That's all she wrote. But not me. In the interest of not yammering on and on and on about my life in a blog I will use bullet points. But colorful ones because the un-color of most of my characters in Soul-Cal drives me insane. (Okay, I insist upon color with many of them. BECAUSE MY CHARACTERS WEARING ALL BLACK WAS A BAD IDEA)

Anyway:

:bulletred: All but have my first day set-up with a job I managed to achieve at Godiva
:bulletorange: I managed to get some sort of semi-maybe-important position
:bulletyellow: Good pay (okay, maybe not, but it's better than nothing) but lots of hours
:bulletgreen: As in 20-30 during semester.
:bulletblue: If that's not crazy making, I also will have to be looking into transferring to a different college as well this month for after I graduate in the fall. And I'm taking five classes.
:bulletpurple: I'll work it out, I'm sure, but I don't do the excessive-stress thing well. Caused me a lot of problems health-wise a few years back. I mean, I already don't sleep 'cause of chronic insomnia because I'm always thinking about something (even things I'm going to write)
:bulletred: Obviously...I'm a weeee bit anxious about this.

Okay: Now for yammering on and on about dA things that drive me up the wall. Well just the one thing.

WHAT THE HELL is up with these people lately. They've been around a lot I'm sure, but for my own sanity (because I really hate drama and histrionics of any kind but especially dArama) I have stayed away from a lot of dA community. However. Running a large group and a smaller one affords me the opportunity to deal with these people.

What kind of people? A very special kind. The kind that send notes everywhere alerting people of art-theft and claiming art-theft when there is none. I mean, really. I hate art-theft and I have dealt with very clear cases of art-thieves submitting to my groups (which always invokes an instant ban for the offending party). But when someone has clearly used a reference and clearly not traced and they'll admit to using a reference leave them alone. That's not against dA policy. No need to start a god-damn war about.

I mean, seriously. If it's a pose that a lot of people could think of because of how cliche a shot it is, then back down.

Or the kind of people who make a big claim about art-thievery when there is no evidence of it and when you ask for it they just sort of are like "oh, yeah, I'll get you the evidence" and never respond. Funny, yes. Annoying, maybe. Waste of my time, certainly.

Anyway. Working on something for a contest and that might be my art for a while. (ooookay, not really. But I've been writing a lot lately)

Anyway, computer OS needed re-install (it fragged, got screwed up, whatever they do that makes them die from trying to boot using a game in the CD drive) and...hasn't quite been put back into order yet.

There's a crap load of dust in this room, which makes using the computer for long periods of time rather painful and thus hard to manage my two groups.

Been writing a lot. Papers and story. And projects.

Found out that I will be able to actually graduate in the Fall. So I haven't screwed myself up scheduling my own classes. (might though, if I don't file some paperwork soon)

And...uh...gaming is fun. (WHAT. THE. HELL. WHY DOES PORT ROYALE SUCK SO MUCH IN KHII? How could they mess Pirates of the Caribbean up? I almost prefer Re:Chain to that mess)

Wandered upon the most recent series of Doctor Who (or had it forced upon me by my boyfriend. Whichever version you think is more accurate.) It is awesome. Watch it. If you are faint of heart, skip Weeping Angels. THEY. ARE. SOME. FREAKY. STUFF.

There. My life. Yeah. I feel like there hasn't been much going on either. But that's a good thing.

A Verry Merry Un-Birthday to me

Well, actually, it's not so much of an un-birthday as it is a real birthday, but I love the Hatter from Alice in Wonderland a bit too much.

Oh snowstorms, I love you and how you change the time you're supposed to hit.

So far I've gotten up and will be seeing a few people for an hour or two. Yay.


School?

Classes are fun. Early World civilization (I am totally not taking that for help with making the early history of my world. Toally not. Why would you even think such a silly thing?)

Graphic Narrative is interesting. Microeconomics is there just to complete the set of economics. And another class of which I actually don't care about, but am taking because I need to.

Points and Math Involvement

Sometimes I go for a long without writing journals, other times I do them frequently. ("Long time" = half a year, "frequently" = monthly)

But that's not the point.

Point = new semester started
New semester started = lots of time for classes
lots of time for classes = lots more time doing stuff to relax when not in classes or doing homework
lots more time doing stuff to relax when not in classes or doing homework = lots less time on the internet

About the Return of the Journal Skins



So one thing I hate about writing journals is that typically the next day I will have something else that I wanted to include in the journal. Instead of writing a new one, I'm editing this one.

So I get on dA after donating blood today. I see the * next to my name, and I can only think WTF? I look at who gave it to me. It was `Beccalicious, so I went and asked about it.

Apparently I got a one month subscription for making an icon for #Writers-Workshop. I'm not sure how many times and how many ways I can stress this if you like the idea of improving your writing ability or helping others improve

JOIN THE DAMN GROUP. IT'S AWESOME. JOIN IT NOW but only if you like the improvement of writing talent, be it your own or somebody else's

Now, I'm not going into how much I don't believe in subscriptions, because that would be ungracious of me. However, there is a fun feature involved that I'm totally using. CRITIQUE!

Wee...my birthday's in two weeks. And just to be clear, I made the icon because I love the group. Not because I wanted the pretty critique system. Which is pretty. And the pretty journal skins. Because those are pretty too.

God. I might have to be on dA more to make use of this gift. Someway. Somehow. Because I don't want it to be a waste.

I'm not sure how many people caught it, but a couple of months ago I came into ownership of #Anime-Manga-Artists which has almost a thousand members to its name.

Which is rather strange, running such a massive club considering how few people I usually am in contact with. But I don't mind, it's just that there's a lot of people with submissions and we get at least 10+ people a week wanting to join. Something like 50 a month.

So I've been overwhelmed with that lately, trying to get staff that can work (trust me, I understand a busy schedule) and lighten my load. But that overwhelming feeling isn't new. I was staff for about a year and change and for about half a year beforehand, I was the only person capable of working on the club, and that was back when I could get 5 submissions from a person everyday. Good god. They even had to close down submissions for about four months, and had over a hundred notes of submissions, each with anywhere from 1-5 pictures to submit.

Then I was moved from submitter to co-admin and worked on join notes too, and was the only person doing that as well. And when I first started on that, there was a backlog of somewhere around 150 join notes.

I cannot imagine what it's been like for the team behind designing groups. I can only imagine that it was more hectic then what I've had to deal with working on AMA.

I've been peeking around #hq's work with the groups and all the little bits of information that they've added, and dear god, I think I'm in love with the system. I have to admit, I haven't worked with the groups system personally, but from what I'm seeing, I think that I really like it. A lot. Like damn.

And it always pissed me off that dA said that there was no official support for clubs. But, even if there isn't, there's groups now, right? So we're cool.

So, I've done the only thing a sane person can, I've signed AMA up to be converted into a group. Out of desperation and out of love for the members because I really think that with groups I have great chances of being less snippy to people when they don't read things (or snippy at people asking legitimate questions because I've just spent hours dealing with the former group), and maybe things won't move at the speed of molasses moving through a tiny bottleneck in low gravity with high friction. Slowed down.

In other news. Go bombard AMA with attention. I promise I'll be nice to you.

My life is full of win right now. I had to stay up to 4 last night, get up early today. Have a lot of schoolwork to do. But, AMA is a group now. I am very happy.

:bulletorange: I am taking a poetry class this semester. Expect my next journal entry to be in poetic form.
:bulletyellow: Through a painful medical mystery that shall remain undisclosed I have decided that I am never ever getting on a water ride with my brother again. Or water rides in general but with my brother in particular.
:bulletgreen: There was a four-day bout with the common cold too. Which remained unhelped by hormones and a vast expulsion of bodily fluids.
:bulletblue: By way of psychological reasoning that remains a mystery to me, I have not had the will to anything but mindlessly play videogames until my eyes hurt. Or watch movies.
:bulletpurple: Through more reasoning of my subconscious I have had only the desire to write about horrible things that sicken me. Here I will take the time to give a little credit to The Dark Knight, Chris Nolan's Gotham, and the villain-y goodness that was the late Heath Ledger as the Joker.
:bulletred:I have recently become the administrator for a huge club (like 900 members) called ~Anime-Manga-Artists God! Send help!


:bulletwhite: On art-related news, we got a new, brighter monitor. Bright like woah. Unlike that dark monitor that we did have. So, maybe I can get my art to have the same impact to you folks with bright monitors that it has on me. It's very painful to look at a piece on someone's laptop, one I just finished and was fond of, and have to cry "WHATTTTT? BUT THAT WAS BLACK!!!! WHY IS IT NOT BLAAAACK? WHY DOES IT LOOOOOOOOK SO HORRIBLY BRIGHT?!" like a whining baby even though I already know why.
:bulletblack: This is actually so bright that even on its darkest setting, I cannot make it as dark as the last one.
:bulletwhite: Which is weird, because when we got our last monitor, which we had for only a few months, I thought "AWESOME! I CAN MAKE MY ART BETTER AND NOT SO DARK!" Gahds that other monitor was daaaaark.
:bulletblack: Isn't is sad that I can't give this monitor a proper use for art because I don't have the will to draw? (Thank the heavens that I'm not planning on an art related career)

:bulletorange: I did it after having minor-not-really surgery on my foot
:bulletyellow: That was fun. I looked at the big toe on my right foot on Tuesday and I'm like "Hmm. There should be cuticle...it shouldn't look so discolored, and the skin at the bottom of my nail should really not be red, inflamed, and painful"
:bulletgreen: My mom took me to the doctor's the next day. THE ROOT OF MY NAIL WAS INFECTED. Which meant the nail had to be removed ENTIRELY so all the infection could get out and then it'll grow back. In like six months.
:bulletblue: Fortunately, it was my left foot, which I DO NOT DRIVE WITH. Took the road test and passed. Yay. Get off the roads....on second thought....stay off the sidewalks. It's safer to walk right in front of me while driving...apparently.
:bulletpurple: HOBBLING AROUND LIKE AN OLD LADY IS FUN! ......not really....
:bulletred: College work is fun. Especially since I will be dragged (kicking and screaming Okay, not really. It was a joke people. A joke. Lighten up. Dear god.) to Florida for about ten days.
:bulletorange: sitting down without being able to put my foot up is totally awesome. And by awesome, I mean filled with painful throbbing.

But I wouldn't waste a journal about that. I just felt like sharing but while keeping pointless images off of dA's servers (maybe I should keep pointless journals off of dA too?).

I have more time then I thought I would...but that's only when I'm ignoring my homework. ^_^; And with two research papers coming up, I shouldn't do that. Oh well.

I go to class/do homework in the day and in the night, I play the totally awesome Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon...WHICH I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DO MUCH OF LATELY! T_T I love Fire Emblem sooo much. It's painful. But I did get to beat Phantom Hourglass last week. And I gotta say. I love Nintendo. They play mind games so well, especially in the Zelda series. And I love 'em for it.

And during classes I write for my story (an original fiction)...and I'm just realizing how much the first several chapters contain absolute fail. I need to fix that, sometime. But only after I finish Winds of Change.

And I've discovered an awesome German band of absolute epic win. Seriously. They made the Lord's Prayer epic. It's called E Nomine. Look them up on Youtube or Playlist. Their (German) Gregorian Chant/Techno/Trance style is awesome.

Still got that request from a thousand years ago (I remember it!).

It was my birthday, a thousand years ago (Feb 5).
So. I got some totally awesome stuff, including going out to dinner (between a class that ended at 4:15 and one that started at 6:00) and having fun there.

Got an awesome book, a reservation for a totally awesome DS game that'll be comming out on the 17th (and it comes with official artwork! WHOO! (IT should be pretty obvious that it's Fire Emblem (Well, only if you got a reservation or saw the poster in Gamestop). I mean come on. This is me that they got the reservation for)) And some other awesome stuff.

As a gift to myself I got some colored pencils and Phantom Hourglass. I'm almost done with it and having fun playing between classwork, hanging out with my boyfriend, and desperately trying to color in some art traditionally. It's a totally awesome game and when I get the chance, I'm going to draw an idea that it (well a conversation about it and WindWaker...but I so wish it were implemented in the game) inspired.

And classes again. Started several weeks ago. I should totally be doing my homework for my English Comp and Research class, but I can do that on Wednesday. I'm home late on Mondays (with a morning and afternoon class) and got evening classes (Tues and Thurs) and an afternoon class on Thurs.

Uh. So. :icondreamsofice: is going to be randomly updated when I can get to it during the semester, though I'll probably do a few pages over break. My Legend of Zelda story that has been on hold will continue to be on hold until...probably later this month or sometime next month. (I'll probably get more time after I finish all the art I'm working on)

So. I've got a request from a thousand years ago. I'm going to finish that, but I'm going to be closing my requests until I can get more time that I can finish them in a reasonable time frame.

But that's okay, because the art was crap!

Uh, no, I'm not redrawing it. I don't have that kind of time. Instead, I'm starting it up again. Yay!

But, I won't be updating here. The manga has its own page on dA :icondreamsofice:.

I haven't uploaded everything there yet, because part of the update is a cover page for chapter 1...and...I will be working as diligently as I can with my own novel to write...and schoolwork when the semester starts again...and a fanfiction to finish. And several games to play through. And a few clubs to run, and one other club I'm staff on. GAWD. I need to stop spreading myself over a thousand projects. Oh well. I'l edit the journal when the page on dA is up and running and manage my life somehow. We'll see how it works.

Anywho, I thought that I'd let you all know to not expect much right now. I'm trying to find the time to color a picture for a contest, but that's about it. I'll submit random stuff in my scraps because that's about all I can do, test things out in Photoshop that didn't have the time to do before. If that isn't a contradiction of nature! Cause I don't have the time to play games, draw, color, write, or read for fun right now!

As a side note, I'm going to be switching to a collegiate diet to save time on eating and preparing meals. Ramen! 6 packs for a $1.50. Or nothing. Sweet!

Tell me I'm insane for also trying to get a job with all this.

Rawr. I really do hate using journals as a place to rant, so I'm going to steal ~quikCHANGEsilver's (AKA Middi's) way of journaling to keep this succinct.

-There are many partitions on my computer, and only the one with all the programs and the OS was crushed.
-There are like, no programs. And things must be reinstalled. This is pissing me off.
-My desktop is empty and it's pissing me off.
-I must re-bookmark everything. It's pissing me off.
-The computers old problem of the sound card not working with the OS has come back. Which means there's no music. It's pissing me off.
-I need to tell Firefox to never remember my passwords each time I log in somewhere (Having passwords remembered by Browser = A good way to get hacked). This is pissing me off.
-I can't use the computer much when I'm around because my dad's fixing it and my bro is always using his laptop. This is pissing me off because I can only write on computers. (Digi + No writing = DIGI SMASH!)
-I have no idea what crushed my comp like this. And that's pissing me off.
-I have no desire to do much of anything art related at home. There is nothing to do in my house most of the time, because of the computer and TV always being used (not a problem until the desktop got infected). This is pissing me off.

Good Notes (Which are keeping me from yelling profanities unintelligibly in profuse strings):
-I'm the Summer Intern at my church. The reason why I have no desire to do any art on my own time is because I'm doing paintings for the church.

I can't wait to jump feet first into college and the real world. I know it'll be hard work and there's gonna be stress, but I dunno, I just can't help wanting good things in life. And I'm gonna be happy to work to get 'em.

Chaos. Well....there's just a lot of fun-happy-crazy-stress stuff in my life right now. I don't want to go into details. But once more I feel like I'm being torn in at least thirty different directions. I haven't felt like this in more then a year, but it has returned, with a vengeance. At least this time I've got more things to occupy my time with now, like Okami for Wii and stories and such.

And yes, I got a job. I'm not going into details, because I haven't even finished my training yet. But its a sales job. Not door-to-door and not telemarketing. Which is good. That's gonna be fun. Considering I can't drive myself around yet. Whoo-hoo. >.> Maybe I can get some sort of car with this job...

I know, I have thousands of projects to occupy my time with. I'll get to them. Many include some pictures.

Yesterday I was going to my boyfriend's Christmas party, and well...we kinda got into an accident. My brother, sister, and Kurokari were there too.

Fortunately, the most damage was to the car. The motor was pushed over.

I'm not eintirely sure as to what happened since I had my head down looking for something when we crashed. I'm not even all that sure that we were in an accident yesterday. But I'm stiff and bruised. Kurokari is still hurting. And the car's not there. So it wasn't a dream.

Kurokari and I were sitting in the back, but we're more banged up then my brother or sister. I guess that's what airbags do. So my sister was bleeding in her mouth 'cause she bit her gum and my brother got a few scratches. My hip is bruised, my neck is sore & stiff, and everywhere where the seatbelt was is tender. Woot. Kurokari is in a similiar state as me, but minus the bruising and more stiffness.

We wound up spending most of the time we were supposed to be partying in the hospital. Not fun. Fortunately we found that there were no broken bones and that our heads are normal (mhm...musta missed something with me...XP )

I'm not saying this to be dramatic. I'm just saying this because I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish up my projects right now. I'll finish them sometime in January if I don't do them on time. So please understand.

Anyways, thought I might update you since I haven't been very active lately, more markedly in the past several months. I do have an explanation for that. It is called Fire Crack.

Or Fire Emblem if you must be serious.

I'm addicted to the game play of the series. I love tactical RPGs like Fire Crack. I first was introduced to it by a game named Shining Force which irritated me with it's odd way of choosing unit turns. Fire Crack is far more...orderly and it's much easier to see to it that your units live to the end of a battle. Though I certainly would like to get back at Shinging Force again. Only, I lost the CD it was on (I got the re-released version on the Computer). Oh well.

I'm far more willing to stop in the middle of a cutscene in Fire Crack then I am on the battle-field or on the verge of a fight. Simply because I love the mechanics of tactical games. (RTS are nice, but I'm too slow for 'em)

Oh, as to why I keep calling it Fire Crack. -cough- It's the name that those close to me have given it in light of my crazy addiction to the series. There's Fire Crack. Fire Crack: Path of Addiction. And Fire Crack: Goddess of Addiction (or Addiction's Dawn). I uh, got Fire Crack from Xalren for the GBA, he was letting me borrow it, and I played that for a while. Then Goddess of Addiction came out, and well...yeah.

Fire Crack. Can't be called my Anti- Drug because It's name has crack in it.

----Other more important issues----

I'm trying to get a job. I have a few pictures that I'm working on. And so on. But now that I've gotten Fire Crack out of my system (marginally, I'm going through path of addiction again to get good upload data for goddess of addiction) I can work on my art peaceably.

So why am I pestering you all again? Because I feel it necessary to explain something. Particularly about my deviation gallery. Stop thinking that this is whining about no attention to my art, like it usually is. 'Cause it isn't.

It's about one thing. There's been a bloody streak carved through my main gallery by a scythe wielded by yours truly (or not, depending on how you feel). So, many deviations have been irrevocably moved to my scraps. It is not about the content of the piece, but how happy I was with the overall piece when I finished with it. Like if it got my message across and how good it looked to me. So no complaining (I received some complaints last time I did this, so I relented. But those persons shall have no such luck this time)

Also, I rent a gap in the forest of scraps when I was finished with the main gallery. As such, I have deleted a couple of things in my scraps depending on how much they reeked of old discomforting art. No whining about that either.

And to those of you who just don't give a darn, I apologize for wasting your time.

Oh, and I'm busy with a manga-project that is really practice for an even bigger manga-project so I'm not gonna be doing much art otherwise.

I got this super special fantastic gift today from ~Kurokari-san. That's means a lot to me, someone outside my family remember my birthday and drew me something.

And it was the last character I expected. I can't shake this happy feeling since I saw it, not like I'd want to. I'll also shout out any other gifts that I get for my birthday here.

I'd like to make a holiday update for my site, unfortunately since the server went down a while ago (and has been back up for a while again) I've never been able to figure out where the site-updater-thinger went and Bluey-baka won't tell me. -_-

Also, unfortunately, I've been down for a while, like fairly unable to draw...those two pictures were drawn a while ago, but colored recently. Which is a pain because I was planning on making a "12 Days of Christmas" parody mocking anime and video game stereo-types. It was fairly decent and in tune with the song. I was going to start submitting it 11 days ago, so it would be done by tommorow, but I've been unable to get the first panel done decently. I hopefully will be able to draw a few panels and just make a lengthy poem/image thinger out of the idea by tommorow. Just maybe.

Anyways, that's the last you'll be hearing of me until next month journal wise. Yes, this is my holiday journal this year. No gift list or anything. Just rambling. Isn't that nice?

Got to wear my costume to school. Came home, finished setting up the decorations, hung out with my two friends that came to help out with giving out the candy. It was fun. We made people scream, stutter, and get so scared they were unable to speak. All in all, it was a very good night.

Now I'm half-asleep and my legs want to not be part of me any more. Ah well. 'Twas very fun in the long run.

And an apology in advance for this new message. But its not jus' an apology, 'cos that would be stupid, y'know?

I've started on a fanfiction idea that I really like. 'S part of my refreshed Legend of Zelda obsession as I play and beat Windwaker while I wait for Twighlight Princess to come out. I've actually had the idea for a while...but...it really hit me hard about a month ago. And I like the new plot my subconcious gave me, finally.

So, since I feel like the few reviewers I get on FanFic, along with some of my commentors on dA, they won't give me a hard grammatical analysis of my writing along with how the plot goes and in-character-ness and dialouge and how everything just flows. They're all like "Yay! I love it!". I don't mind with the art, my mom gives me the critques I need to improve. But I don't want to make her read my stuff, 'sides she's an artist.

So what I'm really saying, is that I'd like some people, aside from my brother, sister and Kurokari-san (hell, I dunno about the first two even), to read the chapters before I put them up on the 'net for everyone else to read and like beat me over the head. I triple check the chapters as I write, but I don't catch anything. Mhm, would anyone else like t'be a Beta reader, or should I just live with what I have?

:iconkaidona: Better pay attention to her art! She's a great artist, so go look through her gallery now. While she admits her proportioning isn't that great, its a hard task and if she messes up, its invisible to me at first glance. She deserves way more attention then she's getting. But I warn you all now, there isn't any fanart, she's all original pieces.

:iconchaosxangel: Most unrecognized artist I know. Go look through her lovely line arts and colors and comment and fave. This will make her the happiest. She's got a lovely working of the human body and how it can be posed. Go rifle through her works.

:iconcosmoscanine: Great artist with the furries, also seems to specialize in digital art. But he's not half-bad either. He also appreciates comments and favorites. Definitely under recognized.

:iconquikchangesilver: Go look at her gallery. She has promised platonic love forever if you give her pageviews. Her style is clean, simple, yet really detailed and intricate. This can only be better explained by looking at some of her pieces. She's mainly original, but occasionally fan art slips in.

:iconhyperknucklesgc: One helluva a writer. Puts some professionals out there to shame. His pieces are not for the faint of heart, dealing mainly with blood and dark, thinking nothing of asking you to give him a character for a story and then killing it. He also does a few pieces just for the ladies out there. Drawing him a lovely cover piece for a chapter will make his day.

:iconbutterflypenguin: A great furry artist! Her style is simple and soft yet very effective and she's not that bad with digital art either. Go take a look through the pictures. there's some fanart and quite a few original pieces as well.

:iconthe-ragdoll-sally: A great artist. Her style is definitely unique out there, but that just makes it all the better. The thick borders around the edges for the characters and the clean coloring and line art makes her gallery a must see, even just to take a quick glance. You might like what you see.

:iconnyiana-sama: Wonderful fanartist. She's not half bad with original pieces either. Her gallery is definitely a good idea to look through for the fans out there. Just, be prepared for lots of random stuff that doesn't make sense. It's her skill. She's improved a lot over the time I've know her, and now she has focused on original works.

:iconhiei-lover: & :iconkurokari: Don't let her name fool you. She's actually not a fangirl, just a fan of Hiei, calling her Kurokari would be your best bet for getting it right. Her art is definitely improving and as it stands really good. The pieces are mostly just nice to look at, for the art. Basically, if you want a story, I'll type a one-shot request for it. (I really need practice with writing some animes)
