Heading for the inhouse lols

Going well. Got a pretty cool team whos working rather well. We are currently working together to make a haunted mansion with fairytales that have been twisted and horrified in different ways. Least that was the original idea. Some rooms have turned into more themes. Yet its fitting together somehow.

The outside is looking awesome very tim burton feel. We have a warped hallway, Snow whites forgotten stage room, magical mushroom forest. Plus the room I'm doing with three dead pigs and grime.

It's been a good year. So much has happened. Not exactly everything I hoped had happened but still got quite a bit achieved. It's interesting I set out to achieve to become a decent 3d modeller but ended up enjoying texturing more. I would spend so much time getting a model to look right only to get pissed off with unwrapping. Hate unwrapping. Manual unwrapping that is. It was big taboo to do automatic.

Made a couple of friends but in general there's not all that many people in the class I highly respect. They are all decent people and with most things I prefer others over the main body. Well I have fully changed my front page about. I seen an example over at :devbudgie:'s page. Which I only found out about via ImagineFX. So I spent the time and effort and found out how to do it. Those years of multimedia payed off haha. Well kinda I need to adjust the small problem with my image not being quite long enough :D

I'm still here........somewhere
So I've finished University now, graduate early May. But this year I'm studying at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment and its gonna be awesome to get the 3D apsect back into my work. Hopefully even combine the two.

Downside is its in the major city and I have to commute for it, costing abit of money and its an early start but all worth it so far ^_^ I'm learning the Maya from scratch and working our way up through making a game  level and making a character animation short. Which I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do.

I'm still floating around. I think I've given up thanking people for :+fav:'s on the Black Dream Skin. Roughly 20-30 a day gets tiring after awhile. Still surprised people like that one so much. There are many better/ proper layouts around and mine is in the top 12. Which is pretty cool though. Thank you you 770 odd people who have :+fav:ed it now. The download counter is about x4 the amount so at least there's some good semartians out there lol

Well its been ages again since I made a new journal. So here's one listing some of the highlights. Came back on the first day to find total chaos. Petition signs up people arguing and overall low across the board. The University went through a review. Like most reviews things get frowned upon, talked about and deleted.

In this case budget cuts saw the end of the sessional teachers. Well not really the end but reduced to an inch of their careers; a drop from like 15 hours a week to roughly 3. Not directly a student issue but sad. After rushing and trying to finish as many projects as I could before the deadline. I found out it wasn't a necessity. Ugh typical. It's not that they don't want to see the full projects. Well its mid semester review time and I have lots to do. Guess that's what usually happens anyway; the things get neglected all unionize at the end of semester and ALL need to be completed. Not saying that I haven't been doing work. It's just theres a few projects I didn't see the point and walked away from them.

Beta Testing is fun
Must say I like the whole new liquid layout upgrades that are going on here. Seems to be running smoothly too. With the addition of making your own boxes and small slideshow windows; it's probably going to make my journals propose... just a journal lol. No features or unnessessary junk like I usually have hehe.

And also got Distinctions for Studio (Ceramics / Intermedia) and Distinction for Contemporary. Which is great considering I only barely passed in the first semester for that class lol

I am keeping up with most things. There's just some bits that slide and get left out of my time-management. I personally rather follow my goals. Yes I do have a few even though I don't believe in the ultimate aspiration of being successful. Where does that lead? The way I see it if you become successful you lose the time for the little things that are just more worthwhile. So I rather just keep moving along doing my best and seeing where it takes me. Well I've moved to Ballarat; Victoria (Australia)! Successfully! There were problems! But it's all good! lol... No the plan was I was hitching a ride with the removal's/courier. However they didn't try to book me a cabin until 4 days before departure.Surprisingly the boat was fully booked. (This is a freight boat by the way, and the not the passenger liner (Spirit of Tas)) It was a quick phonecall to my grandfather to get me a plane ticket by the Sunday! Which he did. So it was all good again!

I'm fully finished with TAFE now and fluffing around basically. I got a letter from the University of Ballarat and they have approved of my portfolio. So its a yes from the arts department. Now I just have to sit and wait for the paper work and full proper acceptance. Hopefully I that goes smoothly.

Worked out the source of my dooms has been coming from lack of sleep, or disturbed sleep. My weekly lifecycle does not change much from the week beforehand. Its repetitive and rather boring.

But like I've always said I do like my work and the things I do for others. Because what else is there? Zip-nadda.

The main issue I was having, was going home after school/TAFE eating the evening meal and practially passing-out/falling asleep on my couch at roughly 8pm. Wake up at 1am and be completely dazed/tranced wondering where the hell time went. Might have noticed the last 5 submissions are photos I took on Saturday, when I went tracking down into the gorge. I ended up taking about 80 odd photos. Some more I'll submit over the next few days even weeks.
However there's a good portion that I took to use for manipulations. I'm debating whether or not to open up a form of stock account or if I should just save them to my computer and just keep them for me. Opinions?

I was walking into TAFE/School this morning and the sky went all dark, then it started Lightening and Thundering. It was wicked!!! The downfall to it all was I didnt have my camera on me. But I made it safely. It was rather interesting before the lightening and Thunder started though. The whole sky and atmosphere took on a Sephia tint. I also worked more harder on blending the edges of the banners in to make it look more artistic. Ive seen some really good styles around that look really cool. Its the best metaphor I can think of to describe the last week. As you all know I have a Saturday morning class. So I dont really get to rest much that day, I only really get Sundays off.

The week was pretty average... Wait.. Below average, we recieved a tone of stock images we can use for the dinosaur egg project and we had the task to go through it all and see what we wanted. Downfall is thats all we had planned for the week, which kinda sucked. It doesnt take 3 classes to go through 3 cds of files. So we had alot of free time.

Its kinda funny in a way. The last few weeks here have been burning hot. Just all of a sudden our temperature went from tolerable to scourching. Well another week is over and I feel more tired than I did at the start of the week. :dance: yay I finally got myself a digital camera, fully equipped with SLR technology, 55mm Lens and whatever else it has :giggle: Not a bad way to spend a grand. Works really well. Havent really taken any exciting pictures yet. It was raining all afternoon yesterday so that stuffed me plans, but I have tones from inside my house when I was testing around with the settings :paranoid:. Otherwise I'll post some soon.
But damn my bag is starting to get heavier. Camera, Portable HD, along with my sketch/Note Books. Going to keep me fit I guess.

Yep you guess it I have learn a new Journal Style. Feel like a complete idiot though, doing a webdesign course and all. Wasn't able to fully work out how to use deviantarts CSS system. Now I have full understanding and picked up a few new tricks.
Like the column down the right hand side. Pretty spiffy idea that one. I've stuffed up my header and footer images though, I'll fix them up tomorrow or Monday.

Not sure why its such an exciting thing to hit, some are that popular they hit it in there first month. But still its good to know people like to view and come back to view my progressing artwork. Well mainly 3d and Flash animation.

I'm currently making a continuation of Saviour Destroyer Series that are currently available to see in my gallery.
But before that will happen I'm doing "upgrades" on all my characters, giving them more detial, more prominant features. My portioning is really bad, but I like how the first two characters: Amber and Tiffany. Have turned out. I hope I can get part 3 underway within the next few months. But its just a hope, so dont get your hopes up lol
