I went out for a coffee with a friend yesterday, which suddenly turned into a beer, which ended up becoming quite a few beers. I never made it home and had to go straight to my French lesson today without any sleep. Ten minutes ago I came home, feeling pretty tired and depressed about the fact that I only had time for an hour of sleep before going work. As always I just had to quickly stop by DA before sleeping, when my heart skipped five beats. Daily Deviation!! I read them every day, and I found some of my favourite artists through it, and I can't believe I was actually awarded one for the first tutorial I ever made.. :D

I just got back after two great months of travelling in Latin America. I have experienced a lot, seen amazing places and met some cool people, but it is good to be back again as well. I really missed painting (Even if I tried to sketch a lot on the road), so I look forward to becoming more active than ever now! :)

I am starting university next week, Social Anthropology (not entirely sure about what it is yet, but I hope it will be interesting..). I've just travelled, worked and done random courses for the past three years, so I am really looking forward to going back to school!

I started my summer in Cuba, with a few days in the countryside smoking cigars and hanging out in the rocking chairs on the porch of the family we stayed with. Cuba was unlike any country I`ve ever been to.. It was low season so we hardly met any other tourists, and very few of the locals spoke English so we had get by on the few Spanish phrases we knew and body language.

Now I`m in Jaco on the west coast of Costa Rica, but I`m leaving in an hour for the National Parks around Santa Elena to see monkeys and sloths, and drink what is supposed to be the world`s absolute best coffee. :)

New year, new subscription, four new paintings so far.. Hopefully an indication as to how active I will be for the rest of the year.

As some of you may know, I lived in Vietnam for five months this year, and my focus was on entirely different things than painting and DA. But now I am back in Norway as a part time student, so I should have more than enough time to paint. At least I do have the motivation now!

Now I just have to figure out how to use the fancy new subscriber functions. :D
