Yea so I decided to start working a little bit on the journal CSS. It should get better as I go. This is the first 'version' if you will. It's pretty primitive but it'll get better. Also if anyone can help me implementing the footer image, it'd be awesome. this one:




I've been looking at some sweet college programs for graphics design and I'm surprised to find there are no courses I NEED to take. All I have to do is submit a portfolio and pass a simple design test. It looks like once I'm done my 12th grade next year, I'll definitely be more mellow and should be able to get a job somewhere to buy myself a decent computer.



Some work, some work, no work. I'm lazy and can never stop procrastinating about doing some work. But anyways, I just did a logo for an energy drink company called Twisted Energy and now I'm working on the typography. Hoping it won't be too hard. I have to do the typography because their lawyer says the new policy is that everything, included stylized text, must be submitted to do something related to legal work or something. Geh, also international checks are a pain. but enough about that.



yea... hoping to go do some crazy stuff. Not sure what though.

Hey everyone, now that school is back in and we are all getting busy, we've decided to launch Xenicore.com IT IS NOW ONLINE

Although there is not as much content provided as we thought for launch, there are some awesome tutorials and a few downloads all for free.

Commercial products? In the works, and let me be the first to say we have some amazing themes being designed.

- Axertion is creating a Halo 3 theme called the "Mjolnir H3 Theme" - Mjolnir standing for the type of armor Master Chief wears in the Halo franchise. The theme resembles various parts of the Master Chief suit, all created in Photoshop. It looks really good so far and it will be even better when it is released.

- I've been brushing up a theme based off the well know Ferrari Enzo. The theme has amazing details pertaining from the Enzo including the lights and indentations. The red brushed and polished skin will be a "jaw dropper" for sure. [Quote by Axertion, I dont promise anything lol)

- And not to forget, we welcome Sabor to our Xenicore staff. After helping us with several excellent modifications to our site, we decided to bring him on board. You'll be seeing some amazing themes from him also.

---------The Site----------------------------------------
The sites theme has come along way. IAxertion created almost 3 different version of Xenicore's main theme and the one we used fits perfectly so far. The theme has a little of every staff members work into it, the header has been revised several times from all three of us (Sabor, Axertion and I) so you'll be able to see that when we launch.

--------The Forums------------------------------------
The forums were just barely implemented into Xenicore. Sabor wanted to have a XC community to begin with so I added in the Fireboard Component. The forums work, but they aren't fully featured. We don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed at Xenicore so we have the "basics" at the moment. Future updates and upgrades will be implemented later on. You'll see that Xenicore will change and adjust around you, the user, so that you can have the best time possible on our site. If you feel uncomfortable with anything on Xenicore.com and have concerns, please contact me anytime at element@xenicore.com

Xenicore is in it's early stages...so some features are still being tested, modified, removed ect.

1. I am actually an Umpa-Lumpa that ran away from the Chocolate Factory, I was raised in Canada, and still reside here
2. I have too many animals. If I count the the tanks of fish (many fish inside, but we'll just call it one animal) I have 9 animals
3. I hate biting on those wood popsicle sticks... it's pretty much the worst thing I can imagine
4. I don't find photoshop any fun at all, I just like the outcome
5. I caught a fly between my two fingers the other day... and yes, it was flying, and very fast
6. I can't think of anything to write right now
7. I recently fell in love with a band called Apocalyptica. They're pretty something; playing metal with cellos, some hardcore stuff. A little weird for most people though.
8. Hardcore mac user. But please dont say anything in the comments, you'll aggrovate me because 99% of the things poeple say about macs are wrong, or make no sense whatsoever, mostly because they've never used a mac, or used it for not long. Or you don't like the fact that the buttons are on the left... well, I've got something to say to YOU: I don't like the fact Microsoft took the same idea and moved them over to the right. Wow, I can't believe I went on for that long. Please excuse my rantingness, it comes from lack of Charlie's chocolate

Well, after all the horrific dreamweaver coding, my site is finally pretty much done. Jeff has generously given me some temporary hosting and a subdomain so i could get things started. The site is using "Razor" for V1, but i will soon be making V2 with much better coding, and a better design (duh...) The tutorials will come soon (read next article), aso that page is missing for the moment. yes, there are bugs, and it's noobish coding, but bare with me, it's my first.

Well, i would like to know if anyone would like to see a video tutorial on making a brushed template (it would be fast forwarded like x2 or x3 or something, or else it'll get really boring) You guys can vote on the poll for that one.
If anyone has a suggestion for a tutorial, feel free to note me, or just comment on this page. I'm hoping that by V2, I'll have at least 4 tutorials.

Subscription:
My subscription is running out really soon. I've realized how much more i get from the being subscribed, rather than not subscribed. the deviation preview thumbnails, the CSS journals (which BBT still hasn't gotten to ) The recent visitors ( i like knowing who's checking in and stuff, so i can punish the others >=O) etc, etc, you guys know what i mean. but my problem: i gotses no moneys! now calm down, I'm not asking anyone to donate me a subscription (hint hint), but some people have asked me for some freelance work to be done, and i declined all 3 of their offers. but now i see how desperate i am, and I'll do anything if ill get paid.

March break:
woot. it's march break. but guess what. im left here, alone, while all my friends are gone to diff places, and of of town, because they spend their money one march break rather than the summer. and i leave during the summer, so they're left with each other. it sucks, but i don't care anymore. cuz i got you retards to entertain me all the time (jk) but still you know what i mean. you always know what i mean

Family:
Well, my bro's gone to Italy, and hes been touring around since Wednesday last week. So now, I've had a lot of time to improve in CS:S. since i can use his computer. And now I'm addicted to Gun Games (especially GG Deathmatch Turbo lol). My parents have been fighting cuz of one small incident, where my dad borrowed some cash from my mom's bank account to pay off some bills, because he was expecting some checks from some freelance work (geology presentations at a few schools), but a few where late, so he borrowed some cash without telling her. now, it makes me feel like they're breaking up or some shit, and it makes me pissed off.

Ok, enough of this boring story. I'm also looking for contest suggestions, and prises i could give out for them. anyone got ideas? ORRRRR OR OR OR... i have an idea. can i do anything for anyone? and in return i would get a subscription extension? mybe... mybe..................... *falls asleep* (actually literally, i did fall asleep, i just woke up, and i'm finishing my journal lmao)

A little good news for me:

1. Ok, so i passed all my courses, and im friken happy about that.
2. Jeff put the forums back up! (invitation only i think) yay!
3. i decided to trash my old template, (i might put it in scraps or something, and start a fresh one. (it's coming along pretty good, i got the header done, and the sides. so footer, here i come!)

jeff is a huge inspiration in my stuff. In the template im going to release, you might recognize some of jeff's old techniques, or you might find parts which resemble somewhat to one of his lol. I know i shouldn't be trying to do stuff like others, and try to have my own style or something, but i think this will develop my future style or something.

I've seen some amazing deviations lately, and haven't faved any of them. I find that i have too many favourites. So I might start taking some old stuff out.

Yesterday, played all day long, and i improved a lot. gotta love gun game turbos and stuff

i have two problems though. every time i favorite a server, and i restart steam, its gone. so that pisses me off. the other problem, is that im looking for some cheap teamspeak. cuz right now, the server is on my comp, and my ping is always too high to play in the games while using it. so if anyone has any idea of where i could get some cheap, it would be great.

I haven't been designing lately, because i dont have much time. but im sure i'll be getting back once the break is over.
