Are you reading a book right now? How far are you into it and what do you think so far? If you're not, what was the last book you read and how did you feel about it?

I am reading the Warriors series again. Right now I am on the 5th book of The New Prophecy. I haven't started it yet but I am realizing just how repetitive and well below my reading level they are but they're still pretty good.

Do you have a favorite book? Do you have... a book you really liked, at least?

My favorite book(s) are The Sight (Phillip Pullman) The Inkheart trilogy and the His Dark Materials trilogy. I have read soooooo many other great books that it would be hard to list even a fraction of them. Oh, and I recently read The Bestiary by Nicholas Christopher. It was amazing.

What would you say is your favorite genre to read? What to tend to steer away from?

I really enjoy the animal fantasies and crime dramas.

I have a hard time hating any particular genre. I like to give every book a chance.

Do you read more fiction or non-fiction/information books?

Fiction

How about a favorite author, or perhaps a few?

That's a hard one. Gregory Maguire, Orson Scott Card and John Saul are the first that come to mind.

Great Expectations was one of the worst books I have ever read....ever.

Oh yeah. I reread books all the time. For some, once is definitely enough. But with series' especially, I'll reread.

What were some of your favorite books as a child?

I loved the Mrs. PiggleWiggle books, they were cute. I don't really remember much else XD

Do you usually pick books from the kids, teen, young adult, or adult books? How old are you, if you don't mind?

I am 18, and I usually pick adult/young adult books. I wander through the aisles and if I see something that looks interesting, I pick it up.

Do you buy books much or mostly just borrow?

I borrow. I am always nervous about buying because I don't want to waste money on a book I'll hate.

Have you read any books after seeing them in movie form? Which did you enjoy more?

I ALWAYS read the book first...always...and the book is always better

Do you read any other forms of literature aside from novels? Such as graphic novels, comics, (fan fiction???) etc.?

I like graphic novels though I don't read them all that often.

What is a book you want to read, but haven't yet? What intrigues you about it?

Well, recommended to me was the Mortal Instruments series and I really want to read it.
Also, God Laughs When You Die and The Teddy Bear Cannibal Massacre. With titles like that, why wouldn't you want to read them?

If you could rewrite the end of one book (or any other part, I suppose), which would you choose? If you were satisfied with every book you read's end, yay.

I'm usually content with the endings of books I read. Mostly because I would have no idea how to re-write them.

Ragdolls, it's a non-fiction about the Holocaust. I actually met the guy that wrote it and his book made me bawl.

Uncle John's Bathroom Readers. Also non-fiction but so full of random stuff that you can't help but laugh at some of it.

so today, school was going great, had a fun lecture in Political Science, I finished my chem lab early, driving 65 mph down the highway and the fucking drive shaft in my car snaps in fucking half. I was able to get it onto an off ramp and out of the way where I walked from my piece of shit car, to a complete strangers house, in the pouring rain, to ask for an auto shop or something. Mind you, I can't get ahold of my parents, so this nice little old lady drove me to the garage and waited until I was able to get someone to come get me. I then proceeded to sit in a gas station for an hour while I waited for my step-dad to come and pick me up. By this point, all of my shit is soaking wet, my shoes are full of water and I'm stranded 20 miles from home. As my step-dad is driving me home, I finally get ahold of my dad and ask him where he wants my car towed and he gets mad at ME! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! so now, I'm home, have no idea where the fuck dad is and if he has my car towed to a salvage yard, all of my shit is in the trunk of my car. I don't know how I'm getting to school tomorrow and right now, I don't really give a shit about anything.

has generously offered to commission artists that don't get much attention. I expressed interest and would like to give others an opportunity as well. Painting and sculpture are my two strongest areas, as long as they aren't people, in which case I need help from my friends that can do people... I don't have much of a portfolio but I can give you my 2 strongest examples.

Painting:

done in acrylics on a 16"x20" canvas

Sculpture:

Sculpey Polymer clay and acrylic paint

Sadly, I don't have any price estimates because I have never done these before. It all depends on what I'm doing and the price of materials. I promise that they won't be more than $50. That is a very high price for me. Most everything should be $20 or less. Clay will be cheaper than paintings, pretty obvious but again, depends on size and difficulty. I would really appreciate some interest!

The procedure only lasted about an hour, they put me under but I could still hear what was going on, I'm not sure if what I heard them talking about was real or not because I was hearing some odd things but I didn't like the sound of my teeth being busted apart. My head is killing me, I finally managed to eat some soup though, and the snack pack made me feel a little better. They gave me hydrocodone but they said that since the severity of the surgery was as much as it was that I would probably be in a lot more pain than most people. So I am taking Ibeuprofin on top of the hydrocodone. They said that this was one of the worst cases they have seen. My 12 year molars were lying parallel with my jaw and when my wisdom teeth came in, they stacked right on top of them and were also lying sideways. On both sides. My top wisdoms also never came in because of the angle they grew at. As a result of the stacking, my jaw bone never had a chance to develop fully so he said that mine is only about a quarter the thickness that it should be. In that scenario, I have a very good chance of breaking my jaw on something as simple as biting a carrot, especially now that the teeth are gone.
