He leaned forward to see two long, sharp teeth in the vampire’s mouth that almost touched his bottom lip. “He’s just recently been turned,” Nyx said. “Looks to me like his fangs have finally settled in. At first, they start off small, but they grow a little every day. Most vampires take a while to deal with talking around them at first, thus his lisp."


*“The Twisted Tower,” Corbin said, gazing upwards at it. “It’s also called the Suddenly Appearing Tower because nobody seems to be able to notice it until they’re almost right in front of it. Even those who know exactly where it is and are watching for it can’t see anything until they’re close enough.”
“Sometimes, those who aren’t paying attention at all don’t notice it until they walk right into it,” Nyx added with a snicker. “In that case, it’s often called That Damned Tower! Exclamation points to be added or subtracted as you please.”


*After a few minutes, he noticed that the place had become hushed. He blinked and turned, gasping when he noticing a tall figure in a black robe sitting in the skeletal chair. The first thing that Fletcher noticed was the figure’s head. It wasn’t a human head, nor was it a human skull like he’d half expected it to be. Instead, the god’s head was a ram’s skull, with black horns curling elegantly on either side of its head and ending in sharp points that came just above his shoulders. There were faint pinpricks of red light in the empty eye sockets. He saw the god’s hands next, resting lightly on the screaming dragon skulls on the ends of the chair’s arms. His hands weren’t skeletal nor hooves; they were human hands, but they looked grey and withered as if the skin was dead and stretched over the bones. His fingers were also unnaturally long.

For anybody who's interested, I'm gonna give you some excerpts and stuff from my novel! It's about this guy who stumbles into another world full of zombies, dragons, magic, crazy gods, etc, so it's weird.

*He’d only worked at the Smiling Gull for about a week, cooking the various seafood items on the menu. His cooking had been the problem and the reason for his involuntary separation. It’s not that he was a bad cook, far from it. He just had a tendency to spice up his dishes. A lot. Even the dishes that didn’t need anything even vaguely resembling a pepper. Just two days ago, Fletcher had been baking some garlic bread and thought that it’d be so much nicer if there was a little Cajun seasoning mixed in with the garlic. “A little” for Fletcher was a lot too much for the customer who’d ordered the bread and complained that biting into the bread had caused her tongue to catch fire. Also she was allergic to the Cajun seasoning.


*“Aagh! Zombie!” Fletcher screamed, jumping backwards and, having tripped, falling on his backside. “Zombie! Oh my god! Oh my god, a real zombie! Don’t eat me!”
“Eat you? Why would I do that?” the dead man exclaimed in an offended voice. “I’ve only just met you and we don’t know each other’s names! It’d be terribly rude of me to eat you without having known you first. You must think me some sort of monster.”


*One of the stores, called Zombies ‘R We, had several mannequins standing beside the display windows. They all were clothed in what looked like dresses and suits made from rotted bacon, fresh bacon, or what suspiciously looked like human skin. One of the mannequins was wearing a pair of those goofy glasses with the fake eyes on little springs, only with the way this world worked, Fletcher suspected that the eyes were real. It was rather morbid, yet funny in a sense.
“I love this store!” Corbin exclaimed. “Let’s go inside!”
“I’d rather not,” Nyx said, twitching her nose in distaste. “It’s disgusting.”
“I’ll go in with you,” Fletcher said, though he didn’t quite know why. Morbid curiosity, he supposed. Corbin grinned and led the way into the shop. There were racks of clothing, some of it made from the bacon or skin as seen in the display windows, some of it real clothes. Corbin made his way to the back of the store, Fletcher following while holding his nose against the dreadful smell that was assaulting his nostrils. He hadn’t expected any less, however.
“This is a good part,” the zombie commented, gesturing at the lines of shelves. Fletcher gaped at them. They appeared to contain various body parts. There was a case of short arms, a case of long arms, a case of hairy legs, a case of smooth legs, further cases with different lengths of leg… Fletcher closed his mouth firmly, trying not to retch as he looked around. There, cases of eyes assorted by color. A sign above them proclaimed “Eyes, sometimes used”. There were fingers, toes, even wigs of hair.


*“So, vampires really burst into flames in the sunlight?” Fletcher asked, eyeing the unconscious vampire.
“Of course,” Nyx replied. “What did you expect them to do? Sparkle?”

Godsmack. Dear lord, GODSMACK. They were terrific. More than terrific. They played lots of songs and I have to say they're the best band I've heard live. (They used to be my favorite band for a while, by the way.) They also played Whiskey Hangover, a new song from their upcoming album which should be out at the beginning of 2010.
The Crue was good, of course. But they couldn't top Godsmack, no sah.

Got me a Godsmack shirt. I also got a Motley Crue shirt, but they only had it in a medium and uh... it's huge on me. It's okay, I'll find something to do with it soon. Hopefully, anyway. It was the best shirt out of all of the ones in the stands, so I just had to have it. Durp.

Also I started school today. What with getting home at 11:30 at night yesterday, needing to be up at 5 AM, and having songs stuck in my head... Well, I didn't get any sleep at all. But it's okay 'cause I felt fine this morning.

Man though. I just wish Sixx:AM had been with the Crue Fest this year. Oh well, maybe they'll come around again sometime soon or something.

Right, so. I work at McDonald's, which is a fast food joint of course. Yes, occasionally someone is sent out to clean up lobby. Wipe down the tables, sweep the floors, make sure there's plenty of lids and straws and whatnot by the drinks machine.

However, that doesn't mean you people should be lazy asses and leave your trash everywhere. We're not your fucking maids, we'd appreciate it if you didn't spill soda on the tables and not do anything about it. We'd appreciate it if you didn't leave sandwich boxes, wrappers, and piles of napkins on the tables or the fucking windowsills. You pass by at least two trashcans on your way to the door; hell, depending on which door you're leaving by, you pass by four. The least you could fucking do is throw your own damn trash away instead of leaving it scattered across the store like the lazy pigs you are.

This isn't an actual restaurant, people! There, you're expected to leave your trash and dirty silverware on the tables, because they have people whose jobs are to clean it up. Fine for them, it doesn't matter. It's not the same for fast food joints. Sure, we're expected to keep the store clean, but if you lot would help, it would be a lot easier and a lot less frustrating.

Oh, and to those of you who like to do stupid shit like throwing pickles on the windows and stuff? Fuck off. While we're at it, if you get food from some other place, eat it there. McDonald's isn't some rest stop for you to carry in take-out Chinese and fling your rice all over the tables and floors without even getting anything from here. And no, you can't just waltz in with an empty 2-liter bottle of soda to fill it with our fountain drinks. And just because we're doing our job and telling you that you can't do that, it doesn't give you the right to chuck your now half-filled bottle in our driveway so that the soda spills everywhere outside. Grow up and stay out of our fucking store.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If you're in the drive-thru and we ask you nicely to pull forward to wait for your food, it's not because we're being dicks. It's because your food is still cooking and will take a minute or two--GASP! THAT MUST BE A LIFETIME!--while we have the food for the cars behind you ready to go. We're supposed to keep the drive-thru moving, supposed to keep our times down so we don't get in trouble with management and all that. When your food is ready, we'll send somebody out to your car to bring it to you; WITH an added apology for the wait. So why do you have to hold up the drive-thru and bitch about wanting a fucking refund for your entire fucking order because we ask you to pull forward? This is fast food, not instant food. Ten-to-one your order isn't going to be ready EXACTLY once you pull up to the window, unless all you're getting is a drink or maybe one sandwhich or something. So would you kindly just pull forward so we can do our damn job?

UGH. MORALE OF THE STORY, KIDS: DON'T WORK AT FAST FOOD. PEOPLE ARE STUPID DOUCHEBAGS WHO WILL MAKE YOUR LIVES MISERABLE THERE IF YOU DO. That is all.

I'm feeling a little better today (finally, at what, almost ten pm?) Moving a bunch still makes me feel woozy, so I'm probably just gonna be taking it easy for a while yet. Might pop on AIM tomorrow, but I definitely don't feel like it today. Um.

So yeah. Constant pain, feeling nauseous almost all the time, feeling full all the time... Tack on another reason why I don't like surgery.
