I'm rather happy to be so active in photography again. My ex sort of pulled me out of it and now I'm out at least once a week taking pictures, exploring the Colorado landscape and playing my lens across it.

I'm rather upset about that seeing as I thought those were some of my best work with chemical photography by far.

Others have been taken down because I did not find them to be all that great.

And now for a real update:
I have ordered a card reader. It should be here in the next two weeks and I'm rather excited. I have over 300 pictures on my camera at the moment and I cannot wait to upload them and see which ones are keepers. I have recently moved to Colorado, and while here I've begun hiking. A week ago I went onto the Navajo Nation and hiked there. It was the most beautiful thing I have EVER seen in my life. Lots of pictures coming from there. And then of course lots of pictures of the quaint little town I live in now.

Nothing matters but the presents. It's rather despicable in my eyes. Why have we grown to be so materialistic?

What do you really cherish about the holidays? I tell you what I cherish. Having a family that loves me. Having friends that call me to see if I'm having a good day. Baking cookies with my mom and going for a walk with my dad. Decorating the tree and seeing how it turns out when it's all done. Just talking, while listening to music, about lives, experiences. The general warmth that friends and family exude around this time of year.

Now tell me, is that not enough? Or do we need to shower each other in presents? I'm not going to be a bitch about this. I did ask for something this year. And yes, I hoped I would get it. But for years I never asked for anything. And as hypocritical as I sound right now, when it came to the price of that thing, I told my parents not to buy it. Because for me it's the happiness not the gifts that matter.

It's something that's always upset me about this season. The fact that we can't do without the gifts. That we whine, bitch, moan, and complain if we didn't get what we wanted.

Anywho. I want to thank my loved ones on this site for being the people they are.



You're a great friend, I always have a good time when we hang out and you've grown dear to me.



You're always there when I need to rave and rant. I appreciate that. I never thought we'd get over that rough spot but we did. And I couldn't be happier about it.

A friend and I spent some time together last night, walking around in Saturday night San Jose. He shot with my chemical camera while I went wild with my digital one. I've uploaded the good shots I got from the digital one, and I'll be developing the film sometime this week.

It's nice to finally get back into the swing of photography.

It just doesn't look as good as it could.

Basic Photography: about two hours of lecture and three hours of lab time.
It's rather interesting and looks like it's going to be a fun class. Expensive though, but I don't mind spending the money for my passion. =]

I had finished Murderface's arms and legs, as you can see in the WIP, but when I opened it tonight his arms and legs are gone and his temp face that I did is there again, after I had erased it the other day.

So I'm not sure how it happened and the only way I can remedy it is by re-doing it. A minor setback, a minor annoyance.

This is the second time I've had an issue with Adobe Illustrator. I had been working on this really great illustration of a soldier in warfare, based on a Call of Duty 4 screenshot. Well I had started the illustration in Adobe Illustrator CS3 and once my trial ran out I let the file just sit on my computer. When I got Adobe Illustrator CS2 the other day a huge chunk of the file and the reference picture were gone. I select the reference picture and it outlines the entire thing but it doesn't show up. So I've no clue what happened there but I wish I could fix it. That illustration was turning out really well.

In any case, no fear and don't fret, the Dethklok will get done. I will re-do and not give up on it.
