Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Long time no see, eh? Anyway, I devided my issues into four topics. A long journey awaits you, so lets start:

Comic's Situation:
Do you remember my last journal? I was working on a short comic. Finally it is finished!! The comic is 9 pages with colors, but now it is in my mother language. I will translate it into English and show to you. I won't submit here, do you know a good comic web site to submit? Deviantart is not suitable for comics I think. You cannot submit all pages as a one submission. I don't want to fill my gallery with comic pages. So stay tuned, my comic is coming soon!

"The Game" Crisis:
The game, which I and my programmer friend works on, turned into a crisis For months we couldnt develop it. Finally my friend started everything from beginning. He programmed event-handler and he was going to start on directx but this time he says winmain does not see event-handler. So... We stuck again >.< I'd like to show you our first game's some screenshots later. Remind me if I forget.

Book Illustration:
I got a freelance job last year. I think did not mention here. My father's friends decided to write a book about business world. The book focuses on investor and company relations. They demanded from me some pictures and icons. I finished their request last week and I heard the book is now in printing progress. I cant wait to see finished product. This is my first serious project, I am very excited

Future Projects:
I neglected here too much and I would like to do some random pics and update my gallery. I have some simple ideas in my mind. That short comic was filling my free time. Finally I finished, so be ready for random works!


Oh I wrote too much, this one is a long journal. My longest one maybe Anyway, so many messages are waiting to reply (as usual). I will answer all of them, no worries Thats all folks, take care.

All these weeks passed with only skecthing, thats why I didnt submit anything.

A guy from a FRP forum persuaded me to draw a short comic. We work together, he is writing the story and I am drawing it. Now I am drawing the second page. I am doing colored comic however I didnt like coloring, next time I will only use a few colors.

Also I have been working on a game with one of my friends for a long time. Finally we did something! We have a silly main menu and a female soldier walks on an empty map. Oh, there are two trees, but you can walk over them The game is 2D, I draw all elements on photoshop and my friend programs the game. Our aim is to develop a detailed RPG. It is just for fun.

This unexpected event screwed my mood. The Windows cannot start because of the corruption of hal.dll system file. Solution is not hard, it is repairable (I guess). I gave my PC to serviceman and now waiting his phone call. I predict that wont loose any data.

During the repairing process you will not see me and no deviations will be submit. Maybe I will log in from my roommate's PC to reply my messages.

Not only I have PC problems, everything goes wrong these days. No good news, all bad news...

LOL! This time all TV channels gone! I am sitting in my room without TV and PC. What the hell is going on?! Thank God there is still electricity.

I hate Russia's policies over Caucasia! Sorry Abkhazian and Osetian brothers-sisters, but Russia doesnt care you. Not even Russian citizens, Russia only cares "itself". We see on TV, during operations Russia doesnt hesitate to kill citizens.
There are about 13 Caucasian countries under Russia, why Russia doesnt give independence to those countries? In whole history, Russia was against Caucasians. Russia always tried to control them, killed them or pushed away from their homes. Thats how my ancestors ran away from Russia and came to Anatolia. Russia thinks old Soviet countries are its backyard. Somebody should stop Russia. I support Georgia's unity. I want my country to help Georgia. Viva Georgia!..

I'd like to talk about movies in this journal. Last week I watched "Planet of Apes"(2001). Such a nice movie. Especially I like the most how they show the "ape culture" and strong ape community's behaviors against poor and uncivilized humans. The idea of the movie is great, actually they try to give us the thinking from both sides, I mean being objective. You know in every movies or in our real life, human is strongest. However here, human is a pathetic creature according to civilized apes. The main idea is we are all creatures, being strong doesnt give us the right of behaving bad to other creatures. In addition to the idea, effects are great. I love the apes' make-up. Briefly, I recommend to sci-fi lovers.

Last week I watched some movies, not only one. Also I watched "The Island of Dr.Moreau"(1977). Actually it is very old movie, but I like watching old movies. Special effects, sound effects etc. sucks of course, but their ideas are interesting. For example, in this movie Dr.Moreau realizes that all animals' (including human's) first ebryo stage is same. He thinks all codes of creatures are inside the ordinary cells and with a serum, he can activate the hidden codes. So he can turn a bear to a human just with activating the human codes in bear's cells. However something goes wrong and his creatures become half-human half-animals. He tries to civilize these poor creatures and starts to act like "God".
Did they refilm this old movie? I dunno.

I am looking forward to see "The Dark Knight"! Yesterday I watched the trailer and completely amazed! It looks such a great movie. I wonder the performance of Heath Ledger as "Joker". They say Joker is the best character interpretation ever. Unfortunately this talented young guy died. Rest in Peace "Last Joker"...

Also special thanks to ~frontsideair! He helped a lot during the buying process.

Actually to be honest, I bought teh tablet one week ago. However learning took too much time. Still I am not used to use it. >.< It is not so easy as I expected. I was expecting that using it is like using a pencil, but it is not! I cannot do lineart with it, if you know a neat lineart method, please tell me!
However coloring is very easy, also so enjoyable! I took airbrush and painted happily. I didnt force myself and finished coloring in one day! Greatest advantage is this, shortens the coloring time. But I dont suggest for doing lineart, it is too hard! I will submit one of my trials here and you will see.

Finally everything is finished and I returned to my home, sweet home! I am very happy and nobody can destroy my mood! Now I am eating icecream and typing happily

News From Meh:

- I used to had some problems with my computer and this week I took care of it. Especially formatting made a fuss but finally I solved everything. My PC is now stronger hehe

- I am planning something. If I can do it, will tell to you.

- I watched the half series of "Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny" and love it! It is a bit ecchi and has some unlogical scenes but I love the characters and the fights! One of my friends said he downloaded the prequel of this series. I will first watch the prequel, then continue Dragon Destiny.

- I started playing Max Payne 1. It is so cool video game. Especially I love that comic book style. I suggest strongly if you like "noir" genres.

12 days left.. 12 days later this madness will end. Please God, give me more patience! 12 days later I will return to my heavenly home and draw draw and draw! I became an undead! I dont go out, dont eat well, dont draw, dont laugh... Returing to my home will refresh me and I will be rid off this undead life.

In this 12 days I will not submit anything. In my free time I will do only sketches to improve myself. This practicing is for you! I want to submit better pics in the summer holiday! ^_^ I realized have some problems with drawing..

Anyway, lets change the topic.
About one year ago I wrote a short sci-fi story for a contest. The topic is about an ordinary guy who 48 hours later finds himself in a mafia war. Unfortunately it is Turkish, sorry foreign friends... You have to learn Turkish or wait until if somebody translates

Have you heard anything about Square Enix Contest? I wasnt going to do something but one of my friends forced me to join this contest. I dont feel I have any chance to win, but hey, will not loose anything if I join. So now I am drawing something for this contest! Then will color it on photoshop. Just for fun! In addition to this, this will be a great practice for me and can see what I can.

About traditional drawing... I missed drawing swords and shields, so the theme will be medieval times. No more information, you will see when I finished.

Some News from My Life:
-I am now watching "Rosario+Vampire", I bet it sucks for most of you but I dont know, love this anime It is about a regular "human" boy's adventures in monsters' school. He is the only human in the school. I like the drawing style, all female characters are cute! ^o^ _{I love succubus! *_* She is so.. ahem} Also this series is a bit ecchi lol

-I downloaded an old video game which is called Tzar. Tzar is the first strategy game I have played. Thats why it is very important for me. I am so happy because am playing now~!!
However the game is in original language: Bulgarian. It is not even in latin alphabet! I cannot research all stuff, because I dont understand what is what! _{I swear, started to learn cyrillic alphabet}

For weeks I havent submitted anything, thats why I am updating my journal. I'd like to give a spoiler about what I am working on now. Despite I was very busy previous weeks, this week (I dont understand the reason) am not so occupied by lessons.

In this little free time, I redesigned one of my OCs. This time it is going to be a digital work. I just scanned the inked drawing and now am tweaking my mistakes. (because my inking sucks!) Maybe next time it is better to draw completely with pen tool on photoshop
BTW, do not expect a great digital coloring, I am going to try a different concept. I hope you like this simplificative work.

18 March is approaching, maybe I should do something for this day..

1. First of all, I am NOT a Russian spy or a Japanese agent or a German soldier or an alien etc. Some people allege that Im one of them but I am NOT. (if I were one of them, I couldnt say Im one of them, had to deny, lol)

2. I love collecting Star Wars and anime figurines. My most precious figurine is "Ignis" with (around) 25cm height. Especially her outfit is awesome.

3. When I watch a movie, usually like antagonists more than good guys. I dont know the reason. The greatest bad man ever is "Darth Vader". His costume, voice and behaviours are perfect!

4. I love the color "RED"! I have a potential love to everything that includes red!

5. My English pronounciation sucks! My writing is good enough but if you listen me, you will hear a little Russian accent. In addition to this, while speaking I use some Japanese, Turkish and German words.

6. I dont like sun, hot weather and related stuff. Im happier in winter. I dont walk under the sun, prefer to walk under shades (especially in summer), thats why my friends call me vampire.

7. Im Turkish and living in Republic of Turkey. Anatolia has very rich culture, very close to Middle East and Europe. In addition to this our roots go to Central Asia. Unfortunately some people stop replying when they hear Im Turkish. Believe me, this is not a good feeling, this is bad to see racist people in an art web site. We should share our cultures here.

8. Oh, last one? I have more things to say ^^ Anyway, Im very lawful and planned person. First I plan my day then live. If something destroys my plan, I become unhappy. I cannot live without rules. I have a world based on rules in my mind, for everything I have an order. I can only understand something if it has a rational explanation. The rational explanation shouldnt be a material thing, can be intangible. My mind is not narrow. Thats why usually I dont discuss with people, because my ideas sound weird to most people.

I missed my hometown which is named "Istanbul" so much. I was staying in Cyprus for university. Finally semester finished and Im at my home now. Im really and again really happy! yaaaaaay! ^o^

Because of the damn final exams, I wasnt able to draw. Finally, it is now semester brake, about one month Im free to do everything. Wait for my new deviations.

A small hint for my first deviation: It will concern "Iraq Chronicles" (about modern warfare, I am affected much by CoD4)

What will I do in 2008.. I will draw, draw and draw! However my lessons block me too much... A warning to guys who wants to study on Architecture: It takes too much time, you can feel it sucks your beautiful free time.

Here my projects:
1. My project "Iraq Chronicles" will continue in 2008, but before finishing this year, my aim is to draw an US trooper.

2. I will revive one of my old projects, I got a toe hold and redrew 2nd Lieutenant Set from my old comic. If you want to check her, here is the [link]
What will I do? I will redesign and draw the other characters like Set and maybe will draw a small comic that includes these characters.

3.I want to learn better coloring methods on photoshop and improve myself on traditional drawing and shading.

Today my country cried for its 15 sons. This is not the first event, and this will not the last one... Every week we see şehit news on tv, but this is ENOUGH. 15 soldiers....

Today is very important for my religion. Today is a holy day, everybody prays tonight. It doesnt matter which religion you believe, we all believe same prophets, same GOD.
My pray for this night is not for richness, not for being healthy, not for a happy life.. My pray is for the şehits and their families. God, please end this atrocity of terrorists... Please, my friends, just say one time, "please God, damn and curse bloodthirsty terrorists and protect innocents"....

Leave this country terrorists! My ancestors irrigated these lands with their own blood, their bodies covered the earth. It is not possible to get even a piece of gravel from this country. We will live here until the doomsday..
