In other news, Bungie is hosting a Halo 3 preview party in Seattle. At the IMAX. They are going to play Halo 3 on an IMAX screen. That's freaking awesome...

I hope that once the Wh40k Campaign progresses to Week 9, I will be able to take full army pictures for me, ~spikky48, ~MoshMosh, and Alec. Then, Week 10, hopefully ~Cho-roku will be around to take pictures for the finale battles.

I will, of course, be posting all of that on my website. Do you guys want me to post the best pictures here too? Perhaps to be scrapped later?

Also, yes, ~spikky48 and ~MoshMosh, this means to paint like the dickens. Speaking of such, I shall probably go do that now.

Anyway, yes, back from Hilton Head. Fun fun. Boogie boarded. Crabbed for the first time. Saw Spiderman 3 for the third time.

But it was still worthwhile to see it, 'cause Steph Botica goes to Columbia University, which is where they film all of the college sections of the Spiderman movies. Unique insights and such. Also ate at Fogo de Chao. It's indescribable. Brazilian steakhouses are something else... meat, meat, meat, and more and more meat. Also watched The Producers and Click. And putt-putted, on one of the most rediculously evil putt-putt courses I've ever seen. But one experience tops 'em all as the most storied, fantastic tale of all time...

A dolphin tried to eat me.

No joke. Ask me to tell you the story sometime; right now I'm tired of retelling it.

Also, while I can get Paintshop up and running, at the moment I have no scanning capability, so the syndicated stuff is still on hold.

As for other mixed blessings, my birthday is the 28th. Good for all the obvious reasons, especially 'cause I can get an unrestricted license. But I have no earthly idea who to invite, how many people to invite, and what to do. Last year I had 5 people. Freshman year I had 3. I'm kinda torn, 'cause if I just invited a couple of people, they'd likely be oil-and-water types. Plus people who don't get to come get their feathers ruffled. On the other hand, if I invited most of my friends, I have no idea what we'd do with that many people.

EDIT: Chattanooga Band Festival was okay. We got the best bus ever. It was like a wierd combination of Greyhound and limo. Once we got there, everything that we thought would go well went badly and all the things we thought would go badly went well. We almost completely omitted all triplets from Ave Maria. If you know what that means, you're probably laughing at us right now. But hey, the march and the Granger suite was okay, and we actually aced site reading without any real preparation. Then, I caught a really bad cold. Hence I am not at school right now. Hard to learn when you can hardly breathe.

At any rate, for convenience, here are some things that you can consider if you can't think of something to get me. And yes, this year I've saved up enough to where you all are getting birthday gifts from me.

Unfortunately, I currently don't have a decent art program on the new computer, so things are on hold for a bit. ~SorrowfulNightfalls, your avatar is going to be done as soon as I get Paintshop or something like that up again.

Also, I lost all of my saved art files. *shrug* Oh well. All the worthwhile stuff was on DeviantART already. And now I have to download every song I ever downloaded again to the new computer, which takes a while even with ubercomputer and broadband. Right now it's on Green Day. 64 of 116 tracks downloaded, 16 minutes remaining.

Besides the new computer, I also now have a cell phone, and we're getting a couch. And I got to pilfer the extra keyboard that came with the computer to use with my 360. Woot.

Well, maybe you oughta wait until after thanksgiving shopping traffic has died down... which would be about, oh, January 15th?

Still been playing Dark Crusade... that single player map-based campaign is the greatest thing ever.

Even if the narrator voice is incredibly over-dramatic and obnoxious. Playing through it as Guard is very different from playing it as Tau, which is very different from playing it as Eldar. As it should be.

Gave my mom a list of possible scenery stuffs to get from Amera for a christmas gift. Perhaps me and ~spikky48 will end up being able to play Cities of Death before my birthday comes around. 'Twould be nice, indeed.

Yep, first journal for November. Only one journal in all of October. Where has Eldanesh been? Well, right here, just didn't seem like there was much point in talking to people who don't exist. And while most of you are still dormant, I have junk to say anyway, so tough, you'll just have to be oblivious.

Videogames:

First of all, take a peek at this. Pretty good, eh? I really think that having level limits for anything besides weapons is stupid. If you don't want low-level characters to uncover powerful items, make them hard to get, don't institute doctrinal retardedness. Human beings are dumb enough already. Silly inferior humans.

PS3 rant ahead... run for cover...

Also, ha ha ha. I laugh at the PS3, and its $600 over-priced-tag, and its lack of rumble. Really, come on, we've had rumble for a decade now... ha. Silly Sony, why did you remove an feature absolutely necessary for racing games and FPS's? You limit yourselves to RPGs for the most part, and then expect to shove a $600+ price tag down the throats of everyone who will want to play the inevitable KH:3 and FFXII? Tad heartless, dontcha think?

I'd much rather sacrifice my dignity and swing around a Wii controller. For $350 less, who cares about dignity? Certainly not me.

I got the new Eldar Codex and Cities of Death at the new Hobbytown in Turkey Creek. For no apparent reason, I shall now list my preliminary thoughts on them:

Cities of Death is just awesome. It's a minor addenda to the rules, looks easy to use, and is very mindful of gaming constraints. Namely, money. It's designed to where you need not get a whole city at once and go crazy. Nice change of pace, GW.

The rules are short, so there's a buttload of fluff and modeling advice. Neatola. Accumulating a city ranks pretty low on my list of priorities at the moment, but this'll help plan for playing on Hobbytown's Cites of Death board. Yet another thing to look forward to.

I'm a bit mixed on the Eldar codex. I suppose I ought to get my major gripe out of the way straight off: the eldar heavy weapons cost a *lot* of points. I mean a LOT. Can't mention specifics due to copyright issues, but it's disappointing. I might not use my Vyper for a while. On the other hand, I'd sure like to get a couple of Warwalkers with Eldar Missle Launchers. ELMs are the only weapon to go down in points, and I think they'd be the perfect weapon for the walkers. Plus, that way I don't need that many Bright Lances, which are the most expensive of all. I'd probably put one on a Wave Serpent, just 'cause it'd be twin-linked and more likely to make its points back.

Unit evalutations:

Farseer: Farseers are gonna kick much more butt, but they're less resilient and most will cost more.
Avatar: Finally, he kicks as much butt as he deserves. Too bad he's slow as dirt.
Aspect Warriors: Most of the aspects got better Exarch options, but not much change. Worthy of note are the Dire Avengers, which are now much more useful thanks to their increased range and Bladestorm. Fire Dragons also get true meltaguns now.
Wraithguard: Got an extra point of toughness, but that's it. Still a very expensive unit pointswise, and rediculously expensive dollarwise. $15 a pop? Don't make me laugh.
Guardians: Pretty much no change, except larger minimum squad size and the aforementioned spike in weapon costs. Expect to see less, compared to Dire Avengers.
Jetbikes: Could be tremendously useful, but they cost as much money as Wraithguard. Ick.
Vypers: See weapons costs.
Falcons: About same as always. Spirit Stones are better.
Fire Prism: Halelujah, finally it's useful.
War Walkers: They're cheaper and have cooler models, but the other Heavy Support options will tempt most people more.
Wraithlord: Well, it's finally balanced. I wish you didn't have to give it so much crap, though. I'd be perfectly happy with one without heavy weapons.
Support Platforms: Suprisingly, now Vibrocannons are quite usable, 'specially in Cities of Death. D-cannons still are too short-ranged to be useful, unfortunately. I'm full of happiness that dear ole Dickie Sompy didn't completely give himself over to his blatant Senior favoritism. A tie for Spirit Week, I can live with. And beating Webb is nice too. And nearly beating them at the Can Drive is, um, unexpected and awesome.

That picture in the paper of the CCC with bow ties and no shirts was hilarious and sums up the rivalry pretty well, if you ask me.

But you already knew all that. So on to some stuff that might not be so apparent.

1) I've finally, after much debate, decided on what I want to change my Gamertag to. "Rabid Amphibian." You just can't beat that.

2) I think we Tech Club guys oughta start thinking about the Lock-In. I suppose the best time for it would be the first friday after Halloween that doesn't have a home football game. I suppose that ~spikky48 and I are probably the two most likely candidates for organizing it, since there aren't really any active Tech Club Seniors who play Halo.

3) In a related note, Kyle Botica and Ben Patterson are gonna be going to Tech Club from now on. Apparently they missed the memo about monday meetings, but they do intend to come. And since I didn't get to last week, I'm probably bringing my 360 monday.

4) I'm planning a major revamp of my warhammer website, since Alec is on the cusp of Taudom. It's gonna involve some hopefully kick-butt art for the home page, which, at its completion, I shall post on DeviantART as well. I shall say nothing more of it for now, but rest assured that I have already started work on it and it shall kick much butt.

Other things are in the pipeline, but for now, I shall devote myself to my website.

This is a good week. Two new albums from two of my favorite bands. There's a certain brand of happy that comes when you get new music, and I got a double dose of it.

Dang. Yesterday I had more fun than I've probably had in a year or more. It had been *waaaay* too long since I'd been in a proper Halo LAN. And all the other stuff we did too... so much fun. I sucked at tackle football, as can be expected, but I had a handful of good catches. And the pool was great. And pizza. Man, am I tired...

Kyle brought his Map Pack disk, so now I *finally* have all the maps and can play H2 on XBL again. Not that I did often, but still, if ~spikky48 renews his subscription, we could play. I owe Kyle one, that's for sure.

We had Kyle's 360 hooked up to Ben's HD projector. If you've never seen H2 in HD and in 5.1 surround sound, you have no idea what you're missing. The sniper rifle shots echo. No, really; you can hear exactly where they're echoing from. You can see *everything*. Except the Active Camo, which looks sweet in HD... it's all just awesome. And then I put my PGR3 disk into his 360. Suffice to say, 360 games look even better. We just kinda stood there drooling for ten minutes...

Curses, if only I could get mine to work on my TV downstairs... maybe I should look into that adapter that lets you plug your 360 into your LCD computer monitor... That would be almost as good...

Anyway, I tell you all this not to make you jealous, for guess what? Now that I've got the H2 maps on my 360, I can host LANs again. Good news for you all, I hope; sometime we could get ~spikky48 and *Cho-roku's X-boxes over and have a real good time. And do other stuff too; I'm partial to trampolining and swimming. And some of you have yet to play Infection, which we must do as well.

Anyway, I'm back in business.

Friday in AP English III we had the most amazingly long arguement about Barbies and fashion. It was almost surreal...

And speaking of that, I've gotta start my essay. And my vocab. And my Pre-calc. Poop. I miss the carefree days of freshman year...

Curses on Charter, my internet is being screwy. Every once in a while this happens, and then it goes away with as little warning as it came with. Anyway, if you were talking to me in IM or something when I suddenly logged out with no explanation, well, my internet died. I know this has happened to ~ToxicSoySauce, I don't remember who else. At any rate, just know that I don't mean it.

Other news? Well, dentist appointment today. Yeah, no comment.

I got these neat passive speakers for $10 that plug into anything with a headphone jack and don't need batteries or an power outlet. So, next time we go on a long car ride, I can just plug 'em into my Mp3 and rock the car.

But the possibilities are endless. Think, ~Dabadragon; you could plug 'em into your DS and spread the 16 bit music to the world. Although that's kinda pointless, since the DS already has speakers... But still, they're neat. And before ~spikky48 asks where I got the money, it was from a nearly dead Best Buy gift card.

I'm working on heavy weapons teams for Warhammer. I'm slightly redoing the older ones while I'm at it. Also, I'm considering giving my tanks a wash or two of very thin black paint, as I've seen it done on the internet and think it makes things look neat. But if it doesn't work, then I'd be up the proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle, so this merits further deliberation.

This was my first time using plasticard, and brass rod, and Green Stuff (modeling putty), and a pin vice. And I think it turned out pretty, well, pretty... Keep in mind, that that image on your screen, even if you're running 1280x1040 like I am, is larger than real life. That guy holding it is 1 1/4" tall. And all of that was hand painted, without templates or references of any sort, except that Aquila (two headed imperial eagle) on the back, and the skull on the triangular support, which were both waterslide transfers.

The flash from the camera makes parts of it look brighter than it is, and the cloth on the soldier looks 1000 times better in real life. But oh well.

Also, I'm leavin' for Tejas tomorrow. Fun fun fun.

Ah, I love making journal titles that have double and triple meanings...

Meaning 1) Tennessee really likes shooting off fireworks at the Fourth of July. Even though it's illegal. We never really did that in Texas. First of all, grassfires are no fun, and secondly, when you've got Fort Hood within 30 miles, who needs anything else in the department of big booms? That said, we may or may not take part in various outlawed forms of merrimaking this Fourth... it's almost becoming a tradition...

Meaning 2) Warhammer. Yeah, I know. "Can't we please get through ONE journal without you bringing Warhammer up?" Well, apparently not. I feel like converting my standard bearer to where he's carrying a flag for *my* army, not the Cadian 8th. So, I shall be designing and converting and painting that, and if it turns out really nicely, I might put some pictures of it in my journal.

Meaning 3) Art. Yes, in *Eldanesh's DeviantART journal, art comes LAST. Ironic, huh? Anyway, expect some. And if you don't get some, pester me to upload it, 'cause I've already started...

Two reasons: 1) The army is finished, more or less, and 2) If you signed up as Daemonhunters, you wouldn't be able to play against me, seeing as the IG and the Inquisition are on the same side. Plus, I don't really care that much if the necrons meet their objective... the civilians left behind are going to die one way or another...

In other news, my uncle and my grandma are going to come with us when we go to Port Aransas.

My grandma doesn't travel often, so this is a pleasant suprise.

First, a public service announcement: I ^{(and ~HaloNemesis)} will be in Texas from July 13 to July 24. If you're planning a party, or are going to have a mental breakdown that you'll need my support for, you might wanna keep that under consideration. Yep, we're going to Schlitterbahn and Port Aransas, and of course, my grandma's house in Temple. Doubtful that we'll be on the internet at all, much less DeviantART. My grandma has WebTV, but that's hardly the best thing to go to something as graphic-heavy as deviantART. So, yep, phone communication only, if any at all.

But that's over a month away.

I have returned from Atlanta ^{(I made an journal saying that I was leaving, but apparently it never got uploaded)}. It was fun. I watched the Braves get creamed by the Diamondbacks ^{(Strange, the Diamondbacks always used to suck...)}. Sold a lot of model trains. Ate at Waffle House, Manhatten Pizza, The Clubhouse ^{(At Lennox Square)}, and at Cracker Barrel. Stopped at the Walmart in Chattanooga to get Blue Bell Ice Cream. So yup, successful weekend trip.

Vacation

My usual feeling towards summer is that it should ideally be a time that you do as little as possible for as long as possible in as great comfort as possible. So why have I spent the first two days of it moving large furniture and glueing (gluing?) my fingers together?

Warhammer, that's why. My dad decided that I could have his curio cabinet to keep my armies in in between games. So now I have a swanky display for my mediocrely painted legions of plastic men.

I also went out and got a sheet of foamcore and a sheet of plastic grid (usually used for embroidery) and slapped together a pretty nice little system of fortifications. Still need painting, though. I learned (finally) that the way to cut foamcore without tearing it is to score through the paper layer, and then cut through the foam with a sawing motion. Rather counterintuitive, but it gets the job done. Maybe I'll make that bunker from the rulebook...

As for art, I think you all might actually get something from me tomorrow. Oh, the anticipation...

Randomness Moment: If somebody *really* wanted to fight oil dependency, all they'd have to do is tie solar panels to the backs of some cats. They'd find the sunniest spots and collect more solar energy than any human ever could.

Yep, too many exams. And tomorrow I have religion and english. *wince* Another one of those, "I really wanna fast forward a day" days. Hopefully there won't be any of those during summer.

Warhammerwise, I'm done with my 1000 points of IG. Woot. Now, if only I had somebody to play against... Ah, but I jest, of course. Making an army takes time. In his case, the time that it takes me to make 1475 points of Necrons, 900 points of Eldar, and 1000 points of Imperial Guard, not to mention aquire a game table...

Sorry, I've just been lookin' at lots of Warhammer stuff and I really wanna play a battle against a complete army for once. I also *really* wanna play a campaign, but, obviously, not enough people for that. If any of the non-Warhammer 4000 players out there are interested in playing a demo game, let me know. I'd love to show you what it's like, even if you aren't planning on taking up the hobby. With Alec and ~Dabadragon perhaps not making armies, I'm stuck opponentless. Well, I take that back. One of the hospital internists my dad knows plays Wh40k. I'm scared to play him, though; in all probability, I'd get my sorry butt handed to me, having never played with my army before.

Artwise, um, who knows. Not horribly inspired at the moment, but I oughta be studying for exams and junk, so this is my usual drawing time. *rolls eyes* Maybe I oughta make a couple of journal headings for the inside of my journals. One for Warhammer, one for Art, etc. Maybe.

Remember yesterday when I had that evil headache? Well, when I got home, it turned out I was running a hundred degree fever too. Huh. Anticipacion

I dunno about you folks, but here's *my* list of things I'm most looking forward to from E3.

1. Halo 3. Duh. I really don't think I have to tell you how glad I am to finally know for sure that H3 is what Bungie's next project is. With any luck, it'll sell lots 'o 360's and heat up the competition between Sony and Microsoft. And that's good for all parties. 'Specially LAN parties.

Also, the trailer had trombones, which makes my inner band geek very happy.

2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Next gen SSB? Count me in. One has to wonder what the heck Zero Suit Samus and Snake will play like. Snake isn't much of a brawler, I gather, since his games are all about sneaking around and *not* fighting. And I have no idea how the Zero Suit will change how Samus plays, besides, erm, some obvious concessions to the Metroid fanboys ^{(which I'm not a member of, if you were wondering)}. And who the heck is Pit??? I think he'll take over Captain Falcon's position of most emasculating character. Ah well, the ^{(long overdue)} addition of Wario makes it all good.

3. Gears Of War. Neato lookin'. The gameplay is interesting as well. Halfway between your average FPS and something more like, say, Time Crisis. Great potential. They'd better give it a good storyline. I'll be keeping my eyes on this one.

4. Nintendo Wii. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm supposed to be a Microsoft posterboy. But I'm a gamecube owner. Kind of. Anyway, the game lineup is looking good. Just, for goodness sakes', Nintendo, get some better translators and PR guys. 'Cause that's *still* the dumbest name for a game system ever.

5. Prey. Indian gets abducted by aliens. That's, um, original, at least. Supposedly, you'll be able to use his indian spiritual hawk companion to solve puzzles. And due to some funky physics, in certain places you can walk on the walls. Which is neat, as well. And there's something in there about portals and wormholes.

And, just a small rant about the Playstation 3: You horrible people. Stealing the motion sensing controller idea from Nintendo?

And I don't think I really have to comment on the 600$ price tag...

If the perpetrator doesn't confess, and I figure out who it is, I'm gonna go get him/her banned. *If* you tell me you did it, through notes or e-mail or such, then I promise I won't try to get you banned. We went to Treemont today, and Kimberly's request. Yep. I'd elaborate, but I'm not really in the mood. Also, I *do* have something in the works, which I shall attempt to color with the copy of OC 4 that I mooched off of *Cho-roku. The interface for it is so different that I'm having a bit o' trouble figuring out how to work everything. But I shall overcome.

If anybody knows *anything* about what's going on, please tell me. Not knowing what's going on is a personal pet peeve of mine, and you can always count on me to try to figure things out. You can either go with that, or go against that. Your choice.

Unfortunately, I doubt you'll be seeing anything out of me for a while. Tomorrow, after church, I'm gettin' service hours, and then going to the Mu Alpha Theta induction ceremony. I'll be all sweaty and stuff and not at all fit to go to some fancy induction ceremony thing.

Any chance I'll see any of you, either at the induction or at the fun walk?

Next week, I plan to do two important things: First of all, work on the religion project. Me and *Cho-roku will probably present friday. Perhaps we'll work on it in tech club monday? Anyway, the other thing I have to do is finish off my IG army. The last four models arrived yesterday, and they're already basecoated and everything, so now I just have to go and do the tedious stuff. But hey, once I'm finished, it shall be a milestone worthy of rejoicing and stuff. Maybe I'll shower you all with pictures and junk. Perhaps reformat my website.

Next weekend we all might be heading out to Cincinatti to watch the Astros play the Reds. Gotta go cheer on my hometown team, doncha know. They are currently a half-game ahead of the Reds in the National League Central Division, so maybe, for once, I'll be watching a game that actually matters.

That, and I've never been to Cincinatti before, nor ever driven through Kentucky, so it'll be a grand adventure.

So, all in all, I shall be happily busy. *reminder to self: if we go to see the Reds and Astros, memorize the Julius Caesar speech for Mrs. Murray* On that note, perhaps I'll be *unhappily* busy. Oh well. Only a month of school left. Hohoho, her grip on my life lessens...

Of course, summer will bring with it another writing portfolio, but something tells me that Mr. Gleason probably won't be as demanding about it.

My mom made me Paintshop up a logo for the SJN 8th grade graduation ceremony. It's a survivor ripoff, celebrating the fact that :halonemesis:'s class is the first one to go all the way from kindergarten to 8th grade at SJN. Woohoo, yadda yadda, blah blah blah. SJN's so full of itself. Good for them; they're getting out.

I misplaced the paper, but I saw that this year They Might Be Giants is playing at Sundown in the City. I think ~Dabadragon likes them. I don't know about the rest of you, or even whether I like them, really, but I was thinking that a bunch of us might wanna go that thursday. Depending on personal schedules and stuff, of course.

Hmm. I mentioned that a full 3 weeks before the actual event. Planning ahead feels wierd.

Hello, DeviantARTland.

If you didn't know, I was offline for a while 'cause *some* people (*Cho-roku and ~spikky48) decided to change my password. Well, I got the password and now I changed it to something nice and insulting to them.

Now next time they get on the computer, either they won't be able to bring themselves to type it in, or, more likely, it'll anger them and they'll kill me and my file for good.

~HaloNemesis is at Eagle Rock, which is what they replaced the Maggie Valley trip with. So for the next day and a half, I am free to draw unmolested. Alas, I have little to no inspiration. Suggestions welcome. Keep in mind, my mouse is still being irritating, so my CG capacity is greatly impaired.

I've been cruising Rhapsody. Blue Man Group won't let them put up "Time to Start." Darnit. Also, although the Halo 2 Soundtrack Vol. 1 is now out on ITunes, they refuse to put it on Rhapsody. Blast them.

*Cho-roku and I have to do present our project next week in religion. We did the calming of the storm. Right now, we're kinda planning on making a *really* big book (Like, as big as your torso) out of cardboard. Possibly pop-up. 'Cause pop up books are cool. However, if any of you have a neater/more practical alternative, tell me. Or *Cho-roku. Doesn't matter much.

What else is up? Well, band has been incredibly odd this week. First, we learned that when Mr. Romines was at Indiana University a couple of weeks ago, he saw people driving down the street standing through their sunroof and throwing water balloons at pedestrians. Then, yesterday, we learned that his brother had seen University of Georgia call security on a student who was dressed up as a ninja, complete with katana. He had dressed as a ninja 'cause that day the local baptist student group had decided to have a "Pirate Vs Ninja" day. Wierd, wierd, wierd. And then, today, Chelsea decided to make Mr. Romines listen to Britney Spears from her Ipod. I'm pretty sure whatever respect he had for the musical taste of our generation has been utterly destroyed.

It was almost embarassing.

Also, we have the wierdest combination of music to play for the middle schoolers ever. "Die Wacht am Rhine," a German WWI march, and "Respect," by Aretha Franklin. I suppose Mr. Romines wants to show the full spectrum of what we do. Still, these are about the two least similar peices of music in human history.

I have at long last completely beat Mario Kart: Double Dash. The Parade Kart is fun, but the neatest thing is the new start screen that you unlock. It's neato.

The Hellhound is also complete. Only a little more stuff to finish before my army is a complete 1000 points and I can fight the enemies of the Emperor. And ~spikky48's Daemonhunters, which aren't enemies of the Emperor at all. But since my army is actually going to be painted, I win a moral victory whether I actually win or not.

Yep, I made a header. Like it? Bet you never noticed that my username has a "DA" in it. Hohoho.

Yeah, it looks a little rough. You know why? My mouse is posessed. It's like, "I don't like you, so I'm going to double click every time, no matter whether you double click, single click, or even drag." Yep, that makes drawing anything really, really friggin' frustrating. Every curve you see on that header, I had to draw five times 'cause the stupid mouse wouldn't stop clicking at inopportune times.

So, if you were wondering, no, I'm not working on anything at the moment. Maybe I oughta try some traditional coloring, for once.

So, now that we have that mini-rant out of the way, what else is up...

I'm working on the Armored Fist squad in warhammer. My ink wash was a tad thick, so I had to do extra drybrush highlights to balance it out. More work than usual, but the final effect is kinda neat.

I finally unlocked Mirror Mode in Double Dash. I got the Tilt-a-Kart course for battle mode, plus the Toadette Kart (Mostly pointless), and, finally, King Boo (Bu?) and Petey Piranha and their pipe-mobile. King Boo/Bu is fun, just for that evil giggle of death. Him and Waluigi have the strangest laughs ever.

Also, some funny Halo happenings:

1) I, playing as the Master Chief, was killed, and the grunt right next to me yelled "I get his helmet!" I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever heard a grunt say that one.

2) I used a grenade to blast a crate at a wall, crushing the two jackals in between. That was neat.

I suppose that's all for now. Tomorrow is happy egg-cracking fun time.

I'm in a bad mood, so if you'd rather not trouble your happy existence with my ramblings, you'd best be moving along to someone else's journal.

I wish it was next year. This year is going by sooooo slowly. Next year so many things have potential for improving: less classes all alone, able to eat in the commons, no more spanish, and maybe the whole omnipresent anime/japan culture craze will have diminished to sane levels. But probably not.

This year is just the same thing, day in and day out for me. This week's been no exception; school is boring, I leave break early 'cause there's nothing for me to talk about, and at lunch everyone except me leaves to go RP, or do whatever you do. I don't know anymore. I get home, Kimberly cries and screams about how much she hates her life, I get on the computer, Melinda watches over my shoulder 'cause she doesn't want to do make-up work, etc, etc. Over and over, day in and day out, it's the same. Sure, at one point there weren't RP's, but before that everyone else just talked about anime to each other's faces at lunch instead, and I didn't have anything to do either. Sure, Melinda wasn't watching me type journals and CG art over my shoulder part of this year, but I shouldn't have to tell you why that wasn't any better. Every day is monotony, every day is exactly, mind-numbingly the same.

Yep, Melinda just came and spied on me over my shoulder. How predictable.

It's not like any one thing irritates me inordinately. Just my life has been filled up with things I don't care about. I don't care about anime and Japanese culture. I don't dislike it, I just dislike that it keeps me from talking about anything else to people. I don't dislike RP's and ninjas, I just dislike that they absorb so much conversation. I don't dislike people watching over my... well, scratch that, that *does* annoy me.

Why does everyone seem to have to be obsessive about something? Whether it be art, whether it be a videogame, whether it be anime and stuff, it seems like everyone actually *enjoys* making themselves one dimensional. I think that's stupid. Why limit yourself to just *one* source of happiness? When people who just barely know me look at me, I don't know what they think, but I know it's not one word. When the same kind of people look at you, can you say the same? Truthfully?

You could take away all forms of electronics from me, and anything with text, and I'd be okay. I have a trampoline. I can paint warhammer figures. I can draw, without having to print out references. I am proud that I am not dependent on anything.

I can't tell you that focusing that much on one thing is wrong. What I can tell you is that I've seen it before, many times, and I've never, ever seen it end well. 'Cause it *will* end, eventually.

Well, now I need to go do half my writing portfolio. Unfortunately, Melinda convinced my mom to boot me off so that she can check deviantart and crap, even though I told them that I had school work to do. Good to know that my family *trusts* me when I say that I have work. Good to know that her playtime takes precedence over *anything* I could possibly be doing. 'Cause it's just another one of the obsessions that I've talked about, and it, like the others, would seem to be more important than me.

I'm not mad at anyone (besides my sister and my mom, for booting me off when I need the computer to do work), and I'm not trying to make anybody mad, or unhappy, or anything. I'm just in a bad mood, frustrated, and getting things off of my chest.

If you mention the word "pissy," I'll disembowel you. Calling me "pissy" is just a cheap, stupid excuse to ignore me.

If you looked at the header stuff, you will see that Rhapsody is being psykic again. And yes, that's how I spell psykic. It's the british way of spelling it.

Stuff that's up:

-I moved my list of admired artists and stuff to my shoutboard. I hope ~spikky48 is happy that my journals look shorter now.

And before you ask, shoutboards are subscriber only features. Look at the FAQ's to see how to put stuff in it, if you happen to be a subscriber.

-I assembled my Hellhound in one day. That is a heck of an achievement, actually. Since none of you have ever put together a warhammer tank before (not even ~spikky48), you don't realize how difficult it is to put together the treads. They always end up half a link short.

And they have, like, 20 little wheels in each one. But this time everything went together really well, and I am happy.

-I figured out the Mp3 player stuff I mentioned last time. I've got all of my stuff on it. Hurrah!

-I've got some artistic stuff in the works. One remake thing, one based on the book I just finished reading (yep, another book finished in 8 hours), and one based on a song. And Rhapsody, apparently less psykic than usual, isn't playing it right now.

-I wanna make some subscriber stuff. Like images for my journal header and footer and stuff. And perhaps some of those stamp thingies.

Today was a good day.

First of all, it didn't rain. It's true: meteorologists are NEVER right. A good thing, in this case. Anyway, we got to trampoline, which was something I hadn't done in a really long time.

Got to drag along ~ToxicSoySauce, which is a rare pleasure these days.

Played much Mario Kart and Call of Duty 2. Both are a more fun when you are playing against someone unpredictable. And that was pretty unpredictable.

Cookie cake. COOKIE CAKE.

Presents were fun too. Of course. But what were they, you ask?

I'm almost done with my Leman Russ tank, so I figured I'd ask you all for suggestions as to what I should name it. 'Cause tanks usually are named. Imposing names are good, and, if you want to really go nuts, in Warhammer, they are usually named in Latin. So have fun, one and all.

Who has the funnier webcam image: *Mylehyena, =DarkJak, or *jazz-chan? They're all pretty odd...

I hope you all are having fun at beaches and stuff. It's all rainy and miserable here. Cold, too.

Yesterday we went on a shoppin' trip after church. My dad got ~HaloNemesis a $50 set of Prismacolor markers. Let's hear it, art geeks: "Oooooooooooh."

The other sister got a CD player, a CD of "That's So Raven" music (*shudder*), and "Animal Crossing: Wild World" for the DS. I was given nothing. I *bought* my, well, purchase: "Battalion Wars" for Gamecube.

Battalion Wars is really, really schizofrenic. It's a Gamecube game, but it has shooting things in it. It's got the most kiddy, sugar-coated voice acting in history, but it takes a million times more strategy and hand-eye coordination than your average 6 year old has.

I basically agree with the X-play analysis of it: Fun and challenging, but the control scheme can get annoying at times. 4 out of 5.

Other than getting Battalion Wars at Best Buy, I also showed my dad which Mp3 player I would like.

I finally managed to figure out how to hook up game systems to the big screen downstairs without having text all over the screen. If you recall the LAN party I had last year when we used it, the TV had "STEREO" smack-dab in the middle of it. It didn't interfere with Halo that much, though, luckily. But anyway, I figured out how to get that to go away. I could bore you by telling you how I did, but you don't really care. I wouldn't either.

Anyway, I've been playing a lot of "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" with my mom on it. Yep, finally found a game that she can enjoy, besides SSX3. Trying to beat the Special Cup on 150cc. Hard. I also got my dad to play some. My mom uses Wario and Luigi in the Bowser Kart. My dad changes all the time. I usually use Waluigi and Baby Luigi in the Waluigi Racer. ~HaloNemesis uses Toad and Toadette in the Toad Kart, all three of which *I* unlocked, might I add. No respect, man.

As for warhammer, I'm currently painting camo on my Leman Russ. It looks pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. And I do.

Also, I'm almost done painting the Remnants Squad. Now I just have to get the rest battle ready, and get my dad to get all of his stuff off of my gaming table. Just because it's a flat surface doesn't mean you can put your stuff there...

I've done some other art stuff besides what I just uploaded. The other stuff were style experiments and stuff, so I'm not gonna put them up on deviantart.

What's up? Well, I have 3 out of the 4 X-box games that I lent ~spikky48 back now. Now I can bug him less, and hopefully ~HaloNemesis will bug me less. But I doubt it.

AP classes announced who got in and stuff. ~ToxicSoySauce, ~Cho-roku, and I got into AP English III and AP US History. Assuming that we keep our grades in those classes at a 95+/88+. Which will be easier for some of us than for others. I actually think I'd be in the "easier" category, seeing as Coach Beardsley's class is easy and seeing as Mrs. Murray's class is actually pretty easy as long as you don't turn things in late. *Note to self: work butt off on English II writing portfolio*

But anyway, us three hopefully should have more classes with each other. Well, I should have more classes with you two. You two pretty much can't ask for much more than you already have. Besides health in ~ToxicSoySauce's case, of course.

Speaking about health and related subjects, we essentially had PE instead of math. Coach Hollander must have been pretty desperate if he had to give us Coach Pemberton for a substitute. Not that I'm complaining, you understand.

Band is wierd. I don't think we've had such a bass-heavy sound, like, ever. The trumpets are gonna have to kick it up a notch if we're gonna have a chance of doing well at all. Hopefully adding the rest of the flutes will even us out. You never know, though.

Anyway, what's up...

I e-mailed Spencer for the first time in a really long time. He's still around, which is good to hear. His X-box is busted, which is less good to hear. And he's going to Orlando for spring break, so I won't be seeing him any time soon.

I've been in super speed-paint mode. I finally got the basecoat of khaki to completely the black primer on the Leman Russ. Took four layers. And the Leman Russ has a whole lotta little details to avoid painting, unlike the chimera that I've painted before.

If you are wondering what my tanks look like, here's my Chimera as an example. A rather poor example, seeing as it's an armored personnel carrier, not a tank, and the picture quality is crap, and my early attempts at photomanipulating are even crappier, but oh well.

I am working on a deviation at the moment, but it's taking a backseat to warhammer. And that's the way it should be.

And speaking of deviations and warhammer, check out the guy I added to my links at the bottom of the journal. His warhammer stuff rocks. From an objective standpoint, even.

Lets see, this is the part where I usually put in something mostly irrelevant. Ah, I know what to talk about: The Prarie Home Companion. I've been listening to it whenever I can while I paint. It's a radio show that comes on every sunday from 2 to 4 on NPR. Sorta like Who's Line but radio. Ad-libbing fun.

Lets, see, what's up.

Ack, the religion project. I pray that it won't be due around the same time as my english writing portfolio. That would seriously kill me. Ah well. At least we got to pick pairs to work in. Not that that's ever really stopped me and ~Cho-roku from getting in the same group anyway.

Mrs. Roberts is gone for a while, which I'm sure is making a bunch of you very happy.

Farragut ETSBOA concert is next week wednesday. The freshmen are gonna screw it up horribly, I can guarantee it.

On a related note, I need to bring the CD of last years performance in to show to ~SorrowfulNightfalls to prove to her that the band didn't *always* suck.

On the warhammer front, everything I have is assembled. Time for me to have fun with spray paint.

I ran out of batteries on my 360 controller today. Yep, it has officially been broken in.

I rewrote my Warhammer 40000 Imperial Guard army list. 1000 and 1500 point lists. I am pretty satisfied that I can't improve it much more. I really needed to make them, 'cause it's pretty dang hard to put together an army without knowing how you want it to turn out.

Finished the heavy weapons teams. Hopefully I'll finish the rest of the troops before monday. Then will come painting, and then I'll get my Hellhound from Hobbytown, and then I'll put that together, and then I'll paint that, and then I'll get my special weapons troops and officers from Hobbytown, and then I'll put them together, and then I'll paint them...

And then I'll get my dad to clear off all of his junk off of my warhammer board...

And then I'll wait for ~spikky48 to get un-grounded...

And then to celebrate his un-groundedness, I shall do my best to blast his army into the stone age.

Try, at least.

(PS: ~spikky48, you oughta paint all of your unpainted guys while you are grounded. It's not like you have something better to do...)

If you (*cough*Daba*cough*) skipped all of that because it doesn't interest you or you don't care or you just can't be bothered to spend more than ten seconds reading a journal, you can start reading again now.

I am on the very last mission in Call Of Duty 2's single player campaign. It may be a fairly short game, but it is a pretty dang difficult. The enemies actually feel like human opponents. And *good* ones at that. They are strategic and if you let yourself get comfortable the Nazi's will outflank you or grenade you or mortar you or otherwise kick your sorry butt.

It's definitely a thinking man's FPS. Call Of Duty 2 is really, really fun because of the AI. Your friends are helpful, and when one dies, you really do feel sorry for them, and sorry for yourself, 'cause you need all the help you can get. The immersion factor is another plus for it.

As for PGR3, well, I beat it on easy. I'm pretty sure I can go back and beat it on normal fairly easily. I'm still impressed with the graphics and detail that the PGR folks put into the game. Pretty dang cool. My only complaint is that, not only did they keep the cone challenges (*shudder*), but they returned to the PGR1 style of cones. In PGR2 they had little orange cones that were at least easy to see. Now they have returned to the yellow and silver tube kind of cones, which are pretty friggin' hard to see from a distance.

Yes, I have played PGR1. I played it at Patrick Cady's house in, like, 6th grade.

Lets see, non-videogame stuff...

~Cho-roku was working at the fish fry at Saint John Neumann on friday, and she begged ~Dabadragon and I to go keep her company or else she should surely lose her mind. Well, I came, but I don't think I managed to keep her from going out of her mind. Too much fish, I think.

~Dabadragon had to leave before she got to stop serving people. You see, he made the fatal mistake of bringing a sibling who could get bored and demand that they leave. I, on the other hand, had one sibling at a friends house (~HaloNemesis) and the other one one steadfastly refuses to eat fish. Therefore, I had nobody to drag me home prematurely. I transfered my X-box Live account to it. Pretty simple. I'm in the "recreation" gamerzone. None of this "Pro" or "Underground" crap.

If you want my gamertag, note me. The new X-box live allows you to change your name, so I might be doing that soon, so DON'T ASSUME I'M STILL USING THE OLD ONE.

I have Project Gotham Racing 3 and Call of Duty 2 right now. Once I stop by ~spikky48's house I'll also have my four X-box games: Halo, Halo 2, Crimson Skies, and SSX3. Right now we have two controllers, because Kimberly bought one for herself. We should have three once ~HaloNemesis gets one. Which cleanly segways into my next bit o happy news:

~HaloNemesis is back! *happy dance* And with her comes my mom too. Bonus.

Thirdly, Games Day Atlanta is March 18th. I don't know if ~spikky48 and I are going, but just in case, I'm gonna be busting my butt working to get my Imperial Guard army up to 1000 points. At least put together, hopefully painted. So what all does that mean? That means I have to put together and paint:
