Been studying for a while, so I think I'll take a break, regain my sanity and tell a joke!

This is a good one, most really dirty jokes are...

-There's a hippie on a bus. He sees a very hot nun on the bus and asks her to sleep with him. The nun is disgusted and gets off at the next stop.
The bus driver tells the hippie "Hey, I have an idea for how you can hook up with that nun. Every night at midnight she goes to the cemetery and prays. If you dress up as Jesus you can get her to sleep with you"

The hippie thinks this is a great idea, and thanks the bus driver. That night he goes up to the cemetery and sees the nun praying. He jumps out of a bush wearing a robe and a glow-in-the-dark mask and says "I am Jesus, and I command you to have sex with me".
The nun says "Ok, but in order to retain my chastity, we can only do anal sex."

After they are done, the hippie throws off his costume and yells "Surprise I'm the hippie!"
The nun throws off her costume and yells "Surprise I'm the bus driver!"

I've had one hell of a good time so far, and I'm glad to be just getting started.
I got a job (actually 2 jobs) with Montana PBS (KUSM) in both Broadcast Operations and Promotions Editing.
Just thought I'd post up something random, since that little journal about my hospital experience seems to cast a dark and depressing cloud over my page. Can't have that happening now can we?

Think I'll just waste your time, and the rest of this text box with some jokes...

Q: Why did the toilet paper roll down the hill????
A: To get to the bottom!

Q: What is the strongest letter in the alphabet?
A: P because not even Superman can hold it!

-If flying is so safe, then why is it called the terminal?
-Why does the sun turn your skin dark, but your hair light?
-Why are they called apartments when they're stuck together?
-Why is the man who handles your investments called a broker?
-Politics poly meaning many, tics meaning blood sucking parasites.

So two rednecks are going hunting in the woods. Theo turns to Dudley and says
"Now listen 'ere Dudley, if one of us dun finds a deer, we's going to shoot a flare up high so we's know to help out."
Dudley nods, then both hunters find their own huntin' grounds.

Dudley gets a huntin' when he realizes that he's not seen a gent's room in several hours. So he finds a tree, climbs up to a branch shaped like a Y, and gets to doin' his business. He throws out a log of his own with so much effort that he unwittingly slips into a nap.

Theo in the mean time finds himself a deer, and shoots his flare way up high. He waits, but when Dudley doesn't come, he starts gutting the deer all on his lonesome. After a while, he starts to looks for Dudley, because this is some tiring work.
He comes across Dudley takin a nap in a tree, his britches hung 'round his knees and decides to play a prank, as most backwoods hunters like to do. He grabs all them deer guts and put's em neat in a pile under Dudley's perch.

Well, Theo gets the deer meat back to their campsite and waits for Dudley.
When he finally comes back, some 'ours later, Theo starts giving him a hard time.
"So, why's you so late? I'd done prepared this back an everythin'!"
"Well" says Dudley, "I passed my guts out, so it took me a while to find a sturdy stick and put everything back where it goes!"

---------
Ok yeah randomness... Enjoy!

First off, I had in interesting weekend so far. I caught a fairly nasty virus that landed me with a migraine, severe spine pain and airway constriction. When I finally got someone to drive me to the hospital, I registered a 9/10 on the pain scale, which warranted some pretty awesome IV painkillers. It's been two days, and I'm still lo00opy from whatever they gave me, plus I still feel like shit.

But, as a reborn optimist I spent this time to get onto Newegg and score myself a sweet new computer. It's got 2 gb ram, Amd 2.Ghz dual core, foxconn mobo, and a Geforce 8500 GPU. . With a case, HDD and Power supply it came out to $305.99.
Pretty kick ass if I may say so myself.
This is also the end to multi-day Apophysis renders which really put a damper on my relationship with that program.
OMG *cough cough* I'm so freakin' happy!

And once again these emoticons are insufficient, there should be one for "I just coughed out a piece of my lung, but I'm ecstatic!"

I am writing this journal as a tool for myself, and others to use as a "muse board". This is one small step towards breaking the wall of writers block or in many cases artists block. Below I have compiled a list of things that inspire me. I graciously ask that if you leave a few of your muses in an effort to get the cogs turning...

Thought Provoking Subjects:

1.) Greek Mythology
2.) Psychedelic Music, including but not limited to: Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Aphex Twin and Lords of Acid.
3.) Other artists
4.) Romantic/Gothic literature
5.) Philosophy
6.) Dreams
7.) The Underworld (Plutonian domain)
8.) Discussing points of view, and perspectives
9.) Cheesy horror movies
10.) Meditation

Brain games:

1.)"What if? Then..."
You start out with a statement, then twist it with a what if question, then answer it with another statement. Repeat until you find yourself journeying far beyond your original train of thought. This is a good game to play for writers block.

2.) "Freeze Frame"
When watching television, youtube or reading a story, try to freeze a particular motion of a character and take it out of context to make it more interesting. An example of this is you see a person adjusting their television aerials, freeze their motion and they're now wrestling with two giant snakes, or turning the wheel of a car with no seat... This was originally an improvisation game for actors but it works just was well for artist block concerning the actions of the human form...

3.) "Perspective"
Try to find alternative uses for things around you, or to make something into something that you think it is not. Draw a hexagon, now draw a line from each vertex to the middle. I could be slices of pie, a wagon wheel or a three dimensional cube (draw the hexagon and see if you can see the cube.) This is good for macabre artists or psychedelic artists...

4.) "Combination"
Close your eyes, now imagine combining the last two things you saw into something completely new. This is a good one for photoshop artists...

5.) Just put your pen, mouse, camera or brain to work. You never know what might happen once you get the wheels a' turnin'.

6.) Just talk it out. Sometimes two heads are better then one. Multiple thought processes can take an idea in completely new directions. Almost all of the Pixar moves were created in a single brainstorming session over lunch... Good for just about any style of expression...

Today is the first time I have watched the news in about ten months. I must say that I can not stand to watch what is shooting out of my television screen. I see death, murder, suicide...
One story that pissed me off beyond anything is how they had a story about this guy who just got out of jail, who may or may not be a repeat offender. They showed his house, repeated his address, showed his picture and hammered his name like a nail into wood. True, he was charged ten years ago for being a child molester, but it should be left up to the police to notify the surrounding populace, not the news to cover an extremely biased, paranoid eight minute section about this guy's address, house etc, so that any paranoid news-watching maniac can go and shoot everyone in that house, assuming that the person is not coming out of jail to start a new life.
The second thing that pisses me off is how they spent three minutes covering the fact that Paris Hilton got out of jail. Leave these people alone, no one really gives a shit if some rich girl that they've never met gets out of jail or not. How does Paris Hilton getting out of jail affect anyone???
Even the sports section had a touch of pessimism in it...
Thus begins another ten month period of loathing and avoiding the news... I don't honestly see how you people can watch this crap...

Starcraft 2 is due to come out sometime in October. I am really excited because I have been playing Starcraft religiously for the last nine or ten years. To hear that there is finally a sequel to the best game ever create is very exciting to me. Some of you may think "oh it's just a game, get a grip Greg..." and you're right, but I find life much more interesting when I get excited easily. I have said it before, a million time at least: Life is literally what you make it, and *your* entire life is depended on your perception of what you make.
Ok so, I'm going to get some sleep, I have a lot of: logging & capturing, editing, and "scary people wanting a completed project"; waiting for me tomorrow... I guess stress is a high factor when it comes to video production; no wonder the news is so depressing, all those poor f!@#s wanting to share their misery with the rest of the world...

P.S. on a side note... Aw screw it... Maybe some other time...
