Just a small bit of a journal...to tell you I'm still around and alive...for most part.

It's been an interesting past few weeks and days and...stuffers.
I've quit McDonalds, and also Citgo Gas Station...but no worries.
...come the 10th (though yes that's far away) I'll be working a new job, in a better area of experience. I'd give more detail, but you'll have to wait for an Edited Update later.

I just tonight got some stuff packed around...getting ready for my move with my girlfriend, ~BrokenKitty. We're tryin' to get our own place and such...
We also brough over my newborns and their mom, and my kitty from the apt. For those who have seen the "recent" deviation of mine or scraps, you'll know the kitties by now.
Everyone has names, but not all will be kept...7 of the eleven are being kept...the others being given to a milk farm.

Which, btw I've yet to really introduce her, but yes...
My girlfriend is a deviant, hence ~BrokenKitty
She's also starting her own stock account...~BrokenKittyStock

I've my own computer up and running now, at her place. I've not been very creative though, and that's bad...really really bad because I've so much to do, in concerns of dA...especially my promised commissions. I feel so very bad

I've been doing what I can of deviations, though...as many know. I've still so many more to go...it keeps building up.

I know to some of you it's no big deal, but it is to me...
...well, time for dinner (at nearly 12-midnight) so I'll check in again laters.

Theres a guy and a girl sitting in a restaraunt and they r together. the guy looks out the window and then at his girlfriend. the girls back is facing the window and his face is facing the window.
GUY: do u love me?
GIRL: what?

In Corona yesterday, there was a shooting at a local restaraunt. The survivor was a young woman, i have been told that the shooter was her ex boyfriend and he was coming back for revenge on her for dumping him. He was going to kill her by shooting her in the back. She told us that her new boyfriend was acting funny throughout the lunch, and that he was asking her if she loved him, she never did tell him. She told us in an interview that she regrets not saying anything because she did love him and now he wil never know. Luckily a local pedestrian tackled the shooter before he got another shot off at her. The police came and detained him.

I'm still not doing as best as I would like to here on deviantART...in a way, I feel I've abandoned my watchers. I haven't done much of anything lately, and I have two good commissions (one from =Sassea, and another from *artist2) but a matter of time is issued on me, work and otherwise.
I'm doing a bit better in completing the deviations left in my Deviation Centre, but I still have a lot to go through; each time I get it knocked down, it rises again. To help with this, I took of a few people from my own watch...and excluded the journals of a few others. You'll know you're one of those people if I don't comment for a LONG time on either (a) deviation, or (b) journal. I know I've a few people watching me that I've not watched at all, so I hope they know I don't mean them bad feelings...just, I'm sorta particular of who I'm watching.
It's quite a deal...

About half is stocks, though...so yeah.

On top of interesting news of my gallery, my .: Bleep :. icon has gotten a LOT of views...it's now totaled at 889 views. It's my most viewed, obviously. My other icon, But... is at 643 views, but is most faved with 32.

I've shifted my Footer stuff around...
...took off my 'Friends' section...because, well, they're all found under the My Friends piece...lol. But, I will redo it anyways, just too many to really go through for time being.
...I re-did the 'Must See' section, too. Added some people, took away some.
...and added more to the 'Stocks' section...mostly those of who I watch, and those belonging to a few of my friends.

I hope to get back in order soon...but there won't be any promises...

Yay...I'm finally done reading Underworld...
...ok, so that was a couple of weeks ago...but still. This new book, Doppleganger is really good...though I only get to read it mostly during breaks at work.

So, yes...I'm back to being subscribed...
I don't really know why I gave myself a year subscription.
...most I can give a reason is because it beats having to constantly re-subscribe every three months...

I've still not done much as to working through the Deviation part of my Centre, but I'm working on that tonight. I'm changing my usual style of killin' off all the less-images (Deviants with few images, like 3 or something)...and instead will tackle all those who have made my Centre full with multi-images (which may have up to like, 20+ or something...).
I've only deleted automatically the stocks...and most writings; I'm not a fan of online reading, or computer reading, really...but I may look at a few, as people take time to read my oddities.
I've also, again, deleted all journals...too many to keep up with of everyone I watch.
I'm looking at ~~166~~ (156)D, out of what was left of 206D or so...some as old as the beginning of April...

I'll be working through deviations all night, as I said.
I've left my alarm clock elsewhere, and as I have to work at 6am tomorrow, I figured I'd just as well stay up. It's currently 2:06am, so this...will be interesting. I say this because I also have at 6pm my main job.
...yes, I work two jobs, if some haven't caught that from previously: McDonalds is my main spot, working the night/closing shift through-out most of the week (6days this one alone...7, including today); Citgo is my other, weekend-mostly job. Citgo is a gas-station for those not used to the brand name...and I work there mostly weekend mornings, though like tomorrow/today, I get weekdays on occasions.
Though Wednesday I'm technically off from work for McDonalds, I will be working instead at Citgo...so technically...I have absolutely -no- day off this week.
Can I work through this? ...hopefully.

Oh, I had started to do a contest or something like that, but as there apparently wasn't any interest, I am foregoing that. I will pick up on it another day...

I've another new commission for an avatar.
...as to this, and others I've in tow, I might be working on them this week. This will be pending mostly on my activities, however.

I would put up my next Themed Featuring idea I have...but that'll have to wait till after I'm done with main things first. Obviously.

So...that's about it for now.
Hopefully I don't pass out anytime soon; my internal clock is on the fritz, and with zero rest/sleep since waking at 7am Sunday morning...I may be on for a rough time.
This is my own doing, obviously, but sometimes things are worth the stress.
...maybe I can catch an hour or so sleep before my night-shift...I get off at 2 from Citgo...

As many of my watchers (who I watch in return) may've noticed...I've not really done much in checkin' on deviations lately. Sadly, t'is true: 132D

I've been kinda busy last couple of weeks...
I've a new second job that's taken up my time...a morning job in comparison to my normal night-shift job I have.
I also have new pets in my apartment that take up time. They're cats, so usually not all that much of attention, but I've three; the third one is not related to the first two, and so unfortunately they're not gettin' along. I have to keep intervening...
Any suggestions of getting two cats to get along, without them shredding each other with their claws...?

When I've found the time, I skimmed through my Centre...I had to delete all Journals, cuz I couldn't keep up with them. I took out all Stocks...
I tried getting to a few Deviations, mostly by my natural way of selection: ones with the fewest pieces...

However, I get paid next coming Thursday, so I'll be able to upgrade myself again. I promise to get to you all when possible.

WARNING - if you get a LOT of messages (particularly Comments or Favorites) I hope you don't become too discouraged when you find it all just from me...
I remember reading in one journal ages ago of how one Deviant thought she was getting a lot of different comments and such, but it turned out to be just one person. I'd hate to become that myself now...but ish almost necessary.

10) Unsurprisingly for a single, on-his-own male: I'm very untidy...but I will on occasions do my own dishes, laundry, vaccuming, etc...when the mood moves me.

11) In connection to the above - if I know someone 'new' is comin' for a visit, I generally clean the night before without question/thinking.

12) I generally start singing to songs I know when I hear them (via radio, computer, CD, etc...)

13) To the previous - I like listening to certain teen pop music when I'm in a really happy mood...(last time I really listened to any was...er...half a year ago...)

No features today...

I've been fairly wrapped up / absorbed into my new game, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.
And because of this, I've limited myself to my computer...only to check my normal priorities (e-mail, dA comments, bank account). I've actually started collecting some deviations in my Centre...sitting at 43 at the moment...
I do check them, and I will comment when I get to them. I'm doing bits and pieces in between breaks from my game.

Right now, it's just the game is brand new to me, and I want to work on it a lot. I really love the Castlevania series...
It's not as good as Symphony of the Night, but it is better than the last PS2 version, Lament of Innocense. I've two of the GameBoy versions, and they're alright...
But, this one is taking my interests as of the time being. Me being me, I'm leveling up like crazy...already at lvl 40, and only past maybe three or four stages/bosses. It's mostly because of the extra nifties this version has: Innocent Devils, aka IDs.
...think Pokemon...in a way.
...
So I'm very sorry for not being active much the last some-odd weeks or so...

I know I've said in the past of things I'm going to do, but I've never done -any- of it. So, instead...I'm just listing ideas I want to try/get to...
This is more for me, rather than anything else. Like a reminder of what I'm supposed to be doing...
I'm not wanting to get hopes up...so just keep in mind I'll take suggestions, but I may not get around to it for a while.

I'm having trouble working my PhotoShop CS2.
It's constantly running something in the background...and that seriously slows down the comp' at times. (I've an 18.6 GB comp...)
I'm using CS2 at all because it seems to be superior to the regular PhotoShop 7 I have...most of all in regards to my personal project. And of course...they're both better than the PaintShopPro 8 I've been currently using...

...anyone know a possible solution?

Honestly, I dnlded the CS2 program from LimeWire...so I'm assuming that's part of the problems...but as it is, I don't have the money to pay for the actual thing. I've looked..and damn, that's a LOT of money...
I really want to work on these new things...because...well, it actually interests me aside from my icons.

Anyone with suggestions? Solutions...?

Somethin' is up with my CD drive; it works, far as I can tell...
...but it's not being registered by my computer O_o It doesn't get listed with the C-drive and A-drive...
It's also a bothersome.

I've never thought to try and download a varient skin for use with deviantART...mostly because I didn't know how.
...however, upon finding this, I gave it a try, and dnlded various skins. Then, remembering the DD, I went into this particular one.

I must say, this piece by ~DJSPHYX is something...
...the Journal and Commentary both become instant Scrolling Windows...
...the Deviant Info at the top becomes hidden, till hovered over...with other vamped-ness...

Well...how ironic.
...my subscription ends on the same day I get paid this week
But the bad thing is...my check comes in at 2 PM (well, we're not allowed to pick 'em up till then...). Even though I work at 5PM, I'm thinking of still going after it at about 4...because unlike most people...I have to walk 3 miles to and from work.
That's about 6 miles a day if I don't get a ride home...
...takes about 20-25 minutes to walk though...depending on weather...and if someone picks me up or not.
Hopefully, I'll have enough left over (after bills paid off and such) to pay my dues of the prizes to ~muadhnait and ~kouklo. They presented wonderful artworks to my last contest, and very much deserve their rewards.

On another notice...I'd like to introduce ~aBeautiful-Lie.
She's my 17yr-old niece, who I conned into joining deviantART. She's doing mostly Transgression Poetry as of now. Just for a li'l 411...she isn't all that bad a kid. Unlike some people, she doesn't really endulge into the dark side which most transgression derives from. She's had her bad points the last couple of years...but it's sorta expected during the late teen years.
She won't get to post often, but I thought to give her a start...havin' uploaded seventeen poems already.

Thanks to =Sicsaxion-...I have finalized my thoughts about creating certain icons/avatars...
She was the first to disapprove of my Luis Royo icons I had within my gallery...asked if I'd take them down.
I didn't really mind...as I was contemplating doing so anyways. I feel bad usin' his work...even for personal usage (though I still use my creations for my own use, on LiveJournal and MSN/Yahoo messangers)
So what I had is gone...not that they were viewed much anyways.
...but that sorta kills where I was going to create quite a few more. Still will, just won't share them here, I guess....

That sorta killed a lot of my creativity for my icons.
As I have no major art ability of my own...I don't really have personal resources to make icons from pure scratch; I have to use something from some where else...
I'm doing so with a couple of 'video' icons I'm going to produce here shortly...using music videos to create some things...

I had an interesting Christmas...and birthday.
...got various things...one being a scanner/printer combination from my Dad...
...and a LOT of things from one of my most precious of online friends...she's so wonderful ^_^ (nearly $100 worth of gifts...not including shipping and handling...) She had also given me a wonderful birthday 'gift', of callin' me - even though I was at work - and leaving a warm birthday wishing...singing and everything...it was sweet.

My contests aren't coming along as I was hoping, but I have sufficent entries I guess.

I was born December 24th. My biological mother died 4hrs later, on December 25th, aka, Christmas. She didn't actually die in child birth...but in a way, she did give her life for mine.
I want to turn a sorrow into something giving...by awarding someone something...even if it's on my own birthday.

So this season's not been so great for me this year...as it hasn't really been for the last 24yrs of my life.
...my birthday's comin' up, turning 24...on the 24th.

...but it's a reminder of how next year, it'll be 25yrs on the 25th, my Mom died...

I miss my books much...they're in another state with my parents. But I'm wanting to get a second set anyways...so I made a point to add books to my Amazon.com wishlist for a later reminder.

It's been founded by the wonderful deviant, =larafairie.

Basically, it's helping to give recognition to the very talented artists here on deviantART that haven't had the time to be well known.
...doesn't matter if they've been here since 2004, either.

What's considered 'Unknown' are those with incredible pieces of artwork...yet have under the good amount of 5,000 PageViews.

I've already suggested five deviants myself...of my choices to be selected, that would be up to the Admins. of the Unknown Artists to decide. I've selected mostly of those I watch, and watch me in return.

I'm slowly gettin' back into the groove of things...
...my Centre had around 200 messages all together for almost the entire last month...most being deviations...but it's been knocked down to ( 95D, 3J )...so yes, I'm almost back to normal.

I haven't forgotten anyone's requested avatar...been tryin' to work on ~geneavieve's actually for a wk now or so...not easy in my perspective...because I'm the one who has to figure out the fancy-smancies and still have it comin' out all pretty...
That, and it doesn't help when my stupid computer likes to freeze up while in the middle of a progress, and I have to cold-restart...losing all information...

...I must say, I was rather miffed to learn of so many people not really knowing just what the term 'lycanthrope' entailed. If you have at least half a mind, and even just a slight knowledgement of animals...then you know that lycan itself is a form of lupus...which, in turn, means wolf...
In the catagories under Lycanthrope in the Search Engine, I found many forms aside from wolves: bears, horses, felines...etc.
...the general known term for this is Anthropomorph...which covers ~ALL~ species...
I'm also not too happy of a few other visualizations...but it's only a personal miff...

Sorry for the lack of my Themed Featurings that I've started to do...
I've been doing mostly lying down, and not just I've been lazy......I've not been feeling well for the past week or so...
With the weather taking a change in turn...so have the elements I have to face on my walks to/from work...it gets rather cold outside, and I've not much to really bundle in. Somehow the winds cut through the layers I do wear, so I'm chilled regardless.

As to any updates to the promised avatars...my computers been messin' up lately too...just recently had to reformat to get it to do anything.
...that's also in reason for why I've yet to post any of this new project of mine. Last time I was workin' on the planets, my entire eletricity went out one night while I was at work, and I had WIP on my comp...got completely wiped, because I thought it'd be fine. I didn't save anything because it was just experimental works...
My head's still a li'l f*cked up...but I'll see what I can do about tonight after work...
...I hate delays of anything...

1. What is something no one on DA knows about you?
Oh wow...there's only a small fraction not already known due to questionnaires...
The only thing that sounds remotely interesting to tell right now is that I give massages...may not sound anything special, but I've been doing so since about 2nd grade.
I've given to teachers, friends, family, co-workers, managers...
However, it's the ones done in the privacy of homes that turn out the best...
...especially with the use of oils. I've given full body massages to a lot of girls/women...
...odd to say, but it's been the best way I have gotten them to remove clothes for me...and yet not have it turn sexual...lmao. In all actuality too...though...I've been given the comment twice that my massages are actually better than sex...
...
But stranger still...I cannot for the life of me stand one given to me...

2. What are you most proud of in life, so far?
Not a whole lot...I can tell you that.
However, I've gained a semi-steady job...lived on my own...and dealt with my own bills...over the course of the past five years since graduating from High School. I've known many graduates to still live with their parents. I'm of course not including those who actually make it to college on their own, though...though, still some of those people, once graduated again, still sometimes move back with their parents...
I'm a lot slower than some people in taking care of business, but I'm working as I can to pay off even debts to like paying my college tuition that I owe for goin' only one year...

3. What do you want to accomplish in life?
Payin' off my tuition for one...lmao...
Visit both my Mom's grave (as said before)...and her homeland...
Live a good life with the people I love/care about...

4. What is your favorite food?
Just about anything I will let pass my lips!! Lol.
I'm not really sure. There's not really a whole lot of foods I would actually indulge upon. You'd have to breakdown this question into catagories for me to accurately say anything...lol.

5. What is one thing you love about yourself?
To be truthful and honest...
...there's not much that I do. Everything about me contradicts another aspect of myself, and/or hurts me in some way.
An example of this: Think of the song Scars by Papa Roach..."My weakness is, is that I care too much..."
...basically in meaning...I care more for others than I do myself. And that's actually a good thing.
...however, because of it...I also become an easy target for others (girls, of course, in particular...not to sound rude or generalistic) to take advantage of...
There's hardly any aspect that somehow doesn't go against me...

1. What brought you to DA?
One of my internet friends, ~twistedkitsune had various art sites she'd let me visit/view...and when she showed me deviantART, I found I couldn't comment unless a member. So...I joined orignally just to comment upon her work.
...however, at the time, I was just beginning to work on my Icons...and, it all jumped from there...

2. What is your favorite type of art designs?
Favorite art designs...?
...mmm...I like a lot of art mediums...and as long as it has a portrayment of fantasy (yes, mostly womanized too...so sue me...), then I'm game. I enjoy anime, manipulations, traditional...even the artistic designs of the action figures done by those such as Todd McFarlane.
Oh...and can't forget the computer graphics of video games and sci-fi movies ^_^
...and there's also my growin' love for the darker photography artists...
...and I believe...music is a sort of 'design'...no?

3. Who is your favorite artist?
Depends, are we speaking of dA? Or in general...?
...in concerns of dA...well...mmm. I can't really narrow it down, because I've come across so many talented and wonderfully skilled artists. I respect all of their abilities, and enjoy seeing them expand day by day.
...in respects towards simply general artists...I have to of course mention Luis Royo. He's just simply inspirational. I admire many of his artworks, and wish I could own many of the images.
I also admire the anthropormorphic/lycanthrope artists of Dark Natasha and Goldenwolf, who are both members to dA as well. However, I didn't know this till after I joined

4. What is one of your dreams?
I don't really have any...nor do I in the sence of even while asleep, that I know of.
However, one of my 'dreams' is also one of my goals in my life...which I've mentioned countless times before: to visit my Mom's grave back in Missouri, where I was born, and where she died...
...beyond that, there's the simple idea of living a happy life...enjoying it with a loving family of my own...

5. What keeps you at DA?
I'm not really sure.
...I've met so many wonderful people.
...found so many incredible artists whose talents are simply mind-blowing.
It's one of the few community places I feel I can fit in...because there aren't many others...
...and it's an inspiration place for me to try and work more into my own artwork...

...I'm more/less stopping any further commissions on avatars/icons...at least for now.
I will create my own icons and submit as I want, though...as I have over 300 on my computer, most in templates...others just needing an animation touch or new feel to them.
However, I still have a Version 2.0 for ~geneavieve that I've promised...
...and I've one for *Kereska...though how I'll do hers, I don't know. She would love the hair of the image she wants used to be wavy, or something...but I'm not that expertised...not yet anyways. I just recently figured how to do 'shimmer' bordering...as seen for ~Comtessa...that was interesting...

I've found something more to my interests at the moment, and am currently trying to work on. I mean, I've my Adobe Photoshop open as I'm typing, and have documents open to work on this new experimental project.
As I was going through the Search feature for tutorials to do things, I came across some to create planets. People with the space themes goin' on have wonderful artwork, and I've wanted to do something like that for a while. So I'm working on that now.
...however...
I'm also interested in many of those Signature Banners...like what ~llGurull creates...those things used usually in forums. I find them awesome as hell...
...however still...
I'm going to create my own style of these banners, and include my planet creations, and my own style...
...my first of these shall be shown when I create my very first Journal Header...and Footer.

Wish me luck...lol...I'll need it...

And on another note...I'll be making my first tutorial too...
...like on how to make flashy icons such as my Royo tributes ([link] and [link]). This will be a trip to do...lol.

2) Secondly...I'm 50% Thai, 50% American Mutt.
...my biological Mom was from Thailand...she was 100% pure...my Dad is a mix of various different shyts...I think one is Polish...?

3) ...speaking of my Mom...it's one of my goals to go visit her grave in Missouri someday. Ne'er been there myself since her death nearly 24yrs ago.

4) When my Dad re-married three years later...I met my oldest niece. She's only 10hrs or so younger than I, so we ended having our 3rd birthday together...wanna see? Here ==> [link]

5) I like to collect on my own time and money different things...
...a/ Almost anything with wolves...

...c/ I collect trading cards...I've a few Yi-Gi-Oh, but don't play. My main collection belongs to the traditional trading cards...of mostly Marvel Comic characters.
...d/ I've a HUGE collection of Zoids...and still want to build on it if I can ever find them again other than online.
...e) I'm slowly working on my collection of Swords...

6) In turn towards my icon creations...I have 300+...most templates, others 'finished'. Why the 'finished' ones haven't been submitted, is because I'm no longer satisfied with them. Ever since obtaining the ability to animate, my flat ones are...well...bleh.
...if push came to shove, I may submit some anyways.

7) I took part of a Star Trek episode.
...no, not a ~real~ one. It was at Universal Studios; I was like...10 or something. We were one of the first people to arrive at the theme attraction...and a guy came out asking if any of the families waiting in line wanted to actually participate. If I recall...I jumped at the oppertunity...literally.
Upon going in, I watched as many other participants walked around, gettin' costumes on after filling out forms...and my butt stuck to a stool till near show time.
...turns out I was to become the dragon-hound for the Klingons.

8) Tried joining the military all on my own back when I was 18. Didn't tell anyone, just called up the recruiter, got the info...and found myself eventually traveling to get my physical. No one knew...not even my sister.

9) ...unfortunately, (or maybe, fortunately...??) I got stopped dead there at the physical. I never went on further...no chance.

10) ...turned out I have a spinal problem virtually identical to Scoliosis. And 'luckily' for me...I get to learn all this for the very first time when attempting to pass a physical.

11) May people are jealous of my natural dark tan...including my sister. I can't for the life of me figure out why...

121) My sister isn't really my 'sister'. She's my step-sister...but where we grew up together knowing each other for so long...the whole 'step' thing kinda went out the window. Hell, she babied me more than she did her own daughters...lol. Being a baby brother rules in that respect...

13) I found I do more dishes and cleaning up at work (McDonalds) than I do for my own apartment...I'd be lucky to have any clean dishes left after a month or so...*cough*

14) I have a lot of artistical ideas running through my head...stories, pictures, tattoos, manipulations. But I cannot what-so-ever get them out of my head...

15) I have a strong affiliation with two entities of myth/lore...Anubis, and the Lady Titania.

REQUIREMENTS

~ANY~ style of a deviation...I mean anything. Literature, Manipulation...etc...

Must be portaying of the Gods/Goddess (any mythology), or someone of mythic lore.
**Though more biblical...I'll even consider something of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

I'll accept deviations of mythical creatures. (I.E. Gryphons, Medusa, gargoyles, etc...anything that doesn't get much recognition)

NO standard creatures (I.E. vampires, werewolves, Frankenstien's monster, etc...including, sadly, dragons)

Preferably made for this contest...but old deviations will do.

I want to see a description for any pictorial deviation...that is, something of feeling to portray the image in words...not just "I made this for the contest...."...bring your deviation to life.
**Double the work, double the chances.
**Descriptions are on the deviation itself, not in submitting to contest.

Judging

As I cannot do this judging alone, I'll be setting up polls per catagory.
I will be putting the polls in my Judgement journal entry so you will know where to vote. Please feel free to vote per catagory.

Should a deviant have two (2) or more tied entries, I'll break it myself.
Same will go with two seperate entries...I'll break the tie myself.
