Thank God, after 7 months unemployed, I got a job! I am working as a video editor in a local news channel, C5N, and I'm more than happy!
The job is great, the people is lovely, it is an amazing experience.

I just wanted to apologize for disappearing this last month or so. Thankfully, it has been because of a blessing I had. My husband quit his job, and is now working as an associate with his father.
We are more than happy with this, but of course, it required from us money and time. This kept me away from Cybercaffees, and considering my boss took off of our coumputers our internet connections, I can barely get online.
Hopefully I'll get my own computer soon, but until then, I'll come by every once in a while to visit this lovely place.

Miss you all, seriously!!!

Now I'm off to try to see all of the 2105 new deviations I have, without a subscription...

And, my beloved boss decided that we were not worthy of an internet connection, so she disconnected us. And no internet at work makes my life miserable, seriously. I have to spend money on Cybercafes, and I can't download things I need and, and... That also means that until I figure out a way, I won't be submitting anything.

The only news here is my working schedule changed drastically last monday.
I will be working from 8 am till 4 pm, when I used to work from 4 pm till midnight. Wich means my head feels heavy, I'm sleepy all the time, and I feel more than tired. I hope my mind and body can get used to it as soon as possible.
And this also means I'll be absent in BCE. No one is online at this time....

As you can see, work is pretty much taking over my life. wich keeps me from making any art. I have several things in mind, and a couple collabs, but it will take time.

For those that didn't remember it, I made 23 years last may 24th, so happy birthday to me!

1: I'm married. It is the best thing that heppened to me in my entire life.

2: My husband started being my partner at where I work, then my friend, then my best friend, crush, boyfriend, fiancee and husband... All in less than 3 years.

3: The best anti bad mood thing for me is listening to teenlike music, like Hanson and Spice Girls

4: My first language is spanish... I learnt english by myself, translating Backstreet Boys' songs. I also speak some portuguese

5: I sing. Not professionaly, but still. I love it. And I wish I had a voice like Mariah Carey's

6: I'm secretly inlove with Jim Carrey.

7: I'm a christian, 5 years ago. That solved 90% of my life's messes.

8: I'm obsessed with zombies. I love watching movies related to them, like Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead, etc.

9: I love the Lord of the Rings, and anything related to it. I like the books more than the movies.

10: One of my favourite sites is Snopes.com, a place that demitifies urban legends. I could spend hours and hours there.

11: My passion for photomanipulation started when I joined Ringquest.com, a forum for LotR fans, like 3 years ago. One of the actiivities there is making avatars for other users, and so I started using photoshop, and falling in love with it.

12: I only have 3 friends. My husband, my sister, and a guy who works with me... And God, of course...

13: I love the sea. It is so... so powerful, so peaceful, so impressive, so immense, all at a same time... And it's song, so haunting...

14: I work as a video editor. I like the job, but I hate my boss.

15: My biological father abandoned my mother as soon as he knew she was pregnant. And old boyfriend of her saw her 5 months later, and the love reappeared. He gave me his last name and all his love, as if he were my real father. 2 years later, my sister born. 3 years later, he got sick, he had schizophreny. He could not take care of us anymore, so my mom left him at a hospital. So the last time I seen my father was 15 years ago. Thee biological one? I never met him, i only know his name.

16: I love football (Soccer). A lot. My fav national (Argentinian) team is River Plate.

17: I'm so darn impatient...

18: I dream in color

19: I adore cats. They are, along with humans and horses, the most beautiful creatures.

By now, you've heard that Scott Jarkoff, aka °jark, is now a FORMER Staff Member.

I'm not privy to the whys, wherefores, and whatever-the-hells are going on behind the scenes here. Don't ask me anything about that. I know probably just as much as you do.

DeviantArt, in my opinion, is becoming less about COMMUNITY and more about CORPORATION.

So what we need to do is bring back THE COMMUNITY.

Here's my suggestion.

On August 7th, DA turns five years old. Five years for a website like this should be a grand affair, one big event.

So don't submit anything on August 7th.

I'm talking a print, a deviation, a scrap...nothing.

Instead, just leave a comment. Visit a user's page and just say hi.

If someone wants to buy a subscription that day, I'm all in favor for it. It'll keep the servers going, and anything that keeps the hamster running is a good thing.

BUT...I think folks shouldn't buy any prints. No print subscriptions. That goes against the COMMUNITY theme for the day.

We want to put the COMMUNITY back into DA.

If you're in favor of this, if you believe in the power this COMMUNITY has, then join me. Post this in your own journal. Spread the word to everyone, with a and a .

We might be touting at windmills like Don Quixote.

But if enough of us do it, we might be able to remind everyone that this is a COMMUNITY first and foremost.

Join me. On August 7th, let's take back DeviantArt.
