Bonjour everyone!

Just back from the 24 Heures du Mans, the 24hr bike race, and all I can say is wow! The entire concept of a 24 hour race is so hard to get your head around! A normal BSB or MotoGP is 25 laps - the winning SERT team at Le Mans did 770!

Got some great shots - it's so wierd shooting bikes at dawn, dusk or in the midle of the night! Got a nice gallery to upload over the next few days, and some from the absoultly bonkers campsite too!!

Au revoir!

Well, things in wintry Dundee have been quite quiet since UFC, with not a whole lot photography-wise happening. Although, with hindsight, I suppose more than happens most terms has been going on!

I've been doing a fair bit of sports work, rugby and hockey, and may have secured a job for next term taking photos for the university's sports union, which is relatively awesome!

Got a rugby match tomorrow, which is nothing spectatular, but it means I get to play with my new toy, whcih arrived a month early today... a well-used and battle scarred D2H!! It's ex-Stephen Davison (the bike togs out there may know who he is) and it's a hell of a step up from the D50, especially with it's 8fps, 1/8000 speeds and 11-point autofocus!

In other news, ya'll may have noticed some more modelling stuff appearing in the gallery - I haven't done any since last summer, and when the wonderful Catriona and Nicole emailed me through my account on modelmayhem.com, I couldn't say no! Some more of them to still go online.

That's about it really... next big trip is the Le Mans 24hr race at the end of April, then 2 weeks of uni, home for the North West 200, TT, and the start of a very busy season of bikes!!!

Hey all!

On the train (National Express trains = free wifi!) back from Newcastle (great town for a night out!) after UFC 80. Fight night was excellent, if a bit short on providing for the togs - of the nine bouts, four ended in the first round, and only two went the full distance. But, lots of KOs and lots of striking, so not too bad.

The only real problem I had all night was a (personally) really bad call by the ref to end Colin Robinson's fight at 0.17 of the first round... So not too many shots of Big C in action, which isn't great, seeing as he was the reason I was there!

Newcastle is an awesome town for a night out! Lots of rocking clubs and pubs (Revolution next to the train station do excellent cocktails!) - we ended up in a club called Blu Bamboo on Friday with Michael Bisping, and then the afterparty in the Hilton on Saturday.

Apart from the UFC, not much has been happening photography wise. I've entered a few competitions recently, including the Scottish Press Photography Awards, so we'll see how that goes - I've never entered photography competitions before.

Discovered from my lecturer that we start forensic photography in a month on the course, which I can't wait for!! Should be great, and it's something I'm considering specialising in.

OK, a lot has happened this week lol...

London was good, although the way things worked out, I didn't get to see much of the town itself, but doesn't matter - got some good touristy shots.

UFC went really well - loads of good stuff, and maybe a little more work out of the weekend (all helps to pay the bills). Had a good conversation with Randy Couture (World Heavyweight Champ), too - and he gave us his pass as a birthday present for our mate!

Paris was excellent - wasn't at all bored being in town on my own for three days. I can only recommend the excellent Fat Tire Bike Tours, who run an excellent free walking tour of the city. Paris is a photographer's dream, and I got a ton of stuff - but I really want to go back with a model to work with....

Now I'm at the Bol d'Or (the 24 hour motorbike endurance race) at Magny Cours, and I am not a happy chappie. The press office is top-notch, but I'm paying for the internet access in it, and the DAMN BRIDGE across the track is locked, so I'm sitting in the press office during the first qualifying session...

Hopefully it will improve! Night practice is later, so I'm looking forward to that. Updates on their way.

Just in from the Ulster Grand Prix - the best race in Ireland!!! The weather all week has been awful, but thankfully we got through most of race day (lost two races), and most importantly, noone was hurt all weekend (apart from some pride!). The photos have turned out awesomely - one in particular is the talk of the paddock - Guy Martin went up the inside of Ian Hutchinson, and Hutchy was none too happy - said Guy was too tight... But my photo sort of proved him wrong!

I'll get a selection uploaded soon.

In other news, just worked out the details this weekend of my latest adventure - the Bol d'Or 24 hour endurance race at Magny Cours next month!!! I'm so excited about the whole prospect of motorbike racing at night! Endurance racing is something I've been planning to tick off my to-do list for a long time, so well pleased. And of course get to cheer for my mates Steve Plater (he's gonna win the title!) and Stephen Thompson (who's making his endurance debut).

Well... Just back from the IOM, and my trip for the TT, which was... interesting to say the least! From a photo point of view, it was awesome, and I got some really excellent pics which I'm really pleased with (and shall upload on here asap). However... managed to break both my laptop (which WAS 2 and a half years old anyway...) and my 70-300 Sigma lens. Fortunatly, Stephen Davison (some of you know who he is!) has promised me a second hand Nikkor of his, so hopefully collecting it on Friday. THis weekend is looking quite busy, as well, with UFC in Belfast on Saturday night (IF I can get accredited... the only people who will are blacklisted by the UFC lol) and then Mondello Park BSB on Saturday (whose press officer I can't get hold of...). So, minus the inaptitude of press officers worldwide and the huge hole in my bank account, all is well!!
