a Japanese Bible, and I helped find the passages we were reading during worship. I hope he's not too confused. *crosses fingers*
In my earlier journal, I remember putting the question out there, asking what he meant by magic. I thought he either meant magic magic, or perhaps "Magic" the trading card game. And as it turned out, he loves to do magic tricks. Oh, a how he could do magic! It wasn't small stuff either. He made things disappear and reappear, and causing maidens to scream in shock. As a result, he got the nickname "Magic Man". I was really surprised too, because his major purchase at the mall was seven or eight sets of playing cards, cause you can never have too many can you? Now I'm kicking myself! I didn't get his autograph!!! He's that really that good folks, I swear!

I guess another thing I should note is that Jun got me into the Beatles. Before he came here, I really didn't care about 'em that much, but we've been listening to them a lot, while he's been here, so now I'm honestly and wholeheartedly hooked! I would have to say my favourite song of theirs currently would be "let it be".

I think it was a good idea to write this now and not tomorrow, while the memories are still fresh in my mind. I guess my dilemma now, besides the fact that I'm really depressed is whether or not he'll e-mail me. I gave 'im mine, but he doesn't have e-mail, except on his cell phone back in Japan, which he forgot while he was here, so in truth I'm depending on him to keep contact with me...... I do hope he remembers....

Well, two Fridays ago I was in a one act play, written by two high school seniors entitled "the Joke", which is obviously about, what else, a joke. I didn't have a major part and I didn't even have any lines. I was just an extra; a SWAT team guy. It didn't really matter to me anyway, because I have severe stage fright. All I had to do was push one of the stars on and off stage and carry a coffin. I felt really good about being a part of it and I still do, but now I'm wrestling with the idea of joining the Spring Play at my school, but plays end up eating a lot of time for homework, art, and everything else.....

And as of yesterday I finished my picture Divine Merry Making. I'm so glad that I'm done with it, because I was under a lot of pressure to finish it by the deadline for another art contest. I didn't mention this before but I entered my Marie Antoinette picture into a art competition awhile back and I managed to win a gold key award for it. I wonder if the fates will be kind to me again. (I know someone out there will be happy that I said that. ^__--*)

And now I'm on vacation! Which means I have time to work on a some of my commissions from school. First I need to draw a cartoonish picture of a boy holding a nickel, next a picture for the Spring Play at my school for a teacher, and a picture of an angry gnome for a friend's mom's story book cover. Phew....

And March 21st is drawing close! For those of you who don't know what that date means, the Japanese exchange students are coming to my school. And now I know the name of my student who I'm going to be hosting for two weeks. His name is Jun Nakashima and he likes magic! My friends, my family and I can not tell if he likes doing magic tricks or if he likes the card game called magic. I'm leaning towards the card game, but I don't know for sure. I can tell though that's it's going to be so epic.

Life is sweet.

Besides myself, my Dad got sick as well, but I believe he got a different bug. And he isn't feeling any better, so we have decided not to go to my relatives house for Thanksgiving.... Which means no turkey for me. TT____TT I know this will sound rather corny but, I feel thankful anyway. Life could be worse. And besides my household always has two Thanksgiving celebrations. One on Thanksgiving with my relatives, and one at home, because after Thanksgiving we don't get to bring home left overs, which means no turkey sandwiches.... So I'll have my turkey eventually!!!

So beware ye drivers, for I'm takin' Drivers ED! The class is held on Mondays and Tuesdays every week, from 2:40-4:40, which burns. Growing up, I never really played with cars all too much and I don't really know the differeces of brands and types. They all look the same to me. As for the driving itself, I'm not too bad, but I still hate it and I get quit nervous when with the Drivers ED instructor. TT~TT And who, on Wednesdays I have Art Club, which is quite epic and then on Thursdays I attend Japan Club. (Although I've been naughty and played hookie the last two meetings) And as many can imagine with the addition of homework and projects, I'm quite beat. School, homework and after school activities drains my time for art and DevArt, so please forgive me if I don't reply to every comment and comment on all of your pics in a speedy manner, but believe me, I look at all of 'em. ^____^

I'm sure I have it quite easy compared to other people out there, but boy...., this year is tough!

In other news, just yesterday my cats got spade and now they're walking around the house in these cone things, that make it impossible for them to lick their wound, until it heals up. So they'll have to wear them for the next 10 days or so and then they will be free again. I'll post a picture of them later. One would think that they'd look cute in the cones, but they have the really sad aura around them that make meh depressed. I feel quite bad for them...... T__T

Anyway, it would make me quite happy if you would please glance at my scraps and tell what I should save. ^___^;

Well I finished the new Harry Potter book quite a while ago like most of you folk out there and now I've started reading it again, to find stuff missed reading the first time around. So what are all of your thoughts on the Deathly Hallows?

I of course loved the book ever so much! I mean Brenda [link] and I have been looking forward (and dreading) to reading Rowling last HP novel for such a long time. We've been debating what would happen in book 7 ever since we finished reading the Half-Blood Prince and now, it's all over. *sobs* Well, whatever. I guess I we can all look forward to J.K.Rowling's Harry Potter Encyclopedia she promised us. Right? *sobs some more*

I was really scared until we finished the first rapid, which was a level 4 (it goes up to 5)! It was a waterfall!!! But I lived through it, and more importantly I didn't fall out like my pastor did last year!

The other rapids were scary I guess, but they were so much fun! The only reason why I wouldn't go again next year would be because of the wetsuits they make you wear. They're sooooo discusting! When you put them on, they're wet and cold, and they smell like the river! *shudders*
Well now that I'm home, I don't feel motivated to do anything because I'm sore and tired from the trip and plus it's in the 90s here. The heat zaps my energy. sigh..... It was so much cooler up in Maine. At least there are not as many mosquitoes here.

These past fews days have gone by quickly and school and homework keep my mind off recent events. It was really depressing to go to my Grandparents' House last Monday and Tuesday, because there were Christmas decorations everywhere (they didn't have their tree up yet, and I doubt my Grandfather will put his up this year or the next for that matter). My Grandmother was a huge fan of Christmas like myself. This going to be a very depressing Christmas and I have a feeling there is going to be a lot crying on Christmas Day. On a positve note, my Grandmother's Orchid was in full bloom when I saw it on Monday.
I wonder how may scratches/cuts I'll get on my hands this year after putting up the upstairs Christmas Tree? It takes me a good hour and a half to put it up. It's long and tedious, but well worth it in the end. Those fake pine needles are really painful!
If any of you decide to comment on my journal entry, I would like y'all to mention a favorite Christmas oriment you have and why you like it. I have a buch, but I believe my favorite would either be our pickle orniment or the cool looking pea pod orniment with the eyes on the peas.

So on Monday, I will be attending the Wake with family and friends, and then on Tuesday, I will be at the funeral. I am pretty sure, I will be at school on Wednesday, but I cannot be totally sure. It's a weird thought, to think you'll never to hear or see a loved one ever again until you, yourself die.

I suppose DeviantArt has kept me alive these past few days.
