I'm trying for days now to change the icons of the folders in the favourites gallery.
It worked fine before but now I always receive the same comment from dA, saying...

I've taken a few works of "Fractal Manipulations" and the original images from which they are made.
I know this is a kind of self promotion but this is really not my intention...you know me!

It's only to show you how much a "pure fractal" can be seen in a "Manipulation".
I would have chosen other works than my own, but for that I should find links to the original fractals.

I do this because I have the feeling that things are going very wrong here in our fractal community.
We are a quite small family and not very well known to the world.

"What the hell is a fractal???"

But instead of pulling together we put this nice family into pieces...

...by starting to write unjustified comments or notes and spitting bad words and accusations to each other!

What a shame!!!

Since now I have always been proud of calling myself a member of this family.

Now, because of all the trouble about misplaced deviations
I'm uploading my "Fractal Manipulations" to the mixed media category....bye bye fractal art category

I have been with you for a long time...but now you don't want me any more just because I changed my style!

Does the category "fractal art" say that it has to be a pure fractal?

It only says ..."Digital art created with fractal generating software."

It says nothing about post works on this "original fractal"

I have nothing against pure fractals, I made them for two years and maybe will make them again one day.
But I can't understand the narrow minded behaviour of some people regarding changes.
Changes are always good, they bring a fresh wind to old and settled rules.

We should try to make our "FRACTAL COMMUNITY" bigger by giving a chance to new ways of creating art with FRACTALS!

I was thinking to write this in a news article but I don't want to show only my pictures there.
So if you think it's worth it, I would appreciate it very much if you send me an example of one of your own manipulations with the link to the original fractal you used!

I'm just saying THANK YOU for your attention

Not for what he wrote of course, but for the reason.

I do not have the slightest understanding for people who have nothing else to do than to search for displaced deviations.
What's that? Do you feel personally offended by displaced works?

The problem is...what belongs to the category "Fractal Art"?

Very intersting for me because my club $:iconfracman:$ is a club for fractal manipulations.
I always submit the sheets for the club in this category!
Wherelse to put them, if they are made from fractals?

Why are people so narrow minded...A fractal has to be a pure fractal to be called "Fractal"?

Who tells you that?

This is ART and being an artist allows you to create whatever you like!

There were requests to dA to create a new category, even from the admins...but nothing happened yet.

Is this really a reason to get angry with each other?
It makes me very sad.
Bad words between friends who are, I don't know, somehow irritated with the whole situation.

I would say...keep calm everybody...until not we, but dA finds a solution with different categories.

And if THEY don't, shouldn't WE be able to solve it friendly between us?

Today is my 2. dA Birthday!

Some Stats: 50,561 pageviews, 2,488 deviations viewed 488,000 times, 453 people watch her.

Two years already!

Time is running fast!

I remember very well how I started with dA.
Because my English was really rusty at that time...I didn't even dare to answer comments!

My very first submitted deviation was placed into scraps from dA because of bad quality!

And then the fractals! I was so proud when I had my first feature.

In those two years I found many wonderful and beloved friends here.

Thank you very much for your kindness, your support and most of all for your friendship.

I was trying all the time to keep myself out of the discussion.
But now I would like to raise my voice.

All of this is getting out of hand!

I'm shocked that many of my friends have moved their galleries into storage
and especially for the fact that more and more good friends are leaving dA.

I always believed that dA is a place where everybody can show his or her works.
And don't forget that not only dA members can visit your site...even everybody else with an internet connection!

DA is a very professional site and the admins are again and again trying to make changes for good.
If there is from time to time a change someone doesn't like...ok, you can not always make it right for everbody.

The reaction shown is very heavy and for my opinion a bit exaggerated!
Do you really believe that an announcement like ..."I'm leaving dA" is going to achieve something?
With so many members dA has, the answer is simply going to be..SO WHAT?

There are many people who are really happy with the new changes! What about them?

dA is not my personal shop.
I rent a small place to show my works.
The decision of how I'm allowed to do that belongs to the "landlord"

If I'm not happy with it, I have to find a better place.

But then my next question is...where to find it...

I've nothing more to say

Only one thing...........I stay here!........

Does anybody know what kind of bug this is?

I have them in the kitchen, they appear every afternoon and I can't get rid of them.
They are very very small ( I've put a needle next to a dead one )
Some of them can fly short distances!

I found the source!!!

Kitchen is empty from food stuff...

What's going on

Lately I noticed that there is a lot of trouble going on in the fractal community!
I wonder what's happening here..
It's like there's electricity all around.
Lots of good friends left, some are ready to do so and some others are really

How can it be?
One year ago this was a community, or let me better call it a family, it was a union.
Suddenly it seems everything goes wrong - discussions over discussions about what is fractal art, who is allowed to call him - or herself a fractalist, where to submit your deviations......
Shouldn't we all calm down a little bit and think about what is really important.
I am thankful that dA gives me the possibility to submit my works...good or not good..who dares to judge it.
I found new friends ( and I hope I'm not going to loose all of them because of these stupid happenings )

I'm really not the one to write long letters ( especially not in English ) but let me say one more thing:

Let us all relax a little bit, to see things with a clear mind again.
