The reason for this is that the games demo was of a file size large enough for me to warrant hosting it on Megaupload.com - which due to the American federal government being frankly stupid and attempting to vet the internet (Team America World Police gags on standby) has been closed.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I was mighty sceptic when DC announced that they were rebooting all their comics. The loss of some of my favourite characters came as a bit of a blow, after all where was Wally in this new universe? Where where the Justice Society? How does Azrael fit into the new timeline? So after a little dread I eventually scooped up all 52 of the new comics, and have to admit that whilst some of the low points are REALLY low, the high points are spectacular. I'm not sold on the changes to Superman yet, and Justice League is a fun read whilst not being amazing considering it was touted as the flagship title of the new series, but there are several comics  ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I've been on a bit of a quest to get the most out of my PS3 lately, and have been raiding its back-catalogue of rpgs (which anybody who has ever met me will know are my passion). After completing 'Disgaea 3', 'Cross Edge' and 'Agarest: Generations of War' back to back I found myself finally getting round to Final Fantasy XIII and was massivly dissapointed all-round. Sticking with it because a friend insisted it got better some 20 hours in, I found that 'getting better' consisted of being marginally less crap - so an all-round dissapointment for the man who was late picking up his A-Level results at school because Final Fantasy IX came out tha ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I've just completed 'Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep' on the PSP and my overall impression is that this is a very fine game indeed. Stripping away the story and the Kingdom Hearts themes for a second I want to focus on something that this game has managed to get completely right - it's battle system.<br /><br />The original 'Kingdom Hearts' on the Playstation 2 had a solid battle system that saw you running around and fighting in real-time, but relied overly on having to use the d-pad in order to scroll through an ever-expanding list of options with X being pressed to activate them.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I'm putting together a fun little game demo at the moment and it's taking up a whole load of my drawing time, what with making the game work and drawing everything screen by screen from scratch in the style I use. I've posted two of the characters from it up into my gallery for reference for the type of thing I am looking for, because I've decided to throw a little fun competition to see if anybody can come up with a character worth adding to the game. Taking aside that this was going to be the first post-Tennant episode entirely, I had my concerns regarding the new look that it had taken on. For the last few season Russell T Davis went to great length to bring a touch of the cinema sci-fi epic to our television screens, working scripts, actors and visual effects harder than ever before on the budget they had. Steven Moffatt however has no such aspirations, instead he's re-drafted the themes and looks into a more saturday-morning cartoon feel that sees the psychic paper 'glowing' ]]></media:text>

It started with the relatively simply premise of just showing us the 'eraly years' of a pre-cape Clark Kent as he developes his powers and deals with them as a part of his life. That was wonderful and fantastic stuff, but it couldn't last forever. 9 seasons is a lot of ground to cover and he only has so many powers before it feels like the writers are treadding water in an effort to spin it out as long as possible. I just picked up issue 0 today and am currently half way through issue fifty at the time of writing this - this stuff is pure gold. It's a refreshing take on superhero stories with a knowing twist on how the stories are supposed to go. The writing is witty, the art is colourful and they arcs play out extremely well. A friend told me that they are being animated into motion-comics and I can't wait to see them in action. It means I get another day off with full pay and get to play in the snow some more - oh yes, it is a good week indeed!<br /><br />I've been giving LOST MAGIC for the DS a try, it was an early RPG title that makes a lot of use of the stylus to draw symbols in order to cast spells. It's also got a fun monster capturing side to it and an interesting tactical approach to combat - not bad for one of the first attempts to get to grips with the system. On the one hand we have ITV's 'Demons', about a young boy who wakes one morning to discover his godfather has come back into his life with the startling news that he's the last in the Van Helsing line, and it's his job to help fight an ongoing battle against the 'Half-lives'. Sound like Buffy with a male lead? Yes it is, and unfortunatly it doesn't manage to keep your interest in the characters for more than the first five minutes either. I find this extremely sad indeed, largely because not only have I always shopped from Woolworths, but I was outfitted from their line of clothing as a child, brought school clothing and toys from them throughout my childhood days, videos and DVDs when I was older, all my pots, pans and cuttlery when I moved to uni, and all my christmas shopping from them this year. I've been writing Articles on Retro Gaming and Pop Culture for a website named coloring dragons. Not only that, but I've also been doing interviews with some of the biggest and best webcomics on the net for the same site, among them the likes of 'Ctrl+Alt+Del' and 'RPG World', as well as animation movements like 'College University'.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Yes, I am a kid at heart and no I am NOT ashamed to have spent a good couple of hours on saturday watching the new Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles movie (TMNT for short). I found it largely enjoyable, well animated (though some of the humans seemed very thin in this style) and containing a good plot. The balance between the characters was upheld extremely well, especially the continued tension between Leonardo and Raphael - which has been a series staple since the very beginning. I won't spoil the plot here, but I will say that I am glad that they chose to accept the previous series/movie renditions of the Turtles and intergrate them into the new ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ For those of you not in England, you may not know that our release of KH2 only came out a few days ago. The reason for this was Square Europe working on a better translation in some areas and adding extra content, but it still made the wait unbearable as hell!<br /><br />That was four days ago, and now after finishing it I'm looking back on the game with mixed feelings. I loved the new worlds, liked the characters and enjoyed the new 'Nobodies' plotline a lot. Graphically it was better than the original and the playing style felt smoother. I remain a Freelance Designer / Illustrator, but now have something to do when things are slow. I am . . . a teacher. Yes that's right, a teacher. I am so broke that I actually couldn't eat for two days between buying the last present for my mother and getting paid.
