But anyway, since I was hired as a tech intern at St. John's at the end of November, I've been having a blast! I get to work at my old church/school, I get to interact with all sorts of cute lil' kids (Pre-K through 8th grade), I get to work with computers.... All these things and more, and I get paid for it! I mean, this job is awesome! I'm planning to stay here 'till I graduate from college. ^_^

So today I'm at St. John's, making sure all of the computers work before all the kiddies come back to school tomorrow. Everything's working fine, but I'm running Windows Update on all the computers now.... gaaaahhhh.... (Windows Update always takes forever) @_@ I'm in the 1st grade room updating three comps at one time, and I've still got about an hour left 'till they finish. Ah well, at least this gives me time to work on some art.

Lessee.... Other news... I start school again on the 8th. I'm taking Chem, Chem Lab, U.S. History to 1877, and Critical Thinking (yes, that's that class I failed my first semester >.< ) It's gonna be a booooooring semester, unless Chem turns out to be fun or something. I know I've got good teachers, though, because I asked my friends for teacher suggestions.

So I do want to apologize to all my friends and the all awesome artists here that I stalk, because I haven't really commented on anybody's work for.... um... a very long time. I miss the community feeling here and I really want to get back into that.

Okis. In other news, I'm still attending school (got Bs at midterms) and I'm still working at McDonald's. But! I have an interview for a tech intern position tomorrow afternoon at 1pm at my old church! Hooray! ^_^ Everyone wish me luck! If I'm hired, they pay for my schooling. ^_^ And I don't have to work at McDonald's anymore! (big cheer for that) Well, maybe I'll work on the weekends, but I don't want to get ahead of myself here. I'm determined not to get my hopes up too high and assume things. Usually when I start assuming and expecting things, things don't usually turn in my favor. I've just gotta do the best I can, and see what happens.

Doot de doo.... Oh! And my friends and I have been going out for sushi every week. We're going tomorrow evening. ^_^ We usually get rainbow rolls and and rice (though I get the miso soup instead of the rice). Last time I had baby octopus instead of the soup and it was so good! They look just like they do in the animes, and they tasted like barbequed chicken. haha... Perhaps I'll get it again.

gaaaaa..... I worked from 5 to 11 tonight and I got my break at 9:30. You wouldn't believe how much standing in place really hurts your knees and back. I think it may be my shoes, so mebbee I'll buy some more comfortable ones next weeek. I've gotta go in tomorrow from 11 to 7. I wonder which position I'll get that time. *heh*

On another note, I have recently finished viewing two very popular animes, Fullmetal Alchemist and Trigun. I wanted to see FMA because so many people are in love with the show and Ed and General-man and Hughes and whatever. So I went to YouTube and saw the whole series over the course of a few weeks. Oh God. I wish I had never wasted my time. I know I might make some people mad here, but FMA just wasn't that good. Yeah, it had it's touching moments, but it seriously didn't get good 'till the end of the series. Then.. then... *screams* The ending sucked SO much! Aah! I couldn't get to sleep because I was so angry! They went through all that crap and they didn't even get to be together in the end!! *screams some more* I started watching the movie, hoping that it would be better, but I only watched a little over 10 minutes then stopped. I'm usually an optimist, but I didn't want to fool myself this time. The only really good thing about FMA are the opening and ending themes. Melissia by Porno Grafitti is my absolute favorite song! *^_^* Seriously, whenever I hear that song, my heart feels like it's trying to leap out of my chest!

But! But! *squeee!* Trigun is soooo awesome! *^_^* The only thing that sucked about this series is that there are only 23 episodes! lol The ending was okay, but it left too many loose ends for me. But, that's what fanfics are for, right? Vash is such an awesome character, as are Wolfwood, Meryl, and Millie. The only thing that I can't understand is why people fawn over Knives and Legato. People! Those two men are heartless killers! Why would you like them?! If background information was provided and there was a reason to their senseless killing, I might be a bit more sympathetic. But as for now, it's a no.

So I drag out my shoe collection and hang most of them on the shoe rack my mom got me last week. I found TONS of old backpacks and purses, so now I won't have to buy a new backpack for school now. I found the two banners my friend and I made for marching band our junior and senior years of high school. I found books and crap and trinkets and old jeans. I found the pair of hippie jeans I would wear to my old middle school's 70's dances. haha.... I'm gonna wash 'em cuz they still sorta fit. They just come up... ah... several inches above my belly button. I'll see if I can get a pic up later.

I also found.... Half of a used pinata? o_O?! I don't remember where I got it from, or why I wanted to keep it. I know I'm a pack rat and I like to hang on to stuff, but what was I going to do with a pinata? haha...

Well, I'ma gonna get back to cleaning. I have an itty bitty closet (by just looking at it, it looks roughly 5ft by 3ft.) but I have tons of crap in there. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it all...

All of the homework assignments and quizzes for my math class have to be done online at this website. I've set up an accout and all, but I can't do my homework or any quizzes there from my laptop because they require students to access their site from a Microsoft-based machine, and not an Macintosh-based machine. After sever hours of trying to get around this rule, I finally sent them a very angry e-mail (it was around 2:00 in the morning by then) about how biased they are and how sick it made me and how I wouldn't let them get away with it and yada yada yada. I wasn't expecting much of a response, but they actually sent me an e-mail the next day explaining why they only allow Microsoft computers to access their site and why this and why that and all this other crap. Well actually, it was a very well-structured answer within several paragraphs, but it still didn't make me happy. They said they had no plans to integrate their systems to be in sync with Macintosh computers, and suggested that I borrow a classmate's computer. So that's what I did.

I borrowed my friend's laptop after our math class while he was in his Govt class. It took me an hour and a half to finish my homework. >.< So yeah. I completed one assignment. But since then, I've missed a quiz, and now I have a new homework and a new quiz to complete before this Thursday night at midnight (or 11:59 pm, to be percise). So I borrowed my friend Bri's laptop during lunch today, and only completed half of my homework. T_T I now have a plan on how I'm going to do the rest of my assignments before the due date, but I don't feel like going into another explanation.

SO! Last week, I got some money back from my financial aid lender and now I'm thinking... If I just went ahead and bought a cheap-o Microsoft-kind of computer, I wouldn't have to trouble my friends and figure out ways and times to use their laptops. Also, I could make and open up Word and PowerPoint documents on that laptop, since I don't have the Microsoft Word Suite (of doom!) on my Apple computer. So all I want to do on the Microsoft laptop I'm searching for is to connect to the internet and access Word and Powerpoint. That's all. I don't want extra video-crap or music-stuff or anything. Just internet, Word, and PP. The trouble is that wherever I go, I know that some salesperson is going to try and sell me some fancy-pants laptop that I don't want or need.

Where do you reccomend I go to get a basic laptop with those three basic functions? I checked Best Buy's and Circuit City's websites, but the cheapest laptops they displayed were over $500. I'm planning on going to those actual stores tomorrow to see if they have anything way cheaper than that. I'm also planning on hitting a pawn shop or two, and this little store near my house that had a sign that read "Used laptops as low as $99". So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! You will recieve a glomp. And possibly a cookie.

Okay. First off, I wake up this morning, turn off my alarm, grumble about not wanting to get up for school (that's usual), eat a caramel yogurt (I could only eat half; it started tasing weird) while watching Curious George on PBS (so cute!). I got ready for school and waited for my little sister to get ready, too (I drive her to high school then I head out to college). I laid out my English book so I could read the short story right before class, but I forgot it. -_- While driving in my car, I always hook up my iPod to the car's sterio. I skip over the Japanese songs because my sister doesn't like to listen to them. However, my favorite German song started playing. I asked my sister if she minded listening to it, and she grumpily said, "YES!" Geez... That really made me mad. It didn't irritate me, it really made me mad. >.< I skipped over to the next song (English, of course), but I was still stewing. Something so small really shouldn't have bothered me, but I really wish she would listen to some international music. America is not the only country that makes music, you know. gahhhh... I wish she wouldn't listen to rap and hip-hop, too, but I can't have everything... -_-'

So anyway, I got to school and surfed the internet before my first class. English itself was pretty boring, though, because I couldn't really participate in the discussion since I didn't read. *sigh* So I just doodled and took some notes (one sentence). Then I made my way to Algebra. That was mega boring. I don't belong in that class. I'm only taking it so I can raise my GPA. So the teacher is teaching the class this crap I learned four years ago. Then people aren't understanding it so he has to go over it again.... X_X How do people not understand Algebra? It's... so... simple! *screams*

After that, I met my friend Bri in the cafe like I usually do and we ate and chatted. It was fun.

We left the cafe at 1:00. She went to her next class, and I went to the Buisness Building, where they were having a blood drive. I've donated twice at school already, so I was glad to be able to donate again.

OR SO I THOUGHT!

I signed my name on the waiting list, read the information packet, filled out the form, then waited. For over 45 minutes. Finally, the nurse called me back, asked me questions, tested my blood, took my temperature, yada, yada, yada. Then I waited again for a little while. I finally got into a chair, and a nice lil' ol' nurse was attending to me. Well, actually, I waited 'till she finished attending to someone else, then she got to me. She found the vein in my left arm and rubbed the area down with something (I forgot what). Then she put that compressor-thingie with the pump around my arm (y'know, the thing that squeezes your arm real tight while measuring your blood pressure?) When she taped the needle+tube to my arm, I looked away. I felt the usual giant pinprick. After a few seconds, I looked back at my arm, expecting everything to go well. BUT! There were huge drops of blood all over my arm and the armrest. I was like: o.o Then she said:

"Oh. Looks like your vein exploded. Hm... got some on me, too."

Then I was like. O_O!! So she took the needle out and told me to hold gauze over the part where the needle went in and hold my arm straight up. I did so. Then the people walking past me kept looking at me funny. So I tried my best to look at the other side of my arm and there was blood all over it! >.< The nurse came back and wiped all the blood off my arm (she didn't get it all) and asked me what color bandage I wanted. I told her green and she wrapped up my battle wound. She told another nurse to check for a vein in my other arm while she finished up some paperword. He checked, but didn't find a good one. He told me that I was the fourth or fifth person the older nurse attended to that this had happed to. I wanted to get the heck outta there, but I stayed for cookies and juice.

Doot de doo... I've been watching Sailor Moon episodes on YouTube for the past few weeks. Right now I'm on episode 67, in the Sailor Moon R season (season 2). Mamoru's being a jerk, Chibi-Usa is as evil as ever (I can't stand her ), and Usagi's maturing and being thoughtful and such. *sigh* I can't wait 'till Mamo and Usagi get back together. I have no clue how long that'll take, though. And I just want Chibi-Usa to leave! gaaaaahhhh.... But I don't think she truly leaves until Sailor Stars. And that's about two and a half seasons/130 episodes away. T_T And when she leaves, Mamoru also leaves... TT_TT But then Chibi-Chibi shows up! She rocks! haha...

Lessee.... I've got English 2 at 9:30 and Algebra at 10:30, and they're both MWF classes. Then.... That's it! Yup, only two classes this semester. That's why I'm hoping to get a job, so I can work my butt off and have enough money for when I transfer to Savannah (hopefully!) next semester.

*yawn* I'm so tired. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I was reading and reading and reading and even at 2:00 in the morning I still wasn't tired. I guess I finally fell asleep around 3:00 or 3:30.

Now that I'm awake during the morning and afternoon, I was able to turn in a lot of job applications and apply to some places online. Hopefully once all of the high school kids go back to school, there will be job openings and mebbee I'll start getting a few calls from some future-employers.

Right now I've uploaded two new pieces of digital abstrace art and I'm in the process of uploading some hand-drawn anime-themed stuff. So I'm very sorry if I flood everyone with drawings. I've been meaning to put up all of these for a while, now.

Urm... Not much else going on. I'm trying to get info on Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), because I'm thinking of transferring there next semester. 1. I'd really love to be able to go to an actual art school and 2. I need to get away from my parents. Living with them saves me money, but I still have a curfew. Ninteen years old and I have to be home by eleven o'clock on a weekday... x_x sucks.

Ummmm.... Oh yeah! I've been teaching myself the guitar for a while now, and I'm very proud of my progress. I've memorized lots of chords, and I'm understanding tabs now! Hooray! lol My favorite songs to play on the guitar are currently "Soul Meets Body" and "Cony Island", both by Death Cab for Cutie.

But when I go to music school (whenever that may be), I'll be concentrating on the piano. After all, when you've got 8 years of lessons under your belt, you've gotta do something with it, right?

I've got three major things to journal about, and it's really funny how well the fit together... I must warn you, though. If you're technologically declined, or just don't want to hear me talk about IRC, you can skip paragraphs 3, 4, and 5. (the next paragraph is paragraph #1)

First off, I mentioned something about going to sleep after 5am in my last journal. Well, it's gotten worse. I've been going to bed at 7 in the morning and not waking up 'till 2 in the afternoon. Noooooot good. Especially when my parents are pressuring me to go look for a job. I can't get a job if I don't wake up early enough to search for one. T_T So this has been going on for two weeks. It's really made me miserable. x_x

Since I couldn't fall asleep, I would explore the net/read doujinshi/watch Prince of Tennis episodes on my laptop 'till I fell asleep. It just so happened that Saturday night, I stumbled upon a site that had some pretty awesome doujinshi. While looking through the site, I kept finding messages that said "we need help" and "we can't get any more doujin up unless we have help". They need people to translate the manga from Jap to Eng and they need people to edit it, too. I looked that the requirements that they had up for their editor position, and I thought, "hmmm... I can edit. I'm pretty good at Photoshop. I'll give it a shot!" For their test, they had a page of unedited manga up and wanted all the japanese sound effects and dialouge edited out and English sound effects and dialouge edited in. Luckily, it was already cleaned. So I worked on it to the best of my ability, and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome! (working on it for four or five hours striaght, I'd better be pleased! lol) So I e-mail my finished piece to them along with a short message. I haven't gotten a reply back yet. I'm so anxious!

Well, after that, I noticed that they said that the editor must also be familiar with IRC. When I saw that I just went I've tried to work with IRC before and had absolutely no success. But I gave it a shot anyway. They had a tutorial up about how to set up the IRC client and how to connect to their IRC address and how to leech manga from them and yadda yadda yadda... Unfortunately, the IRC client they made the tutorial for is a client that only makes their product for Windows. *sigh* Not Mac compatible. That shouldn't have suprised me. So I searched for the Mac equivalent and downloaded that and tried to set it up, but I was utterly confused. I couldn't find everything the tutorial wanted me to find. Luckily, I wasn't frustrated enough to give up. I searched for another Mac IRC client and gave that a shot. No luck again. So I searched again. A few clients looked promising, but their files downloaded in a filetype my computer didn't recognize. Gaaaahhhh... Mac OSX doesn't open .sit files! Classic does! >.<

Anyway, I got really lucky and was able to get into the right server with the third IRC client I tried. haha! I celebrated for about a minute. ^_^ So it's time to type in commands when..... I can't find the place to type in stuff at... Dejected, I went back to the second client and attempted to get into the server again. I got stuck for about half an hour on the fill-in-the-box thing when you fill in the server and something else and something else and it was really confusing... @_@ I kept typing stuff in and due to trial and error I finally got it right! haaaaaaa......... lol Actually, the only reason I got it right was because of the screenshots in the tutorial. The titlebar in the screenshots had the irc address in it and so I tried it and it worked. ^_^ Actually, trial and error is how I learn most computer stuff. A lot of computer program tutorials out there are for the PC and even though the Mac is slightly different, it's different enough to be a problem sometimes. A few different things to talk about today, but hopefully this journal won't be too long.

First off, I can't believe that I got so many comments and faves on the recent abstract work I put up! I'm so happy! lol I've got a few more pieces to put up, too, so look out for those.

Second, I got to vote for the first time today. Like, an actual election. haha... It was kinda exciting. I just got up, drove myself to the middle school, got a ballot, voted for certain candidates on a computer screen, got a "I Voted" sticker with the Georgia peach on it, and went home. lol So easy. Now I'm really wondering why people don't vote. It only took me five minutes.

After that, I went home n' washed my clothes and worked on some digital wallpapers (no one will see 'em 'till Monday, though ). Then I made some soup for lunch and worked on the Sudoku puzzle from Sunday's paper. However, since I was the only one home... I grabbed my iPod and headphones and sung my heart out from about noon to three.

Oh, did I mention that I like to sing really loud and passionately when no one's home? It's one of my favorite things to do.

haha... And now I'm back on my laptop. I need to fix those digital wallpapers because I just noticed a pretty massive mistake. >.< Oh well. It won't be that difficult.

And I was on a drawing spree last night (or early this morning, whatever you consider 1am to about 5am) so after I ink the pencilwork and scan it and color it, I'll have it up here. I love it when I get motivated by something and draw. Everything seems to come out so perfect and detailed. Strangely enough, it was doujinshi that inspired me last night/early this morning. XD So there's three shounen-ai pics that I won't be showing (on this site, at least ), since I know that not all of my viewers like that kind of stuff, but the other drawings and doodles are okay to post.

And If you didn't understand a thing in that last paragraph, it's okay. XD

...I'm really kinda bored. :\

Well, my adventures in Texas ended June 30th when my older sister drove me to the airport that morning. I worked on my Sudoku puzzzle book while I waited for my 12:30 flight to the Reno/Tahoe airport. The plane was kinda small, but that was okay. It was a Delta Connector flight that flew from DFW to Salt Lake. I had just enough time at Salt Lake to adjust my watch (switching from Central Time to Mountain Time ), get something to eat, briefly call my sister to tell her that I was okay, and wait a couple of minutes for the plane to come into the terminal. Then I took another Delta Connector and flew from Salt Lake to Reno/Tahoe. I was a little confused over the time when I stepped off the plane (for some reason I thought that Nevada was on Mountain Time XD ), but it was okay. I met my aunt and uncle, then we waited about an hour for my parents and little sister to arrive. Actually, we had to wait two hours because their plane was delayed. They drove from our house (30 minutes below Atlanta) to the airport in Birmingham, flew to Las Vegas, then flew to Reno/Tahoe. Their plane was late leaving Las Vegas because it had no crew. They all went to the wrong terminal. lol Anyway, everyone arrived safe and sound in Reno/Tahoe.

So my dad got a rental car and we followed my aunt and uncle through the mountains (literally!) to the awesome vacation spot known as Lake Tahoe! ^_^ Oh my gosh, it is so pretty there! Lake Tahoe resides on the California/Nevada state line and the lake is huge and is surrounded by snow-topped mountains. It never got too hot, but the temperature dropped to around 50 or so when the sun went down.

So we all arrived in Tahoe Friday afternoon. My uncle and two cousins drove from their home in Southern California to Tahoe on Saturday morning and arrived at the hotel where we were staying around 1:00 or 1:30. I was so excited to see them! *^_^* I hadn't seen them for two years. My older cousin is only two months older than me and as it turns out, she brought her Powerbook, too, and is a huge Mac lover. Needless to say, we got along very well. My younger cousin is four years younger than me (only one year younger than my little sister), and she brought her sketchbook, too, as well as their Gamecube and various games (including Super Smash Brothers Melee :woot!.

It was interesting getting used to the time change. I had problems the first two days, but I was fine the rest of the week. Like, we all went to this pizza place the first night we flew in. We were all about to fall asleep on the table because even though it was only 9:00pm Pacific Time, it was midnight Eastern Time. @_@. Even though I spent a little over a month on Central Time in Texas, I still had to get up early in the morning so I could go to work with my sister. I hadn't stayed up late for a while. But after I got used to the time difference, I had absolutely nooooo problem staying up late with my cousins and sister.

We did a lot in Tahoe, including going jet skiing on the lake, taking a gondola ride up a mountain, going on a dinnerboat cruise and watching the fireworks explode over the lake on the 4th of July, going to an art fair, and walking around the shopping area. All the fun stuff was on the California side. And during the first few days, me, my little sister, and our two cousins decided to dye our hair crazy colors. My older cousin and I dyed our hair purple, my little sister dyed her hair orange, and my younger cousin dyed her hair red. XD It was so awesome! We got so many compliments on our hair... it was so cool. haha...

As soon as everyone finishes sending each other their pictures from the trip, I'll post a few here or link to them. I did a lot of artwork while away on vacation, so I gotta go post that, too.

I've been meaning to write another journal for a while now... Yes, I'm still in Texas. Yes, I'm still alive. Yes, I don't ever want to go back to Georgia.

This trip is really rockin! I've having a blast in Fort Worth, seeing the sights, eating out. Oh my goodness, sushi is my new love! I don't understand why some people won't even try sushi. Only a small portion of it is raw. And it tastes really good! ^_^

So I've had sushi, Mexican, Texas BBQ (got a few pics of that)... I've seen the Botanical Gardens, the Cowgirl Museum, the Modern Museum... I know I'm leaving something out... I went horesback riding... Well, I'm making a scrapbook, so I'll scan the pages when I get home and put 'em up on Photobucket for ya'll to look through.

haha... I don't think I've ever typed "ya'll" before, even though I say it all the time.

My sister Kim, her husband, and I drove down to Austin yesterday to visit with our cousin Heather, her husband, and their new baby, Jaxon. He is so cute! *^_^* He's almost one month old and he makes the cutest noises! lol Heather, Kim, Jaxon, and I went to the mall today and had a blast. I took plenty of pictures and I'm working on a sort of collage, so I'll post 'em when we get back to Ft. Worth on Sunday.

Y'know, this trip is just what I needed. It's nice to get out of Georgia where I was born and lived in all my life. I mean, I was born in East Point, then moved to Ellenwood when I was three and I've lived there ever since (planning to live on campus next year, though). I'm really learning about myself personality-wise, and learning how to really deal with other people in an office environment and way upper-class environment (like, the wives of men who own oil companies and the people who own about half of Fort Worth kind of upper-class ). I'm not really missing Georgia, but I am missing a few things in it:

1. My family and close friends
2. Sweet tea. (I've ordered iced tea and tried to make it better, but it didn't work at all. x_X )

There aren't many trees out here, though. That kind of sucks. Well, there are some trees in Austin, but that's all I've seen.

I need to go through my devs and journals. They're getting piled up ( 308D, 2C, 95J, 6P ). ... I'll do 'em later.

Allright! I'm in Texas! ^_^ My flight left Atlanta from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Tuesday morning. My dad got me there about two hours before the flight left, so it's safe to say that he didn't want me to miss my flight. I like the airport. I like looking at all the different people and I like to see the planes land and take off. I also like the Starbucks.

My flight was good. I got a window seat so I could look out the window and see the patchwork "farms" (there are no farms between Atlanta's airport and the DFW airport, so it was cool to see 'shrunken cities' n' stuff). I sat next to a sweet little ol' lady and we had a nice time chatting on the hour and a half flight.

When I came out of the terminal, I felt a little lost because I forgot which baggage claim I was supposted to go to and because I didn't turn off my cell phone while the plane was in the air, my battery died. My sister was supposted to be waiting for me at the correct baggage claim, so I picked a random direction and headed for the closest baggage claim. Luckily, it was the correct one! yay! hahaha... So we got my one piece of luggage and headed over to her work.

My sister works at the Lone Star Film Society, so I'm just helping her out as the intern. They're a non-profit organization, and their mission is to inform the community of film and their ultimate goal is to hold an international film festival in 2007. They've got the funding, they've just got to get all the plans together.

Last night we went to a party in honor of a very important person's niece. This very important person just happens to be the third-richest person in Fort Worth and the party was held at her house. ...Wowza, that was a big house! And an even bigger yard. The party started at 9pm, so it was expected that it would last until about 2 in the morning. Yeah, um, my sister, her husband, and I only stayed until 11:00. The house was so freaky, though! o_O! The family travels around the world, so they buy statues and paintings and books and rugs and everything elegant and old and stick it in the house. ...There were skulls in one room, accompanied by the taxidermied pet dogs (shivers). Several of the rooms held artifacts that came from Russian churches (from the very old Christian churches, I think), including naked angel statues, crumbly holy texts, various crosses, and portraits of holy people (not unlike the portraits of saints I see whenever I go into a Catholic church). Over the fireplace a pair of hands were sticking out of the wall holding candles (shivers). When the owners of the house become deceased, most of the stuff will probably be shipped off to a museum. Heck, most of it needs to be shipped to a museum now!

So we spent a lot of time outside. It was nice. Kinda hot, but at least there was a breeze. There was a live band. Johnny and the Rockets, if I remember correctly. They played easy listening music, including some music from the 80s. They were so awesome, though! Their instruments included a drumset, bass guitar, xylophone, muted saxophone, small electrical organ, and various percussion instruments. Some songs were instrumental, and some songs were sung. Pretty good. They had a bar outside that served alcoholic drinks as well as water and soft drinks. There was a lil' snack bar, too. Wanna guess what I had to drink that night? A Coke, another Coke, and...

It was really cool meeting some of the people there at that party. i.e. A lady with really pretty curly long blonde hair talked to my sister and her boss for a bit. When she walked away, my sister told me that she was one of the original Dixie Chicks before the group got famous! Woooooah!

Woo-hoo! I've been uploading pics like crazy recently! Since the 14th, I've put up seven pics in my gallery and four pics in my scraps. And I'm not done yet, peeps! I'm not sure if I'll upload any more today. I don't want to bog down peoples' message boxes. I need to clear out my messages, too (148D, 92J, 3P). It's been a lot worse before, but I've been trying my best to keep up.

Oh, and my grades were posted the other day. *drumroll* They are as follows:

Psychology: A
English: B
American Government: C
Biology Lecture: D
Biology Lab: D

Yikes! C? D? Where did those come from? Well, I really don't do well in science classes (though science itself interests me), so that explains the Ds. But I actually thought that I was going to fail my Gov't class! I did so-so on all the tests (I got Cs and a few Ds), and I actually missed the final, so I thought I was going to get an F for sure. But I got a C! I was jumping up and down and screaming when I saw that! lol I think it's because he gave us all those pop quizzes for extra points to add on to the final grade, and he gave extra points for attendence, too. Also, he mentioned something about dropping our lowest test grade for some reason or another. I guess he actually did drop it!

So I'm relieved that I didn't fail anything, but these grades combined with last semester's grades make my GPA about a 2.2. *sob* I know I can do better than that! I need to hurry up and audition for the music program! I know I'll make it and once I start taking classes in the subject that I love, I know I'll be making As and Bs! Mwahahaha!

...and now I'm 19 years old! Hallelujah~! Perhaps I'll look more like an adult now. I remember looking for jobs last year and people kept asking me how old I was. -_-'

Yesterday was pretty busy for me. Last journal I mentioned that I was paid to play as an accompanist for two choirs at my old high school for a chorus competition. The competition was at Douglas County High School in Douglasville, GA (very close to Six Flags, and an hour away from my house) and the choirs I played for sung at 8:20. They were so good! *^_^* They both sung an acapella piece then a piece accompanied by me. Ooh.. I was so nervous! But I held myself together. Luckily we were the first group to perform, so nobody was there to hear us except the parents that tagged along and the judges (only two or three judges). Also, I was glad the piano wasn't very loud. It looked like a baby grand, but it also looked pretty old and not regularly used. After both choirs sang, they changed clothes and they probably got on the bus and went to Six Flags. I know they and all the other eight choirs in the competition were going to spend the whole day at Six Flags. But I went home as soon as everyone filed off the stage!

So I got home, had something to eat, then rested for a bit. Then at 12:15 I left for the bowling alley to meet up with some friends. ^_^ I called a bunch of friends, but Heather, William, Alexis (William's little sister), Kourtney, Phillip (Kourtney's little brother), and Aaron showed up. We played two games, except Heather had to go home after the first one, Phillip dropped out after the first one, and Alexis didn't play at all. We had a really fun time! Aaron won both games ( -_-; ), but that's okay. We were all supposted to go over to William's house and hang out for a little while, but Kourtney, Phillip, and Aaron had to go home. So I attempted to follow William home, but he sucks at driving and I got lost (he went home using roads I'm unfamiliar with >.< ). Luckily, Aaron was behind me so (very long story short) we went to Wal*Mart so we could pick out Mother's Day cards/presents for our moms. We split up from there, so I went home and flopped down in bed. I was so tired... x_x

After a while, I logged on to MySpace and sent messages back to the people who whished me a happy birthday! And I paid a visit to my Facebook friends, too. I need to visit Facebook more often..

So. My semester ended today with the completion of my English final. We just had to write an essay. *shrug* Nuthin' new. I got a few of my old essays back, though. 95s and 90s! Alright! *^_^* lol

Urm... I'm not too sure what to say right now. This semester went by so fast and I didn't keep up at all here. -_-' Well, I had my Biology practical for my Bio lab a few weeks ago. It really sucked. I ended up getting a D, but at least that's passing at my school. Bio class final was easy. Finished it in 30 minutes. Psych final was easy. I'm sure I got a decent grade on it. Government final... ah.... I stayed up too late the previous night/that morning and I ended up sleeping through my alarm. The final was from 8-10 in the morning. I woke up at 9:50. I remember sitting up in bed, looking at the clock, feeling my eyes open reeeeeeeally wide and I said, "No f***ing way. ... No. F***ing. Way." Then I looked around my room, saw my exam schedule on the calendar across from my bed, and repeated my previous statement a few more times. Then I set my clock so I could wake up in time for my Bio final and went back to sleep. I still need to call my govt teacher and see if I can make up the test. >.<

So, yeah. No more school for me 'till fall. I've still gotta meet with an advisor, though, to go over what classes I should take that semester. *sigh* I should be happy that school's over, but I still gotta worry about that friggin govt exam. >.< It's really bothering me. If I don't get to take that test, I'd probably fail the class. And if I don't fail (somehow), then I'd get a D. While it's still passing, it doesn't really help my GPA, and I have got to keep my scholarship! Gaaaahhhh...... I can't wait 'till I try out for the music program. I'll most likely get in, and I'll be taking classes that I'm actually interested in.

Speaking of music, this older teen *points to self* got hired to play the piano! Woo hoo! Finally! I'm getting money for something I love to do! Even though I graduated last year, my old high school asked me to come back and play the keyboard for the school's musical (Footloose). A new chorus teacher got hired this year (his name is Mr. R. (the R stands for something really long)) and he directed the instruments in the pit. Funny enough, he doesn't really know how to play the piano, so they had to hire someone to play the lead piano part. (Whoever heard of a chorus teacher who couldn't play the piano? Oh well. He's a great guy nonetheless. )Anyway, he asked me to play the piano for a chorus competition that one of the chorus classes is going to. I'm only playing two pieces and I'm getting $100 for it! Score! It's the morning of May 13th (My birthday!!!) and it's in Duluth, Georgia (near Six Flags. ... Hey, that gives me an idea...). I'm so excited! I can't wait! I've been practicing and practicing.... It would be awesome to be an accompaniast more often. Mebbee once I get into the school's music program I can be an accompaniast for vocal students. As long as they're willing to pay me. Poor college students have to make money somehow.

Okay. And here's the real reason I wanted to post a journal. I am so obsessed with Star Ocean 3!!! I've been reading fanfics like crazy and I've been doing art like crazy, too. Oh, no. Not just fanfics and drawings of random characters. Particular characters. *evil grin* Two particular male characters. Now, I know this may sound weird because I've never mentioned about me having an interest in male couples before, but... well... I never really knew how I felt about same sex couples. Now I'm more liberal about it (no, not liberal as in politics). Don't worry. I know that people don't watch me for the shonen ai or yaoi or boy love or whatever you want to call it. So I will not be posting explicit pics here. I'll post a few pics of them posing together, and maybe even a few of them hugging. But I'll probably open an account with the y!Gallery for the more mature rated pics.

Okay. So, six weird things about me:

1. I'm fairly organized and like to keep things neat and clean (using cabinets, bookshelves, filing systems...) ... except for the floor in my room is a total mess.
2. I've been drawing ever since I was three years old. Mom loves to talk about my first drawing: a crocodile.
3. The first computer our family used was a DOS operating system back in the mid to late 90's (haha... makes me sound old!), then we had no computer for a while (that thing was so slow!), and now I've been a Mac user for about six years. Despite my lack of using Windows operating system, I still know more about using Windows than some people at school and at church (even though Windows is evil! EVIL!)
4. I love to write stories, but I never have the time.
5. I love cats and have an extremely high tolerance for them. Unfortunately, our family never had a cat. Our neighbor did, though. Whenever I would play with her, she would get over-excited and bite on my hands and scratch up my arms (drawing blood and leaving long scratches). But I would always just laugh and rub her head and tell her she was a good kitty. XP
6. I love listening to 90's music! *^_^* I have almost all of Ace of Base's CDs, I found my old Hanson and Spice Girls CDs and was hysterically happy, Spin Doctors is my hero, and I could sing Lit all day long! "Please tell me! Please tell me why/ The car is in the front yard and I'm/ Sleeping with my clothes on./ Came in through the window last night/ And you're gone."

Geez, it's been a while. I haven't written a journal here in three months, and haven't submitted anything in even longer. *sigh* That's what happens when your life gets too busy. Lucky for me, things are gonna change.

Last time I wrote, I wrote about the beginning of my second semester in college. Now I'm gonna write about the end of my second semester in college. haha... Yeah. Final exams are the first week of May, and my lab practical is tomorrow (Last day of Bio Lab! Woo! *^_^* ) To sum it up: Amer. Gov. was okay, kinda boring. English was a lot of fun. Lots of discussion, and instead of reading a bunch of books and writing papers over them, we just wrote essays every few weeks (I perfer writing short essays over long papers any day). And we watched a bunch of movies, too (see above). Psych is cool. It's really interesting and I have a fun teacher who knows what he's talking about. Bio is frikkin boring. The teacher is really dull and she never sounds confident about what she's saying. Bio lab is just as boring. *sigh* ... I should have taken Chem (I only took Bio because I thought it was going to be easy.

So there ya go. I'm taking five classes and I really hate it. heeeeeeeeh...... I should've just taken four. -_-' Five classes really wears me out. I hope I can make it to all the final exams.

So on top of that, I'm still working five days a week. A lot of days I come straight home from school, relax for about fourty-five minutes, then haul my butt over to McDonald's. ... Good thing I handed in my two-week notice this past Sunday. *^_^* Yes, folks. This girl will soon be free! My last day of work is April 30th and my last day of school is May 4th (hooray!). So I'll be chillin' for most of May. But.... ...

My little sister's Confirmation is in May, as is my older brother's college graduation, and.... my birthday!. *^_^* My b-day is May 13th! I'll be 19 years old! (finally ) Then on May 24th, I'll be flying out to Texas to spend the month of June with my older sister! I'm really looking forward to that! Actually, I've been looking forward to it since I bought the plane tickets back in Feburary. My sis lives inbetween the cities of Dallas and Ft. Worth. Any fellow deviants live over in that direction?

I'll be interning at her work (she works at Texas Lone Star Film Company), so it should be fun. At least I'm getting paid. haha... Then on July 1st I'll be flying up to Lake Tahoe to meet with family and we'll spend the week up there for the Fourth of July n' stuff. Then I'll be flying back to GA.

haha... Sounds like a plan, huh? Let's just hope it all works out, okay? This is the first summer in a looooooong time where I'm actually doing stuff. Usually I just lay around the house and do nothing. I'm really looking forward to it! *^_^*

Okay. I had 2000-something things to clear out (deviations, messages, journals, polls...), and I did most of it last night and finished up today. I'm so proud of myself! *^_^* I looked at most of the deviations. I still have a few to comment on. Unfortunately, I had over 200 journals to look through. Since I knew that most of them probably didn't concern me, I just deleted them all. SO! If there was something that someone wanted to tell me to show me, just PM me and let me know. Thanks! *^_^*

I've experienced more emotions this morning than I have my whole life. Also, today is one of those days where something goes wrong, but miraculously, everything turns around and it's okay. Whatever.

I stayed up really late last night and I don't think I fell asleep until around 2:30. I had a class this morning at 11:25 (weird time), so I set my alarm for 10:25. When I got up, I realized that I didn't do my homework for my 1:30 class. So I started freaking out and rushed around and finally finished it. Unfortunately, that made me late for leaving for my 11:25 class. I usually give myself thirty minutes to get to school, but this morning I left fifteen minutes before the class started. So I printed out my homework, threw some clothes on, and raced to school. The speed limit for the road I take to school is 40mph, and I usually add 5 to the speed limit of the road I'm on. This morning, I added 10 and cussed at the people who were going 35 in front of me. Luckily, most of these people turned onto different roads at one point. I even flicked off someone. Twice. I'm usually not this aggressive, but today was the first class and I'd rather not be late.

So I made it to campus in about 15 minutes (never happens on a normal day) and it was already 11:25. I figured I'd only be about a few minutes late. ... ... ... That was assuming I'd find a parking space. I circled around and around and around and around..... I finally found a space waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy away from the building I needed to be in. So I walked speedily to the Buisness building and found the classroom. I tried the handle, but it was locked. I knocked and waited. I heard the teacher talking/lecturing about something. I waited a few minutes and knocked again. I swear I heard her say "don't open it," but I waited anyway. Then my face got hot, I felt a tear roll down my cheek, and I quickly made my way to the bathroom. I got in a stall and just sobbed. Damn, all this stress I put myself through, and I couldn't even get into the classroom. After a few minutes, I splashed some cold water on my face and sat in a chair outside the classroom.

Now this is where everything turns around.

I was planning on waiting for the class to end, so I could apologize to the teacher for missing the class and let her know that I'd still like to be on the roll (if you don't show up for the first two classes, you're automatically dropped from the class). I knew it could be awhile (scheduled class time was 11:25-1:15 ), so I pulled out my laptop and was about to surf dA for a little while. Then this guy walks down the hall and was about to try the handle on the door, when I told him that she (the teacher) wouldn't open the door. He's like, "But class starts at 11:45." I told him it started at 11:25 and he just looks at me. I told him my situation, and he just stood there for a while, then he walked over to the right a little. I got up and followed him, and it turns out that there are two doors that lead into the classroom. I don't think either of us knew this door existed, but it was wide and open, so we walked in and stood at the back of the class (it's a Bio Lab, and all the stools were taken). The teacher was going over lab saftey n' stuff, then passed out waiver forms for all of us to sign. We had to date it, sign it, print our name, then get someone else to sign it, too. So the guy and I signed each other's papers and that's pretty much how we learned each other's names (well, we introduced ourselves to each other, too). Class let out, and we talked a little more and it turns out that we have 1:30 Biology together. He's like, "I've still gotta do that homework." Then I said, "Yeah, that homework was what made me late for class." Wow. Where have I been? heh. I've pretty much been at home these past four weeks. I've been working a lot, too. (job still sucks >.< ) A lot of my friends have come home from college; William's come home from Indiana U, Steph's come home from M.I.T., numerous people have come home from UGA or Tech or other various state schools. But now everyone's back in school again. Actually, I'm catching lunch in the school's cafe, havin' a burger n' some fries. Yes, the second semester has started for me. How was my first semester? ....eh.... Got an A in World Music, B in Statistics, B in Survey of Social Sciences, and.... an F in Critical Thinking. I've never gotten a failing grade in any class in my life. I've only gotten about one or two C's ever, and those were in high school. -_-' So, I've just gotta do better to keep my HOPE scholarship (Google it).

So today, I've been through two classes: American Government and English. Both of those teachers are pretty cool. Actually, my English teacher let us out of class about fourty minutes early. Which is why I'm able to catch lunch, because I've got three classes today (my next class is Psychology) and I've only got 15 minutes between each class. So I guess my usual lunch will be something out of the vending machine every Monday and Wednesday. hehe... My Psych class is in a lecture hall. For some reason, I'm really excited about that. *^_^*

Well, I'm gonna go now. I'll come back on dA for a little while sometime. I actually haven't touched dA in a few weeks now (fyi: Dragonpaws has 1,101 new messages ( 978D, 115J, 8P )). Man, I feel so happy right now! *^_^* I'm home alone, basking in the happiness that I don't have to go to school for another three weeks and I don't have to go to work today. haha.. I got out of bed this morning/afternoon around 11:30, and started wrapping Christmas presents. I'm in the kitchen right now. My laptop's on the counter blaring Death Cab for Cutie songs while I'm baking chocolate chip cookies and singing very loudly to those songs.

Cookies will be done in a few hours. Anyone want some? We can make this a party if someone brings some hot chocolate and egg nog.

Yes, finals are over. Finally.

Yesterday really sucked, because I had three in a row, and I royally screwed up in timing on the first one. My Stats class usually meets at nine-o' clock in the morning, so I got ready like usual and made my way to the school, noticing that the traffic was really light and I managed to get a decent parking space once I got to school. Before I took the key out of the ignition, I looked at the car's clock and thought, "Hmmm... 8:45. Not bad. ... Wait... Was the exam from 8:00 to 10:00 or 9:00 to 11:00?" So I hurredly looked at the class' syllabus and it said "Final Exam: 8-10 am for MWF" I was like all at the same time and speedwalked up to the University Center building, practically ran up three flights of stairs, and made my way into the classroom. The teacher gave me this stern look like 'where-have-you-been-the-exam-started-fourty-five-minutes-ago?!' and I just smiled back sheepishly. What's funny, though, is that I finished the exam in about an hour. Nearly half the class was still working on it when I left the classroom. I don't know why, but I have a knack for finishing my tests early in that class. Like, I'm usually one of the first three people to finish before anyone else does.

So, anyway, I left the classroom and sat down in a comfy chair in the lobby-ish area. The girl sitting in the chair across from me had an iBook and I was like, "Awesome iBook! I've got a PowerBook. I'm glad to see someone else with an Apple computer on this campus." ^_^ She said something like "Yeah, that's cool. I love my iBook!" Then I tried to study for Critical Thinking for a while 'till I noticed it was a little after 10:00. Suddenly, I got really worried and wondered if my Crit final started at 10:00 or 10:30, so I made my way to the Buisness building. I found the classroom nearly deserted (only one other person in there), so I figured the final started at 10:30 (and it did. What a relief. ^_^ ) The teacher told us all to bring our books for the exam, so we concluded that this would be an open-book exam. We were partially correct. Everyone brought their books to the front of the classroom and the teacher passed out the books to everyone so that everyone was using someone else's book for the exam. heh. So the people who bookmarked pages and wrote notes all over the pages didn't really get any benifit. They just benefited someone else. I didn't write in or bookmark any of my pages, though, but I did get a plain book in exchange. Thank goodness we got to use the book at all. I didn't study for this exam at all and I'm pretty sure I got an A or a B because we got to use the book. Hooray!

So that exam ended at 12:30, and with my own book back, I hopped in my car and drove over to the Music Education building, where I parked my car in a fairly good parking spot. I studied a bit for my World Music exam (which started at 1:00, by the way), which was mostly over the music of South America, and a little bit over the music of the countries we've previously studied. Exam was a piece of cake and only took about 35 minutes or so. And I must say that South American music is totally awesome! My favorite type is the traditional bands that include the charango, the harp, and pan pipes. Ooh! I just love the sound of those instruments!

So anyway, I went home, but not before stopping at the bank to deposit last Monday's check from McDonald's. I turned on the TV, made myself some soup, then zonked out on the couch. I went to work later, though. And that was what happened yesterday.

Holy crap, finals are next week and I'm freakin out! All I did last night when I got home from class was study for Statistics. I worked on the quiz that was due today, I worked the online homework, went over the lessons from the book's CD, went through the pages from the lessons in the book.... Too much. I just got out of my stats class, and now that my teacher's explained everything, I feel better. In case anyone is interested, we're going over hypothesis testing (H sub-0 and H sub-a) for means and proportions, z-distributions, t-distributions, and all this other confusing crap. The test over this stuff is on Friday, so I'd better know it by then. And the class' final is this up-coming Monday from 8-10 am, and it covers the whole course. gahhhhhh.... Study, study study!

...and I've got three other classes...

I feel pretty good about my music class' final. Just know the general characteristics of a country's music. Africa uses harmony, has complex rhythms, uses lots of percussion, is in the western pitch system; Blues uses harmony, is in the w.p.s., uses lots of microtonal ornaments (bends the pitches); Japanese traditional music uses no harmony (except when using the Koto), uses microtonal ornaments, is in the w.p.s., and really sucks @$$ because the geishas cannot sing to save their life. And there are more regions than that, but those are just examples.

I'm gonna suck at my critical thinking final. I don't know how I'm gonna study for all that. I just better pass it because I do not want to have to take that class over again. Waste of time.

Now, all those classes have their exams on Monday. Stats is 8-10 am, crit is 10:30-12:30, and music is 1-3 pm, I think. He hasn't really talked about the times for the final yet. On his syllabus, it says:

Final exams:

Section 1: Monday, Dec. 12th, 8-10 a.m.
Section 2: Monday, Dec. 12th, 1-3 p.m.

I know he has at least 2 world music classes, and we're his second class, so mebbee "Section 2" means "My Second Class". *sigh* I dunno. Hopefully, he'll clear that up for us.

My other class is Survey of Social Sciences, and that exam is on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Thank God that this exam is different. All the other exams are cumulative (they go over everything in the course), but this exam is just like any other test we had in that class. ie., this exam is over chapters 11-16 from our book or something like that. It's all over poverty, hunger, drugs, and how it all relates to power. Stuff like that. I just gotta study like I normally do.

Well, writing this journal has made me feel a little better. I've got about an hour and a half before critical thinking, and I've been studying so much recently, that I think I'll just chill out 'till that class starts. I have a feeling that the class is gonna be really short, because lass class he asked if we had any questions over the material, and we didn't really go over much. We're gonna do the same thing today, so hopefully we'll get out early again. I brought my anime piano sheet music with me today, so if class does let out early, I can play in the practice rooms before my music class. Playing the piano always relaxes me. I got to play in the practice rooms because crit ended early this past class session (Monday). I didn't bring any music with me, so I looked some up on the internet, and found this: [link] I love playing church music, and was so estatic to find Catholic hymn sheet music on the internet! This post was originally written about 2:10 or so in the afternoon today, but I didn't get back on my comptuer to post it until after I got back from work (which is now). Whoops.

Man, I feel so out of it. Just took a test in my world music class, so I'm waitin' out here in the lobby for 2:20 to come along so class will resume. I haven't felt like doing anything at all today. Probably cuz it's been raining all day, and it hasn't rained this hard in a long time. Meh. Between classes, I've been getting on the computer and haven't really found anything interesting to do. Drawed a little in Photoshop, but didn't produce anything interesting. Read a few dA journals (like, three). Felt like getting on Gaia, but didn't.... *sigh* I did some homework for Critical thinking, though. Yay.

On to more exciting stuff....

Saturday morning, my friend Lori gave me two of her baby dwarf hamsters! They're two males, and they're so cute! I haven't had hamsters for a few years, and I was so excited about getting them! I bought a cage for them, got some really good food, got some nice smelling wood chips... *^_^* They both have brown fur, but one has these really red eyes. His name is... Red Eyes! My mom named him. The other one has brownish/red eyes, and I named him... Muffin Man! ...I just call him Muffin for short. I call 'em both My Babies, cuz they're so freakin cute! *^_^* lol Yeah, I know. They're sickingly cute names and I'm acting in a sickingly cute manner, but I like it. I'll borrow someone's digital camera and take some pictures of them for you guys.

Doot de doo... Well, I'm in a slightly better mood now. In the last journal I said I had waaaaay to many journals to read and deviations to look at, but I read through all the journals and I narrowed the devs down to 100-something. I wasn't able to comment on all of the deviations, but at least I was able to view them all (via really big thumbnails. It rocks having a subscription. )

Man, I've neglected dA for over a week, and now I've got 643 Deviations and 107 Journals to sort through . Where have I been? Funny you should ask. I've been addicted to Gaia ever since I joined November 16th. You'll notice that November 16th was the date of the last journal I posted here on dA. Yeah. Whenever I got on the internet, I immediately went to Gaia and just.... stayed there.

It's such a fun community! You know how dA is an art community? Well, Gaia is a forum community. I didn't think I'd like it so much, because some people in forums are just... *shudder* and I've had some bad experiences with forums in the past. But these are allright. You don't always have to hang around in the forums, though. When you first join, you have to create a little character, like an RP(G) character. They have a map you can wander around, and the more you wander around, the more gold you pick up. Anything and everything you do on Gaia earns you gold, from posting messages in the forum, to posting journals on your userpage. They also have an art gallery where you can post your drawings and rate others' drawings and leave comments. (you get gold doing that stuff, too. ^_^) When you have enough gold, you can visit the various shops on the world map and buy your character (they're called 'avatars') some clothes. You can get a house, and even go fishing. There's even a place where you can get your avatar to roam around and go into other users' houses and interact with other users and their avatars. It's really cool! I seriously suggest that you check it out! Doot de dooo... Gave blood today. I saw some flyers around campus and thought I'd donate, but I wanted to finish my Critical Thinking homework first. So I finished my homework around 11:30 and checked out the blood drive. I asked one person how long it takes to donate, and she said about 45 minutes. Then I said that I had a class at noon, so I wasn't sure if I'd do it or not, but another girl said that the blood drive is a good excuse for missing class, and you guys know how much I love critical thinking..... so I went ahead with it. I had to read some papers about if I did such-and-such, or went out of the country for X amount of years, or had certain diseases, that I couldn't donate. But I was okay. So one of the nurses took a sample of my blood and asked me some questions, and I was good to go. I just relaxed in a sort of metal reclining chair-thingie (that sort of looked like a stretcher, too) and another nurse took my blood pressure and poked the vein in the crook of my elbow.

Nurse: Did you have anything to drink today?
Me: ...uh...
Nurse: Your vein is really hard!
Me: I... uh.... had a cappuchino....
Nurse: What?!

She told me off and told me the next time I donate blood, I should drink several glasses of water beforehand. So she made me drink some grape juice, then stuck the needle in my arm. I started cringing and told her that it really hurt! She told me that was the iodine (that she spread on my arm a little earlier) mixing with my blood. I immediately thought '...isn't it bad when anything mixes with your blood?' But soon the little pint-sized bag filled up with my blood, and the nurse remarked how quickly it filled up and asked me if I was okay. I was fine. I didn't really feel dizzy or anything. So I left the chair and had some Nutter-Butters and Capri Suns at the nearby snack table. Then I left for class.

I was glad that I had missed part of my class to donate blood. I've always wanted to donate blood, and plus, that class is really boring. When I got to my seat, I asked the person next to me where we were in the book, and she told me that they hadn't gotten very far. She said that the class kept getting off track. heh. Didn't miss much, did I. I hope to donate blood again soon, but I don't know how long I have to wait. I'll look it up on the internet later.

Man, my study behavior's been horrible lately. I had a test last night in my Survey of Social Sciences class and I swore that I was gonna study for it, but I ended up spending all afternoon at the mall with my little sister (it was a teacher workday at her school, so she had no school). By the time we got home, I had to head straight back out for class. ...I know I bombed that test. The night before, I started reading over the chapters we were tested on, but my mind kept wandering, so I didn't finish reading.

And in my Critical Thinking class that starts at noon, we're supposted to read chapter six, sections one and two and do the assigned homework problems. Well, I don't like to read the book because the CD that comes with the book is so much better at helping me understand the material. So I went over the material with the CD and did my homework at the same time. I know I shoul've been taking notes, then did my homework, but I just didn't feel like it. Actually, I didn't really spend that much time on my homework. I really guessed on most problems. :\ At least we go over the homework together in class. If he took it up, I probably would've spent more time on it. But he only assigns problems that have answers in the back of the book, so we can check our answers. Whatever. I feel like I'm rambling.

Those two classes talked about above are the classes I least like. I wish I could do better in those classes. *sigh* Geez, I can't wait 'till this semester ends. Actually, I can't wait 'till mid-December because that's when I'm auditioning to be a music major, and if I get accepted, then my major will then be Music Education instead of Integrated Studies (fancy term for 'undecided'). I really wanna take music classes. Music makes me happy.

Holy crap. It's five o'clock in the morning. I was having a random dream and it actually ended, when I was woken up by a crinkling sound. I knew it came from some shopping bags from the other night, and at first I thought it was just the change in air pressure or something. But the crinkling kept going on and on, so I grabbed my booklight and shined it in the direction of the noise and saw a big ugly roach on the closet door behind the bags. Dangit, it was another one of those nasty bugs coming to ruin my night. I didn't start screaming like last time because I didn't want to wake anyone up, so I was trying to think of some way to kill it. Then I had an idea. I opened the door to the conjoining bathroom and made sure the toilet seat was up, trapped the roach with a random cup I had in my room, slid a number of papers between the lid of the cup and the wall, then made my way to the toilet and promptly flushed him. I didn't think I was going to be able to flush the thing, but it eventually went down. It kept trying to swim back up. So I went to the bathroom while the toilet was refilling, then flushed it again. I hope that thing dies in the septic tank.

I was really looking forward to an interrupted sleep and being able to sleep in, since I'm not scheduled for work tomorrow (I mean, today. ) and I don't have any morning classes, but... As soon as I really get up tomorrow, I'm seriously cleaning up my room. I've been eating candy like crazy in there and it's time for the vacuum to be the ruling one. ... My Halloween was pretty cool... and really scary, too. Like seriously, it's hard to type because my hands are shaking so much. Lemme start from the beginning.

Got home from school this afternoon and was waiting for my friend Megan to call me. We were going to hang out and go see The Fog. She called and we met up at the movie theatre and bought tickets to see the 9:45 show (it was about 7:00 when we bought the tickets, I think). The tickets were originally $8.50 or something like that, but we got student discounts (go college! Yes!), so we got two dollars off. Then we went to the mall and got something to eat. As soon as we stepped outta her truck, we saw all these little kids everywhere and she was like, "Oh yeah. Trick-or-treating at the mall." So while trying not to trip over oodles of kids, we got some food (she got Chick-fil-a and I got some Manderin stuff). Then we went over to one of those photo booths and got pictures made! These pics are hilarious! I'll scan them soon so you guys can see. *^_^*

So we leave the food court and suddenly, one of the vender guys grabs me by the hand and drags me over to his cart and starts babbling about my nails. I'm like and starting mouthing 'oh my gosh!' to Megan while she's furiously waving at me to come on. But, for some reason, I couldn't just leave the guy (mebbee cuz he looked a lot like my older brother), so he uses this brush/file thing on one of my nails and suddenly it's super shiny and he's trying to sell me his products. I didn't have the heart to say "no." ... T_T ... I'm so weak. He's like, "This is sale we have for Halloween. This product (it's a lil' bag of manicure stuff) is usually sold for $60, but tonight, we have Halloween special. If you buy two, is $44 dollars each. A deal! We want to make everyone happy for Halloween!" Megan said that she didn't have any money for it, and I had the money for it, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it or not, and the guy and his 'supervisor' kept looking at me and... He ended up selling it to me for $30 a piece. He's like, "We never sell for this price. Don't tell anyone!" So I paid credit for it and he gave me a reciept and a guarantee and a number to call if I'm not satisifed n' all this crap. @_@ Meh. This stuff better be good! It really did impress me in the mall. It better impress me when I use it at home!

So after that, Megan and I just walked around the mall. We tried going up the down escalator, but that didn't really over go so well (Me: "Megan! Megan! This isn't gonna work!!" ) Ooh! Then we went into the Icing and spent about 30 minutes in there going through the sales rack! *^_^* Everything was "Buy ten items for $5!" So we both got ten items apiece (mostly jewerly and sunglasses). It had originally rung up for around 30 dollars, but with the sale.... five bucks, baby!

Then it was nine o'clock, so we had to leave the mall and went back to the movies. The theatre showing The Fog only had about five other people in it. It was pretty cool! Megan and I were goofing up and randomly yelling stuff during the previews. If there had been an usher, we probably would've been kicked out. So anyway, the movie started, and all was going well. We jumped at all the sudden noises and gasped at all the sudden movements, and was envious at the girl that was getting to make out with Tom Welling. XD Man, he's so hot without his shirt. *^_^* haha... So all in all, the movie was pretty good! The only bad thing about it is the end. My boyfriend and I had a serious conversation on the phone last night. We decided just to be freinds.

Well, it's not like I couldn't see it coming. We've got completely different schedules. We haven't seen each other for about a month, and barely talked once a week. That's what jobs and college do for relationships. So are we taking a break from each other, or is this a permanent thing? I dunno. I hope it's not permanent. I'd like to get back together with him. Maybe next semester...

My mom, sister, and I went to the dentist this morning. hehe... I like going to the dentist, believe it or not. Probably cuz I've never had a cavity before (knock on wood? ) So the cleaning didn't take long at all. The dentist's like, "Well, Elizabeth, you've got really good teeth. One thing I can recommend, which is totally optional, is to whiten them and complete that pretty smile." So I might do that thing where you put gel on your teeth and put a lil container over them overnight for x amount of days or however that works. Anyone ever whiten their teeth? Any recommendations?

This morning after my stats class (about 10:00) my friend Ashley and I went to the mall to hang out before our afternoon classes. We were both hungry, so we had some pretzles (plus, I had a buy one get one free coupon ), and we stopped at Waldenbooks cuz they're having a buy four paperbacks, get one free sale! So, I bought 5 manga: the 4th Inuyasha, the 4th Hikaru no Go, the 5th Hikaru no Go, the 5th Negima, and the 1st Death Note. I love manga. haha... I spent $40, I better love it. Then we stopped at Hot Topic. I wasn't planning on buying anything because while all their clothes and accessories are really cute, I'm not gonna spend $50 on a pair of pants or $40 for a shirt. It's just not worth it for me. But! I found out that they have CDs and DVDs and I started squealing when I found a Death Cab for Cutie DVD and was just as equally excited to find Death Cab's newest CD! *^_^* So.... I spent $40 at Hot Topic on media. After that, we headed back to school. I would have liked to stroll around the mall for a little longer, but I didn't need to buy anything else today, that's for sure.

So now I'm sitting in a chair in the lobby of the Buisness building or whatever this building is called, waiting for noon to strike so my critical thinking class can start. I really don't like this class, but we had a test on Monday and I really wanna know what I got! But yeah, I'm gonna go now cuz I've got to study for a test that we're gonna have today in my world music class. Toodles!

Edit:Class was cancelled! Woo Hoo! That means that I'll have and hour and a half to study for the test instead of the fifteen minutes I thought I might have! Yay!

P.S. We got our midterm grades last night. I've got an a+ in statistics, a b in world music, and c's in critical thinking and my social science class.

hehe... I've been doin a lot of stuff lately and I've been meaning to write about it here, but I've been putting it off. I'm such a horrible procrastinator. ...I've just noticed, if procrastinator is such a bad thing, then why does it begin with 'pro'?

lessee... short summary of what I've been up to:

• Last last Friday: Went job hunting with friend Ashley. Went to friend Bri's house after that and had lunch. Went to work.
  
  
• Last Monday: Hung out with Ashley again at mall.
  
  
• Last Wednesday: Had lunch with Ashley at Applebees. Skipped Critical Thinking class. Went to Hot Topic for first time. Almost bought everything in store. Went to Waldenbooks for first time. Almost bought everything in store again. Had to settle for three manga and book light. Signed up for store card.
  
  
• Last Friday: Hung out with friends. Went to Outback Steakhouse for lunch. Got called into work early. Worked from 3pm-11:30pm. Went to sleep. Work called and asked me to come in early again instead of working usual hours.
  
  
• Last Saturday: Slept for five hours. Worked from 7am-3pm. 'bout died. (notice how I worked for 24 hours, with about a 7-and-a-half hour break in between. @_@ I do a lot for only $5.50 )
  
  
• Last Sunday: Worked from 5am-1pm. 'bout died again. Wished knees and feet would just disappear. Took asprin. Napped. Left for church at 3:30pm.
  
  
• Today: Got test back from Stastics class. Made a 93. Went to county's high school marching band exhibition with friend Megan from church. Saw friends I haven't seen since May when I graduated. Saw old high school's performance. Was very very happy.


So, yeah. That's a somewhat brief overview of what's been goin on the past week or so. During that time, I haven't really been getting on dA. I've been checking my comments and some journals, but haven't really been able to comment on all the deviations I want to comment on. I've got 539 deviations to look at, by the way. haha...

Doot de doo.... Been playing Disgaea recently. I'm thinking of drawing some fan art. Strange fact: Whenever I recruit someone for my army, I tend to name them reguardless of gender. I named my male cleric "Clara" (it's not like the male mages actually look male) and I think I named one of my male fighters (equiped with an axe) Erica. I don't know why. It just seemed to fit.

And I'm a little angry at Neopets right now. Yeah, yeah, Neopets is a little kids site and blah blah blah whatever. I joined a few years ago, took a 1+ year break, then came back solely to play the games. I'm a huge solitare player, and I love being able to play solitare on Neopets because I get points for it n' stuff. But recently, the part of the Neopian world that the solitare game was in is destroyed, so I can't play solitare. And... now... I'm so sad. *sigh* I guess it's just destruct-o-match and pyramids for me now.

Hooray for "The Biggest Loser"! I wasn't able to see it last season, but I'd like to watch it this season. It seems like a really cool show. I'm watching the season premiere. It started an hour ago, and I started typing this a little after it started. Shows you how long it takes for me to write a journal while pausing every few seconds to stare at the TV screen.

Work just sucked today! I work at McDonald's and worked from 5-9:15 tonight (I was supposted to get off at 9:00), which is no big deal, but the coustomers today! Geez, it's like all the village idiots and angry people decided to get food today. at the same freaking time!!! I was working drive-thru all night tonight, not taking orders and money in the first window, just taking orders and making drinks in the last window (someone else was taking money). Most of the people that ordered tonight either had no freaking clue what they wanted to eat, or were extremely rude. I know that fast food restaurants have a history of having rude employees, but I am definately not one of those people. I honestly try to be as nice as I can to everybody who comes into or through McDonald's. Even if you piss me off when you're ordering, I'll still talk all nice and Barbie-like to you. You just won't hear me cuss under my breath at you or get angry at you under my breath. Yeah, it's mean for me to do that, but was it really nice for you to act all rude to me when I didn't do anything to you at all?

And tonight got really scary, too. While taking orders, I noticed that the drive-thru line was at an absolute stand still because nobody was running (putting the food in the bag, then giving it to the person in drive-thru to give to the coustomer). I look at the girl that's presenting (handing the food out of the last window to give to the coustomer) and she immediately says, "I'm not getting anything. Scott (the manager who's supposted to be running) is supposted to be running for me" and crossed her arms angerly. I look over at Scott and he's talking with a coustomer who's complaining about his burger. I just shrug my shoulders and look at the computer and wait for the next car to pull up so they can order.

A few minutes later, while drive-thru is still backed up (but someone else is running), some idiot is honking his horn like crazy. I just roll my eyes and wonder what's up with that guy. I mean, it's kinda obvious, but still... And then this crazy old man comes up to the window and says, "I don't know what I ordered." I figured he had a crappy memory just like I do, and I had just turned back to my computer when the guy who was honking his horn steps out of his truck and starts screaming at the guy in the window. The guy in the window gets out of his truck and screams back at him, and soon, these two guys are just screaming their lungs out at each other. I was really scared. I was afraid that a huge brawl was going to break out, and maybe these guys had guns and they would kill each other and it would all happen in the parking lot in front of the drive-thru window... See how my imagination runs away like that? It really scares me sometimes. And makes things scarier than they really are. Finally, the crazy old man figured out what he ordered and he drives away. Then the next car pulls up, gets his food, and drives away. Then the car with the other screaming man pulls up, gets his food, and drives away.

But!

According to one manager, the car with the second screaming guy followed the car with the first screaming guy. I was actually praying that they wouldn't beat each other up.

...About five minutes later, an ambulance roars by and speeds through the intersection. >.< I really hope nothing serious happened between those two guys. Yeah, the line was slow, but really! It's just food! Come on! Well, if the ambulance didn't involve those two guys, I hope the person it did attend to is all right. And if it did attend to those two guys, I hope they're okay, too. No one needs to get hurt over long lines and food.

*sigh* Well, that's my rant for tonight. I actually feel a little better now. Actually, I think I feel better because halfway through writing this, my boyfriend called and said he was coming over! I like him so much. And I like all you guys, too. My sister and I were just talking about words we don't wanna hear. It started when she was in the kitchen and I was laying on the couch. Dinner smelled really good, so I asked her "What's cooking?" and she told me what it was, but I couldn't hear her clearly because she had her mouth full of cookie. So I mimicked her and she swallowed the cookie and said "Polish sausage." I started laughing and said, "I thought you said 'tootsie'!" Then she said, "Ewwwwww!!!!! That's one of those gross words! .....Tootsie!" and we both started cringing and yelling "EWWWWWW!!!!! and laughing"

Me: "I'm never gonna say that word again!"
Her: "...I know that word you don't like to hear."
Me: "What?"
Her: "Scrumptious!"

Doot de doo... Meant to write here yesterday about my class last night, but I didn't, so I'll do it now.

I had Survey of Social Sciences last night at 6 pm, and when I walked into the classroom, everybody was so much older than me! I was like And I was thinking that maybe I should drop this class and take the standard Goverment or History class. But the teacher seemed kinda nice, and the stuff we were going to learn didn't seem that bad. And when I looked over the book at home last night after class, it looked exactly like my AP Government book I had last year in high school! Phew.... What a relief.... So I think I'll stick with the class, then.

After class I met up with some friends and we just hung out for a bit, then I bought a sweatshirt from the school's bookstore. It's all brown n' cozy n' has the school's name on the front... *^_^* I like it! Then I went home and my boyfriend and I had dinner at Steak n' Shake (which I basically inhaled... I was so hungry! ) and hung out at Wal*Mart. He got one of those static electricty spheres and some candy, and I bought an umbrella. Then he took me home, and I read some stuff for my World Music class.

Right now, I'm hangin' out with my friend Ashley. We're gonna go get some lunch at 11:00 (in about 20 minutes), then go off to our classes. So I'll see ya guys later!

I had my first day of college today. I was really nervous this morning and on the way to college and before my first class and everything... But that nervousness shortly faded and by the end of my last class, I found that I had an awesome day today! ^_^

My first class was at 9:00, so I decided to leave the house at 8:00 and see how traffic faired. I passed two school zones, but only the first one gave me some trouble, and I got to school in 30 minutes. I went to where my first class was, and since I was about 30 minutes early, I just waited outside with some other students 'till the teacher came and opened the classroom. (I was starting to feel nervous waiting with the other students, though, because at lot of them looked like adults and older students, and I'm jsut a freshman!) I know that I've been told to sit in the first row and to avoid the back row, but I didn't feel like sitting that close to the front, so I took a seat in the second row. My first class is 'Intro into Statistics' and I have a feeling that I'm gonna enjoy this class. ^_^ The teacher is really nice and I took statistics the second semester of my senior year of high school, so I know some of this stuff already. But we didn't cover everything in high school, so I do know that I'll be learning a lot of new material. Also, homework in this class won't be turned in on paper. We're going to use a computer program that works with the internet so that we can do our homework on it, and turn it in to our teacher online. ...I bet this method is used all the time, though, and it just amazes me because I've never heard of it before.

That class let out at 9:50, and my next class wasn't until 12:00, so I met up with a friend and we went to the school's bookstore and bought the rest of our books. Then we found some comfy armchairs on the second floor and we chatted while I installed that math program on my laptop. Then we departed from our sitting places and she went to go get lunch and I left for my second class.

It took me about two minutes to walk to the next building where my Critical Thinking class was. I ended up sitting next to two guys that I knew in high school, and made friends with a girl that sat on my right. This class is required for all students going to Clayton State, so there are a lot of these classes offered and a lot of teachers teach it. Unfortunately, we didn't have a teacher for our class. So one of the heads of the department came in and told us a little bit about the class n' stuff. It didn't last very long. He let us out after about 30 minutes. My next class was at 1:30, so I took the extra time to stop by the cafe and got something to eat.

At 12:00, I left the cafe and set out for the Music Education Building for my World Music class, friend in tow. We walked to the building together, because I didn't really know how to get there, but she left as soon as we got to the entrance. I waited outside this classroom too, and when the teacher came and opened the doors, about 40 of us filed into the classroom. This classroom was huge, and it was labeled as a practice room. It was really tall with gigantic windows, and contained a piano, gigantic organ pipes, a xylophone, and probably some other stuff, but I really didn't get a chance to look. I know this class will definately be fun, because the teacher is really easy-going, and doesn't like to see technical terms in our papers, and just wants to know what we think about the music. He also plays the guitar, some piano, and has a pretty good voice.

And after that class, I walked straight to my car, and went home. ^_^ I thought those two school zones might give me some trouble, but they didn't. Tomorrow, I've got one class, but it's an evening class, entitled 'Survey of Social Sciences' or something like that. I wonder how that class will go? Man, am I bushed. I've been staying up really late these past few nights, and I know I've got to stop that so I can get up and go to class on the 22nd.

I had a horrible nightmare late last night/early this morning (one that I've had before, but I had it a really really long time ago) and for some reason I managed to wake myself up, which I'm never able to do on a regular basis, and I'm really glad I did. That was one of the most goriest, horrifying dreams I've ever had. *shiver*

So I woke up around noon, and felt a little better when I relized that my little sister had to go back to school this morning. I had a little breakfast, then headed out of the house. I needed to go to the bank, the gas station, the doctor's office, the college, and maybe the hair salon. :sigh: I hit the bank first, made a deposit and got a withdrawl, then headed for the doctor's office to get a tetanus shot for my college immunization records. Unfortunately, one of the nurses said that they weren't accepting patients until 1 or 1:30, so I went to the gas station and filled up my car. I really want to get red and blonde highlights in my hair, so I went to the salon in the Kroger shopping plaza. But they said that they don't do coloring and told me to try another salon that's in the Publix shopping plaza. So I went there, but there was only one stylist available and he told me to come back at 3:00 when the other stylist comes in. It was about 1:10 at that time, so I went back to the doctor's office. I've never been to the doctor's office by myself before and I didn't have my new insurance card and there was all this trouble of getting the info and I had to fill out all this paperwork... >.< I finally got my stupid tetanus shot and made my way to the college I'm going to start attending in a few weeks. It's a really small campus with only a few buildings, but I managed to get lost anyway. (I'm a lot like Ryoga from 'Ranma 1/2' when it comes to directions) I finallly found the place to drop off my immunization records, and went to the technology center to configure the school's wireless internet on my laptop and to install some programs they want on everyone's laptop (it's required that you have a laptop if you attend the college). I went to orientation a few weeks ago and scheduled my classes, so I wanted to walk around campus and find out exactly where my classes are and how long it would take to walk from class to class. I walked through about half of the buildings, and I still couldn't figure out where my classes were. >.< I'm gonna see if my boyfriend's sister can help me locate the classrooms, since she attends the college.

So I headed back home, picking up some chicken tenders from Zaxby's on the way. When I arrived in the driveway, I saw that my dad and my sister had just gotten home, as they were climbing out of my dad's truck. My sister's first day of school went pretty well, according to her. I rested on the couch for about an hour, then headed off to work. The arm that I got the shot in felt like it had been punched and I couldn't wait to get home so I could stop using it. XP At least I only had to work for three hours. And I'm so tired now that I could probably just lay my head down on my laptop and fall asleep. I hope I can get to bed at a decent time tonight. Then maybe I can wake up a little earlier and go get my hair done tomorrow. Tchuess!

I forget about Deviantart for a few weeks and my message center stuffs jump up to 671. Well, it was 400-something before, so I guess it's not so bad. Though when I had that one-week subscription, I got the number down to 200-something. I've gotta look into getting a subscription again. (as soon as I typed that, I pulled out my debit card and ordered one, and now I have one. *sigh* 18 is such a lovely age, isn't it? )

I weas really excited last week when the new Harry Potter book came out. When I got back home from work on Friday night, I comtemplated going back out at midnight and getting the book somewhere, but I held off 'till Saturday morning. When I got up Saturday morning/afternoon around 11:30, I watched Megaman on KidsWB for about 5 minutes, then got dressed and went up to the local Kroger (a grocery store) and headed straight for the Harry Potter stand. They didn't display the price for the book, but I assumed it was $30 like the others were. But then I noticed a sticker that said "%40 off with Kroger Plus card" so I'm like "All right!" I paid for the book and it ended up just being $19.25! lol (though later my friend William told me he got his book for $16 at Wal*Mart) I was so excited about the book that I finished reading it early-early-Monday morning at 4:30. I read a bit after I got it on Saturday, then I had to go to work from 2-8 or so, then read some in the evening/night, then read steadily all Sunday (but not during church )'till Monday morning. lol I've never finished a book that big so quickly.

Eeeeeee!!!!! *^_^* I am SO HAPPY! So so happy! I needed one for school and I've been eyeing the lovely new Mac laptops for so long now, and I finally got one today! My boyfriend and I went up to the Apple store in Lenox Mall and checked 'em out. I've got a 15-inch PowerBook G4 with a 1.5Ghz Combo drive. It is so awesome! It has Panther installed on it, but it comes with Tiger, too, so I can install that in a bit. :grin: When I first started setting it up, I had trouble with the internet connection, but obviously I finally got that worked out. I'll have to transfer most of the files from my old computer to the laptop, but I don't mind that. I'll still have to draw pics from the old desktop computer, though, since it has the mouse. ...But I can hook up a mouse to the laptop, so mebbee I'll try that out. Okay. I'm gonna go now. I still have some things to check out here! *^_^* Tchuess!

Okay. Bad news first. When I got back home from work after 10:00 last night, I found out that my grandma had just died. Like, I walked into my parent's bedroom to tell them that I got home from work and mom's on the phone with a strange look on her face and says "Grandma Martin (her mom) has just passed away!". I went downstairs to go to my room, told my sister what had happened, and went straight to bed and started crying my eyes out. Man, this sucks. I've never had to experience a death to anyone that closely related to me before. My grandpa (my dad's dad) has passed away, but that was when I was three, and I don't really remember him. (though I swear he once taught me to peel an orange. Dad doesn't believe me, but I think it was him. ) I don't know anything about the funeral yet, but I do know that my sister and my cousin are flying back from Texas to attend it.

Some good news: I now have a week's trial subscription! Yay! When I saw the thumbnails and orginization for all the deviations I have yet to look through, I was like . It is so awesome! I was thinking about getting a subscription before now, but now I think I will since everything looks so cool this way!

Last night, I graduated from Stockbridge High School and I am sooooooooooooo happy! And excited, too. Finally! After 13 years of school, it's all over! No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers' funny looks! (until college, that is) And I know it may sound mean, but I can finally leave some of these annoying kids behind! I don't have to pretend to be polite to some of these people anymore just to avoid conflict. *sigh* Man. I feel great. This past week went kinda fast, too. Monday and Tuesday, all the seniors took their exams. On Wednesday, we had Senior Breakfast (in the cafeteria) and group cap and gown pictures. Thursday was an off day, and Friday was graduation practice in the morning and actual graduation in the evening at 7:00.


On Tuesday, my boyfriend and I went up to Six Flags (Over Georgia) and got our season passes done, then spent a few hours there until we had to leave so I could get back to work on time. Then we went back up to Six Flags on Wednesday and spent the whole day there. Well, actually, it was more like 12-6, but still... lol I got him to ride a few rides that he hadn't ridden before (all 3 water rides, the Freefall, and Dejavu). He wasn't too excited to ride the Freefall and Dejavu, but it was all good in the end. That was the first time I had ridden Dejavu, too, and man! It is such an awesome ride! But the Georgia Scorcher is still my favorite. My older sister and her husband flew in from Texas to come to my graduation, and when I visit them this summer, maybe we'll all go out to Six Flags.


I promised some peeps that I'd put a few piccies up of myself soon, and after I finish typing this, I'll put 'em up.

Hallo, all! Just thought I'd let everyone know that my b-day is this Friday! And I am very happy, indeed. And y'know what's really cool, too? Two things: It's my 18th birthday, and it's also Senior Skip Day! W00t! Two of my teachers actually encouraged us (the senior class) to skip school, so I shall. Ooh! Ooh! Another cool thing about this Friday: it's the (supposedly) accursed unlucky day of Friday the 13th. I've had my b-day on Friday the 13th before, so we'll see how it all turns out.

Dum de dum de dummmmm..... I've got an AP test tomorrow. It's the AP Government and Politics exam and I've gotta be there at 7:00! That means that I'll have to wake up at 6:00 so I can leave by 6:30 (I usually don't wake up until 7:30. People know that teenagers function best in the afternoon, so why don't they have these things later? >:0 ) Nyah. Wish me luck!

Our school had prom on April 22nd at the Westin in Buckhead (in Atlanta). I didn't expect to have a date, but just to go with a couple of friends. Fortunately, I ended up going with my friend (that I've known since elementary school) Mike. I'm so glad he was my date. *^_^* I went with five other people (Mike, Kourtney, Carrington, Ashley, and Ashley). We took pics in front of the fountain in city hall in Stockbridge and drove down to Magianno's (sp?), an Italian restaruant right across from the hotel. Carrington, Ashley, and Kourtney got there just fine, but Mike, Ashley, and I got lost. The food was great! I'm so glad we ate before we got to prom, because all they had there was just a bunch of snacks (good snacks, but not a meal ) The ballroom was pretty big, and I guess the dance floor was decent-sized. There were a little over a hundered people or so. The only bad thing was that the DJ only played rap. T_T At least he played a few slow songs. Actually, Mike and I didn't spend the majority of our time in the ballroom. We ended up talking and hanging out mostly. *^_^* We were all (our little group of six and two other of our friends) supposted to go bowling after prom, but Mike and I were tired and went home, but everyone else still went bowling (I found out later that they had six dollar bowling from about midnight to three am > ).

So yeah. That was prom basically. It really wasn't lame. I thought it was going to be, but it really wasn't. My description probably sounds lame, but that's because I have my mind on something else right now. But anyway..... Mike and I have been spending a lot of time going out to places and spending time together and... we're boyfriend and girlfriend now! *^_^* He's so cool! I really like being with him. I'm looking forward to the next time we can spend time together.

Doot de doo... Got my first graduation present today! It's a.... *drum roll* Mp3 player! It's pretty cool. I've been wanting to get something like this (iiiiiiiiiiiPod........ me=Mac geek ) for a while now. It gave me some trouble at the start, but it's okay now, I guess. What really sucks, though, is that it holds 128 MB, which is about 40-60 songs, but I'm only able to fit 18 on there. WTC? I'm gonna look into this tomorrow. But for now, I think I'm gonna go to bed. Tchuess!

I got up at 4:00 in the moring, got ready to leave, got the rest of my stuff together, then dad drove me to the school at 5:15 or so. The two tour busses were already there, so I stuck my suitcase (yes! I had all my stuff packed into one huge suitcase! >.< ) underneath the bus and got a seat. We were supposted to leave at 6:00, but we ended up leaving around 6:30. It took about five hours (educated guess) to drive down to the Jacksonville port and we watched movies the entire time! I finally got to see The Incredibles and I think I got to see another movie for the first time ever, but I forgot what is was.

So we went through Customs at the port, and I must say that the line moved along quicker than I thought! Looking at the boat from the outside was awesome! It looked HUGE! And when we got inside it, we found it was even bigger! We often got lost. We never really got the chance to really get to know the way around the ship, though. Our room was small, but hey, what do you expect? There are four floors of rooms and about 160+ rooms on each floor (and despite that most of the rooms could hold four people, the ship never felt "crowded" to me )

The service on the ship was awesome! All the crew workers were so nice and curteous, and were ready and willing to help all of us. There was plenty of things to do on the ship. After all, it is called "The Fun Ship" There were shows and games and dances and everything! I was never bored! I sung Karaoke every single night, and I sung about four or five songs a night, too. It was so much fun! *^_^* I loved eating on the ship, too. There was a 24-hour buffet and they always had ice cream and hot chocolate available! Ever tried hot chocolate with chocolate ice cream in it? It is so good! *^_^* And our evening dinners were so elequent.... I honestly felt like a queen. They served 3-course meals (appetizer/soup, a salad, and the main part of the meal) and I got to try a lot of foods I have never had the chance to try before. Sunday night, I had escargo (snails) and it was really good! It tastes just like oysters. ^_^

Thursday was the day everyone boarded the ship, so we all went exploring (aka: got lost ) and shopped a little. Friday, we arrived in Freeport, Bahamas at noon and me and my friends and one of their parents (you had to have a chaperone with you whenever you left the boat) went snorkeling! It was so awesome! We all had snorkel masks, breathing tubes, and flippers on and went exploring around in a little area and there were fish EVERYWHERE! Ooooohhhh... They were so beautiful! Unlike any kind of fish I had ever seen before! And the sea floor was covered in coral! You couldn't even see the sand and the coral was humongous. Some pieces were even bigger than a computer. Or a guitar. Or a large suitcase. After that, our little group went shopping. There were these little booths set up everywhere full of t-shirts, keyrings, straw purses..... TONS of stuff! I didn't buy anything there, though.

Friday night, we left Freeport for Nassau, and arrived there early in the morning (around 7:00 or 8:00) on Saturday. On Nassau, our little group went on the "Party Boat." It was a triple-decker boat that, you guessed it, partied while we went to a little island with some pretty cool activities. My friend Aaron and I really wanted to go parasailing (it was only $45!), but they weren't doing it because it was too windy. ~Dragonpaws
