It's Christmas day and almost 1 in the afternoon, i have been awake for just 2 hours and I want to go to the gym but it's closed now so I"m cruising around the web wondering what all those other happy people are doing with their families today. I wish I could get some more photography jobs so I could post some more things here but it is slow in the world right now and I'm barely hanging on. I'm going through a yucky spell where I really can't get a job and I'm gonna get booted soon and have to live in my car with my two dogs. Well please keep happy thoughts for me that I can get some work soon.

It seems as though my attention span seems to wane at the most inconvenient of moments. Alas I have been working with trying to find a job after graduation and succeeding very little of course unfortunately. The economy is such a wreck now that even despite having a $100,000 degree at one of the finest universities in the country, I am having little luck finding a job. Most of my friends are in the same boat as well. So at least I don't feel like a total dufus. Oh well. So I will keep on pushing. I am in the background process for police dispatcher in Santa Barbara and am thinking about applying for the actual police department at a couple of other places--no laughing. I took the CHP physical and written test but didn't pass so I gotta keep trying and keep trucking. For those of you who don't know the thing that I really really like is theater. It has always been what I was into and what got me to be in pictures in the first place.

So I was thinking about applying to NYU's graduate school of acting. Only 18 people a year are accepted into that program and if I don't make it then I can keep trying but I"m sure I'll never know if I have a chance or not unless I try.

My lifelong dream has been to be on SNL in case you haven't noticed, I am on the comedic side, or at least I like to tell myself that I am. On that note, I tried out for an improv group last night and "they'll let me know" story of my life. ha ha. oh well. But I have been taking pictures here and there and trying my best not to get too lazy in this post-baccularate stage of my life.

So keep your fingers crossed, wish me luck and all that jazz.

I'm so excited to be back and working again. So let me fill you in a little bit. Things have been going insane for me!

My best friend and roommate are moving to Tuscon on Thursday, my boyfriend is moving to Massachussetts and I will be moving out of San Diego to my good ole' hometown. My job will be ending in June as will my basic schooling. For the most part. I graduate from UCLA June 14th, but I still have to take 2 classes in the summer.

Then what? No clue. I'm applying at places so we will see. And! For the first time ever! I'm going to have my own place. I'm so very excited. I too will be moving on Thursday.

Needless to say I have been overloaded. But I want to thank you all for your continued support. I don't have a subscription anymore and I'm pinching pennies because of my new place so I may be slow in getting back to messages.

But my friend Sarah forced me out of my hiatus and as nervous as I was since I haven't shot in so long, they turned out phenomenal! I can't post all of them because they are not for your eyes! But I will post what I can. I'm still editing them so please show me your support as I slowly but surely work through them. Your comments are always appreciated!

Today is an exciting day for me. I have recently reached 8000 pageviews!!! I'm so proud of that.

I haven't been able to get out much and take as many pictures as I would like to because of my surgery but hopefully that will all change very soon. :)

Since I have had so much time on my hands lately I have been devoting myself to playing on my computer, working with Photoshop cleaning up old files and everything else I could think of to keep myself from going stir crazy. So I would like to ask you if you have any good Photoshop tutorials you could point me in the right direction to I would really appreciate it. :) I'm just trying to expand my horizons a little here.

I would also like to let you all know that I have been entered into the Miss Internet 2008 pageant! I really really need to get some studio lights and equipment because all I have right now is my piece o' crap Nikon SB600 which sucks royal ass. As some of you know I recently had surgery. I had to have my ovary removed due to a very large cyst on the 16th of Oct. I've been recupperating but now I'm starting to get cabin fever, hence why I'm back here! ha ha. So I know :iconundercheese101: forwarded me a lot of your get well cards and I just wanted to say how very happy I am that you all did that for me. I only got 2 get well cards while I was in the hospital and I was rather disheartened but getting all of your letters really cheered me up so I wanted to say thank you again.

I have some ideas that I'm going to be working on and I'm still looking for some more models to use for my "modern princesses." It's really not as easy as it may seem.

I found my Snow White, but now I'm trying to figure out how to make her dwarves. Could I use dogs? or maybe those cardboard cutouts of people? Dead computers. Something that represents society today, but where people could still understand that I'm trying to portray Snow White. I would really appreciate any ideas for any of my princesses. Those of you who are familiar with my work, have already seen my modern day Cinderella, where we made her dress black and exchanged the glass slipper for a blue converse.

Here are the princess that I plan to use:
Sleeping Beauty (I already have a model picked out for this)
Snow White (Have a model)
Mulan (Possibly in a marine uniform? That's easily accessible to me)
Pocahontas
The Little Mermaid

So I've realized how Pathetic I am today....
Now John *Undercheese101 thinks i'm great because i'm pretty ridiculous...that's ok. So hear what I did today and why I wanted my camera so badly.


today I worked from 8am to 6 pm. then i drove like a madperson to the beach for 40 minutes to get a good picture of the sunset, which didn't work so well. Then I had to drive my dumbass 1 and a half hours to my apartment, then I realized that I had to go to church for a project for one of my classes. We have this huge project due on Tuesday but I wasn't told about it until Thursday, so I worked 35 hours this weekend, then had to run back and get dressed to go to church. but that's besides the point....

Anyways I had started my dinner, a gourmet meal of Pasta Roni...yeah because i'm a good chef like that and I was told by my grandma that no man would ever marry me until I learned to cook, but if a man wants to marry me he'll have to accept the fact that he'll be living off of pasta roni for the rest of his life or cooking for his damn self....

Ok...

so then i realize it's 835 pm and i have to be at mass at 9
i don't even know where this place is...
ok i know i'm blond at heart.

so i run into my room fall over in my closet, throw on a dress and heels.... i forgot about my food cooking, tripped out the door and turned off the stove. my ride calls me then says she'll be at my place in 5 minutes. so what do i do in my cute pink heels and black dress?


yeah... you called it? grabbed a fork and shovelled that nasty processed pasta into my foodhole straight outta the pot. and jsut wished i had a camera to take a picture of my stupid ass.

Anways...

Yes i've gone and done it, i've bought an official subscription, thought i would test it out for a little bit. I was wondering if I should be making my pictures available as prints? Let me know what you think and please visit my friends pages too as I wouldn't be keeping an eye on them if they weren't fantastic! Check out some of my favorites too!

OK! i'm sooooooooo excited. I splurged yesterday and went a little crazy. in addition to my 3 new photography books i bought a new flash, the Nikon SB-600, and new tripod and a new lens 70-300mm, sooo nice. i've been setting up some pics of objects and people to take pics of and update and i'm really really excited to start experimenting i'm hope you are excited to see them and i will be adding new stuff immediately! please comment.

I've cleaned up my page more so my personality and style of art shines through more. Please please let me know if you are missing a particular picture I may have removed or if there is a pic that I have here that is just not wowing you and you think I should remove it. I want my page to be the best it can be with your help and I'm going to be touching up the one's I am deciding to keep on here as well. No more joking around.

I think she looks so incredible.
