Well I haven't written anything in a really long time.. So here goes.

Aleeya, my 26yo arabian, has been adopted by the neighbors for their little 9yo girl to learn how to care for a horse and how to ride on soemthing mellow, before upgrading to a horse with a little more spunk. They're so cute, she goes out into Aleeya's pasture where her swing is and Aleeya comes and takes a nap next to her white she swings in her tree swing. So all in all, she's happy That's all that matters.

Dakota is home and happy. He's roughly 14.3hh and will be turning a year old next month! lol. he's going to be a good sized horse I cant wait. We went on our first walk the other day off the property down my dirt road and he did very well. Oh! and he gets gelded next month ... yipee! XD

Dasha is still in the north west with my mom, and we're slowly but surely working on getting her down here so I can finish her training and get some miles on her. But my mom is loving having her home from the sounds of it but needs to get her down here. If you guys know any decent shippers will you let me know?? or if you happen to be making the move from Washington/Oregon Area and happen to be going through AZ let me know... and maybe we can work something out?

And last but not least, I have adopted a 6yo Appaloosa mare. She's fully trained and is probably about 15hh - 15.1. Not as tall as i'd love to have but not so short my feet drag the ground. Her manners are get, doesn't buck doesn't rear. She's sweet with a little bit of spunk. A friend of mine rescues abused and neglected horses and she was one of her rescues. Ponita is rideable but before she was rescued she was not taken care of properly and ended up with absesses all over her body... well there was one in her eye that has turned into a tumor, and she'll eventually go blind in that eye because of the neglect of treat ment. The vet has been out to look at it, and there is nothing they can honestly do for her. She's not in pain, but she'll lose her sight in that eye, but instead of just taking her eye out, they think it'll be better if it gradually goes away, so that it's not a shock for her. But in anycase, i'll get pictures of her for you gues. She a really pretty red appy. She was supposed to be home today, but it turns out that she'll have to come home in the morning tomorrow. I cant wait

Anyways, I have to get going. OH! I have 2chicks, a duckling and an african gosling.

Laters!! i'll post pictures

Well most of you know *that read my journal stuff* that I have 2 horses.. Dasha and Aleeya, and when I moved Dasha stayed with my mom in Oregon. Well, on monday this week, I bought a Qh/Belgian colt. He's a PMU rescue and he's roughly 3months old and is, if not taller, 13hh. He's a red roan.. really purdy. Good legs, conformation and the sweetest face. The only white he has is a large star off to the right side of his forehead.

I haven't come up with a name for him, but as soon as I get some good pictures of him i'll be posting them. Right now he's extremely fuzzy and slowly settling into his new surroundings. He spent 3 to 4 days on a trailer with 20 other horses.

Well ok, first things first, for all that read this, thank you for taking time out of your day to see what's going on in mine.

Anywho, Well as some of you may know, i'm moving out of my parent's house and going out into the world.. yay! I'll be leaving around June 1stish and i'll be taking Aleeya & Dasha *my horses* and Clover & Emma *my birds* with me. I'm moving back to my home state of Arizona for a few years to house sit my grandparent's retirement property. There I can keep my girls and my birds, aswell as have a dog or 2.

The property is completely fenced, it's not huge but just big enough for me and the girls to stay at the same house. No more BOARDING STABLES!!! YAY!.. finally. I've been boarding my horses for 3years now and I hate it, especially at this place they're at now.. but only like what? 20more days and we're gone! Anyways, back to the good stuff.

It turns out I wont have to be paying any rent since it's sort of a "favor" for my grandparents me moving in there while they travel and work at their jobs for a few more years. So this is how it's going to work out, for the first year i'm going to work full time and get things settled in and running as smooth as possible. Then i'll be going to college for my Vet Tech certificate/Degree and then hopfully landing a job in a decent equine hospital of sorts. But for the next three to five years I plan to get that done, save up money and hopfully have enough money for a down payment on a peice of property by the time i'm 25. I also hope to go back to school and specialise in the equine breeding industry as well as take some classes in sales and marketing, and possibly some small business classes.

My grandma *not the one that own's the house i'm staying at.* and I have decided to buy a piece of land together someplace where it's nice and green, and hopfully doesn't snow a whole lot and NO tornados.. I hate those things with a passion. But in anycase, we plan to breed and train foundation quarter horses, and I also plan to run some sort of mustang rescue after I get my business underway.

I dont plan to breed the Halter quarter horses that people seem to be so facinated with *sigh* as I see something really wrong with their breeding morals for most of them, that and I'm not interested show Halter. With my Foundation Quarter Horses, I plan to show reining, cutting, competive trail, and so on. Sometime this year my grandma will be shopping for our first Quarter Horse mare, mostly for her pleasure but so that in a few years, will be one step closer to our breeding program. My next horse will also be a good sized foundation quarter horse mare.

In anycase, everything seems to be working out great! OH! I've also found a really good trainer close enough to where I live I'll be able to send Dasha to her for "finishing school". All in all I may compete Dasha in endurance racing depending on how she does, if all else fails, she's going to make one serious good lookin' trail horse

I'm so excited about all this! OH! Since i'll be in Arizona, I plan to go to the Suquaro National Park someday, and right about sunset take some really pretty pictures of the girls out in the desert. Doesn't that sound pretty? Anyways.. gotta run.. I have more packing to do!

Oh.. and I probably wont have internet for atleast a month... so after about June first, i'll be inactive for a little while. *sigh* BUT it's for all good stuff, so it'll be fine

Hi everyone! How's it going? Well I don't know how many of you actually care but I figured i'd post anyways.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. It's a bit long and kinda rambles a bit in a few places but I appreciate it. Even if you cant help me. Thanks for lending me your time.

Ok, I guess I'll start with the big news. Currently I live in the Portland, Oregon area and have been living here for the past 3 years. I had moved up here, from Arizona, because of some issues back home with some family and needed to get away, so I moved in with my mom.
Now as of June, i'll be moving back to Arizona, with not one but two horses in tow and 2 birds. When I moved up here I only had one horse. I excited and a bit uneasy about moving out because I already know how hard it's going to be to support myself and 6 "kids" two horses, two dogs, and two birds.. I have a minor joke to go with that but anyways. My dogs are stay at my grandma's house at the moment where they're loved and cared for so I wont have to worry about them until about October when she comes down.
It's roughly going to cost me about $2,800 to move but that's going to be living VERY tight until I get some money coming in. I do have one of my friend's moving in with me but I don't think she relises how much it's going to cost to live at this place until we get situated. We'll have to turn on the electric and such. Internet and stuff can wait until later though it'd be nice right when we get there but I think phone and food are more important don't you? I'll be staying on a small property just big enough to have both Dasha and Aleeya there. It's my grandfather's property and i'll be house sitting for him and my grandma for a few years until they're ready to retire. There isn't any rent but because of where the house is located the utilities are pretty high. With no rent though I can have my girls home and not at a boarding stables and well.. I can put money away for my own place. Colorado Springs.... One day..
Anywho, I'm flying her *roomie* up from Arizona to help me drive down and I have another long time friend driving up from Arizona with a truck and horse trailer to drive the girls down. So ok, two trucks, two trailers *horse and uhaul*... I've been seeing a lot of twos latly.. anyways..

On to what I was trying to get at... I was curious because were going to be taking I5 down through California, can anyone recommend decent horse rest stops or farms for over nights? That'd be such a great help. I plan on stopping and checking on the girls every 2 hours and every 4 to 5 hours taking them out for about 5minutes and letting them stretch. It would be really nice though if there were places people could possibly recommend so that I dont show up in the middle of the night at a place that was supposed to be nice and have it be completely trashed. I'd sleep in the trailer with the girls at that point.

Also... if you're even taking the time to read this. I've done trips with horses before but never more than a single over night and this might take us two or three nights and such to get down there. Any moving suggestions for the girls? They'll have all their vet stuff and i'll have hay and water. Just any suggestions. Aleeya's done the trip up here.. but Dasha hasn't been in a trailer longer than 4 hours max. Dasha follows Aleeya's lead a lot so i'm hoping everything will be ok. Maybe shipping boots for Dasha or no? Looking for Ideas...

Random question... how do I add pictures to my journal? Like if I wanted to feature something or someone?
