THE FREAK OUT IS OVER!! I finished my Smut Peddler submission, WHEW!! For those who don't know, Smut Peddler is an adult anthology run by Spike of   Templar, AZ fame.  I illustrated a story with the writer Alice Hunt of Goodbye Chains- set in October 1957, New York City. I'm wondering what I could expect to pay for someone to flat my work (drop in all the colors in the right places so I can shade on top), versus someone to fully color it in a painterly style, with a good grasp of lighting and color.

So, after a month of limbo living in my friend's office, I've found a place to live and am moving in October 1st! Things will still be a little crazy, I'm SURE, until stuff gets unpacked and put away, but I'm glad to be in my own place again! First, Macchina is going to be posted in black and white until I get my computer going and/or buy a new one. CON: No more color for a while, and to see the back color pages you would have to buy the print copy. PRO: Updates will be more often! :D This does NOT effect my pending digital color commissions! My comic pages are HUGE (600 dpi, 7 X 10.5 / 13.5 X 10.5 inches) whereas the commissions are at 300 dpi and require a lot less layers (5 or 6 as opposed to the 20+ I use for my comic pages).

I turned off the computer before the file was done saving (I thought it was done, the file had closed and just photoshop was open... and frozen). Well, my entire page is foobared. I tried to open it in illustrator (people said that sometimes worked) but all it was was a giant black box with a red line right at the top, which leads me to believe the file is fucked beyond comprehension.

Colin (my tech saavy boyfriend) is using some recovery software to try to find the last update of the image or something, but its going to take hours to recover the data, and even then it might not work.

NaNoMango is the comic artist alternative to NaNoWriMo.

My goal is to draw 30 pencilled pages of a side story of Macchina about Victor Rose, the commander of the Luftierre aboard the Reinheit. It's not something that would come up in the course of the regular Macchina comic, as Victor doesn't really disclose information about himself, but it would make a good side-story and something I could sell at conventions, and it would be standalone.

WAS AWESOME. Had some crazy crazy shit happen (our hotel started smoking and we were evacuated), but overall, GOOD CON! The demographics of Anime Central was much, much different than what I'm used to on the East Coast (otakon, katsucon, nekocon, ect). The age variance was skewed much younger (14-20 as opposed to 17-25) and far less people interested in my awesome porn XDD. Also, a lot less people who knew DRAGON AGE!! TRAVESTY!!!!

So, I've been pretty excited about playing this expansion, because the fangirl in me really wanted to see my hottie Zevran (who I ended the game in a relationship with) and Alistair (who I made king, alone (no Anora)).

I was disappointed at the lack of Zevran and the brief brief appearance by Alistair at the beginning of the game (and then never again- even when you kill The Mother, he doesn't show up to throw a party in your honor or something).
