I just have to get through finals and then I'm taking a vacation back east to my hometown. So I put up a Zelda picture I finished today as well as some RP characters I drew a month ago. I'm sure there's more stuff on the way so keep an eye out if you care.

Yep, I'm back at school, and feeling pretty good. I like my classes and teachers better than last year for sure, mostly 'cause this time I got to pick them. I'd say the workload is slightly lighter than last semester, and the times are much better so I'll actually make it to all my classes. I don't really have much to say now that I think about it, I just figured I should probably put something here every now and then. Depending on how busy I am I'll try to get some new art up here, I know I always say that but I've been in the mood to start drawing again. All in all I'd say I'm glad to be back, hopefully this semester will be better than the last one (not that it was too horrible). In more current news, I was walking someone back to their dorm and these two assholes ran up behind us and hit us with water balloons. What the hell? It's cold out, that's not cool. What was funny when I got back and told Dave about it he was watching a special on the assassination of JFK and I found I was using some similar terminology. Good times, but I'm wet.

Sooo it's Christmas, and I've been home for a little over a week. I still have about three weeks left. Since my last entry things have been mostly good, but not great either. I just took a shower in an attempt to clear my head of all that's been bothering me lately. Towards the end of school a good portion of the friends I live with (and a good portion of those I don't) seemed to be finding a new reason every day to dislike me and tell me how much I suck. It's still unclear whether or not they had a valid arguement, but nobody's ever complained about the things they did before, so I don't know if I changed or if it's a problem with them. I've chalked it up to us just having to live near each other and getting sick of everyone, which is bound to happen with anyone you live with (i.e. siblings). So I'm hoping it's that, and not that it'll continue next semester, especially since I'm gonna be living with one of them. If that's the case, then I guess I'll just be down a few friends, but it's not as though nobody up there appreciates me. I can just hang out with those that do or by myself (either suits me fine). I can't wait to get an apartment next year, preferably with Pam (although Val expressed interest too). For one I get along better with girls, but the big one is that I'll have my own room that I can just close the door to. It's not that I hated that my room was the hotspot that everyone always came to, but I'm a guy who appreciates his privacy and solitude and I wasn't getting nearly enough of that. In short, I have high hopes for next semester, but higher hopes for next year.

But that's not all for college woes. I got a letter today and it turns out I ended up getting worse grades than I thought I did. I don't want to go into the upsetting details but needless to say I'm unhappy with myself. I don't know if I'll need to retake anything but it's going to be massively depressing if I do. I just need to do better. I need to apply myself more and get more of the work done on time. This was a big downer to a day that was otherwise happy. *sigh* I suck. Anyway, like I said the rest of Christmas was good. My brothers got me Serenity and 40-Year-Old Virgin on DVD, and I got a little money from my mom. Meanwhile my brothers got a drum set and an electric guitar, it was nuts. I'm just glad I won't be here too long to have to hear them "playing" every day. All in all one of the better Christmases...Christmass...Christmasi of recent memory.

The other day I went bowling till 2AM with Colin, Angie, and Kyle. After that Colin and I hung out at the Wyomissing Diner till 4:30, I got home at 5 and was up till 6:30 catching up on "24" episodes I had missed (The new season on DVD rocks by the way, can't wait to finally watch the show on tv for once in January). I really missed those guys a lot and I look forward to hanging out with them and some others this coming week. I always thought I'd never miss home after I was at school and that's true to a point, I mean this place is okay but I really don't prefer to be here. But all the same there are just a couple of people that I really love and who are gonna make coming home every now and then worth it.

So where am I right now? Well, I don't know, I'm torn I guess. There's a lot of good going on in my life, more than there has been in a very long time. There's also some shitty things that I'm not quite sure about how they'll pan out, I guess we'll have to see. I know this is pretty much true of life at all times in one way or another, but since I don't have a whole lot to do while I'm home I resort to self-contemplation. I think I'm gonna stop here, I got all my stuff out there and now I'm gonna try to find a way to deal a little at a time. I know this wasn't as fun an entry as usual, and I know I haven't had a lot of art up lately either, I think both will be remedied next time. I think. Seeya.

...and not much to report. I've really let this thing gather dust, but I haven't really done much art lately that's worth putting up here. If something interesting had happened I wouldn't have let this go for over a month, but I got nothing. I got back from spending Thanksgiving break at Chris' house yesterday. It was a pretty fun and relaxing time, I of course didn't get any work done and just played Mario Kart DS and watched Seinfeld the whole time. On Black Friday I got a 160GB external hard drive at Best Buy for half price, so when I got back to school I stuffed it with random animes and cartoons I'd been meaning to download. Anime's really come back into my life lately, first Full Metal Alchemist and Champloo and now all the old favs like EVA, Bebop, and Outlaw Star. I heard from a handfull of friends from home over break asking where I was, I'm now looking forward to Winter break so I can finally see all of them. I've also been missing Allie, who I hear from occasionally online but little more than that. It's very disappointing, we're both just so busy with school and other stuff that we no longer have time for each other, and as best friends that really shouldn't happen. *sigh* Who knows what'll happen, hopefully I can hang out with her over the break too.

So what else? I scheduled my classes for next semester, I have Psychology, Drawing 2, Philosophy, 3D Design, and Wellness/Walking. Should be fun, my Drawing 2 teacher is my current 2D Design teacher, and my Psych teacher is supposed to be pretty amusing. In my current classes I'm doing well enough, there's only 3 weeks left before break so I have to get my ass in gear to get my grades as high as possible. Next semester I'm switching roommates since Dave is more or less getting kicked out by his asshole of a roommate and my current roommate is annoying as hell. Dave's gonna be moving in here and all we'll really be losing is a microwave, a PS2, and a carpet. There's actually a couple people that are switching roommates, so it's not like anybody will be left without a place to live. I think that's all the news I can think to report, hopefully I'll have some art to put up here soon. Frank, Colin, Chris and I formed a webcomic group called "Concussion Comics" to host our newly-created work. Without giving too much away I'll just say my new comic is ridiculously stupid and action-packed, I can't wait to show you guys how insanely dumb it is. And with that, I'll see you folks later...

Saw Doom last night and that was easily the best line. In fact all The Rock's lines with fuck in them were pretty genius, or at least well-delivered. That and the FPS sequence really made the movie, it's a nice summer popcorn flick that was a few months late, my only gripe is it didn't have enough monsters from the games and they didn't follow the whole "demons from a portal to hell" thing. Otherwise, good flick (muthafucka.). So what else is new? Well my birthday was on Wednesday, the big one-niner. Everyone here was really nice to me all day and made me feel loved. I used some money from my family to buy a new badass fridge from Wal-mart and gave my old one to Jack (who, by the way, has a disgustingly cute nephew who visited recently). I intended to have a party this weekend and Allie might have even come down but both of those things fell through. It wasn't my greatest birthday ever but it was by no means bad or not enjoyable. So what else has been occupying my time that should be spent doing homework? Until recently Full Metal Alchemist, which is right up there with EVA and Bebop as greatest anime evar. Also Ultimate Spider-man and The Sims 2 have been providing ample distraction. Sadly WoW and FF9 have been neglected lately, I should really get back to them. I got my midterm grades recently which don't really mean anything for most classes since most of the points haven't become available yet, but I'm doing very well in all of my classes but one. I think that's about it as for what's going on with me, here's a little quiz I stole from Allie to close up:

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

I'd say this nailed me fairly well aside from not knowing what job I want and not being calm and still for very long. Good job internet quiz! K that's all I got, seeya when I seeya. Hopefully next time I'll have some art (maybe FMA-related, the big muscley pink sparkles variety) and maybe I'll even be on my way with my music video director career (if you can't tell I'm trying to become Allie). Bye.

Gotta love Bill Maher. So, what's been going on with me lately? Well, I have a ton of homework to do which I'm not gonna let get the better of me this weekend. There's a big 10 hour project for my Drawing midterm, plus a couple other projects to finish for the midterm critique. Then there's design studies for the next 2D design project and 10 one and a half page journals for Art History due Tuesday. Awesome. So those are my obligations, these are my distractions: I've been watching Veronica Mars (really interesting so far), Firefly (I already watched Zach's copy before seeing Serenity but I felt the show was worth owning for myself, I'm really just watching the commentaries now), and Full Metal Alchemist (which along with Samurai Champloo and Naruto has maybe cured my jaded view on anime). There's also a couple games and comics that have been nabbing my homework time, so I must remain vigilant. Needless to say my attention will be divided between these distractions and obligations this weekend.

What else? I think I can confidently say that everything between Pam and I is finally square. It went to the extreme turning point and very nearly fell apart, but she explained some things to me and apologized for a lot more things and I decided to give her one more chance. I'm glad though, because I wouldn't have liked having to just cut her out of everything like I was planning to. But it's really weird now, these past couple days at least. I find myself being somewhat wary and apprehensive at times when she's nice to me or asks me to hang out. It sounds stupid but I'm just not used to her treating me like this or being genuine with me, I'm sure I'll get used to it in time though.

I made a couple other friends (mostly through Facebook) who are really cool and who I hope to get to know better. I think other than that I've got nothing else to report. Once I get these damn projects done I'll do more art for here. Seeya then.

...or maybe I'm just lazy. So what's new with me? Not too much. Classes are going well enough, nothing really interesting to note. I've gotten back into playing WoW after a couple-week dry spell when I first moved here. The only thing that got me back in was starting a new character on a new server with all my friends here. So now we all hang out together but in our separate rooms, awesome. Yesterday I went to the mall with Chris, Pam, and Dan (it just occured to me how many of my friends here have single syllable names) to buy fun things. I got Donkey Konga 2 with another set of bongos, Nintendogs, some comics, a t-shirt, and Harvey Birdman on DVD. Good stuff. So we returned and hung out a bit, everyone went out to a frat party but I stayed in. I'll end up going to one of those things eventually but I still don't intend to drink. After they left Aubrey and her boyfriend came over and we watched Advent Children (2nd time for me within 24 hours).
Lemme take a moment to talk about the genius work of art that is Advent Children. Holy shit. Wow. What a great movie. They fucking nailed it, it's everything a FF movie should be. I loved pretty much everything about it. It's so good it makes me use short choppy sentences. Yeah.
So after that they went home and I went back to my hobby of drawing big pictures on our door's dry erase board, after which I fell asleep to Harvey Birdman. I don't know what I'll be doing this weekend, Ohio's going home so I'll the place to myself which is great. I have no problems with Ohio but I'm a guy who enjoys his solitude. Maybe I'll get on track with getting some new art up here, I've drawn stuff I've just been too lazy/busy/lazy again to try out my scanner. Ah well, we'll see what happens. Oh, and I was on Adam Carolla last Thursday, I never got around to mentioning it here. It was pretty sweet though, now I'm just waiting for Hollywood to call. Seeya later!

It's probably best that you don't get that in-joke. Anyway, school's going well. The first week of classes were successful, no lateness or getting lost or anything. The art classes are pretty intense, they're 3 hours of just drawing but I think some of my friends who actually went to art school have much longer ones so I shouldn't moan. In Drawing 1 they're completely tearing down everyone's skill foundation and reteaching it from the ground up to get everyone on the same page. That's cool with me but it's like learning to draw all over again. The method is based on doing gesture drawing first to get a more accurate depiction of spacial relationships as well as create a greater sense of unity in the scene as a whole. I can see it working out with practice.
Let's see, aside from Drawing how are my other classes? Societal Issues is okay, really boring though. Right now it's just a glorified geography class but hopefully the "issues" part will pick up in weeks to come, that's what interested me in the class. The teacher is from Ethiopia so he's kinda hard to understand, and like I said it's taught in a fairly boring manner. Art History's pretty cool, but again also kinda boring. I loved it last year in Humanities, which I know btw is going to help me greatly with the stuff in this class since it's the same thing. The teacher sorta looks and definitely sounds like Blue Collar comedian Ron White, so there's no chance of me taking him seriously. Advanced Writing's pretty cool, I like the teacher and where it seems the class is heading. We work in front of computers and already did our first "writing day" on Thursday. 2D Design is kinda interesting, the teacher's a little wormy guy who has a great love of both repeating himself and also explaining very basic concepts in great detail. I'm talking diagraming what a rubber cement bottle looks like and what a frame is. I'm waiting for "how to use a pencil" coming soon. Our first project is drawing the outlines of three small objects from multiple angles, arranging them on a page, then filling the shapes in black. Awesome. I chose a little replica One Ring, a little Spiderman cellphone charm, and like a moron the intentially-phallic Mr.Zuccini-Head toy that came with my Peter Griffin toy. So the goal now is to find an angle from which the shape doesn't look like a giant wang with two balls.
So that's been class, but resident life has been good too. Like I'd said I met a lot of awesome people who live near me. There's Josh and Dave in one room, Chris and Jon in another, then Nate and Dan and Tyler and Jack. Colin is a kid who lives in Rose Hall who's in all of my classes so we became friends by default, but he's still cool. I spoke to Angela (girl I met at orientation) briefly through email, we've yet to hang out though. Pam lives in Earp but she's here all the time anyway. Oh, and of course there's also Nikki, she's this cute little girl who lives on my floor that I met through Facebook, she's a rare burpy and farty type girl, and she's got lots of spunk. She's crazy. So yeah, that's more or less the group I'm dealing with. Josh is a sophomore who's probably closest in interests and personality to me, and he gets the most of my jokes like Chris from back home. Chris from up here is an awesome guy, probably the craziest sense of humor in the group but he's got a lot of heart, I can see myself getting pretty close with him. Dave is a really funny kid who can also be a real asshole, then it dawned on me a couple days ago as to what exactly was going on. This kid is exactly like Angie from home. Yes that's right, Angie, he's exactly like you. Not so much your interests but the personality likeness is uncanny. He's all like "bwahahaha! I am the king! you suck!", insanely high personal standards, unique sense of humor, the list goes on. I'd introduce them but I fear they would destroy each other ala Highlander once they became aware of the other's existence, hey there can be only one. So I'm finding myself clashing with him from time to time much the way Angie and I did when we were first getting to know each other. It's like two strong intellects who have completely divergent perspectives, so I'm back in highschool. All I can hope is that he and I can get to the level Angie and I have where there's a grudging respect, plus I can't speak for her feelings on me but I really care for her. The rest of the guys are good too, Dan seems nice, Tyler's well-meaning, Nate's a win, Jack's cool and Jon's a serial killer.
I can't say I'm too homesick. I miss jawing with my brothers and Chris but that's really it. But Ohio (my roommate Glenn) here is still asleep at 2PM so it's like my brothers never left. We were up till 4AM last night, much craziness. So far this weekend has been very boring, over half the group (The Get-Along Gang as it's affectionately referred to by Harrison, one of the RAs) went back home sinc...

I also got to be friends with a bunch of fellow nerds on my end of the floor. They're all awesome and never miss a beat in our geeky conversations. We share all our stuff and basically live in each other's rooms. Classes have been good too, although I need to buy like $200 worth of art supplies for my classes in addition to my books.
Just a recap for all 2 of you who read this:

-Got all my school shopping done, now I just have to pack up what I'm bringing from my room. We're leaving at like 4AM on Saturday, fun fun fun. In truth I am really excited to go, it's gonna be hellish right up to the last minute.

-Hung out with Chris and Danny (for probably the last time in awhile) today. We shopped around, saw The 40-Year-Old Virgin (SEE IT. It dares to be as good as the mighty Anchorman) and helped Danny pick up his mom's vacuum cleaner from Sears. After which we were supposed to go bowling but Danny dropped out, then there were no lanes. Chris and I decided to stop off for italian ice at Rita's and we had a bit of a car accident. We were pulling into a space and an SUV two spaces away backed up across the empty spaces and ran into Chris' door. We were looking at it backing up like "hey...hey!....HEY!!!" *crash* It dented the door but that's about it, Chris and the lady driving the SUV exchanged insurance info and I treated Chris to his italian ice since he was kinda shaken up. Quite a day.

-I joined up on Facebook 'cause I apparently give into peer pressure more than I thought. It's actually been pretty cool. Tonight I met this girl Pam who's going to Edinboro with me. Man she's awesome, we seem to have pretty much everything in common. I really look forward to hanging out with her.

-Ummm....yeah, I think that's about it. I'm boring. But hey I'm also happy and looking forward to school. This place'll actually have new drawings once I hook up my scanner, as well as somewhat more insteresting information I'm guessing. Can't wait.

So yesterday I went to take my driver's license test and passed! Yep, and only 2 1/2 years late (I'm a late bloomer, I'm also looking forward to this puberty thing I keep hearing about). Anyway, yeah, I went in the morning with my teacher and got a perfect score on the test. I gotta say it feels pretty good to have this accomplishment even though I'm not really gonna get to use it much once I'm in school. Last night I drove out and picked Chris up for once instead of vice versa. I got one of those tape deck adapters that you can plug into a CD player or iPod to play them in the car, I'd been meaning to get one and figured it'll come in handy now. After that we struggled to find something new to do and eventually decided on bowling. But first I had to swing towards home and pick my brother up from work and take him home, by the time we got back to the alley there was only 20 minutes before they closed so it was a bust. Sooo Saturday after I finish shopping for school/dorm stuff we're gonna try bowling again as well as see The 40-year-old Virgin and hit the comedy club at the Sheraton. Should be fun. I guess that's all that's going on with me, the new computer's working out great and World of Warcraft has once again consumed me. Moving in next Saturday can't come soon enough.

That's right, coming to you live from in front of my brand new laptop, the result of many long hours of sub-making this summer. Everything's all set up, I have all my programs and music and whatnot and I'm loving this thing. In other news, absolutely nothing. I barely work anymore, partly 'cause I've taken days off for half of August before my last day (Aug. 17th) and partly 'cause I give away my hours whenever someone even hints at wanting them. Hey, my summer goal was to save up enough money for a new laptop and that just arrived today so I don't feel much like working now. I've got a lot of stuff to get together for college so that's one way to justify it. Another more accurate, less justifiable reason is that World of Warcraft has consumed my life. I'd been wanting to play this game for months and I finally got around to it. I played for 10 days on a guest pass from Danny and now I'm in limbo between that and paying for it myself. I'm thinking about using a gamecard since I don't think Danny's CD key will work. But rest assured I'll be back to working on Wyrmbeak the level 19 Night Elf Hunter very shortly. Speaking of never getting laid, while setting up the lappy today I'm watching all three LOTR movies in a row, awesome. I think that's it for now, just wanted to rave about my new computer. Flashfest art show this Saturday, Driver's test next Thursday, moving into Edinboro Aug. 27th. Neat.

So my mom got a new computer last night. This is an event that should have happened 3-4 years ago but better later than never. It's an emachine (not my favorite brand to say the least) but nearly any computer is a massive upgrade compared to our old one (which was like 8 years old). I hooked it up this morning and it worked well, except for the internet. I had moved the wireless card from the old computer to the new one and XP recognized the router, but it needed a WEP code. This is about where I get in over my head when it comes to networking, which I just flat out don't know much about. I'm pretty skilled with computers but just not networking, never learned. So I went to the computer in my room to try to access the router controls. After cracking the pw to get into windows (which I'd forgotten) then reinstalling the NIC card and the router, I got to the controls. And, miraculously, I set it up properly and got net access going on our new comp! I know it's a very elementary thing to do, but I'd never accomplished it before. You can't imagine how pleased with myself I was. So then I got this comp up to speed with the necessary programs and saved all my music as a bonus. See, a few days ago Pest Patrol deleted Limewire and along with it all the music I'd gotten from it. And when I tried to restore the files I somehow didn't have enough disk space even though the same amount of space had just freed up. Whatever, so I was pissed, but I copied all the music from my iPod over to the new comp and now I'm happy. All in all, a good day. Things going right and working properly is such an insanely refreshing change for me, but I welcome it. Can't wait to get my new laptop, should be happening within a week or so. And then new art!

Check out the nifty new journal features, now I don't have to type that stuff in myself. Too bad today's my last day to use 'em. Oh well.

Anyway, my life's been as thrilling as ever. Aside from the random hang out with Chris or whoever else to see a movie I've done nothing but work a lot, play videogames (Animal Crossing and X-men Legends), and read Harry Potter. I saw Fantastic Four and Charlie and the Chocolate factory, both really good. I started reading HP on Monday and finished last night, very good read. I don't feel like doing a big review, but I'd say this and Book 5 are tied for best. I really dug the romantic beats in this one, they really paid off.

Okay, what else? I'm sure this thing will pick up once I get to college. I'll have lots of new art as well as actual interesting events to talk about here. I'm only writing now 'cause I feel some moronic obligation to check in. On August 13th that hippie shop Flashbacks is having an art show/concert that've been asked to participate in. Should be fun.

Y'know, if something interesting had happened I would have posted about it but my summer has been pretty mundane post-orientation. But here goes anyway:

-I've been working a lot which is good for the cash money I'll recieve. I worked pretty much every day till Wednesday and now I have a string of days off till Monday.

-4th of July was fun, I had a little BBQ with Chris and my mom 'cause my brothers were in parts unknown. We did fireworks after and Chris and I threw snappers at each other. Also of note was my method of grilling which hasn't been seen since last summer. Here's the recipe for you guys at home: 1 bag self-lighting charcoal briquettes (the kind pre-soaked in lighter fluid), 1 can lighter fluid (the whole thing), meat of some kind, and flame. Combine those things and you'll have Matt's 5-minute-or-less burgers, which actually taste really good.

-When I haven't been working I've mostly been watching DVDs. I recently got the seasons of Futurama and Aqua Teen that'd I'd been missing and those have been enough to occupy my free time (which there hasn't been much of till lately).

-This weekend I'm going to NJ to see the family. Should be fun, hopefullyI can see Fantastic Four too. I'm not a huge fan of the comics but the movie looks pretty cool. Oh and that reminds me I saw War of The Worlds the other day, and that kicked major ass.

I'm thinking that's all for now, I'll check in again when enough boring things pile up so that it makes it seem like one semi-interesting thing. Seeya whenever that'll be.

I'll make it quick 'cause I don't feel like going into detail (I'm aware I say stuff like that a lot and then end up writing several pages but I mean it this time)

-Didn't do much post-senior week. Worked a lot but that's about it.

-Thursday to Saturday I was at my orientation at Edinboro. It went really well, I didn't make as many new friends as I'd like (not for lack of trying, people just didn't seem to want to be friendly in return). I did meet one girl Angela who was really cool, I hope we can hang out when school starts. The campus was really great and easy to get around (last time I saw it it was buried in snow). I got my ID card, opened a new bank account, got my email and network ID and got my schedule. I have Societal Issues, 2D Design, Drawing I, Advanced Writing, and Intro Art History. Should be lots of fun. Now it actually feels like I'm going to the school instead of just having been accepted there so now I really just want to get there. The next couple months seem pointless aside from earning money for my laptop.

-Kirby Canvas Curse is awesome and fun and very challenging.

-When I do get that laptop (which is now a Gateway instead of a Dell) it'll come with a printer/scanner so I can actually start putting more art up here instead of using it as a blog with a gallery.

-And speaking of art I have to finish those three drawings for the Future Illustrators of America scholarship, the copies have to be postmarked by the 30th >_<;;

-I'm really sick. On Wednesday I woke up feeling incredibly sore and weak all over. Thursday that started going away but my left ear started hurting. On Friday my left eye was all leaky in addition to my ear hurting more. Saturday the ear stuff went away until late that night when I could barely hear anything out of it and I started getting a bad cough. Now it's pretty much the same thing, I'm half deaf and something's clogging my throat. Awesome.

I think that's everything, I shall report back if there's more. I hope I feel well enough this evening to hang out with Bri like I'm supposed to.

Didja miss me? I had a really great vacation, the past week has been a total blur so I'm not exactly sure what happened on what days but here's a rundown:

The drive down went well, I was with Angie and Kyle following Matt, Brian, and Andrew who were following Megan and Sarah. We lost the girls but still made it down at the same time. Our hotel was right on the beach and was called the "Seabonay", which we quickly retitled "Seaboner". The place wasn't awful, but for as much as we paid it could have been nicer. Also, whenever we looked outside we saw the massive hotel tower right next door which put our little place in perspective. So we get there and chill out till 3 (check in time). Everyone pays the rest of the cost then they spring a $50 safety deposit on us (which we'd get back if we didn't trash the room) that kills Andrew, Matt, and my funds. I have the luxury of being able to get more cash from ATMs but they don't. We get to our crummy little rooms and figure out the beds. First room has Sarah (Megan's friend) in one bed, Brian and Megan in the other. Our room has Angie and Kyle in one bed, me and whoever else (usually Matt) in the other, Andrew on the floor. This really only applied to the first night, as every night after only me, Angie, Kyle, Megan, and Sarah kept those arrangements. The rest (and the guests we'd have) either slept at other people's hotels or in opposite rooms. Oh well, I had a bed every night so I was happy.

The first chunk of the week mostly had Angie, Kyle and I hanging out together trying to find fun (cheap) things to do and good (cheap) food to eat. Everyone else just sorta did their own thing, I watched the hilarious movie awards that night. The second day I got my PS1 hooked up and that was a big hit, now everyone was playing Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Marvel vs Capcom. Kyle started (and finished) a game in Resident Evil 3 and Angie started one in Final Fantasy Tactics. I bought some cheap sandals (that hurt my feet after prolonged use) and we all got groceries (cereal, bread, milk, etc.). The majority of the time there was either spent at the beach, the pool, the boardwalk, or the room. The beach was great, although the water was FREEZING. I was the only one willing to stay in more than a couple minutes. After about 20 minutes the freezing numbness faded to warm numbness, I couldn't feel anything below my neck and the only reason I knew I still had balls was the fact that I dove into that water in the first place. I loved riding the waves though, Mark (who was staying the next street over at the Sea Cove) and his roommates and I were doing so for almost an hour. Also, they were many attractive wimmens on the beach.

Kyle and Angie (who was actually really great and fun to be around 95% of the time) and I ate at a decently priced Mexican place, played Medieval-themed minigolf (Kyle won, Angie and I tied), and wandered up and down the strip of stores on Philadelphia Ave. I made many trips to the nearby 7-11, where I was constantly refilling my slurpee cup for "free", I only had to pay for the last refill I got. The first morning there someone got busted at our hotel for alcohol, saw him getting cuffed and everything. A day or so later another guy tried to run drunkenly through the dunes to escape police, took him away in an ambulance 'cause his legs were all cut up. On the weekend Megan (Rudy) and Annabelle came to visit and stayed till Monday. They were a fun bunch, a little flirtation between Megan and I but she smokes (tobacco and pot) and drinks so that's a major turn-off. Well, we'll see what happens now that I'm back. Around this time in the week I decided to explore the phenomenon of beads. Andrew had found a pair and got a nice flash from our neighbors. Our neighbors had moved into the two rooms next to ours on Saturday. There were about 10 attractive girls from Pittsburgh who were friendly with us (very friendly). So I got six strings of beads and all I'll say is that I don't have them anymore but I do have some great memories on my disposable camera. The whole bead thing baffles me, the things have no monatary value and yet girls will completely degrade themselves for a pair. Beautiful, it's like "I'm a drunken slut with loose morals and if you don't believe me here's a trophy to prove it!". But hey, I wasn't above taking advantage of that setiment. Hee hee.

So on the weekend we hit the boardwalk, went to a Colonial-themed buffet (which, of all the Colonial-themed buffets I've been to was easily one of the best) and I bought a kite. It was awesome, and I wasn't half bad at flying it either. Sadly towards the end of the week I lost the little plastic stick you put in it so it stays spread, so now it's kinda useless till I can find a replacement. On the way back home we tried out terrible pick-up lines on various girls. Mine went over pretty well with the group, I strutte...

Sorry for lack of updates, but I just haven't had much to say. Which is odd 'cause a lot's happened. Namely me graduating. Wednesday till Friday was long boring practice, and Saturday was the big day. Around 2 my family and I got Red Lobster. So delicious. I got to school at 5, hung out in a classroom till 5:45 when we put our gowns on. We filed in, sat down, listened to speeches that started good and winded down to crap by the last speaker. Then we got our diplomas, shake hands, smile for the camera, walk back to your seat. The thing was over a little after 8, mercifully, as it was very hot and uncomfortable in a gym with several hundred people while wearing a t-shirt, dress shirt, khakis, a gown, and goofy-ass cap. Without the cap I looked like Harry Potter, and Chris even more so because of his hair and glasses. I was tempted to carve a lightning bolt scar in his forehead but I'm always tempted to do that. So after changing we went out to the lobby and I hugged/shook hands/patted backs/etc. with everyone I wouldn't be seeing much anymore. It kinda hit me then that as cool as it was to be done with highschool I was gonna miss a lot of these people. Sure not all of them, not most of them, but the absense of the ones that were my friends or were nice to me will defintely be felt. I'll keep in touch with Chris and the other couple I'm close with but I doubt so with the others. Kinda sad.

Other than those thoughts the fact that I graduated still hasn't hit me. The day after I just sat around all day watching dvds, etc. like any other Sunday. Today was more or less the same, but I had work at 4. I was supposed to take the bus for the first time to the mall to see if everything would work out okay, but on my way to the bus stop Danny drove by and who can resist him? Several women, but that's besides the point. So he dropped me off at the mall and I was left with three or so hours to kill. After playing around in the arcade (where I got several high scores) I ran into Erin, Colin, and Brad. Colin was going to be interviewed for a job at Subway around when I started at 4. We went back to the arcade and the power went out because of the terrible storm (which is still going on). So bye bye high scores. I started working at 3:30, Colin pretty much got the job (don't know if he knows that), and I got off at 7:30. I plan to go to sleep early tonight because....

I'm going to NYC tomorrow with Allie-chan! I'm very excited, as I always am when I get to see her. She's just flat-out my best friend, nobody else makes me feel the way I do (which is good) like her. I gotta catch a bus outta Reading at 7 in the morning to get there around 10 or 11. We plan to go to a new sushi buffet we found, shop for dorm stuff, do karaoke, and just hit the usual stores and more. Really can't wait, I don't think I ever have as much fun as I do than when I get to hang with her. And then I'm back for tomorrow and then off to Senior Week till the 16th. So yeah, little to no updates here till then unless I find a computer cafe in OC. Erin's not going now which was surprising, but now I don't have to worry about being forced to get drunk. His car payments were gonna be too much so he dropped out. Plus his navy ship date's being moved closer and closer so I'm being groomed more and more to be his replacement at Subway. Weird how things work out. But I think Senior Week's gonna be fun, I'm sure I'll have plenty of stories when I return.

I guess that's pretty much everything that's been going on with me lately. I'll try to put up the second part of my story before I leave, but no promises. Later.

But I'll get to that in a second. This thing is really becoming more blog than art site and I don't know how I feel about that. I imagine it's only gonna get less arty over the summer unless I somehow get a scanner. Anyway, yesterday I had work from 11 to 7:30. I get there and things are going smoothly until about 3 when Katrina has to leave 'cause her kid was sick. This left me and A.J. to run the place on which is probably the busiest day of the week. We had about 300 sales by the end of the night but we did all right. Despite A.J.'s bragging about all his Subway experience and how he'd been working at them since he was 16, he knew absolutely nothing about anything so I was pretty much left in charge. Me with my 3-4 weeks experience, but even so I handled it pretty well. I made a good impression on our boss when he got there at 8 to replace me. I imagine pretty soon I'll become a closer there. So after work I was pretty tired but we had to drive to NJ. We got in close to 12 and I more or less crashed soon after.

Woke up today around 8. Mostly hung out all morning (at my Grandma's) and watched Seinfeld/played videogames. My aunt and cousins got there and we played around outside with frisbees and balls and water guns. It was lots of fun, and to explain the entry title I was shoving my little twin cousins over into the grass. Hm, doesn't sound much better than the first time, but I can assure you they were unharmed and had fun. We left for home a few hours later and got home around 10:30. Now I'm just chilling out. None of the downloads I left going ended up working when I played them so that was awesome, back to the drawing board. Tomorrow will just be work bookended by hanging out, seeya then.

Monday and Tuesday were my last real days of school, today and tomorrow are finals and I'm off Friday. 4-day weekend and then I come back Tuesday for a wrap-up type day and the rest of the week is graduation practice in the morning leading up to graduation on the weekend. That Sunday I may be going for one day of Wizardworld Philly and if not I'll just hit Kyle and/or Emily's party. I had half of my Humanities final today, it was really easy. I was done within 30-40 minutes and they let us out around 9. Chris picked me up around 9:30 and we drove around. Got the next book in the Thrawn trilogy, volume 2 of Clone Wars and She-Hulk, the 3rd DVD set of the Batman cartoon, and I put $550 in the bank. We got some Chinese food at Super King which was very good. Chris played with a small dead lobster and I had coconut chicken for the first time and it was excellent. Also had sushi of course and surprisingly the inarizushi was better than Jumbo China's. Tomorrow is the other part of the Humanities final, I expect it to go similarly to the first part. After that I'm just gonna chill out till Erin and co. are done with their Math final then we're all going to Jumbo China. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking having Chinese today but I'm always up for it so I'm not worried about tomorrow. It looks like it's Erin, Nikie, Angie, Kyle, Colin, Bri, and I and possibly Mark going. Since Bri's a junior we've orchestrated a brilliant little scheme to get her out of school after 4th period so she can join us. Yes yes.

Last night I wrote a 6 page story about Aayla Secura from Star Wars. The idea was slowly working itself together since I saw the movie and I banged it out in 2-3 hours last night. So far everyone who's read it has enjoyed it. Chris thought it was great and he's the big writer, and Allie liked it and she's not a Star Wars fan so I think I did pretty well. I may post it here eventually, there's still more parts to be written for it. This weekend I was supposed to go to NY to hang out with Allie for a day but now it looks like it's not gonna happen. She works and I work and it's just not gonna be easy to put together. We're just gonna do it at the next opportunity, which sadly due to my schedule probably won't be till mid-June after senior week. It's really depressing, this girl is my best friend I'll ever have and I get to see her what? Maybe 4 or 5 times a year, tops? All that will likely change when we're back in college but this current development is still disheartening. I'm still supposed to go to NJ and since I work all day Saturday we're probably gonna have to wait to leave after that.

I guess that's all for now, things are kind of in a weird balance of awesome and disappointing. So yayboo? I dunno, I'll seeya later.

I swear Lucas was drunk when he wrote the first paragraph of the opening crawl to Ep3. I saw it again today with my brothers since my plans with kristina fell through last night. It was just as good as the first time and I caught little things I missed the first time. I didn't do much else today, just chilled out and watched my new Seinfeld DVDs.

On Friday I had a little get-together/date-type thing with Bri. Chris babysat me for a couple hours and then I met Bri at the mall. We went to see Kicking and Screaming but we missed our show so we went out to eat at Uno's first. I had a burger and she had stir-fry, good stuff. We caught a later show of Kicking and Screaming which was really funny. The thing is it wasn't Anchorman, and I worry now that I can't fully enjoy another Will Ferrell movie that isn't on the same level as Anchorman. Even so it was a really good movie and also sweet for families, worth the $0 it cost me since Bri used AAA tickets. Overall I had a really fun time and I look forward to doing it again.

On Saturday I had work at 3. I was supposed to work with Erin (cool) and our boss Mike (yikes). Fortunately Mike refused to come in but unfortunately he sent this thing named A.J. in. Good lord, this kid's a moron. He thinks he's hot shit and he's constantly jawing about how awesome he is, but (as you might guess) he's not. He wouldn't shut up the whole night and would follow us into the back to continue his "I'm great and here's why" diatribe. Ugh, if I never see him again it'll be too soon. Anyway, after work I picked up Team America and Seinfeld Season 4. As previously mentioned, my plans to see Star Wars with Kristina from work fell through so I ended up going home and watching Team America with my brothers. I also got Jones soda (Lime and Berry Lemonade) which is quite delicious and superior to your common Earth sodas. That was about it for my weekend. This week I only have two full days, two half-days of finals and then off on Friday. Should be easy. That's all for now, seeya when I have something psuedo-interesting to say.

Wow, what a fantastic movie. Easily the best of the prequels, I think repeat viewings are gonna be necessary before I can fit it in with all the movies. I got to the theater a little after 10 and found my friends. There were a few people in Jedi robes, a couple Darth Vaders, and tons of lightsabers. The line to get in was huge. We had a little lightsaber fight and talked to Brittanni before they let us in at 11. We killed time in the theater by playing DS and chatting, I downed one of my Red Bulls but I wasn't really feeling tired. 12:10 rolled around and the lights went down.

Only a few trailers, mercifully, and the movie started. I'll do my best to remember my thoughts as the movie went in the same stream of consciousness way I reviewed Sin City. Spoilers, 'natch. Opening crawl, the first paragraph sounds like Lucas wrote it when he was drunk. I had seen it and a few random scenes from the videogame. "War!" lol. Wow, that opening scene as the camera swoops serenely over the Republic warship following Anakin and Obi-wan and then tips down over the nose of the ship to reveal the insanely chaotic battle below was crazy. Easily the most impressive space battle of the series. I still like the chemistry between Anakin and Obi-wan, the whole "Look out!" "sorry master..." thing they always do. R2 facing off against the buzz droid was amusing. I love the scene where they crash into the enemy hangar and Obi-wan jumps out of his cockpit and slices 4 droids before he lands. R2 brutally killing those battle droids was highly disturbing, everyone laughs it off 'cause he's a cute little droid but that was pretty violent. They really made the droids a lot more incompitent and funny-sounding than the other movies. The Dooku duel was pretty cool, he kinda went out like a chump but he was a chump so I guess it's okay. I'll say now that Palpatine/Sidious/The Emperor is freaking crazy in this movie. He hams it up so bad it's entertaining, especially with the mouth movements. It works in a weird way, and he pwns everyone in this movie so it's okay. Grievous is cool despite all the coughing. I was so hyped for this character because of his general look and the insane amount of ass he kicks in the Clone Wars cartoons. In the last ep of the cartoon Mace Windu force crunches his body, hence the coughing, but none of that was mentioned in any way in the movie so it just made him seem more feeble than he should have. Oh well, I still liked him. The next stretch of scenes are kinda slow, but necessary. I really can't blame Anakin for wanting to go to the dark side, his wife is gonna die and he's got Yoda telling him not to worry about it because the force is great and blah blah, and Palpatine offering him a chance to save her life, what would you choose? Oh and I saw George Lucas' cameo outside the opera building.

Anyway, Obi-wan's whole thing on Utapau is cool, it's one of the more interesting planets in the universe. I liked his "Hello there" and the ensuing brawl between he and Grievous surrounded by the droids. It was cool when Grievous was whipping his lightsabers around but kinda shitty how he lost two of his hands. Then he gets on his big baby wheel and drives off. Padme was sadly kinda stale through most of the movie, not the sexy action hero she was in Ep2. Kinda disappointing. Again I don't blame Anakin's motives for turning to the dark side, he really only crosses the line with Mace Windu and the Jedi temple. Speaking of which, Kit Fisto's was the first depressing death in this movie, he was a such and funny and badass Jedi. Then of course Mace bites it, I was hoping for more of duel between him and Anakin and I didn't see that whole zapped-out-the-window scene coming. I'm totally sure how I feel about Mace in this flick, his fight with Sidious was badass though. And again with the hammy acting by Sidious during the transformation scene. Anakin slaughtered the kiddies and didn't kill Shaak Ti thankfully despite what Lego Star Wars suggested. She survived the movie but I'm sure she'll get hers in an upcoming book or comic. They also didn't show Luminara's death which apparently happened on Kashyyk. All the Wookie stuff was awesome, same with Yoda. Him lobbing off those Clonetrooper heads was pretty cool, and then he got a piggyback ride from Chewie, makes you wonder about that "Good relations with the Wookies, I have" comment. The whole scene with Yoda leaving in the pod screamed E.T. to me, I half-expected Chewie to be like "Goodbye E.T., I love you!"

And then sad moment upon sad moment happens, as all the best characters to come from the prequel trilogy are killed one after another in the cheapest deaths ever. Aayla Secura, favorite Jedi, didn't even get to turn around to get shot. Plo Koon got shot down in...

I napped, and now I'm just gonna shower and get ready to leave. I'll pick up some Red Bull on the way to the theater to be safe, but I think I'll be okay. The plan is basically waiting in line from 10-ish till showtime, playing DS, lightsabers, people-watching, and just a general nerd orgy. Then movie, then home by 3. It'll be a miracle if I get to school on time tomorrow, a stretch if I even make it at all. I'll post tomorrow with a big ol' review of the event, but I'm done for now as I have to get ready.
Figured I should update, but nothing too notable happened. Thursday and Friday during the last few periods of the day I just hung out on Mr.Graber's deck with my shoes off. Various other people joined me and we just read, drew, relaxed, frolicked and/or played with lightsabers. It was pretty theraputic for the bad mood I'd been nursing. At work on Friday I found out Chappel was making catty comments about me behind my back to Erin and Allison (the people I'm painting the mural with on Monday). Fuck. Him. Like I need this shit now at the end of the year, I'll go to the mural on Monday but that's it, I have too many projects due Friday to waste time on this thing. I was gonna get Chap a gift and write him a nice letter for the end of the year, but that's totally out now. The more I talk about that crap the angrier I get, so moving on...

More laptop complications have arisen, but so have opportunities, I don't remember what I mentioned last here so I'll just fill you in on the latest. Allie suggested I look at a laptop from Dell instead of Toshiba, since they have a fairly reputable financing plan. I customized a Inspiron 9300, it'll cost about as much as the Toshiba but I get a printer and other stuff. My mom qualified for the installment program but the interest is crazy, like 29.99%. I figure I'll save up close to half the cost plus a big chunk of the interest before I buy it. The idea would be to pay off about 75% of it before I start school. I dunno, we'll see what happens.

On Saturday I went to Alana's party for a couple hours before I worked. Had a nice time, would have been nice if I could have stayed longer. Work wasn't too bad, there was a big party the night before where everyone was getting really drunk that Erin and some others went to. I was surprised he drank too since he's going into the navy, and now I'm worried about senior week. The big selling point was that Erin would be my partner in soberness, now that's probably out. It's really frustrating sometimes, I often feel like the last sober kid on Earth. And what's worse it seems you can only have fun and meet people/girls if you're getting drunk off your ass and that doesn't appeal to me in any way. Ugh.

Today I just lounged around and did nothing productive. I beat Mace Windu and killed countless Jedi in the Episode 3 game, quite fun. I was also going crazy playing Sprung, which I bought after work yesterday. Don't let it fool you, that game is tough as hell. Right now I'm trying to hook Elliot up with Shana by whispering what he should say through a curtain, and none of the things seem to work. But I gotta make this happen or he'll never give up Becky! Yeah I know! Also, the dialogue in that game is hilarious, funniest since Conker's BFD.

So Tuesday both Team America and Seinfeld Season 4 come out, I must of course obtain both. And then Wednesday all the months of pain and degradation and nerdniness come to a head with the midnight showing of Episode 3. Hot damn I can't wait. I hope I work that day so I can just go to the theater with Erin. I downloaded that song from the ipod commercial (with the rollerskates) called Feel Good Inc. It's awesome, I only found it 'cause Allie told me it was by Gorillaz. I used to be really into that band in 9th grade, I still like them a lot now. And speaking of Allie I'm really happy she's home, whenever she is she and I get to talk a lot more and I'm just a generally happier person. Hopefully she and I can hang out a lot this summer before she goes back to Buffalo and I go to Edinboro (where we'll probably see each other more, heh).

That's all from me, seeya whenever.

I guess I'm doing a little better but I'm not back to 100%. Chappel wasn't here today so I didn't have to worry about that, and things are okay with Erin. Still feeling down about the girl troubles though among other things. In Art me and bunch of kids were playing with lightsabers, having a little duel until it became apparent who won and then passing the saber to someone else. Even the substitute teacher was playing which was amusing. Then this kid Zach starts trying to get Colin (Haas) to play, and I'm like "yeah, c'mon" and tap his hair with my lightsaber. Next thing I know the guy shoots up from the table and stomps over to me and begins swinging at me very wildly and very angrily. I'm surprised and laughing through the whole thing, but he starts whipping my back repeatedly with the lightsaber while I try in vain to fend him off. He takes mine from me and I end up having to kick him to push him away from me. It was crazy, nobody in the class saw it coming or anything. It really only hurt while he was doing it, so I guess I'm okay. I'm not upset about it or anything, he's the one with the massive pent-up rage. He and I have joked around all year so I don't know what's going on.

I was recruited by Mr.Graber to take down the panels from the art show. We stored them in this crazy tunnel that goes from the main stairs all the way under the school to the gym (and allegedly all the way to the junior high too). I didn't go all the way through but there were lots of desks, junk, band instruments, chemicals, more junk, a jail cell holding chemicals, and more. Fascinating things you learn all the way up to your last couple weeks of high school.

Whether or not I'll be getting that laptop as soon as I originally thought is kinda up in the air. If the card my mom has doesn't work out then I probably won't be able to buy a computer till towards the end of the summer. Very depressing. I just got my residence info from Edinboro, so I gotta fill that out and mail that as soon as I can, I really don't want to end up with a roommate like Allie's. At work today Erin sent me on a little quest to see if I could find the danishes and muffins. I eventually find them and decided to have a danish, I left it to go tend to some customers then came back to eat the rest. I find a jalapeno pepper in it (before I ate it) then later find out Erin licked it as well. Thanks asshole. He finds it highly hilarious, just as I'm sure he'll find it even more hilarious when he reads it here. I guess I have to accept that's how he is, and while I could be just as bad as him or worse in retaliation I realize I don't want to be that guy. I worry this just means I'm a pushover but Erin assures me I'm not. He and I get into a lengthy philosophical conversation covering a range of topics from girls to putting peppers in one's danish that's all fueled by my recent depression. Erin's actually able to rationalize certain things that I'm bringing up, and it becomes apparent that I'm coming off much more pathetic than I actually am. It can be hard to feel confident about girls standing next to a guy like Erin who flirts with everyone and gets a good amount of play, and I then realize I'm discounting all my experience (which is at least a little impressive) and I can't understand why. I really wish I could clear these negative thoughts like I usually do and just press on with my life. Either way, despite Erin's insanity he's the person who actually offers the most real advice and solutions, everyone else is just like "sorry to hear that, now back to me".

On a good note today, Chris showed me his paper for Humanities (an art crit paper on the recent art show) that he did on my show. It was an insanely gushing review, full of nothing but excessive praise and kind words. I was really taken aback, I'm not used to so many (or any) nice things being said about me. It's kinda sick 'cause I really don't even know how to respond to it besides basic gratitude. Whatever, I was happily surprised. Also I bought the Episode 3 game after work (came with a free poster). I figured I'll get my fix of it, beat it, and return it for credit towards Xbox Live.

Better leave on a high note after all that sad crap, I really hope I shake this mood soon. Seeya later.

No reason to draw this out, but my day was pretty crappy. Chappel continues to give me shit, I drew yet another goddamn bulldog for him and it wasn't to his liking. I was irked and he's like "I pity you when you go to college and someone rejects a design of yours" and I'm like "thanks Chap, I'm glad I have your damn pity". I'm never bothered by stuff like this unless it's from him, so I'll do fine in college. I'm not even his student anymore, the only time he talks to me is when he wants something or has something to complain about one of the many projects I'm doing for him. So yeah, fuck him, let him draw his own bulldogs and organize his own murals. Oh, but that's not his style, he'll just pass it off on some other hapless bastard.

That angered me, but this just depressed me. Without going into too many details to avoid certain people catching wind of them, I sorta hit a dead end today. In the girl department. Girl I was interested in has a boyfriend I probably should have been aware of as I see them together all the time, but wasn't. It really only became apparent today, and she confirmed it. So yeah, big let-down. We had some plans too, which I guess still stand. Oh well. I had said I wouldn't pursue anything of this nature until I got to college, I guess this should serve me right. Shouldn't have bothered.

Capper to this crummy day was a fight with Erin at the end of the day. It was over some incredibly trivial horseshit and I would hope it'll be put to rest by tomorrow, but it just sucks fighting with someone you're good friends with. I can deal with any manner of idiots flinging shit my way, but Erin's an equal and a friend, and this was a really minor problem.

Shitty day, that's all for now. I really hope tomorrow's better.

So Friday I was pissed off most of the day due to Chappel and him making me his bitch for this mural thing this week. All I signed on to do was paint a mural with some little kids, not run all over the school transfering files, finding equipment, moving said equipment down steep hills, etc. He wouldn't stop bitching and yelling at me all day 'cause I either wasn't doing some bitchwork he assigned me to or I wasn't doing it in a way that pleased him. I was very ready to flip out at him towards the end of the day and I can't believe I didn't, when I'm in a mood like that I tend to shoot my mouth off. Anyway, if the mural is even happening next week, I'll be at the school all day almost every day. If Chappel still intends to boss me around and treat me like a subordinate since I can't fight back without getting in trouble he's gonna be in for a rude awakening. Whatever, after school I had work till 8, went fine, nothing interesting to report.

So yesterday I had work from 3 till 8 but I had the morning to myself. Watched Sideways, really good flick. Around 1 I went out with my mom to get my permit reissued (I had lost it, cost me $20 and I have to wait 2 weeks, oh well) and to just kill time before work. We went to Borders where I got the first book from the Thrawn trilogy from Star Wars. Went to A.C.Moore where I showed my mom the drawing table I'd like for college. And then we went to Best Buy to look at which laptop I want to get.

Yes that's right, I'm getting a laptop. I had wanted one about 2-3 years ago, but later decided against it and just planned to build or buy my own PC. Then this last week I've been working with a lot of laptops for the mural, and despite Chappel being an asshole it made me start to consider a laptop as a better choice for the computer I'll take to college. My mom seemed to go for the idea, so we'll buy it now and I'll pay it off in installments from each paycheck this summer. I'm looking at a Toshiba that costs about $1700. Everyone has their own little brand loyalties but I haven't really kept up on who's the best in the laptop game. If Toshiba royally sucks please tell me. This thing is more than enough computer for my minor needs. But then again virtually any computer from the past 5+ is more than enough for me, I'm so used to the 7-8 year old shitbox I have in front of me it's very hard not to be impressed by any better specs. Point is, I'm getting a laptop and I'm very excited.

After Best Buy I had work till 8. Erin gave me my Episode 3 midnight showing ticket (he, Chris, Mark and I are going). It was me, Erin, and Katrina (a girl who physically reminds me of Ali). It went well, but it was really busy, we had nearly 300 sales by the time the night was over (granted roughly half of those occured before I got there). I had plans to hang out with Bri and catch a movie with her after we got off work, but she didn't know when she'd get off and she never got back to me. Oh well, next weekend. I picked up a 208+ disc holder at FYE to transfer all my DVDs to for college. I put 'em all in and it really didn't take that long either. Looks good.

That was about it for yesterday, just watched SNL (Will Ferrell next week!) and went to bed. Today's Mother's Day, I'm cooking steaks for her and everyone tonight and I'm letting Mr.T give her my card. That's right, "Treat Your Mother Right", I love it. Other than that I don't have much planned, I've been perched over Blockbuster, waiting for someone to return the Episode 3 game so I may feast on it. I heard it wasn't a buyer, just a renter but that it was really fun anyway. See you later, remember to treat your mother right.

I got this one tonight that you pull a string on and make this little helicopter thing go flying, it's awesome. So yeah, I worked tonight quite randomly, because Colin offered me his hours. It was my first time working at the store near Wal-mart (as opposed to the food court in the mall). Went pretty well, still a little shakey but I'm learning. I worked from 4 to 8, got home a little while ago. I work there tomorrow at the same time, then Saturday and Monday at the mall.

Didn't do much at school, the art show's still up and people can't seem to understand that they're not supposed to open the door with the clearly marked sign asking them not to due to the wires taped to it. Ugh. I went on a mini-field trip with Chappel and Allison to the elementary school where we'll be painting the mural all next week. We were trying to negotiate the use of scaffolding vs. a latter vs. nothing vs. the childrens' safety. I think we figured something out, I dunno, but I'll be there all day most of the days next week.

So I found out I'm inelligible for behind-the-wheel courses from the school because my drivers ed average from 10th grade was 2 points too low. I'm pissed, and it would have been nice if the teacher told me this when I signed up so I could have found an alternate means instead of having to wait the whole school year. It's looking like I'll need to get private lessons (for like $350 -_-) from Mr.Cardinal. He's the most well-known guy around here and I had a bit of a thing with his daughter when we went to synagogue together. Wonder how she's doing...

Anyway, that's what's going on with that and I'm not too thrilled but what can I do? Between that and paying to get my cat spayed I don't where I'll have money for a new computer and stuff for my dorm. I'm really hoping for mad bills (that's what they call it on the street, I'm told) from Subway. That's all for me, Happy Birthday John-Rhys Davies!! Gimli lives! Guy with the fez from Indiana Jones lives too I guess, but his monkey dies.

Just got back from the art show, very tired. When I started work on the show today I found my extention chord stripped and frayed and none of the things plugged into the auditorium outlets (mine or other people's) were working. I deduced it was a blown circuit problem so I set off to fix it. This included searching for a janitor, randomly getting a key for the circuit breaker panel from a know-it-all teacher, trying to find said panel, trying to get the key to work, figuring out which were the correct switches, and finding a new extention chord among other things. Quite a journey, and quite thankless. So fixed that, got the very last of my presentation done and then chilled out the rest of the day. I was gonna just stay after school till the show started but realized I would want some dinner, so I went with Chris and Colin for free Subway. While there I met my boss and recieved my uniform. This is a hat, an apron, and a shirt (two sizes too small, natch). So I'll just be wearing a green shirt till the boss can order an Subway-sanctioned shirt for my hefty self. We killed time at some other stores then went back to the school and hour before the show.

We continued to chill out and shmooze and people began to arrive. As far as I could tell a good time was had by all. Pretty much everyone showed up but sadly Erin and Matt M. were stuck at work. I got nothing but good reviews and praise for my stuff, which I enjoyed. I expect a couple calls by the weekend or so asking to buy stuff. Pretty much everyone's stuff looked awesome, without a doubt the best show I've seen at the school. My family really enjoyed my stuff, that was quite satisfying. I made sure to take many pictures which will make their way here this week.

I really don't know what I'm gonna do once I get out of school as far as getting pictures up here. My scanner doesn't function with this computer so it's gonna be near impossible to scan new drawings. Eh, I'll find a way. I guess this is all I have to say for now as I'm pretty beat. Great day. Great art show. Thanks all.
I got all my art up the first day with the help of Erin and others, today I got the lights up and a few other little touches. Tomorrow I just have to hang my name sign and the signs advertising that some pieces are for sale and that the show is dedicated to Erin and Allie. After that I'm totally done and just in time for the show at 7. Of course, the one day I'm supposed to work this week is tomorrow from 4-7:30. Hopefully Colin can cover for me, I want to be at the school before the show starts so I can make sure everything's working right and so I can take pictures.
If you wanna be pretentious about it, sure. This Wednesday is the big art show. I reserved this big glass box area near the front entrance to set up my 50-60 odd art pieces. I made a CD this morning with songs that I feel reflect the tone of my stuff, I'll leave the track list a surprise for later this week. I'm gonna hang up some blue Christmas lights and do other little things like that to set a cool mood for the place. I think when it's all done (and it'll take awhile to get it all done) it'll be pretty neat. I still have maybe 1 or 2 pieces to mat, and I'm toying with the idea of typing up a catalogue of all the picture titles and suggested prices for the ones I'm selling privately. Speaking of which I need to make some signs that advertise that some of the pictures are for sale and a sign dedicating my display to two special people. Aaand the last thing I need to do is make a big nametag for the show, last years had my name with a different cartoon character in each letter. This time around I'm thinking either my name in Star Wars text or possibly a samurai slicing my name in half. We'll see what happens.

So what else is new? Well, I just got back from a haircut, looks pretty snazzy. It's different from what I usually end up with when I get out of there but I like it. Tonight's a big TV night, new eps of all the Fox toons, but mostly new Family Guy and American Dad. I really can't wait. Yesterday I was watching the bonus disc of season 3 of 24 (which I finished, finally) and they had this little segment that bridges the 3rd and 4th season. Jack Bauer (biggest badass on TV in case you forgot) gets fired from his job at CTU by this bitch-woman who took over for Tony. He gets up and goes to the door and she's like "if you want I can make some calls and help you get started in another agency" and he's like "I can find my own fucking job." BOOM. I was floored, I started cracking up and geeking out immediately. I was so freaking elated to see my new hero say the fuck word, since the DVD was unrated. But man, I was not expecting that, the most Jack ever utters is a gruff "son of a bitch..." or "DAMN IT!!" but this was a whole new and magical world. It truly was glorious and I played it over in my mind and on my DVD player many times. I know this all sounds dumb but you should have seen my brothers and I flip out when he said it, good times.

So judging by that you can see how exciting my day was yesterday. I finished 24, watched Orgazmo with one of the commentaries, watched Episode 2 of Star Wars, and watched Cannibal! The Musical with the drunken commentary which was very amusing. Then I played some DK with my brother and after I finished I realized I popped my shoulder out or something 'cause it hurt like hell. It moves fine but it's still pretty sore even today, damn bongos. On Friday I basically just had school, I was supposed to work but the boss changed the schedule at the store I don't work at and when I went there with Erin I found out I didn't have to. I was kinda disappointed and really hungry, so Chris and I went to the other Subway and had my buddy (and now boss) Matt Martin make us some sandwiches. After that we just drove around, got some comics and some ice cream around 9 and went back to my house to play videogames. I was supposed to work for Erin on Monday but it turns out he's closing so I can't cover that. Oh well.

As stated before this week is gonna be devoted to the art show. I'll be spending most of my time in my little glass box applying tape and hanging shit up. Should be loads of fun. That's all for now, come to the show if you can, I'll do my best to get pics up here. I'm itchy from that haircut, gotta shower.

No big update, too tired. I added 3 new pics, hope you likey. In school I nearly finished all my art show prep stuff, just a little more to do tomorrow. Didn't really do much else besides that, I had three pictures to paint before next week and I so far have one down. After school I had my first day at Subway.

Gotta say, it went great. It was just me, Erin, and Matt Martin the whole time so it was very fun. I think I picked up the whole sandwich making/ringing up process fast enough, I got pretty good at it by the end. Saw lots of crazy characters and met some nice people too. This place is just so much better than Phoebe. I worked from 4 till 9:30, playing pool and DDR with Erin for a half hour beforehand. Officially I only am getting paid from 4 to 8, as I wasn't supposed to stay till close but I wanted to learn all I could. Still I made about $25. I must again say how good a job this is and how much better than Phoebe it is. Fuck you Phoebe. I know I said I'd never work with food again but this really is different and actually fun. Can't wait to start for real next week. I had a sub for dinner tonight and have one for lunch at school tomorrow, yum yum. Wonder when I'll get sick of them.

I got home 2 hours ago and I'm tired as shit. I'll get more words in tomorrow but I really need to sleep. Goodnight all.

Okay, gonna try to cover 4 days as quickly as possible 'cause I'm not really in the mood. Will I fail? Likely.

Saturday went to my Grandma's in NJ, stayed till Sunday. Saw the family (grandparents, aunt, cute little cousins) and mostly just sat around with Andy and watched 24 and beat Jedi Academy (twice). I would have done those last things here anyway but it was good to see the people of the homeland. I also got stuff: A Cammy (from Street Fighter) toy, a Shaak Ti (from Star Wars) toy, a NJ shirt that says "New Jersey- Where the weak are killed and eaten", a Star Wars imperial shirt, some SW comics, and I went halfsies on DK Jungle Beat for the cube. That game rocks balls, btw, but it kills your hands from all the constant drumming and clapping. Really glad we got it though. So I was in NJ till Sunday and then I came home. Just hung out at that point and watched what was allegedly the last Sealab ever, wtf?

Monday did the school thing, threw on the wheel whenever I got the chance but failed miserably every time. That thing's really kicking my ass. Also matted more stuff for the art show which is next week. Speaking of which next week's going to be insanely busy but I'm up to the challenge. I have the art show, the elementary school mural which is gonna eat up days, the last week of the wheel in ceramics and much more I can't remember. Had some short lightsaber fights but nothing major. Honestly can't think of much else I did except found out from Erin I start training for Subway tomorrow. By the way, my nickname for him is Dol ('cause Tom Bombadil sings about it and Erin has a hardon for Tom) and his nickname for me is Tardo (which he harshly called me after I told him he had already sent me that Perry Bible Fellowship link). Together we are: DOLTARDO!!

Today was the trip to Washington, which until the end was fantastic. The whole Senate thing was pretty boring, our senator (Rick Santorum) took a very random and hastily thrown together group shot with the whole class which I will eventually be recieving in the mail. We then went to eat lunch at a Shakespeare museum thingy, I didn't bring much food since I was so certain there'd be a shop or hotdog cart or something. There wasn't. But Miss Leiby came through and gave me half of her big sub she wasn't going to eat and a soda. I am forever indebted to her benevolence. I told her I'd make her free subs. So we had lunch and then went to the National Gallery for three hours. It was really cool, saw some awesome stuff from the only couple modern painters I can tolerate (Warhol, Picasso, and Liechtenstein) as well as some god-awful horseshit from Benett Newman. All of his pieces (and there were like 30 of them) where just big canvases painted one, maybe two colors and MAYBE containing a single black line going down them. I swear there was even one that was just painted white. Now I try to be open-minded when it comes to modern art, I mean that's what it's about, right? But I really can't stand stuff like this, some say it's "revolutionary", I say it's lazy. We continued through the gallery, saw Dali's Last Supper (where I swear to PJ that Jesus looks like Orlando Bloom's Legolas) as well as the guy (can't remember his name) who painted almost every portrait of George Washington you've ever seen. This guy had it bad for Georgey, and all his other stuff was just paintings of old white people (not my cup o' Wonderbread). We saw more stuff but nothing worth mentioning. At the giftshop I got a "Girl With A Pearl Earring" magnet and these flashcard/trivia card things that are hooked together about Greek mythology. Hard to explain, whatever, I also got a Sprite for two fucking dollars and just 'cause it was in a fancy glass bottle did not make it taste better. They had sushi in the cafeteria but it was expensive and I just had some over the weekend and plan to have some again on Thursday. I found a book there about anime and Japanese culture in general and how it made its way into America, it was like half anime encyclopedia, half editorial. It was also $60, so maybe next time ~_~; Amazon?

So that was most of the gallery, we then went to the Lincoln memorial (which I had never seen) as well as the Vietnam and WWII memorials, all were very impressive. There's a lot of big stairs in DC, so you better believe there was lots of Rocky impressions too (ugh) as well as lots of "Jenny?!" "Forrest!!" "The war in Viet-fucking-nam!" quoting going on in front of the reflection pool. All in all an excellent day.

Until the bus ride home. See, I had asked Mark last week if he could drive me home, he said he couldn't. Alright, cool. Then he IMs me last night and says he can, so I accept, as I was otherwise gonna have to wait around will Chris till 9 or la...

So yesterday was pretty eventful. In Humanities we watched the clip of Nathan Lane as Sister Wendy that Chris miraculously found and taped only a day after I mentioned to him I wanted to show the class. Went over great, and we're watching it again on Monday since Sunderman wasn't there to see it (and he mocks Sister Wendy the most). Pretty much hung out the rest of the day, I finished the Last Supper pic but it still needs to be colored somehow. Many lightsaber fights took place, a couple of which involved new people. This moron Zach Rile did one with me and he was clearly just trying to hurt me instead of have a real duel, so I handed his ass to him (including sweeping him off his feet and giving him some marks) but not before the little snot cut my thumb right on the joint. It's like the worst place to have a little cut, 'cause it hurts every time I move my thumb. Anyway, had a Subway feast and watched Armitage for lunch. Matt Martin stole my danish and I'm not even gonna begin to rant about that but I eventually got it back. In Photo I aced the dumb little website prokect, and will likely start shooting Fresh Knight 2: Electric Boogaloo next week. In Ceramics I didn't go on the wheel because 1) I had the cut on my thumb and 2) Pee-wee's Playhouse was on in Chap's room. Both lame reasons, but whatever. Speaking of Chap, he was trying to put an end to our lightsaber play, until of course we gave him his and he brightened up. See? He just wanted to play too. It was very amusing to see him walking around with it clipped to his belt. Alyssa almost killed me by swinging a lightsaber handle (which she thought was the kind that would just make the blade come out but was actually the topless electronic one) and flinging the batteries past my face. You'd be sad if I died, right?

So after school I went out with Chris. We were gonna be meeting Erin and then later Mark but we had time to kill. I wanted to shop for Star Wars figures, because I read in a book that girls dig on guys who have Star Wars figures. I got General Grievous and Luminara at Walmart, but I really wanted Aayla Secura. Everywhere we went had all the new toys except her. Anyone out there know if she was short-packed? 4 stores later I found it at Target, they only had one. So now I have a little battle going on in front of me, all I need now is Chaak Ti...

Anyway, Chris and I did a game of pool at the mall, he beat me for the first time in ever. Colin wasn't at Subway so no dice, we met up with Erin and got some McDonald's. Then we went to Toys R Us and Erin thought he found an amazing deal in a double-edged lightsaber (from some unofficial company) for $10. We do a big fight out in the parking lot and it's broken in less than 5 minutes. Then we're fighting some more in the empty lot next to the store and some dude gets dropped off. He's bald but had a big ponytail and he starts giving us shit about what we're doing. He's like "trust me guys, you don't want any trouble, you better stop". It'd be one thing if the guy was a cop or y'know, anyone with autority, but this was just some bald douchebag. He leaves and we fight some more, then decide to take the fight to Chris' where Mark joins us. We fight some more and beat the shit out of each other. I and my hands were so fucking sore. Oh, and my original lightsaber, the purple light-up SFX one, is dead. The end of it is practically broken off, hanging by a thread. *sigh* We had some good times, but i's finally time to put the ol' girl to rest, I'll miss her and all the fun times we had this week. Seems like it was only last weekend I had just gotten her, oh wait...

Oh well, after that we went to get some food but everywhere was pretty much closed at that point 'cause it was a weekday. We picked up a Spongebob tie for Chap's real birthday present and then got frosties at Wendy's. Erin and I were rocking out in his car to the likes of the Numa Numa dance, All Your Base, Inspector Gadget techno, Mortal Kombat, Skeletor and Beastman, and the Aqua CD (which Erin knows all the words to). We got home around 11, my brothers are gonna be gone till Saturday at least. Erin linked me up with this: [link] which is right up my alley. Then I slept.

And now I'm here. Brittany wanted to go to Jumbo China at 3 with Joe and some others, but I can't get a damn ride. I tried everyone in my phone and they're either busy or uninterested. Dammit. And now I have nothing to do today. I think I'm going to the homeland (NJ) on Saturday, but I'd really like to do SOMETHING today. That and I want something to take my mind off Allie when she's not around, since I'm pretty worried about her. Ugh. This is all I have in me for now, I need some food, seeya later.<b...

Some would argue one is already too much. I currently have three to my name, I've bought two for Erin, went half on one with Erin for Chappel's birthday, Billman bought one, and Brittany is bringing in two tomorrow (including a double-edged one). The ones I bought today were only $6 if that makes it any better (it doesn't). But so what? Everyone's having a good time so what does it matter? I gotta tell you though, those lightsaber duels really take it out of you. I had two today and I'm bushed. Tomorrow's probably gonna be the biggest day yet though.

In job news, I'm probably gonna have one now. Doug and Eric got fired for smoking pot in the back room so there's at least one position opened. Erin brought in an application today and it's looking pretty good. More free subs. Speaking of which Erin made me one tonight and he's bringing in a feast tomorrow that would have cost over $30. Can't wait.

After school today I hung out with Billman, Mikey, Brett, and Andrew. Billman went out and got those lightsabers and subs as well as my $40 down payment for the Ocean City place. I checked my account balance and it's a lot lower than I thought, good thing I'm getting that job. We then went back to Brett's so their band could practice. From what I heard they're not half bad. Around 8:30 my mom picked me up and now I'm here. Sadly I couldn't make it to the poetry event at the school, hope Nicole's not too cross with me.

That was my day for the most part, 'cept in art we're doing appropriations (at my request, the Drawing 2 class was doing them and I got this idea) and mine is The Last Supper with Star Wars characters. Big hit so far with everyone who's seen it. I'm pleased.

Yesterday I watched A Better Place and Hercules. The former is one of the few View Askew movies I've never seen, and it was really good. Pretty realistic depiction of high-schoolers, save for the killings at the end. Good flick though. The latter movie is, for my money, one of the best Disney movies ever. I'm not sure if it beats Lion King and Emperor's New Groove but it's right up there. James Woods is hilarious in that movie, every line is great. Hades and Megara are the best Disney villian and heroine respectively. The colors are as good or better than Emperor's New Groove. Overall a great movie which was cool to see again after all these years. Plus it has Rip Torn and Bobcat Goldthwait.

I'm really tired and in need of a shower, plus I have a paper due tomorrow that I'm currently grappling with the notion of doing. I'll try to get those drawings up soon, I've just been busy lately (lightsabers don't fight themselves, though that would be awesome...with glo-paint). Ah well, seeya tomorrow, I have off Friday so...that has no bearing on what goes on here, bye.

Is there anything more magical than hearing that little ice cream jingle coming from some far off place a few steets away and knowing the ice cream man will soon be driving by? Does anything capture the spirt of childhood in all its excited glory than rushing back to your house to grab some money to throw away on something sweet. For my money, I can't think of much. So Andy and I are walking home from the bus and we hear that beautiful song wafting over the summer breeze and we knew what needed to be done. Ran home, got money, got back out there. So I just finished my milkshake and it was very refreshing, especially after the day I had. I also feel a little sick.

Anyway, the crazy day I had. It really wasn't so crazy till the end. Sat through Humanities and listened to Stenberg blather his disjointed lesson plan for over an hour, then headed off to the art hall for the rest of the day. I started reading Dark Knight Returns (by Frank Miller, it's basically Sin City in color with Batman) which I haven't read in over 5 years. Today was the big lightsaber fight day between Erin and I. We had a little practice duel 5th period but the real thing came at the end of the day. We went freaking crazy. I'm still a bit winded from it now and it was 2 hours ago. He and I seriously went all out, putting on quite an impressive show for the 10 or so other people in the room. We were jumping around and doing all the moves, going over tables and wrecking our bodies and our lightsabers. Lots of pictures were taken so maybe they'll make their way here. My body is quite sore and my arms are scratched up to shit, not to mention both lightsabers being ruined. It's all dinged up and bendy and almost impossible to open/close. But it was worth it, we had a great time and we'll probably do it tomorrow.

So now I'm all worn out and stinky, that's pretty much all I've got to say today. Later.

So I get up, go to school, yadda yadda. Humanities we just BSed through and had a big discussion about childhood, teachers, how some parents tend to ruin things, drugs/alcohol/the legal age, cursing, and more.

We also went up to the gallery for a few minutes to look at the AP Studio art show. It's all pretty good, nothing bad at least but for my money Matt Ulrich is the best overall art student in the school. Some kids have their little specialties (like me with comics/cartoons or Colin with his gorey death junk) but Matt is talented all around and knows who he is. See that's a problem with a lot of artists and kids in general (but we'll keep this to artists). The majority of "the artists" at my school are naturally very talented and skilled at what they do. But they really haven't developed a voice or a unique perspective to bring forward with their stuff. So in place of that you get a dozen or so odd people with a painting of some person or an eye or a colorful face with some random-ass lyrics slapped next to it. This irks me, as you're not really expressing much besides some band's lyrics. Put some of your own lyrics in there at least. All contentions and shots at my hypocrasy will be answered at the end of the tour, btw. So the point is there's a bunch of people with talent who have nothing worthwhile to say with it. Such is not the case with Matt Ulrich, he knows exactly what he wants to say and it's never some pretentious social commentary with ripped Smashing Pumpkins lyrics. Good on ya, Matt. Now you may be saying "But Matt, these guys are only in highschool, don't you think it's too early for them to have some unique perspective?" Well yeah, in some cases that's how it is and that's fine, it's certainly the first excuse that's thrown at me whenever this discussion comes up. All I was saying was that Matt has this unique perspective (and he's still a junior) and I applaud him for it. Now you may also ask "At least half of your stuff are drawings of existing comic/cartoon characters you no-talent hack!". That's not a question, but okay. The thing is, I'm a cartoonist, and I have no delusions about who I am. I'm a fan of certain characters just like those other guys are fans of those lyrics or whatever. But I make no claims to be something innovative or great, I'm just drawing the things I like (and the career I'm going into will no doubt require me to draw more than a few things that were not my original creation). Originality and such is a very touchy subject, and I'd rather not get into it on this site of all places. To bring this whole thing back, I'm aware of myself and who I am and what I do and I make no excuses about it. Drawing a picture of Spiderman and doing a painting of a tortured body with Nirvana lyrics to get across to your audience that you're "deep" are two very different things. Next question. "What makes you think you're so great?" Hey, I'm not that great, I'm the first guy to say that. And there's a good chunk of people in the school who can paint circles around me (literally and figuratively). I come to you, hat in hand, just giving my two cents on something that kinda bugs me about the majority of the art coming out of my school these days. Does all this really matter? Nah, probably not, hell I'm going to college in a few months and that's a whole new world of pretention so I better get used to it. Am I gonna change the face of the art world with a fistful of superhero doodles and a rant in my journal? Fuck no, and I never planned to. See? This is what happens when you get me going on politics, I just wanted to say I like some kid's art. The end.

Wow, got a little heavy there, not good for me. Totally not my intention to go off on a rant like that when I started this thing. Let's read about what a collossal nerd I am! Okay, so the rest of school was spent helping Chap with that dance in the gym and watching Cannibal! The Musical with Erin for the movie club. Speaking of Chappel, he and I got along great today. Our relationship usually consists of a good-natured push-you-push-back friendship that hinges on strained mutual respect. But yesterday was great. See I'm eternally drawing cartoon bulldogs (school mascot) for him when he gets a request from someone in the school for one. What's likely to be my final one (of probably 15+ different bulldogs ranging from "Graduation Bulldog" to "Fiesta Bulldog") is for the retiring super-intendent. Chap loves the picture and ends up giving me two new sketchbooks for all my hard work over the years. That was a damn nice move, I was already gonna write him a letter and get him a present for the end of the year but that nice gesture cemented it. Anyway, back to nerdiness.

I love Admiral Ackbar. We finished watching Return of the Jedi today, up next on the list for Matt's Movie Club is Jurassic Park, Cannibal! The Musical, Independence Day, and Armitage III. Should be fun. In Humanities I aced the art test, I believe I have a 96 in that class. I measured the dimensions for the pieces I'll have in the upcoming art show (May 4, go if you can) and counted out how many pieces I'll be putting in. It's looking like it's gonna be a number around 50, if you can believe it. That's all the sketchbook pages, paintings, scultpures, digital art, ceramic pieces and more I've done since summer that I figured were good enough to be in the show. It's going to be hell to mat all that stuff, but I'm starting early for that very reason. It'll be worth it to see all my stuff up for the show.

Other than that I just worked on my various class projects. Painted the dumb jacket project for art, finished a few more pages for the website in photography, and got my clay balls ready for throwing on the wheel tomorrow in ceramics. For lunch Erin brought in subs, chips, and cookies and it was glorious. Very nice of him to do and my stomach and I appreciate it greatly.

Tomorrow should be pretty easy (like my other days aren't?). Chap's going to be in the gym all day hanging up those dumb ribbons I mentioned before and he's enlisting all his students to help. What this means for me is I'll have the art room to myself most of the day and I can watch more movies. I'm gonna start matting my art for the show but other than that I'll just chill. There's only about 5 or so weeks of school left and I can't wait to be done. I decided I will go with Erin and the gang to Senior Week, it should be fun.
All I've got to say for now, seeya later

You just can't. I tried it today, and so did Erin, and it's just not possible. Every time we opened our mouths crumbs would just shoot out, there's just too much junk in there that's too dry to swallow it all within a minute. So that's the end of that one, however if you just want some entertainment I highly recommend giving this little feat a shot.

In other news, I've been bored as shit lately (despite and more accurately as evidenced by said cracker experiment). But am I sitting down and taking it? Fuck. No. After school today (which could barely be considered that as over half of the periods were just spent sunning and drawing on Graber's deck) I went out with Colin Woomer and Reese. We were gonna get some free Subway from Erin at the mall and look for a game store with a Lego Star Wars demo but neither of those happened. Instead we went back to Reese's and played 3 matches in Smash Bros. Then they decided they wanted to smoke up which I really wasn't down for. They dropped me off at my house but not before bringing out "The War Machine" (a bong made out of a Gatorade bottle) and trying to get me to smoke up with them. So now I'm home earlier than I wanted to be, without Subway. Yay.

So back at school where, like I said, we just sit around watching movies and/or sunning outside, Erin brought up an interesting proposition. He wants me to come with him, Billman, and some other kids down to Ocean City for Senior Week. It's gonna be lots of smoking and drinking, but thankfully Erin has no interest in doing that stuff so we'll have each other to chill with. Basically we'll just amuse ourselves and allow drunk girls to take advantage of us (just kidding...sorta). I'm wary about the whole situation but it'll be something fun to do, we'll see what happens I guess.

So yesterday I stayed home from school, doing nothing but draw, watch 24, and play Jedi Academy. Good times, and said drawings will be uploaded soon.

Not much else to say besides the fact that Brodie (my cat) is cute. Oh and here's some quotes from today:

"I could care less what I put in my mouth...I'll chew on anything basically" ~Erin

"No, I haven't had my Bar Mitzvah so I guess I'm not a man, but I can still show you a thing or two" ~Me, to the beautiful Jewess Mel

And I'm out, paz!

I had it in my head that I was gonna do a big entry, but now I just feel tired and uninspired. I added 5 new pics, so take a peep at those. It's old stuff and new stuff, all of them of comic characters. 'Cause comics are cool.

Did nothing over the weekend, nothing of interest at least. Watched Plan 9 From Outer Space, man that movie lives up to its reputation. Also watched Sin City again, no not in theaters, I just downloaded it (is that more sad or less sad? I dunno). Played Jedi Academy a bit, that game's damn fun. I have a prettu impressive collection of Star Wars games, I realized it must be a favorite genre of mine. I have Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Leader, Rebel Strike, Jedi Academy, Battlefront, Knights of the Old Republic, and probably some more. Not to mention I've played the hell out of the SNES games, Jedi Outcast, and Rogue Squadron. But the latest SW game I wish to aquire is Lego Star Wars. Holy crap that game looks awesome, I was hovering around Blockbuster all weekend hoping the game would be available, no luck yet but I'm keeping hope alive. I just want to make sure I like it before I buy it, plus I'm trying not to spend too much till I get a new job. So other than all that crap this weekend I just sat around. Sunday night I had lime jello and laughed quite a bit at Adult Swim.

Today also brought very little activity in the world of Matt. We finished Girl With A Pearl Earring in humanities, which was a good flick. Not my favorite Johanson movie but still cool, especially since I did that project on Vermeer earlier this year. Speaking of which I forgot to edit my paper on Vermeer and turn it back in to Chappel today, gotta do that tonight. Speaking of Chapstick, he had all his classes doing bitchwork for the adult prom. We were all made to tie fruity-ass ribbons to decorate the gym, not my cup o' chai tea. Plus it's not exactly my strong suit, so all my ribbons had down's syndrome. In gym I got to fire much more arrows than last week's one, and I'm not the worst archer in the world. Maybe not Green Arrow yet, but I'm closing in on Speedy (pre-heroin addiction, damn those are good comics). We ate outside (which we'll probably do for the rest of the year unless the weather is inclement) which is always nice, get to work on my tannage before summer. Everyone at the table is embarassingly white, like uncooked chicken skin. Rest of the day was spent watching Return of the Jedi with Erin, finishing Mr.Smith's book and scanning those pics.

I now hold season 3 of 24 in my hands. Surely it will consume my life. Farewell all. Oh, and I must have made a nice impression on the people from last Friday I don't usually hang out with outside of school as I've been invited for another weekend romp. Go Matt, keep shooting for that social life. And that's all for me, check out those picsters.

Where to begin? Let's do yesterday first. So it turned out I didn't have to do my presentation on Thursday as I had originally thought, it was the next day. That's fine, I was ready to go either way. So I worked it out with Chris and we went to Jumbo China Buffet *insert heavenly choir with winged sushi here* which was excellent, I was so stuffed by the end and for only $5.95. Then we head over to the theater to see Sin City (second time for Chris, third for me). I know, I'm sick and obsessed but who cares as long as I had fun? Plus I've only seen the flick at matinee prices anyway. Even so I swear this was the last time for me, I may download the flick but otherwise I'm waiting for DVD. That movie was damn good every time I saw it, upon third viewing I noticed the slogan for Kadie's along with "Booze and Broads" (part of a Sin City book title) was "liquor in the front, poker in the rear" Classic. Also, the guy who plays Stucka (nazi who gets shot with the arrow) is the same dude who played Harry Senate in the short-lived-ish but loved-by-Matt series Boston Public. Weird, such a different role for him. In other Sin City news (sorry folks) I reread "A Dame to Kill For" and "The Big Fat Kill" and they're much better than I remember from like a month of two ago. One final bit: Where the fuck's my book, Amazon? You said April 4, wtf?

Anyway, before the movie we stopped by Microplay (game store) where the new Lego Star Wars game enticed me quite a bit. I, however, restrained myself and will first rent it. Other Star Wars news from that day (you guys must just be thinking "is Star Wars and Sin City all this fuck ever talks about?"): We watched A New Hope in Chap's class (we being like 15 people) during the hour-long last period of the day, I finished it after they left and was then kicked/locked out of the room by a guard and had to chill on Graber's deck till Chris was done with his presentation and picked me up. I did a good drawing of Gail while waiting that I'll put up Monday or so. After the movie we didn't do much, I picked up my golden idol Kevin Smith's book at Borders. So far it's hilariously brilliant, but I wouldn't expect anything less. I found out he won't be attending WizWorld Philly this year, this certainly changes my plans for that in what may actually a good way, but more on that some other time when it's more prevalent.

So. Today. Big presentation day. I get up, go in, get through classes, watch the rest of Empire with Erin (who, Don Kang bless him, is so obnoxious to watch movies or even talk about movies with, but it's so strangely humorous and impossible to be angry with for more than a second). Then when we were leaving he totally kicked his shoe at me, luckily I Matrixed out of the way. So I had time to kill before my presentation at 1:50 and I was hungry as hell. Luckily my good buddy Billman brought me some McDonald's (I know, it's gross and unhealthy). After chowing down in Chap's room I head upstairs to the room I'm to present in. I find out the other teacher who's gonna watch/grade the presentations for my group is the super-intendant. Wow, no pressure, right kids? But he never shows so it's no biggie, probably wouldn't have been even if he did. So I watch the girl before me do her thing, and she does well, plus her project actually made the world a better place. Habitats for Humanities almost always beats little doodles of mermaid tits. In a very sweet and endearing move she stays for my show even though she doesn't have to. So I get up there and do my thing, mop the floor with it. I kick that presentation's ass. I'm on the ball, fielding questions, being witty and charming and funny. I fill 5+ minutes easy and book it out of the classroom with a "Highly Successful", basically an A+. Go me. Now the real weight's off my shoulders and I must tell you it feels damn fine. So what does one such as me do to celebrate?

No, I didn't just go home and watch movies and play videogames like always. Jerks. I went out with my buddies, not my fellow comic geeks (Chris and Mark) or the dregs I'd call more aqquaintences/peers-by-default who I don't have much choice in hanging with at school. Nah, these are just a handful of good folks who actually think I'm a good, funny guy and enjoy my company. Sure they all smoke all the time and they drink and smoke pot sometimes too, but for me finding nice people is a rarity and they never try to push that garbage on me. Never give me too much shit either, and always quick with the kindness anyway, the kind of person I rarely get to interact with who's not a sweet young brunette from LI who holds the key to my heart. I digress.

That's right, damn skippy. I finished everything for my senior project. Massive fucking weight off my shoulders. I finished the shitty comic and every little unecessary piece of paper that goes along with the project. I may post the comic here eventually but it's really not my favorite thing I've done so we'll see. After I do my presentation tomorrow I'm just gonna check out as a student, aside from keeping the grades up in what few actual classes I have I'm just gonna focus on getting as much stuff ready as possible for the art show at the beginning of May.

So what else is going on with yours truly? Aside from focusing on that god-ker-stinking project my days have been pretty nice. The weather's been fantastic and we ate lunch outside the past couple days. In gym we started archery, I'm like Green Arrow, Legolas, Link, and Robin Hood all in one. Like if they all fucked and had a lovechild who was a horrible mutant because of all the mixed DNA and elf blood and couldn't shoot a bow at all, that's me. But it's still fun. In ceramics I have nothing to do till I start throwing on the wheel next week so I've just been watching my Star Wars tapes in Chappel's room. More and more people have been showing up to watch with us, maybe I can start an unnoffical movie club (since the official one is led by someone who's batshit insane).

So. Amazon. Where's my Sin City book? I'm jonesing bad here, man! I need book 6! C'mon! Speaking of the city in which you can find anything if you were to walk down the right alley, I've been listening to the OST pretty hardcore, it's like sax jazz/techno/Batman. I might see the movie again Friday or the weekend, but it might be overkill. What I really want to do Friday ('cause I have a half day) is go to Jumbo China Buffet for lunch, best damn sushi in town.

Alright, that's all for tonight, wish me luck for tomorrow, later

Okay, last Sin City quote for a title, I promise. Most likely. Let's begin...

I uploaded 5 new pics today, so you now have further reason for living. In school I got really far on my comic, cutting and pasting on the voice bubbles as well as copying/printing the pages in such a way that they can be folded and stapled together like a real comic. I know, I did what everyone (or at least I) thought couldn't be done. I had to shrink it down to 80% of the original size to fit the paper I had to use but it's okay, now I just have a little manga/digest-sized comic. It was quite difficult to get it to print the right way but after much trial and error I emerged victorious. Fuck you, error! Now what remains is to whip up a quick cover and credits page and staple it all together. In addition to the comic itself I have to BS some of the other required parts of the project like journal entries and reflective piece on those entries. The presentation itself will be me talking about the process of making comics from script to publishing in 5+ minutes. Shouldn't be too bad.

I finished my mask in Ceramics and am neglecting the website I'm supposed to be making in Photography due to scanning art for here (because you VULTURES just have to have your Matt Levy art fix. Vultures.). One quarter of school left for yours truly, cannot wait to get the fuck out of this one-horse town (What was that? The wind...*) and go to Edinboro. Speaking of which, I got my financial aid letter in the mail today and a good 60-70% of my expenses are gonna be covered. Thank Allah. Truly such a relief. Not much other school news, except that the proposed and planned NYC/Mitsuwa trip with me and Scooby and the gang has been (surprise surprise!) cancelled. Actually as it stands it's just been moved back two weekends. I really don't have high hopes for this thing, the only reason I'm going is for Nicole and Colin 'cause I refuse to drag Reese and Robbie around the city by myself, especially while they're drunk/stoned. I guess we'll see what happens. I really only like going to the city with my sweetest of baboos (Allie) as I have a nearly infinitely good time there when I'm with her. The next time that's gonna happen is probably May when she's done with college.

Sin City's no.1 in the country, not that that matters much in the long run but it's still cool. Mark, Brittany, Joe, Colin H. and all the other cool people who would have "got it", saw it this weekend and inevitably did "get it" and enjoyed it immensely. Chappel hated it 'cause of the violence but I'm not surprised, Mr.Graber loved it 'cause he's still a fan of such things. Allie saw it and enjoyed everything but the violence, I still haven't gotten her full review though.

Check out the Superman, Batman, and Spider-man parodies at [link], hi-fucking-larious. "When I catch you I'm gonna fuck you!"

That's all from me, enjoy those pics and leave some comments. Also howzabout leaving what you thought of Sin City too for the hell of it.

...that's the new threat I use on my brothers after we saw Sin City (second time for me). They say something smartass and I just disdainfully mutter "I'll cash the check in the morning...". Good stuff. So yeah, the flick's just as awesome the second time around, possibly better. I didn't necessarily catch anything new, I was so glued to the screen last time it was hard to miss anything. But all the same it was great, and I'm glad my brothers got to see it. Ben had read "The Hard Goodbye" and had fun pointing out all many scenes that matched up. This current, non-hostile relationship I have going with my brothers now is pretty nice. I can't speak for them but I just figure there's no point in fighting like we used to anymore, especially because I'll be gone next fall. Now we hang out much more and get along better than I do with most of my ingrate friends.

Speaking of said ingrates, I was supposed to meet Reese (who, to be fair, isn't really an ingrate) and his friend for the movie, but they either never showed or I never spotted them. I 'm not sure if I mentioned in a previous entry but Reese and Robbie want to go to New York and Mitsuwa next weekend, with me as the trusty guide. I had told Reese about the wonderful land of Mitsuwa some 4 months ago and in typical fashion it occured to him just now that he'd like to go there. When he told me about it I wasn't thrilled but I reluctantly agreed (it's the sushi that sold me). I was worried about going until I talked to Colin Woomer and Nicole about it. They were interested so I invited them and now they're gonna be going along too. Now I feel great. I have a nice little road trip set up and while these are not the most drug/alcohol-free people in the world I think we'll do okay. As it stands we're gonna be going next Saturday. Robbie's the entertainment, Colin's the voice of reason (WTF?), Reese is the consumer, Nicole's the sex-appeal, and I'm the navigator (that's a cool movie, btw). At least all according to Colin, I dunno, he tends to ramble, but so do I. I remember this one time...

So anyway, yeah, that's supposed to happen. Mark just had me guess who he saw when he went to Sin City. I guessed Mr.Chappel (my art teacher) at random and I was right. I'm telling you guys I have dangerous mind powers. I suppose that's all for now, stop reading and go see Sin City or I'll cash all your checks in the morning (my crazed review of the movie is in the previous update). Oh, and I finished season 2 of 24 and the Pope died. Wtf, mate?

So what'd I do today? Well, I got up and went to school. In gym despite my kicking ass in floor hockey I pulled something in my knee and the dull pain hurts pretty bad. It's not so bad if I'm sitting but standing and walking is pretty hellish. I ran out of deodorant after gym, I got one armpit done and then had to bum some kid's Axe. In my many many art classes I finished inking my comic. I quickly brought it up to the copier and made the copies that are gonna have the voice bubbles attached to them. That's gonna happen this weekend or at least that's the plan. I worked on the title bar to my website (it's a project) in Photography, it's gonna be a promo site for my "Fresh Knight" feature. In Ceramics I pretty much finished painting the scary/funny demon mask I made. After school I hung out a bit, got some Star Wars comics (Infinities 1-3) and a game (Star Wars Jedi Academy) to cement the Star Wars mood I've been in the past two weeks and eventually went home. And that was about it.

...

...

Oh and I saw Sin City which is the most kickass, badass, wicked-ass, ass-ass movie EVAR! I'm gonna try very hard not to go all fanboy-hardon mode about this, but it ain't gonna be easy. So let's go back to the beginning. I get up and before I got to school I scramble 5 mins. before I have to leave to put Cells by The Servant on my iPod so I can listen to it all day in anticipation, the song's not even in the movie proper but it's still cool. I get to school and Chris is nowhere to be found. He's supposed to drop me off at the theater after school and before he goes to work. I'm thinking "if this is an April Fool's Day joke it's a pretty good one". Surprise surprise, it is. He shows up and we have a little laugh. Then he says that he found out he has work at 4 instead of 5 and that he won't be able to take me anyway. I'm aware this could be another joke but argue with him anyway, wondering why he can't at least drop me off at the mall (which he lives across from and is within a mile of the theater). He refuses for awhile before telling me he's just kidding and that he called off work so he can go see it with me at 4. Ha ha asshole. I give him credit though, it was all a pretty solid prank that played with my conventions and emotions in the right way. I spend the rest of the day just waiting and waiting until finally getting to go to the theater. That pretty much brings us to me in the chair watching the screen, though I will note that I pranked Mark for AFD by telling him Marvel Studios announced the Jackel as the Spider-man 3 villain. He ate it up like Christmas pudding, whatever that means.

So I'm sucking down my Sprite and the flick starts and I'm glued to the screen the whole way through. Quick stream of consciousness review (spoilers, bitch): Opening credits are awesome with comic art by Frank Miller. I had seen the "The Customer is Always Right" scene before, it still rocks though, "I'll cash the check in the morning". Starts off with the first chapter of "That Yellow Bastard", sad to say Michael Madsen's acting is a little stiff, I love the guy in everything else I've seen him in, "Hell of a way to end a partnership, hell of a way to start my retirement" Brilliant. Mr. Klump and Mr.Shlubb are perfect, not necessarily how I imagine their voices in my mind but still great. Then "The Hard Goodbye" Holy shit. Mickey Rourke fucking NAILS Marv. He IS Marv as far as I'm concerned. They keep all my fav lines "It's gonna be blood for blood and by the gallons! It's the old days! The bad days! The all-or-nothing days! They're back!" as well as both instances of the line in this entry's title. I love Elijah Wood, he makes Kevin (whose little claws are Lady Deathstrike-esque here) so eerie and creepy. Jamie King and Carla Gugino in their respective roles are excellent and gloriously nude. They threw in Dwight's line about Marv from "A Dame to Kill For" in here, nice touch. The scene where Marv kills the priest (played by Frank Miller) is done flawlessly. It all comes back to Marv though, man, he's so great in this movie. So next is "The Big Fat Kill". More great lines like Dwight and Jackie-Boy's exchange in the bathroom. This one is definitely the most humorous of the three stories, maybe 'cause the situations are so absurd at times. Brittany Murphy does a great little cracked-voice and pouty noir-femme performance. Gail rocks. Miho rocks. 'Nuff Said. Alexis Biedel plays a pretty good Becky, and she's quite attractive, I may have to start watching Gilmore Girls (Allie's been trying to get me to for months). Clive Owen's Dwight it damn good, but I think Benecio really steals the show (as he often does) as Jackie-Boy. The scene with his head rolling up and down and changing the pitch of...

Alright, less-than-useless update! I uploaded five drawings ranging from last year to last week in addition to the Sin City pic I mentioned yesterday.

That aside, nothing much happened today but then again not much happens to me any day. I started inking the comic and ugh is it tedious. I really gotta force myself to work on this thing but I don't really have a choice otherwise. I went through my recent sketchbooks and cut out all the drawings I plan to put up here, I'll add them all here and there as I get the chance in school.

Just two more days till the big day. If you don't know what that means by now there's not much I can do for you. I really hope my plans work out on Friday, I'll walk to the fucking theater if I have to. In my search for a new job I found a place on Penn Ave. being opened that's an art store/workshop. Perfect for me, ne? Let's just hope they're hiring...

Chris and Alana were getting on my nerves today. Chris is bad enough when he's joking at my expense while we're alone. I don't mind it too badly to be honest as I know it's coming from a place of pure jest, but when someone like Alana or Colin or anyone teams up it really gets on my nerves. I had already been limiting my contact with Alana due to the way she gets when Colin's on my ass and today really cemented that. Like I need her of all people giving me shit as thanks for all I favors and stuff I do for her. Feh.

Hmm, what else happened today? Oh, Mat Benne snorted Jello at lunch, much merriment was had by all in attendance. He coughed and naturally jello came out. Good stuff.

Well, hate to say it but I have nothing else to put here at the moment. I'll catch you tomorrow, enjoy those new pics.

Being the hip kid that I am, I'm always on the cusp of what's cool and am right on the forefront of what's new and exciting in the world of pop culture.

So there's this show called 24 that I got into recently. I'm relatively sure it's fairly new and has not been in existence for 4 seasons. I just finished the 4th disc of season 2 and damn it's entertaining. I won't sell this thing to you, but if you're a badass enthusiast (to clarify, a person enthused by badasses and not an enthusiast who also happens to be a badass) then you need to check this shit out. Jack Bauer, to quote my brother, "kicks ass and takes names and doesn't take receipts". Now I don't really know what that means exactly but he says it a lot when we're playing videogames. Point is, 24's cool and if you're into cool things you should check it out. It occurs to me I only signed up for Netflix to get discs of this show, as few actual movies have made their way to me.

In other news...I got nothing. Nothing really too fascinating happened today. And you may ask yourself "Why, pray, does this then necessitate a journal entry?" It's my journal and I'll crud it up with my boring existence whenever I damn well please. Bitch.

I got the copies for the penciled pages of my comic done, so I now have to start the semi-lengthy inking process. Once that whole project's complete I'll put it up here. It's not the greatest thing I ever created and certainly doesn't have the deepest plot I ever crafted but look at it this way: it's got mermaid tits in it. Yep. Eat it up. Also, in preparation/anticipation of Sin City, I dressed my large friend Rich up as Marv today (stuck a bunch of tape to his face) and did a little Sin City parody pic. I'll throw that up here tomorrow while I'm in school.

Y'know I'm finding it pretty easy to do this journal, even if it is a lot of disjointed thoughts and rants about my nerdy nonsense. In the past it was always a hassle to keep stuff like this going, I just didn't like sharing shit about myself with people I wasn't talking to personally. Guess I overcame that *shrugs*. There's also the chance that I've developed an even greater affinity for hearing myself talk. Go fig. Okay, to make this entry a little less useless howzabout you lovely readers leave a comment here, maybe make a few requests? I'll give it a shot if it interests me, nothing to lose, right?

Okay, I've sapped enough of your precious time, the Knights of the Old Republic beckon. And food. That beckons too. Seeya tomarry!

Well, it's the last day of my spring break. I barely did anything. Friday I hung out with Reese and Robbie and ended up sleeping over. We played Resident Evil 4 and screamed like little women. I also schooled them in Smash Bros. I usually end up being the moderately-skilled-in-comparison player when I play in groups, but I swear playing against the drug-addled is where it's at. Against them I'm on fire, I coulda played as anybody and trounced them. From now on I only play SSBM against the drunk/stoned *nods*. At my behest we also rented Star Wars Republic Commando which rocks. Normally I hate FPS games and this would be a fairly mediocre one if it wern't for the squad-based action and Star Wars coolness. It's not the best SW game in the world (Shadows of the Empire, Rebel Strike, and Battlefront rank higher for me) but it's still cool. If I can find it used for cheap someday I'll definitely get it.

So that was most of Friday into Saturday. Saturday afternoon I had plans to go to Jumbo China Buffet (best sushi I've found so far in town, inarizushi baby) but Reese and Robbie didn't want to go and the people I was supposed to meet totally ditched me. Argh. They smell. So the rest of Saturday was spent alone and essentially sushi-less.

Sunday was equally boring, started this site and all that junk. Had some stuffed shells for dinner, quite yummy. The brothers were staying over at someone's house so I was once again all by my lonesome. I phoned Chris and worked out the plans to see Sin City this friday (don't get me started on how excited I am for this flick). While I was downstairs I was talking to Chris on my headset and my mom asked who I was talking to. I said "Chris" and she's like "Oh, are you talking to an Xbox person?" ...wtf? I ask what the hell she means by this and she never really gave me an actual answer, I can only imagine what the hell she thought an Xbox person was. She was like "Can't you talk to those people all over the world?" Let's just assume it wasn't flagrantly obvious that I was talking on my cell phone (which it was) where in the world does she get Xbox person? Like I was talking to someone on Xbox Live? I don't even have that. Ugh, I dunno, it hurts the brain to ponder it, but rest assured this will be a running joke between us for many months.

Xbox people aside, I just chilled the rest of the night and fell asleep too early for not having to go to school the next day. There was supposed to be a Sin City special on Scifi at 11 but there wasn't. They had little interviews and showed the scene with Marv escaping the apartment during their showing of The Phantom (Zane!!) but that's it. Disappointing. Also I missed Robot Chicken garsh dernit.

Despite my uncharacteristic act of getting shit done by making this site finally, I didn't really work on my senior project comic this weekend. Before the break I cut out all the panels and glued them on the pages. Next step would be to make copies and ink them, then print out the word bubbles and glue those on. This comic as well as the rest of the presentation needs to be done next thursday or I'm royally dicked. I think it can be done and all I'm just cutting it moderately close (as I am wont to do). The majority of my free time in the art room will be spent finishing this thing, how I'm gonna copy the pages so that I can publish it is up in the air.

Well, that's all I've got going for me at the moment. I'm gonna grab some breakfast and just try to enjoy my last day of freedom. Hopefully I can catch Allie later for a game of Go or something. Wow, this was a long entry, and all so trite and unecessary. Sorry folks.

Okay. So. I've been meaning to make a site here for oh I'd say 2+ years. The only reason I hadn't is because of pure, unadultered laziness. Looking back it's probably for the best as up until this year I've never had so much work that I'd also feel good about sharing on all the various internets. I tend to turn my back on old work that I've done when I feel it doesn't meet my current standards. But that's not the case now, I still like the shit I did in september. Does this mean I and my standards haven't improved in the slightest since then? Quite possibly. Another reason I've been putting this off is 'cause I don't feel like scanning a bajillion of my little superhero doodles. But eh, I guess I have no choice now.

So for this first little update I'll just put up a couple drawings I did for my best buddy Allie. She and I are the coolest kids in the world 'cause we used to (read: still) do Final Fantasy Roleplays online. I know, you can't handle the infinite coolness. So being the tenacious artist that I am, I design all the characters and such and show them to Allie. And so it has been...until now! So there's gonna be a couple of those up, as well as a really nifty series of watercolor paintings I did of (more) Final Fantasy characters. It's mostly my interpretations of the various summons. I think that's about all there's gonna be for now, maybe I'll throw in some Samus if you're nice.

Well, this has been highly successful and I look forward to posting my little sketches and blogging the shit out of this thing. Expect more regular updates once I get a scanner working, until then I'm limited to the school photo class. Later, true believers.

Okay, so LJ this is not, guess I'm gonna have to type this part out myself.
