but what i uslay do ..is quicly swith between two colours by pressing "X" so in beguing of drawing i usualy experemnt and do abstratct blobs its great to shwich between to colours (background and actual colour you draw with) , to fix thing very quicly ..and experemnt without slow switching btweenlayers.

eah i reapet i use buttom "X" all the time ...and it speeds up drawing process allot.

I usaly hit "F" once to go in full screen mode for my picture. it works great with "spacebar"
