So last night I had this really wierd dream. o_o I went on to Neo in a side account of mine, only it wasn't the website; it was this old woman's house cluttered with beer, cigarettes, furniture, and other miscellaneous junk. I tried abandoning some pets(cause I had six for some reason. O_o; ) And you had to stand in a line and be bombarded with random ads all the time. I thought 'this isn't worth it. D:' so I decide to go to the games room. I go down the hall and find the room, and it had all the crappiest games I've ever seen in it. Disgusted, I go back to the main room and talk to the owner(Which I'm assuming is Donna, if she was an 80 year old freakishly tall old thing.) We get talking aboiut the condition of this place, and I start ranting about how Neopets has degraded over the years. "Look at this! You're serving cigarettes and beer on a KIDS SITE, that can't be happening!" After chiding her for every sin on the site, I start suggesting some improvements.
"See, Neopets is too cluttered," I begin. "Maybe if you removed this table, got rid of all this junk, and cleaned up a bit?" And as I'm saying it, people clear the stuff away. I'm shocked, but also pleased that they were actually listening to me. "Move that sofa around, get rid of that chair, maybe you could move that lamp..." et cetra, et cetra. Finally I'm satisfied with the room, and marvel at how I cleaned up Neo.

Strange dream, eh? o_O

Ten Things You Know About Your Art: Tag

Post 10 things you know about your own artwork in your journal then tag some friends to do the same. It could be things you hold dear, just a few nitpicks you might have, maybe even something you'd just like everyone to know.

1.) My style is loosely based on 's... waay back when I was addicted to Neo and read her cartoon in the NT. o_O

2.) My lineart is very shakey. xD I have no control over my hand.

3.) My human drawings... suck. A lot. D: Even when I try and improve them, it just seems worse than when I first started.

4.) I hardly ever include backgrounds.

5.) My drawings are not nearly as good as I'd like them to be.

6.) I haven't had any decent training in years; most of my "improving" was self-taught or learned by observing.

7.) I can't draw realism. At all.

8.) I've been experimenting with different coloring techniques when I should be improving my lineart.

9.) Most of my drawings are "just standing there." They don't really do anything. o_O

10.) I can draw a lot better by hand than I can on the computer.

Burro's Soap Box

We had a lesson about Sexual Sins today, and that's one subject that I have very strong feelings about. It is second only to murder, and is unfortunately a problem I see a /lot/ of people disregarding like it was nothing. You're led to think by the media that this garbage is fun, that it will bring you "happiness". I can tell you now that it never /was/ happiness, ever. Whatever "satisfaction" you feel is not being happy. The feeling lasts a total of what, five seconds? Then it wears off and you're left with months, years, or even a lifetime of misery that only gets worse if you try to dig deeper into it. "It" can be porn, steady dating, dating before you're 16, having sex before marriage... Anything. I ask you to stop, because if you continue such a path it'll lead you to hell. Not the silly fire-and-brimstone hell where little devils run around with pitchforks. I mean having a broken home with an ex-husband who always harasses you, a child who is suicidal because she wasn't loved when she was young. Stop. I beg you. You don't want that.


If the rant above strikes a wrong chorde with you, tough. I mean every word of it, and no amount of goading or ridicule will make me apologize. The truth hurts, and I've had "sex" and all that crap shoved down my throat for far too long. Now it's your turn. Deal with it.
