I haven't updated in like a year, go me! I've been busy trying to find a real job after graduating from AIP, with no success, so I haven't had the time to create much of anything good. I'm working on a comic that I might submit to Antarctic Press or Radio Comix, but it's in the early early stages of creation; I'm also working on a Gold Digger pinup-type-thing of Gina.

But that's not what I'm posting about. I've undertaken a new project - 3D models of weapons, mecha, and starships from the classic anime Gall Force. I can't believe with all the amateur 3D artists out there that nobody's undertaken this yet, I love those ships.

More on this later.

Soo I got myself a new digital camera. I figured it was finally time to replace the old Kodak DC100... [link] so I found a pretty good deal on the Canon Powershot A540, a 6MP point-and-shoot (like I can afford an SLR camera, ha ha ha ha ha...). But unlike most point-and-shoot cameras, this one has a few lens extensions you can buy, thanks to a removable collar around the lens. I then went and found knockoff versions of these lenses (the Canon ones cost about $100-150 each) on ebay, $50 for the lot. So I'm happy

The night before last, I dreamed I was an airplane pilot. I worked for a company that had me traveling all over the world, and when I was in other countries I stayed in hotels. Whenever I had to stay for a long period of time I would get very lonely and miss Carla a lot, so I spent a lot of my time being depressed. One night, I was in my hotel room, reading a book, when a young woman opened the door and walked in, acting very provocative. I asked her what she was doing in my room, and she said, "Don't worry, I'm just an illusion." I assumed, in the dream, that Carla had made the illusion for me so I would not be lonely.

On the next several trips, more illusion women came to my room. Sometimes they were random girls I'd never seen before, sometimes they were Carla - finally the last one was a girl who looked like she was from the pacific islands somewhere and was probably about fourteen years old. When I got home from that trip I asked Carla about the illusions. Her response: "What illusions?"

At this point we were standing in the basement, and water was flooding across the floor around us. It was draining down into a hole in the floor. I was so shocked to hear that she had not been sending the illusions that I dropped the things I was holding in my hands - a styrofoam cup and a small metal object that looked somewhat like a medallion or something. As it fell, I realized that the metal object was what had been sending the illusions. I grabbed at it, trying to catch it, but Carla pulled me back and it was swept down the drain. She then told me it was my mother who had been sending the illusions.

The next day, I was to fly out again, probably for another week. I was in the plane with my co-pilot, about to start it up, when I realized that I had forgotten the keys to the airplane. I got out of the plane and ran out of the airport. I didn't want to fly again, so I ran into the woods and down a path. After a while the path disappeared, and I saw a river flowing nearby. I walked along the banks of the river until I reached a dock with a boat tied to it. On the dock was Carla, in the body of a fox. She told me we needed to take the boat to a certain street, so we got into the boat and started rowing downstream.

After a short amount of time, we reached an open lake. In the lake were signs poking up out of the water - street signs. We tried to find the sign for the street, but in the entire lake we could not find it. We started to row back, but about ten feet from shore the boat suddenly sank out from under us. We swam over to shore. Carla pointed out that the current was too strong for her to swim back upstream, so she was going to walk around and meet me at home. Since I needed to go back to the path, she released six snails into the water. These snails were carnivorous and could reverse the flow of the water (??). They had two mouths - one on the top of their body, ringed with six sets of teeth like that of a lamprey eel, the other in the front with pincers which would reach out in order to grasp live prey. Carla then started throwing shrimp into the water. When the snails saw the shrimp, they would swim toward them and reverse the flow of the river. I kept throwing shrimp ahead of the snails for a while until I was sure they would not change direction, then quickly swam downstream.

By the time I got back to the dock, the stream had dried up. I began to walk roughly in the direction of the path, and soon found it again. After walking down the path for about fifteen minutes, I came upon an old, broken aluminum ladder leaning against a steep dirt incline. I cleaned the vines and dirt off of the ladder and began to climb up the incline.

When I got to the top, I found a tarp on the ground. I pulled it back. Various items were under the tarp - a video camera, some CDs, some childrens' toys - in very good shape considering they had been buried for who knows how long. I heard some crashing behind me and turned around to see my little brother coming out of the trees. I greeted him and we began to look around the area to see if we could figure out why these things had been buried.

I heard the sound of a car engine and pushed aside a hanging screen of vines. Behind the screen was another incline going down, and at the bottom was the mobile home I lived in. My father's car was there, because he had come to pick me up to take me back to the airport. As I looked down, he was driving away. I didn't really mind though, because I didn't want to be a pilot any more. At about this point, I realized the dream was getting pointless and woke up.
Then it turned out to only be a dream
I made a point to burn all of the photographs
She went away and then I took a different path
I remember the face but I can't recall the name
Now I wonder how what's-her-name has been.

Green Day - some call them sellouts, some call them musical geniuses... Either way, they have made a huge impact on music.

Maybe you're what's her name. Maybe you're what's his face. Maybe you're the Jesus of Suburbia. Maybe you're none of these. But chances are, you've loved someone in your life, someone who meant a lot to you, and maybe you don't love them anymore, or they don't love you.

But if that's true, you owe it to yourself - don't forget, don't shut the memories out. Because love is based around happiness, not angst or depression. Always remember the good times and bad - what's the point of loving if you don't get anything from it? Learn your lesson and move on if it doesn't work.

Don't let life pass you by.
The current release date is the end of March, at Tekkoshocon in Pittsburgh. After that time, I'm going to try to put it on my web site so peoples can order it and such.

Alrightay, here's the latest picture, Catty Neko stretching. Maybe some of you are going "OMGWTFLOL (or some variant thereof) she's fat y u draw her liek that?"

Honestly I don't think she's that fat, she looks pretty thin to me. But a belly hanging over a girl's pants does funny things to some people.

Well anyway, there's a couple reasons why I drew her like that. Firstly, it was a request from some people in a chat room, and I've been wanting to for some time now anyway, as that was how I had originally envisioned her when I created her character four or five years ago.

Secondly (and this is the one that will tie peoples' panties in knots), I wanted her to look attractive. For those of you who still don't quite get it, big girls are attractive. Well, to me at least. I've just never drawn girls bigger because I had no self-confidence in my abilities. If I screwed up on a skinny girl, eh, she's a skinny girl, it's not such a big deal. But if I screwed up on a fat girl, that's like putting a smiley face on your wedding ring. Yeah, that bad.

Soo, anyway... now that I'm out of the closet (so to speak... and don't worry, there's still more skeletons in here that I haven't mentioned yet, more amusement for days yet to come), back to the subject at hand, Ms. Neko.

The picture is titled 'Series One', because I plan on doing several different series, of different stages in Catty's life, focusing on her teenage and 20-something years, each series as a different time period. Yeah.
