So things have been going well with Kyle and I. I still to this day never thought anything like this would become of our friendship. We've gotten so close, and, well ... I'm really glad he's opened up to me, and has allowed himself to love again. I'd be happy even if just learned to love again, with me or not, despite my four year long crush. How sad is that?

He makes me feel so special. I can't even begin to describe how he makes me feel, and the way the butterflies flutter about like they do. It's an amazing feeling ...

He means so much to me. Though, I know there are a lot of people out there who would disapprove for many more reasons then just the five year difference.

That difference won't sound so bad once I've grown in age by five years. It'll seem normal, now won't it?

Either way, I hope to spend many years with him. <3

The world beyond the window is a scary place, where dark things with dark intents rule. The sky is always black, no ray of light. But I'm safe in here, this world behind the window.

To go beyond the window, they say, is absolute suicide. They say that once you go, you'll never come back. These fiends that feast and prey on the strays, always waiting.

Yet I wander away from the safety of the window. I stray from the light.

I can hear people's shocked gasps, and shrill cries as I venture out. But to me this world seems so much more then what's been told.

The air is cold, yet brings a feeling of warmth to me. Something never felt before.

This place of evil, so they say, suddenly seems so pure.

Then I realized, even the darkest and most scariest of places, can sometimes shine more brilliantly from the ones we know and hold dear.

Never be afraid of the unknown. Venturing from the world you know, safe behind your window, will be the best thing you've ever done.

As the darkness swallows my very soul, I can't help but smile brightly. Thinking, what fools. They'll never know what it means to live. Beyond the safety and security of their world behind the window.
