Ooh, ouch. Look at this mess of colours. Here, I'm experimenting with transparencies. Not ONE colour in this is at 100% opacity, and I have about 130 layers of various browns, reds, and blacks that you can barely see. ;3;

Not going to be on for a while...

'Cause I need to cut down on my internet time. My adviser here at school has been monitoring my internet usage and has told me that I have been "ONLINE" for 52 hours (non-consecutively). Now, I'm pretty sure I haven't been actually ON the computer all those hours, as I do leave open youtube videos before a long day so I don't have to load them when I come back in the limited amount of time I have between school and sports. (That counts, right there, as 8 hours.) How was I supposed to know that leaving open youtube videos would get my the evil glare from my adviser?

Also, my adviser reports directly to my mother, so this tidbit of information may or may not get to her. If it does, be assured that I will be involved in a battle over my laptop. If it is confiscated, that means bad grades due to lack of word-processing, no photoshop to do colours in, and particularly almost no ability to compete in ANY OCT.

This said, I must say I'm going to be away for a while, or at least a week or so. I'll try to check in every so often, but I really cannot stay on. This also means no MSN for extended periods of time...

If you see me on (I think I'm set to 'allow people to see online' ), please KICK ME OFF.

I really love you guys. See ya again once I'm not under the monitoring system! (a week or so).

Hehehe, I've had this header in my external drive for such a long time that I decided it was time to put it to good use. I'm not sure how it's going to work on other people's computers (it looks fine on mine), but, then again, I have a really wide screen....

On note, mini-feature. First five comments = 1 deviation presented here on the journal. ^__^

1. A wonderful little picture that's sure to bring a smile to your face. 8D He's just so cute~

2. Gawsh, Sabie, I am envious of your comicking skills. *___* It's so organized and wonderful~ And the expression of the characters' faces!

3. Usually, I would have chosen one of her awesome comic pages, but I thought that I should point out something other than her incredible drawing talent. She also is a creative costume-maker. ;D It's rather incredible what she managed to do with some remnants of black lace and other cloths. ALL WITHOUT SEWING

4: Gwah, one of my best friends and a great writer to boot. I chose to feature this one 'cause *cough* it's also an audition to Battle Of Limbah.

These are my friends, close friends, and best buddies with a few that have inspired me thrown in the mix.

My best girl friend on DeviantArt. Owner of lovable OCs and is actually quite lovable herself (hug and cuddle-wise). And her growth in drawing and colouring have been wonderful; now I can see all my favorite characters in wonderful, stylish colours!
Gah, what wonderful use of textures and subtle shadows! *_* And the pose.... My gawd, the pose is so wonderful with the back showing the scars and foot popping forward and him peeking over his shoulder as if to say "...Heh. >83 ".

Another lovable friend. Her characters are wonderfully gruesome (haha, *teal*). Possibly the best person with markers that I know!
(Didn't I say that she was just awesome with markers? 8D ~ )

This lady is brilliant with her drawings. *_* Must I say more? Her style is unique and gorgeous, and her humour is wonderful to boot. She's also the MEGA-OCT-QUEEN with a rather impressive track record that spans through IF, NT, AATR, and more!
Even her sketchies are mind-blowing! Geesh. If they had a 'fave the whole gallery', I'd definitely press it.

Hahha, this wonderful friend is the rock-star as far as muscles, dragons, and boxing things are concerned (at least in my mind).

When I was very little, mostly dragons or trees or fusions of animals. Helicopter Bunny was the best... for about 2 seconds.

Male. Totally male. Less... curvage. Though I draw very feminine boys apparently. >___>;;

Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Short. Less hair to make problems with.

Facing left. That way it shows most of their 'mediocre' sides. Have you noticed that most of my characters have their worst sides on the right side of their face? ;3

Front.

Backgrounds... *destroys*

What do you like to draw?
Monsters and experiments. My mom thinks I'm mentally disturbed for not drawing normal things like rainbows and birds.

... Sorta both, I guess. I usually draw stuff traditionally and then colour it with either sharpies or photoshop or both.

Hair down. Hair's the hardest. It can go so wrong.

Bwahhhhhh~ My dad's back in the house, though mom is still a bit paranoid about him. At least he's sleeping in the house! 8D Also, that reassures little brother, who was just crying about how he didn't want "Mommy and Papa to fight". Of course, he thought it was his fault. Which it wasn't.

Also, what sparked the big argument from a couple of days ago is that papa's girlfriend CONFRONTED my mom at the bookstore. Yep. That's right. THEY MET. And said things that will not be repeated here. Anyways, mom seems a bit over it, though she's being a bit stricter around the house.

Papa's out for a colonoscopy today, and Mom's out to Bible study for another hour or so. Which means...
SUPER-HERO LITTLE BROTHER BABYSIT TIME. I'll just turn on the computer and he'll be stuck to it for the rest of the day like a moth to a light! Easiest babysitting job ever!

Anyways! I've been a bit in an art-low for the last few days, only to be broken by a little Pan colour-doodle for a *hopefully* upcoming new CSS. *Needs some colour!* I'll be trying to draw/do something by the end of the week.

Apparently, my dad is having an affair/girlfriend.

We went to a restaurant with my grandparents to celebrate little brother's birthday, and we just got home, and I stole one of Andre's new books to read it. While I was back in my room reading, I hear my mom come back and start yelling at my dad, "Do you have something to tell me?" Then they close the door to their bedroom and start yelling at each other (or my mom towards my dad), and I can hear it because the walls are really thin.

I'm not sure about the extent, but my mom started crying after Papa said he'd seen so-said girlfriend a few times over the past few weeks.

...

Papa just left; mom kicked him out of the house for the night. I know that they've been really getting out-of-touch lately...

My mom's currently in melt-down, hysterical crying mode, and little brother is scared gutless of the yelling. He's in my room right now with me, crying his head off.

*sighs and sulks...*

I'm going to call my aunt and see if she can come over and talk to my mom.

So, I've spent the last few days just lounging about my house. Went to a graduation party for my older cousin, and I've been stuck babysitting one of my littler cousins. At the moment, we're watching Disney movies, but I've seen them all before, so only paying half-attention. XD

Yesterday was my little brother's birthday; got him a piggy bank and some old coins. Gosh, old quarters are HARD to find. >___>;;

I WANT TO DRAW. Need to get off procrastinating and start pencilling!

This is my exam week, so I won't be doing any art uploads, and... if I do... it means I pretty much have taken to procrastinating on all of my studies.

Tomorrow, I have my English exam. It's mainly focusing on theThe Odyssey and some 100 vocab words. ;3; Guess what our essay is? To write a resume for Odysseus as if he were in modern day LA, trying to get a job.

Anyways, I've been thinking about careers that Odysseus would try out for. I've come up with a Naval officer. Anywho, I'm still searching.

So, anyways, if you pay any attention to my gallery, you would have seen that I uploaded 3 photos of the Jesuita wildfire that's happening just over the hills from my boarding school. It's a bit smoky here, but, other than that, I have to say we're pretty safe. The firefighters are just scared that the fire will snake back up and around the hills and attack SB from the other side. Hopefully, that won't happen.

On the other hand, a more postitive note: we had one of the Reverends who were with Martin Luther King Jr. during his last hour come around to our school today. It was very interesting, and he had amazing... AMAZING speech skills. He talked about the assassination and how MLK was shot just next to him. ;3;

Grah update: It died.

New update: OKAY. So yesterday, I was walking back from the assembly hall when I nearly step on this little baby bird. I left it there because I thought its mom and papa would come to get it. (Lesson learned from last time, I guess?)
THIS MORNING, I'm walking across campus so I could clean the Community Center (that's my chore), when I see the same baby bird in nearly the same exact spot. It was all misty this morning and its feathers were all poofed up where it had them (there's still some pink on it) and it was shivering. It didn't even really react when I picked it up and ran it to the bio lab to see if I could borrow a box from them.

I've been slowly raising my grades, but they're still not at the place that I would like them to be.

And Ooh! I'm in my school's art relay! I get to miss a day of school in order to mess around on an art project! 8D No maths or sports or anything! *giddy happy glee*

School is almost done for me. Pretty much just 4 more weeks.

Also, way in advance, I know, but I'll be one for about 2 months during the summer, which means long-time absence. Have to make the most of the one summer month I get!

And on to~

Well, I'll make it short. Lately, I've been paying much more attention to my Deviantart and drawings and OCTing and stuff rather than trying to get better in school. Seeing that I really need to bolster my grades, I'm setting a goal for myself, all based on a series of tests my teachers have set up for this week.

If I average above an 80%, I will finish up my PE round as pre-planned. I'll have shown myself that I really can concentrate on more than 3 things at once. This still means, however, that I will have to make my plot something super-duper exciting if I have any chance of beating my awesome opponent.

If I average below an 80%, I fear that I will have to concede to the dear =SabieMoonbeam in order to concentrate more on school. However, I just won't drop out. I will still write something up which involves her characters beating mine or mine surrendering to hers, but even this would be considerably shorter and easier to write than the actual round.

Even though those I've chatted to on Skype may go "D8 Noes! Dem! D8< You said you would never drop out of a tourney!", I frankly must say that I really need these grades to go up, or else my summer will by a whole mess of "Remedial Lessons in Chemisty; taught by Mama Dearest". No B is good enough for the mother; apparently, only A's are good enough.
And for dad... Eh. He's alright. All he cares for is that I do my best.

On the end note, I am happy that this is the ending round of ~Perfect-Experiment. Frankly, I am worn out from OCTs, and I'll hopefully have a long time to recuperate and reform some of my ideas for future ones in maybe a year or two.

To those I chat with on Skype: I won't be on for most of the rest of this week, considering how awkwardly cruel it would be to fail the tests due to over-chatting and under-studying, especially when it's you guys who I'm talking to.

Tomorrow, I'm going back to my boarding school. Which means tonight will be the last night I really can stay on the internet past 11 PM (for those who don't know, my internet turns off at 11 PM at school). Just thought I'd warn the people who I've been bothering at 2 in the morning. XD I'm just unable to get on; I'm not ignoring you.

My subscription only has a month left! D: Since my debit card is still grounded away from me, I'm opening up just a comission or two. Basically...
You can ask me for anything (that isn't sexual) and I will draw it. I can do pencils, inkings, digital colourations, traditional colourations, chibis, realism... I'll just set something like a 1 month subscription for everything at the moment and maybe say 1 or 2 additional characters for a 3 month subbie. 12 months, I'll throw away every rule: no character count limit and anything you want.

I might as well say that I won't be joining any more OCTs for a long while, unless someone or something can convince me otherwise. Now, to the nitty-gritty.
So, NT Round 5. Possibly the longest thing I've ever written in the shortest amount of time. 95 pages, 11 font, double spaced, in the small time slot of about 3 weeks (since I had to share the time with Perfect-Experiment too).
*sigh*
Personally, I feel it's a bit hastily written, even though I did get it all down and, looking over it, I can say I feel a bit self-satisfied.

My biggest concern is the characterization/dialogue of my opponent's character, Bruke. Frankly... I'm not a person who can relate or get in the minds of 'depressed, I wanna die' characters, so his character was definitely a bit tough for me to write. >.>;; Sorry, Digi, but it's the truth. I'm sorry if I butcher his personality, though I did try to give him SOME sort of a happy ending, so maybe that can get me forgiveness?

Also, the setting in itself was huge, so I had to shave off major description parts there. I mean... Well. You'll see.

Another also, my savior for this round: She's been so nice about proofreading my entries. T_T Go over by her account and give her hug, 'cause she might have to go evacuatin' tomorrow 'cause of a cyclone.

Well, anyways, there's my random little drabble. I won't be surprised if I'm kicked this round; this is the farthest I've ever been in any OCT, and I'm getting reallllly paranoid and tired. All the people left are AMAZING. ;3;

Last Friday, I came down with an intense headache + a sharp pain in the stomach. I went to sleep really early that night, slept 11 hours, woke up feeling better. However, at the end of the day, it was back, and the next morning left me floating around Sunday like a zombie. @_@ AND THE HEADACHE + STOMACHACHE WOULDN'T LEAVE AT ALL.
Yesterday, I went to the nurse early morning, and she said it was a problem in my intestines. Though the headache has finally left, I'm still left with the ache in my stomach. XD

Since Sunday morning, I've had 2 meals really because my stomach really couldn't handle anymore than that. (Also,the kitchen seems to be made of infinite amount of bananas, which is one of the FOUR things I am ALLOWED to eat-- for my own good.)(_{Also, ate four bananas for the first time in forever yesterday before dinner and I never want to see a banana again}). For example, I ate some beef and then was in agony about 2 hours later. XD; So apparently, the diet the nurse suggested was not just to bother me.

Ah well though. On to the other subject

TUMOURS!
One of my favorite teachers here at school has a tumour in his leg, just below his knee, and he can barely walk on that leg. He's going into surgery next week and he's been really pessimistic about it and terrorizing people with the 'if you don't hear from me, I'm dead, but I regret nothing' story, including me. (Ohhoohoh, fun teacher, fun). But still. T_T I'm hoping he does well.

Also, I have finished my NT entry writing wise and I'm trying to get some drawings done tonight.

Okay, let's get started!
1. I have fallen in love with the frozen turkey balls that my mom makes for the spaghetti. I could eat a million just straight from freezer, since the cooking makes all the spices and flavor go away.

2. I know people who work at the local asylum and prison. One of them was my nanny for about 3 years.

3. I have tried to give chocolate to the people in juvenile hall. The policemen wouldn't let me. (Haha, 12 year old girl who lives only a block away from juvenile hall).

4. I have a tendency to incur injuries on my feet. At the moment, my middle toe is missing half a nail, I have a half-healed spiderbite just above my ankle, and I dug halfway into a callus to figure out whether a spot was trapped blood or a birthmark. So...

5. I have no intention of ever being a doctor. Instead, I want to dissect dead people as a Medical Examiner (Forensics).

6. I've participated in the US Open for Karate in Las Vegas. Got 1 silver (for fighting) and 1 bronze (for organized moves) in the 12-13 Female Beginner division versus a girl from Japan and a girl from Mexico.

7. I've tried to disinfect cat bones with mouthwash. They turned all mushy after two weeks and my mom finally found them in my closet. They were thrown away before I could thread them together into a necklace.

8. People say that I am strong/brave because: I've picked up a dead cat and took out part of its spine (see above); I used a mini dissection kit when I was 7 to dissect roly polies; I can touch a lizard, fish, snake, or... ]]>

Edit:
I got a little silver matchbox off of one of my dormparents to use as his coffin. Inside, I put some tissue, some little plastic flowers he had in his bowl, some blue pebbles, and a penny. After, I went and buried him under the big tree right behind my dorm.

I'm pretty sure he died of a drastic water temperature drop. It got pretty cold here over Christmas vacation, and Stem was nearer to the heater. It was still really much MUCH colder than it should have been when I got them back this morning.
(You're supposed to keep them at 70+ degrees usually. The water of STEM'S bowl was around 55 this morning. I didn't test Butterfly's.)

Ahahaaa~ I've been such a bad person for not wishing you guys a Happy Christmas! Please forgive me!
Things lately have just been hectic. All the cousins wanted to see me, so I was just passed around from house to house pretty much. STEAL THE DEM FOR THE NIGHT GAME IS OVER HOPEFULLY DONE WITH NOW THOUGH.

Christmas was wonderful, although my mom kind of used me to forward gifts to my little brother. (Didn't want to make me feel bad with him having 20 presents under the tree for the Pandre' and only 5 gifts for the Dem, so she split them up. But hey, Wii games about war and guns. She knows I'm not going to keep them. XD)

A Horrid Week, but on to Vacation!

And on to~

Yeah... this week was a bit of a bummer as far as school goes (which is basically my LIFE since I have to live there). All of the teachers seemed to have a plot to cram all of their tests and projects into this last week, which STUNK.
And sports didn't help.

Among those things I had to do:
_{52 card designs.

5 page research paper (but the teacher pushed it up to 10 pages on the Sunday before it was due).

English Persuasive Speech.

Chem test. (Open-book, open-note, but we only learned about it this last Monday and we were a whole class behind the other one, who also took the test today. So we were missing a good fourth of the notes. >.< )

French: subbed for one of the French I teachers.

2 Algebra II quizzes.

2-hour cookie making practice with my advisor. (Actually, this was one of the only fun things I did all week).

Wednesday: two hour drive down to a rival school, where it began to be windy and pour bucket-loads of water. Refs never showed up, but the rival coach volunteered to ref. We were against wind and the rival coach was SO BIASED. >.> Deeeath.)}

Having a Chemistry Test last period before Christmas vacation is especially horrible, since you're pretty much in the 'Ohhhhhh dearrr loooord, VACATION' mind-set around lunchie-time. *sigh* I think I did horrible.

Ah well.
TOMORROW I'M GOING HOME!

You know what that means, right? Yep! No traditional art from me for a while, and maybe an absence of digital art for a while. I'll still be drawing though, especially for PE and MCA concept art.

OCTs!

Hahhahahaa.... I'm so behind. Due to the horrid list of 'had to do's above, my round is a little behind. I have paragraphs written out on regular paper, but I still have to type those up plus draw at least ONE comick page.

As for , the boss battle deadline is almost here, and I have yet to do a boss cover page, which probably means that I won't. >.> I'm sorry, but I'm just dead with gloomy, "I hate school" feelings right now.

And on to~

I have two new pets, two new Betta fish!

Stem, named after 's OC, was given to me as a birthday present. He's pink and blue and very active. LOVES food. Possibly the BEST birthday present I ever got because.... it's a pet.... that I can have at the place where I'm at for about 9 months of the year.

And then....

Butterfly, named after my own OC to complete the Stem/Butterfly 'brotherhood'. (Can you tell that I love how Butterfly can have a big brother?)

Well, anyways, Butterfly is the fish who I would hate to be. He's been in the biology lab for about 2 months now in barely two inches high water (which was disgusting with his own filth). >3>
Apparently, the other Bettas from the lab found new homes or died, but no one claimed him after the bio class's experiment-lab ended. This morning, I finally asked the bio teacher if I could take care of him, and she basically said, "Keep him."

So now he's in a fishie bowl with his plants and gravel, and he's actually moving, which was a lot better than the condition he was in this morning. Only thing I would say is that he can't really seem to use his back fin, which is always drooping down like it's paralyzed. But he can still swim about, and he seems to like to hide in the plants I put in. I'm just hoping he recovers until he can use his back fin again. :3

Anyways, that's what's preoccupying my time at the moment~ Also halfway through a plushie and trying to break through a small art block, but other than that, everything's good!

Due to my parent's getting stuck in traffic a bit while coming down to pick me up, my departure to Las Vegas was a bit delayed. But oh well. Now, only ten minutes till a ten-hour car drive.

First off! In , I somehow managed to win over and his awesome entry. Still, judging from the marks that our judges gave us, it was REALLY, REALLY close.

NOW GO OVER AND WATCH BECAUSE HE IS AWESOME.

Now, for the bad news.

This morning my computer went "KA-POOSH!" and died on me. I've sent it down to the local tech support people, and hopefully they'll be able to fix it, but, till then, my PE entry is being handwritten and slowly transferred over to emails via library/computer lab computers. As for this journal, I'm borrowing a friend's laptop to do it. ;3;

Edit: Okay, so the tech guys spent most of yesterday and today fixing my poor, little computer, and, in the process, pretty much wiped out what of the PE round I had gotten down in writing. But it should be quick getting it all back down in MS Word since I remember my general story and most of it in general.

Well, today was an especially horrible day, ranging from fire drills during the few hours I actually got to sleep to being pummeled down in our first volleyball game to not having any motivation to right more of my Perfect-Experiment round tonight. Plus, I seem to not be able to even sketch a thing.

Internet in my room has gone dead because it hates me. I'm using the library computer to post this. Don't expect me around for a day or two, or until I can get the local technological genius to help me with my computer.

On Tuesday morning, second day in Yosemite, I woke up to find a black bear laying on my feet and eating my chapstick. It was so cool yet scary at the same time!

...Of course, once I screamed (which set our whole group into hysterics since it was still night), it tore off like a bullet. Those bears are shy! o3o Still missed my chapstick though, seeing how my lips were in bloody ruins by Thursday. XD

SO ANYWAYS!
I'm back, as you can probably tell by the fact I'm posting up a journal. Yosemite was great: good weather, enough food for the group, nice lakes with good fishing, over 20 miles of hiking on our particular trail... AND, OF COURSE, THE CUDDLY BEARS THERE.

And, dear lord, typing on the keyboard feels so strange now....

Okay! Other than that, I have decided that, with both and in full gear, I will have to FINISH my NT entry by this Saturday night. So... About 3 days in all. x.x After that, I leave for Yosemite, and I have to save the last seven days for Perfect Experiment, since I don't want to drop out or back out of that either.

So... From now on, the comicks may just be inks with slight coloring or such. I'm so sorry about it too! T.T Especially to ! I really wish I could give my all for this comic, but with school starting and the Yosemite trip and everything!

Well, for PE, I've ended up going against first round! Wish me luck!
