Am I the only one that loves this new DA skin?

I mean... It's going to take a while to load on my computer - should it ever work again - but it's cool. Gotta say I love how you don't have to click on so many links in order to check your updates and comments and whatnot - it just makes things so much simpler!

I've talked to a mod at that site and he agrees with me about telling you all about the happenings around the site as there is blatant theft, however without complaining artists and authors, reychop can't (and won't, as he isn't sure if it is stolen anyway) get rid of stolen stuff.

So, please, without leaving flames or anything like that, just go and make sure you're work isn't there. Art or stories. If not, leave and don't go back - tell people what's been going on there and tell them to do the same as I've told you. If you find something that's yours or someone elses that you know of join and pm reychop and only reychop.

I'm going to be really quick about this, because I'm on my work computer (mine is dead and has been for quite some time).

A while back I discovered that one of my fanfics was stolen. We sorted it out, and funnily enough, we became okay friends - he said he'd "forgotten to ask" and I believed him. On that same site I was made a moderator. But then the site closed down. So the guy that had stolen my work made a new one and asked me to moderate there as well. It was all fine, until I discovered he was a fake and a bastard, but I'm not going to go into that.

Today I've found that that same fic has been stolen again, by a different person. They've decided (without consulting me) that my story is officially theirs because they added an extra sentence at the end of the fic (and seem to want to make it into a shit lemon).

Now here's the catch: The person that runs the site - the guy I was friends with - doesn't have the same views about art and story theft as you and I (don't ask how I could have ever liked him). He sees it as something that has no value - because it's not copyrighted - and so anyone can just copy and paste whatever, whenever.

So how do I approach this matter? Should I attempt to reason with the site master - again - and get my story taken down? He's blatantly stated to me that "it's not copyrighted, so it doesn't matter". And I'm doubting the person who's stolen it is going to give it up just because I ask them to. And I don't want to start a war of any sort between me and the person or me and the site.

I'm at a loss. Does anyone know what I can/could do?

I am, I am, I am! Really!

Sorry for not being around as much as I’d like. Life’s hectic and most likely will be until I:

* Find a job
* Finish this stupid Mission Australia thing
* and finish off the requests I’ve been working on (one’s nearly done! Just got the colouring to do! Whilst I’ve actually had inspiration for a few others; sketches have been made!)

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a great New Year.

I celebrated 2008 with an anime marathon. It included: Inuyasha, Naruto, Saiyuki (I got them for cheap!) and Kyou Kara Maoh. My brother and I were up for 24 hours straight, watching episode after episode. Once we got sick of one anime, we moved to another, hence we managed to fit a good few series into the day. We were going to watch DBZ, but the video fucked up. I wasn’t happy. I was looking forward to staring at Vegeta, Dende and Piccolo.

Christmas was rather nice too. Unfortunately though, we had no Chrissy-mas lights or tree up this year, so no fighting for the job of handing out presents. We had a big family lunch, after which I fell asleep in front of the TV. I got two shirts and a $50 gift voucher. I got 6 Saiyuki DVDs with that money and the 4th Inuyasha movie (there are adorable twins in it! And Shion! Teehee! – and the 4 war gods aren’t bad either. Rather lovely actually…;).

In other news though, my Dad’s garden’s sprouting some of the largest zucchinis I’ve ever seen. Oo; They’re monstrous.

Anyway, I’ll still not be around. Sometimes I’ll pop in and comment on a few people’s artsies, but until all the above has been sorted out, I’m afraid I’m strangled for time. Wish me luck though!

My mum rang three times during our Ancient History exam on Thursday, to let me know that my Pop was alright having been taken to hospital. Supposedly his heart was acting up.

I haven't seen him in two years, since my Nanna's death and I won't be seeing him again. He passed away this morning.

I apologise in advance for any bitter or edgy comments I might (and most likely will) make.

Now that the initial shock has passed and I've bawled so much I can't do so anymore (my head hurts, gragh!), I realise that Pop's passing away was for the best. Pop was near blind and becoming deaf, and his limbs ached and he because out of breath quickly. He's in a better place now, where he won't suffer.

But I still miss him lots. The same as Nanna. You know they fought all the time? It was amusing, because you could tell that they cared by the way they told each other to 'sit down' or to 'watch where you're going' or if they weren't paying attention to one of us kids, to 'get their ears out of the TV and pay attention'.

I hope that they're somewhere where they'll be happy and be able to bicker all they want. Heaven knows Pop was lonely in that retirement home of his without Nanna. At least they're both well and together now.

Rest in Peace, Poppy Ron. You'll be missed.

Gah, now I'm going to start bawling again...

XD I couldn't help the title. Yesterday afternoon's episode of Pokemon reminded me of exactly how much love I hold for James in Team Rocket. He's soo cute (he was crying and being protective and spastic and he's so, so awesome!), though his voice doesn't sound as good as it did a year or two ago. ==; Dammit... Anyway... I have sorta-kinda startled doodling a couple of pictures of him (and Butch, but that's another thing altogether!), though they're all crap so I doubt I'll be putting them up here.

Also... Holy Hell! Trinity Blood is an awesome anime! Leon/Hugue here I come! I've only seen two episodes with them both in it! But dear Lord! The art is so lovely, the characters (Abel! Hugue! Leon! Gunslinger!) are great and I find that the story line so far is rather amusing. I haven't yawned during the show yet. So it must be a good sign!

Moving will officially start on Friday (it was supposed to be yesterday, but something happened and Mum wasn't able to sign the documents). We've got 70% of the house in boxes and we're finishing off the rest that we don't need. The house is looking very bare and my room no longer feel like my room. I have no mess in there and I need mess to concentrate!

Exams are in three weeks too. Before yesterday I had no will to do anything bar pass my exams, now I want to get 70+ in my Hospitality one! Supposedly I'm coming first in the year or class or something and I'm particularly competitive. XD So yes... I will be studying hard. (As soon as I find my notes; dammit! I knew I should have written stuff on the box!)

I hope everyone's well! And I promise to look and comment on people's art (Oh dear god the number of deviations is over 300 T_T) when things start to simmer, right now everyone's running around as though they're boiling and they want out of the saucepan. Exams... I hate them. ==;

Okay, I know what it's like to be 'flamed' for my art and because of the characters I fangirl over (I don't think I'll classify them as that any more though; when you compare it to what the following group does, it's more like I've been sparked), and it's not a nice thing to go through. However (thank, Christ) I have yet to be flamed for my writing. Though I can only expect that it can't be any better than being so for art.

This is a warning for all those writers that post things on Fanfiction.net. I got this little entry from ~Murof who found this little warning posted by "Snow Falling" in every section of the site. I stress that you read it from the beginning to the end, do not skim read it, EXAMINE it. Here it is:

"Why Flame Rising will flame you:

Firstly, you have my humblest apologies. This is not a story, or a poem, and I am well aware that as such I am breaking several of the Terms Of Service of this site. But, I beg of you, rather than simply disregard this document, or report it for abuse, read it. Learn from it. It contains important information that can help to make this site a better place; as melodramatic as that may sound. So please, have patience, and I will tell you why I am here…

Flamers. You may have heard of them, you may not. If you have heard of them, then you have most likely either been a victim of one, or know someone who has. You may even be a flamer yourself. If you have not been the victim of one of these individuals, then you are a lucky person indeed.

For those who are not aware, a flamer is a bully. They write abusive, degrading comments or reviews to stories that they do not like. Whilst everyone has an opinion, and is entitled to such, these ‘flamers’ go too far. All too often, these twisted individuals harass their victim to the point of distraction, often forcing them to leave this site just to make it all stop. This can not be allowed to continue, for reasons I should not have to state here. Does that then mean that every bad review is a ‘flame‘? No. If someone genuinely does not like an author’s story, then they have a right to express that opinion. If we are only ever told about the good points about our writing, then we can never grow, or learn, or better ourselves. By hearing about the points that need work, the reviewer is pointing out something that we might not have noticed and need to work on.

Appreciate that honesty. Thank them where possible. Ask the reviewer what you can do to improve. If you can’t do this, ask a friend. At the end of the day, no person is perfect. We all make mistakes. If you can not face that fact, then life, my friend, is going to be very sad for you.

A flame, however, is something else entirely. A flame is written in a deliberately abusive manner, using terminology ranging from ‘You Suck!’ to swearing. The whole point of a flame is to put down the author for the gratification of the flamer. Like any bully, they get a kick out of putting other people down, because for a few brief moments, someone is more miserable than them. They don’t want to help you to improve; they just want to have good laugh at your expense.

On the FanFiction site, there is a growing movement of flamers, who have started working their way through the various fandoms, attacking anyone who they view as an inferior author. There is even a forum named The Fireplace, run by an individual named Flame Rising, designed to be a meeting place for these bullies; a place where they can run down, deride and generally destroy whoever they choose.

Ironically, the majority of the flamers that frequent this forum have posted no stories of their own. This just reinforces the point that these people are not criticising your work because they are interested in furthering the talent on this site. They are doing it because they have nothing better to do than make peoples lives a misery. If the flamers would only attempt to write something creative themselves, they would find it a more challenging prospect than they currently believe it to be. Then they may not be so eager to judge.

Is it unfair of me to ask why people read fanfiction if they prefer the characters not acting as they do in the show/manga/book/whatever. To a frightening degree? Like Sesshomaru bawling his eyes out or smiling twenty-four seven for absolutely no reason. Or Inuyasha saying, "Yes, I love you Sesshomaru. I've always looked up to you, why can't you love me the same way?" *cry, cry, whimper, sob*

I can handle OOCness (a bit, mind you), sometimes I think it fits into a story well. However, I see no point when all the person does is completely change the character's personality. All they're doing is turning the character into an OC with the same name and appearance as that certain character.

(I don't mean to insult anyone via the above rambling. I am just wondering out loud)

Other than that, all I have to say is I can't seem to start my assignment. And imagine, I used to like Ancient History. Yay for Ms. Coyte.

I have to say six habits/things/hates about me:

1. I'm a 1/4 Aboriginal and I wasn't told until I was around 10 or so.

2. I hate waiting. It shits me baaaadly.

3. I hate that I didn't do art as a subject; I feel very empty and I don't enjoy school as much as I used to.

4. I have a habit of daydreaming a lot; I'll be with you one minute, completely lost to what you were saying the next.

5. I cannot recall any of our history lessons. Except for the marriage one; they kidnap their women! And dress them as guys! Which sets off signals in my head (yaoi ones and the lot: check out ~nasumaru's newest pics and you'll get my drift)... Which reminds me Ms Byington told me to let everyone know that we most definitely have to know about marriage customs and economics for the exam.

6. I - Erm - Oh! I hate Subway, Hungry Jacks and Dominoes Pizzas.

Why do holidays pass so fast? I could have sworn they'd only started last week... We only really have three weeks left... NO! I want my holidays back! T_T I still have to start my assignments too... Evil teachers...

Anyway, I got a new mobile for chrissy-mas! It actually works and I don't have to fight with the buttons to get it to dial a number... I also got the entire second series of Hellsing (It's a friggen' fantastic show! XP)... Unfortunately us three kids couldn't come up with the money to buy Mum the first seies of Inuyasha, so we're supposed to get that for her birthday now... ^^;

I've just downloaded about 60mb worth of Inuyasha songs! ><; But they're so catchy! And some of them are translated and the Japanese versions are better... ^^; Neh, I couldn't help myself after we bought the third movie... It's definately my fav, with lotsa Sesshomaru and Rinny and inucest... ^_^

Which reminds me: I updated my site, so if anyone happens to pass through would they let me know if anything isn't working? Or leave a message in the guestbook... It's a little empty...

I will stop rambling now, but I'll see everyone around... Requests and prizes will come when I feel inspired, I've been downright lazy for the past three days... (It's because of the boat rides my family has been making me go on, first to and from the Zoo and then to and from Manly - I hate boats! )

Tired...

So tired...

Had a stop work meeting today so I went to school at 11 o'clock instead of 7:30... Yay...

I have one more assignment (then I'm free! Free I say!)... It's a speech for English... ==; I suck at speeches... It's supposed to be 5-6 minutes long, but I find it difficult to talk for that long normally... How am I gonna last!? I'll work it out... Speaking slowly would probably be the best idea... Or rambling about things that are on topic...

Anyway... Zabuza and Haku died... *bawls* WHY!? They're such interesting characters! Just like Mimimaru! (Haku and him are so adorable as kids! They have big eyes and Mimimaru is so innocent!) ^_^ Zabuza's an interesting person too... He has a soft spot for Haku, and it showed... ^______^

Naruto really is a shonen ai anime disguised as a 'normal' anime... Sasuke and Naruto flirt through out the entire show, Haku and Zabuza are really into each other (you have to watch how they act around each other, it isn't like what a parent would a child or a child would a parent [and I don't care if there's a twenty year age gap!])... Orochimaru's a pedophile too (his tongue and hair and eyes [yes I'm a fangirl] are nice!)... ==; Seriously... he likes little boys, said so himself... Shino's under appreciated though... He's there, but he doesn't get flashbacks... T_T No background for Shino...

I'm rambling, so I'll go now... Just wondering if anyone had an idea for what my icon could look like... (No screenshots or anything of the sort please!)

Warning - RANTS ahead

For the love of all I can spell! Why the f*ck did they get rid of hotmail on the school computers?! How the hell am I supposed to check my mail?! F************ck... I don't have a computer at home, and my aunt's internet is currently dead! How the hell am I supposed to complete homework at the library if I can't get stuff on there?! They don't allow floppy disks or MP3 players on them/ connected to them... They're scared of viruses... Which in all honesty I can understand... But...

F*ck.

And I've recieved an assignment too, and I get another one tomorrow... T_T I swear the Board of Education exhists to make life hard on us students...

Okay... Everyone (or nearly everyone) that watches or looks at my art knows about my love for strange characters... I seem to like characters (over a humungously long period of time) that have weird attributes: extra long tongues, weird noses, sunglasses that never come off, too round eyes and wears spandex, a butt-chin, etc... But in all seriousness why are you looking at my gallery if you don't like those characters even marginally too?

As painful as it sounds, I'd love to be able to get along with insects/spiders/the like... I could spy and cheat easily with them... Seriously, who expects a fly to read the answers and give them to me? *sigh* I loves Shino... And Lee... Lee's crazy... And reminds me of a spider or a frog... And Lupinex! Eeee! How can people not like his chin? Who likes someone who's perfect? What is there to tease them about if they don't have imperfections? How are you supposed to relate to them? I like outcasts... I can relate to outcasts...

So, the reason I'm saying all of this is: Today, I came to see what had changed and found a note that flamed my tastes in anime characters rather viciously... SO!

I'm warning everyone now... I don't care if the character looks 'retarded' or if they should have a 'nose job' or aren't gay... Don't flame me (I'll laugh and delete it), don't threaten me (We're communicating via the internet, the most you can do is leave a virus)... Leave me alone, never look at my art again, because I'm not going to stop drawing my favourite (and admittedly strange) anime characters... And anyway...

You have to be a failty closed-minded person to have a go at me because someone I like doesn't have a 'normal' nose!

Oh and, yes... I don't like Ray... Or Tyson... And I can tolerate Kai and Tala, though I find them grating on my nerves a lot lately...

On a happier note... I've been chosen by my Visual Design teacher to recieve an over $600 scholarship in design and a design package! Weeeeeeee!!! I should thank her today, since I was too shocked too on Monday... I was pretty much shocked still and silent all of yesterday... ^_^ I get a week off school to go to the University of Sydney, whenever I choose, all I have to do is write half a page on what I'm interested in...

Well! I'm now 17, since Friday! And I can actually say without Dam arguing that I'm older than him... Damn the 24 days we're the same age! ><; Oh well... Can't say they're all that bad except for the fact he thinks he can push me around...

Animania didn't turn out to be what I'd expected... *sighs* But it was awesome how much yaoi and everything they had there! If everything hadn't been so dear I might have bought a Naruto headband and worn that instead of my hat... ^_^

Anyway... My brothers were happy I got that Inuyasha movie (and my mum, woah! I've never seen her usher us all into the living room so fast! Usually she's kicking us out!) There wasn't enough Sesshomaru in it for my liking though... ==; He had one part in the entire movie and it lasted a second... He sorta turned his head so he could peer behind him and that was it! There wasn't any Rin neither!

Kyo Kara Moah was awesome! Gwendal and Yuri were mistaken for 'elopers' and I sat there the entire time going, "Gwendal! Gunter's going to hear about you cheating on him! And Yuri, what's Wolfram going to do to you when he finds you handcuffed to his brother and hears the story that you two are lovers? He's going to rip your ears off, that's what!" Yeah, I'm crazy... ^_^ I'm struggling with not going up the street and seeing if they have the fourth DVD... But I need that money! T_T

The manga was great too... Though I haven't really read the entire Loveless volume, I've sorta been too busy staring at the pictures of Youji and Natsuo... ^^; They're crazy! They nail Soubi's hand to the ground! *winces and falls off her chair*

Time Lag's ... cute... It's about these friends that grow apart, and one becomes a cameraman and the other a superstar track person... ^^; Pretty neat, though they needed Seiichi to be more... Alive in some bits. I like his ending note though:

My brother's the littlest s***head there is... I swear... This is fourth time this week he's completely deleted my work... Now I have to start the chapter again!

Anyway...

My holidays have been rather uneventful so far, the odd fight or two ignored that is... My brother's really spoilt, he tipped out his drink! Just because Dam and I had a moutful each! He doesn't even drink it! He jsut lets it sit there!

The thing that made the act worse is that we're struggling with money and he had just wasted more than half a bottle!

Another thing he does is that whenever you get something he'll talk REALLY loudly and then make up some lie which we will be punished for... I lost my allowance for a month beacuse of that! That's $60! Not too mention I could go to grade sport because dad didn't give me the money to pay for the bus...

Anyway... Onto more cheerful news...

It's my b'day in a day (not including today)! That means pizza and cake! ^_^ Both of them I'm making...

I have no idea what prezzies I'm receiving, hopefully something Spencer and Bryanful... Though I really doubt it... ^^; My aunt would slaughter me if she knew I liked yaoi... It's her Christian religion... She stalks me while I'm on her computer now, and she goes through my favourites even though I made a folder specifically for me... We had agreed that our private things were to stay private, but I guess that went out the window...

I read the first line and thought this would be an interesting quiz-thing to complete. It sure is interesting… Yet a bit worrisome too… ^^; It's a pretty good way to come up with weird pairings...

YES! I read this reeeeeally good Sasori/Kankuro fic and kiddy Kankuro was so cute! He was all puffed out from his first puppet controlling lesson! ^_^

(Shibi/Lee) Hmm… Most likely not. Considering their age gap and the fact that Shibi is all quiet and stoic and Lee’s all hyperactive and ‘I am going to prove to everyone that hard work can beat natural talent!’. Also, I think Shibi would be driven insane with Lee’s ‘fire of youth’.

6. Five/Nine or Five/Ten? Why?

(Kankuro/Hinata) (Jiraiya/Hinata) (respectively) Hm… I can see Kankuro/Hinata happening, just like I can see a protective Neji beating Kankuro up. ^_^ But I think the age difference is waaay too large for Jiraiya/Hinata, not to mention Hinata would have died before they made it through their first day as a couple; Jiraiya’s a pervert, Hinata’s so pure.

7. What would happen if Seven walked in on Two and Twelve having sex?

(Orochimaru walking in on Shibi and Chouji) He would either ask to join them, or find Jiraiya. Quickly.

8. Make up a summary for a Three/Ten fic.

Jiraiya peeks into the wrong Hyuuga hot spring and spies Hiashi taking a bath. Thinks Hiashi’s a girl and attempts to ‘woo’ him. Not that it needs to be said, but Hiashi is scandalized and threatens to kill Jiraiya, thinking Jiraiya was sending the gift to one of his daughters. Well it started off good enough...

Woke up... Went for a walk around the parks... I nearly fell asleep in the sun... :relax:

Went back to my Nanna's to find that my bro was being dis-respecrful to her... Yell at him for a while... then started my homework while updating here...

Then I took my little bro to the park and layed down in the sun watching him chase the birds around... I'll laugh when a magpie decides to chase him... Then he comes and tackles me, resulting in me being kicked in the face...

Whilst there I saw that two of my brother's school bullies were there trying to kick down the fence to a factory... The thing that pisses me off most though.... IS THAT THE PEOPLE LIVING NEAR BY HAD JUST FIXED THE FENCE!!!!!!!! So I went over and yelled at them for a while... They went away... But my bro's fearing for his life at school...

Got home to find that my lips are swollen thanks to my bro's kick and now I can't talk properly...
