CSS DESIGNERS WANTED


We're looking for some great CSS designs that we could use for our monthly contests in 2008. You don't have to come up with a theme (if you don't want to) - just design something pretty and we'll think up a contest theme to go along with it.

If you're willing to make us a CSS, but would rather have us choose a theme for you - just send us a note and we'll come up with a contest theme for you to work with.

The css doesn't need to be exclusive to our club so long as it is not a css that is available for everyone to download since we award access to the prize to the winners of our contest and want them to have something special to use. So, we only ask that you allow the winners exclusive access to the css for three months, after that, you may release it to the public if you wish.

As a special thank you - you'll be welcome to be a guest judge during the month we use your css design!

*HOW THIS CLUB WORKS*

We are different from other clubs here on dA in that we don't have members - you do not need to note us asking to join. Everyone is welcome to submit an entry to our monthly art contests.

Each contest will have four divisions: beginner, intermediate, advanced and stock. Participants will be able to select which division they wish to enter. Each participant will be allowed to enter only once per account. (If you have an art account and a stock account you may submit one art entry and one stock entry from your respective accounts.)

Each month we will feature a guest judge who will assist us (*chasing-butterflies and *LongStock) in deciding the winner of each division. BEGINNER
New to a particular style and learning the fundamentals.

INTERMEDIATE
Mastered the fundamentals and working to learn the more complex skills of a particular style.

ADVANCED
Mastered a good portion of the more complex skills of a particular style.

STOCK
Images that are provided to the public under various terms and conditions of use.

NON-COMPETITIVE
For those who do not wish to compete, but want to participate and get some exposure. Judges and Admins are also welcome to submit to this division.

NOTE: No winner will be declared and therefore no prizes will be awarded to this division; however, if the Judges feel that your submission is truly exceptional we may ask you if we may submit it to our gallery.

Which division you wish to enter is a choice that it entirely up to YOU. These definitions do not necessarily reflect what types of deviations will be entered into a specific category - for example, just because someone's deviation would fall into the beginner division by definition absolutely does not bar them from submitting their deviation into the advanced division (if that is where they feel it is appropriate to compete). Likewise, just because someone's deviation might be considered intermediate by definition, does not bar them from entering it into the beginner division if that is where they feel it is appropriate to compete.

These are merely definitions of the terms used to create the divisions and are by no means requirements for the submissions you enter into the contests. As previously stated, you may choose to submit your entry in whichever division you feel most comfortable competing.

How This Club Works


general
We are different from other clubs here on dA in that we don't have members - you do not need to note us asking to join. Everyone is welcome to submit an entry to our monthly art contests - whether you are a digital, traditional or stock artist. And, your deviation does not have to be new.

theme and guest CSS designers
Each month we will host a contest with a different theme and with a coordinating journal CSS designed by one of our Guest CSS Designers. The guest designers have graciously donated exclusive CSS designs to us to use for the contest and to distribute the CSS as a prize to the winners of that particular contest!

divisions and number of entries
Each contest will have five divisions: beginner, intermediate, advanced, stock and non-competitive. Participants must decide which division they wish to enter - please do not ask us to decide for you. What level you feel you are at in your chosen genre/style is something we feel only you can decide.

Each participant will be allowed to enter only once per account. If you have an art account and a stock account you may submit one art entry and one stock entry from your respective accounts.

guest judges and voting
Each month we will feature a guest judge who will assist us in deciding the winner of each of the four divisions. We will choose the guest judge from the winners of the previous month's contest. And that month's guest CSS designer will also be invited to judge.
