It's HARD.

I started with the wrong recorder, one unsuited for capturing game footage. result: crap video quality, low fps, game unplayable. Then I got camstudio -great softare btw- that's when the sound got messed up. The entire sound clip seemed to get compressed into about 1/8th of the video; so I had to deal with clipping and clicking sound playing many times faster than originally recorded. You can edit stuff non proceduraly (you can go back and adjust a variable without undoing) effectively only loosing a few bits on export
you can undo history steps even after closing the program
you can save states of the image to go back to instantly
you can save presets of adjustments to apply to images in no time
