I just found the most amazing place to live ;-;

The house is so nice, and it's in beautiful Cambridge, of course. 30 minutes walk from my place of work :D

The room is amazing, it's so modern and the owners have decorated it so well. It has amazing lighting and everything, I'll take some pictures soon~

And the owners, the people I'll be living with, are so nice. They said they'd love for me to move in, and I can't wait to move in on Friday ^_^

Hi everyone,

In less than nine days I'm moving away from the family I've been with for almost twenty years, to a place of my own, catering for myself in a city I don't even know.

I'm excited to move to Cambridge, as it's a beautiful place, but at the same time I'm feeling more stressed, tired, and frustrated than ever.

The main reason behind this is that I've got to find a place to live in less than a week. During Sunday to Monday I'll be in Cambridge visiting places and trying to find somewhere suitable and relatively near to the offices, but it's so hard...

I've been looking online so far and I'm in an iffy situation, as people seem to want either students (there are Universities around the area) or professionals. I'm only 19 years old (student age), but I don't really want to move into a student place, as I know that generally, they don't really take things too seriously -- and I want time to myself after a day of work. And professionals will look down upon me as their first thoughts will be, "Can this kid commit to paying my rent each month?" as well as "A student.. I doubt he'll keep the place tidy," and "He'll probably get home at 3AM on a Saturday night and keep me awake," if you catch my drift.

Okay, so maybe that's exaggerated a little, but if you can understand, I don't think I'm going to be able to find a place in such a short amount of time. And it's not that I've left it to the last minute, as places get snapped up within days and I've no chance to apply to them on such good notice.

There are other things too, like it's my best friend's birthday on the day I leave so the first good opportunity to see him when he comes down from Uni is lost. As well as lots of family stuff...

*sigh* I'm just really stressed out right now, so sorry if I seem bored or snappy on MSN or wherever, because it's not your fault.

Hi everyone :D

So, I finished up working in the Media Services department of a local housing company on Friday, hurrah!

Last week I got a call; I'd been successful in my interview and will now be working as a 2d Artist for a videogame/movie-based software company! The main duties will involve freehand drawing and using computer techniques such as pixel art and some design..

It also means I'll have to leave home and go live in Cambridge, which is an old-fashioned city near London (a 45 minute train journey). I'm excited about living independantly and disocvering a new take on England, as I really liked the place when I visited for the interview.

It also means I'll probably be able to turn up at London devmeets if I stop being lazy, too BD

In other news, I've played around with the CSS of my journal to come up with this. It looks simple but it's actually pretty complex, so if you haven't tried messing about with CSS yet and you're a subscriber/senior, you should have a play!

The reason why I haven't submitted a new CG (non-pixel) for A QUARTER OF A YEAR O_O is because my tablet/scanner don't work on my MacBook = No drawings evar again* sry ;_;

And my PC's HD died and I lost every single file from the past 5 years, including every single piece of my art and everything my friends sent me .-.

Hi all,

Thank you for all of your concern about what happened, I appreciate it so much T3T

I got permabanned from dA just the other week, due to:
"Public accusations of theft and harrassment, submitting journals singeling out other users."

Also, my ID (a photo of me when I was younger) was apparantly violating their terms. Okay.

It told me that all of my artworks, journals, and any contents had been automatically deleted, although for some reason they are all still there...

I thought this ban was not only ridiculous, but totally unjustified as well. So I contacted the help desk about it.

I was on holiday for the week, and return to see that they have decided that a ban was inappropriate.


So thanks to everyone who contacted me by email, MSN, or note to show your concerns! Hopefully something scary like that won't happen again.

Hay guyz,

Thanks for all the help and fun from the last journal XDD I really appreciate it.

This journal is basically to apologise for my lack of activity D8

Someone is down doing work experience for Club Skill right now so I've had to focus my energy into directing him and will have to continue to do so for the next week +.

After that, I'm going on holiday for a week.

Then when I return, I'm starting my employment at a housing company as a designer/PR officer.

Also, I recently bought a MacBook after my monitor broke a couple of months back! (Not an iBook, gah! I'll put some pictures below.)

It's very sexy and all, but it's been a lot of hassle trying to keep up with things since I switched from Windows XP to Mac OSX as they're two very different OSes and I'm only starting to adapt to the Mac interface..

Also, my tablet doesn't work on Macs. So I can't draw on here until I get a new tablet. T_T

I'll post some recent-ish stuff I haven't posted before to make up for it.

Oh yeah, and sorry if I owe you a picture.. I'll finish when my tablet's working again D8 Sorry >_<;;;;

Hi all,

I thought I'd plug this here as I know that quite a few of my watchers are from the UK.

Anyway, Club Skill (my site) is arranging a meetup to take place during the start of July in London.

You'll be able to meet with Club Skill members and staff (including me! XD), play Test Drive before it is released, and take part in Mario Kart DS tournaments (providing enough people bring their DS)! We'll also be giving away some games and gear to people who attend :D

It's free to tag along and join the fun - all you have to do is be able to travel to London. The event will probably be held during the week of July 6th.

It would be nice to see some DA friends there too!

For those who I haven't told, I applied for a job at SEGA about 2 months ago.

The title is "Games Evaluator" - but it's not testing games etc.

Basically the main role is evaluating development opportunities, so basically deciding on what games SEGA makes, and what movie licenses etc the company acquires, what 3rd party games the company publishes.

Other roles include evaluating SEGA's games at various stages in development and suggesting improvements for them, and keeping the quality high, as well as evaluating competitive titles (the best titles in a genre - much like reviewing as I already do), keeping the key to SEGA's games library (where all the games (not just SEGA's!) are for playing), presenting to the marketing team and other departments.

It's a high role - reporting to the Creative Director, and I applied on the offchance that they may read my application - I never thought they may want to take it further (note I have a lot of experience in this industry).

Anyway, I was over the moon each time I discovered the following..

Feat #1: About 2 - 3 weeks after, I got a reply for that application.

Feat #2: Got invited to an interview at SEGA.

Feat #3: Got invited to the next interview with the Creative team.

Now it's been 2 weeks since that second interview, and since then I've had two calls from SEGA's Human Resources person.

The first call was to say that he'll be back to me with an answer within the next few days.

The second call (about 5 minutes ago) was to say they're having problems deciding (important role) and have narrowed it down to 2 people (myself being one of them).

Seriously.. To know that of all the possible hundreds of applicants to a dream job to an amazing company, I'm one of the two people left, is such an honour.

Applicants have come from all over the world for this job, and the other person is an American (I know a person from Japan also applied).

I'll find out either tomorrow or Thursday whether or not they decide to choose me over the other guy.

Last week when we were having a math lesson, I started to stare at all of the 'decorations' which you can find on the wall in that classroom where we were. There are a lot of posters about functions, and newspapers, and everything. But in a picture of a newspaper, I saw something... like... a "purple kirby with blue cap". Yesh, that's right. I wanted to take a shot about it, but I hadn't got my camera with myself in that moment. :dead:

But today, ahahah: I actually got that piece of newspaper (I asked for it :B). And I've taken a photo of it. Take a look at that picture in the middle of the article. And now at this deviation.

Coincidence? Shame! :O Wondering the editors of this newspaper got any permission from the artist... ? I don't think so."

Art thievery is totally wrong and stupid >_< But above all, it makes me so frustrated to see my first published picture in a publication I've never even heard of, without my permission or any credit whatsoever. And they've even sliced out my signature.. They bothered to move the title down, so why not my signature too? ;_;

Does anyone have any advice or anything..? I'm really angry and frustrated that they take my stuff to fill up their pages with something that they'd have to usually pay someone money to do >_>;;


On another note, I just finished watching Kill Bill Volume 2 .. :drool: .. And my Animal Crossing: Wild World finally shipped after three weeks. *sits in anticipation* O_O
