Just the First Frame, my all-time favourite comic aggregate site, released a yearly retrospective which identified the 1000 most clicked panels of the year.  And guess what?  Puck claimed 26 of those spots!  That's over half the year's strips!

About four months ago, the Adsense ads on my Puck site started getting attacked by a malicious Adsense bot, forcing me to shut them down in a hurry lest I get banned from Adsense forever.  Unfortunately, my comic host (Smackjeeves) isn't really designed to deal with such problems, and (long story short) the people at Google recommended that I switch providers if I wanted to keep running their ads.

The only option is really a Wordpress-based site, so I started one, installed Comic Easel on my site, and ... started crying.

I'd feel really bummed if I felt the criticism had real, solid merit, but as it is, I think it's largely groundless.  The reviewer basically says that Puck is visually impressive  but it's essentially all about fan service and has absolutely no real content, story or appeal.  And that it's not funny.  And that in an alternate reality, my comic might actually be good.

Ouch.

-the shape of the speech bubbles will remain the same, due to the constraints of the strip (being small in format and dialogue-heavy; large bubbles seem to crowd the picture and a smaller font would be hard to read)

-the font will change for clarity's sake, and so that the bolded style doesn't make it look like everyone's shouting all the time

Victoria Day occurs on the weekend nearest to May 24th in Canada, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday.  That's right: Queen Victoria.  The one that's been dead for over one hundred years.  In a weird, colonial twist of fate, all the rest of the British Empire decided to politely rescind Victoria Day shortly after her death, but NOT CANADA.  We're the only place on Earth that still recognizes the god-like importance of Victoria Regina, and I'm proud of that!

I recently returned from a trip out to interior BC to see my brother get married.  In Kelowna, they have something they don't got in Ontario: IHOP.  Now, from what I gather on American-type television progrums, IHOP is this iconic chain, and people often use it as a travel landmark (i.e. "Turn left at the IHOP").  We made a point to eat there as a family one morning, and my wife was quite pumped, because she remembered going to IHOP in Florida with her family on vacation when she was younger.
