Ok, so I'm gonna try my best and come back to the dA community. It's just been slightly demotivating taking pictures and uploading them lately. Dunno why, but I can tell you one thing: I am gonna clean up my watch list because I'm just watching too many people. I'm slightly sick of logging in on dA and seeing 1k messages like five days after I've deleted every message. Sorry to those I am un-watching. Who knows, I might re-watch some of you one day ^^

So I recently bought myself a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 :eager: And its really fun to use. Kinda hard finding the correct focus at 1.4 though. 1.8 is easier though ^^

Ok, I've had a really uncomfortable experience today. Me and my dad drove home because I just bought my new Macro lense
...when we saw someone crawling over the fence on top of the bridge. We stopped and I rolled down the window yelling: "STOP FFS! Dont Jump! Get the fuck down!" etc, then he looked at me... I will remember the look for the rest of my life. Then he draged his last foot across the fence... I couldn't bare to watch so I had to look away. When I looked back he was gone, a woman was yelling "He's alive". But I didn't want to look because the fall was over 500 meters, aprox 1640 feet right into the ocean.
And from that height the water is like cement. Now i't's been a while since he jumped and I am hoping that he is alive but I highliy doupt it. And now I am doing the most stupid thing of all thinking that I might have reached him before he fell... I could have saved his life... Some might call me dumb that I am writing it here of all places but I need to share this with someone... Well anyways... If he survived... best of luck recovering... if not... may his soul rest in peace.

Does anyone have any
good knowledge about portrait photography?

I have an 18-55mm lens which I normally use for closeup photography.
Now I am not sure what lens I want to wish for for Christmas.
Any suggestions?


I've been considering a wide angle lens but I've been told it kind of ruins the motive.
Does anyone know if there is a thing between a Wide angle lens and 18-55 mm?
