DevilDog Studio is Dave Parker - photography, illustration, design

April 25th, 2008

Scheduling:
March 9th - Megacon
April 30th - May 10th Cozumel
June 8th - 14th Vegas

I am driven by a despicably insatiable desire for you to see what I see. It doesn't matter to me whether you want to see it, or even if you should. It is trapped in my head until I am able to unleash it on the world. Of course I hope you like it, or at least respect it - I have an ego. The greatest difficulty I face is choosing how to to present it.

I am a freelance photographer. I shoot because I love to shoot, and some things get sold. I am an illustrator well versed in both traditional and digital mediums. I've been published a few times. I am a graphic designer - freelance for 19 years, and professional for 8.

I consider myself an artist first, and all other skills are support. I picked up shooting models to integrate my photography into my art. I probably enjoy inking with my rapidographs the most. In that veign, my idol is Virgil Finlay. I have to admit though; I have been bitten hard with my photography again. I have always carried a camera with me. But lately, I am constantly thinking about the next lens, or flash, or attachment, etc. As if there weren't enough venues to express my creativity through, another presents itself - Apophysis. Expect to see more fractal artwork.

I am in awe of this site. There are so many talented artists here, and I am grateful to be in such a community. I value your opinions, so feel free to leave a comment.

Feel free to check out my work or befriend me on other sites:
ModelMayhem
Flickr
Facebook
Myspace
There are many others, but would only interest you if you are or shoot models.

-Dave
