I've spent almost the entire last two weeks with Drew, which is always a good thing.

Christmas shopping! My god that takes effort. And you can never see where all the money goes. But it's awesome giving presents so it's all good.

I've caught up with friends, been out for days straight and learnt a lot more than I would have at school.

A lot of major stuff has happened this month. However not really the kind of stuff I would like to post for all to see.

My holidays have been awesome so far. I'm just not sounding too excited because I've had to work too. Oh noes! Nah I really do hate working. If it was at all possible, I would quit right now. /complaints

I'm going away in less than two days. (That's why I'm finally updating this thing.) I wont say for how long but I am excited. Deep down. It's not too obvious right now. When I get back, there shall be a party. Yes, yes, I'll make invites and everything.

No idea if I'll be on the net much for the rest of the month. No access for the first few days of January too. How will I survive???

Monday 6th

So, I haven't done much yet. Watched a fair bit. Ooh, I did press the "Do It" button. There's some excitement right there. No but the people are really cool and it takes so damn long to get there every morning!

First off, drive to train station: 10mins
Next, catch train to South Bank: 60mins
Then walk to Citycat: 10mins
Catch Citycat to Bulimba: 45mins
Walk down neverending street to number 122: 10mins

Holy crap!

Tuesday 7th

So it was pretty awesome today. I got to edit Steve Irwin's documentary, Ocean's Deadliest. With extremely strict instructions of course. That's about it really. Did that for a few hours, drew out the Melbourne Cup sweep and did that massive journey back home again. Ooh, I did have Thai food.



Wednesday 8th

Just did a bit of editing with Nick on a segment in Bindi's show. Don't want to give too much away though. It won't be used because, well, as of yet I'm crap. But unfortunately I couldn't take what I did with me either. Apart from that I just watched Bob editing some stoof.

Thursday 9th

Weeell Bob was editing this Queensland Cinematographers' Awards Night film thingy, so I spent the first 2 and a half hours distracting Ben. That's always fun. Then for the rest of the time Nick and I re-edited the Bindi show thing. Turned out Bob gave us the wrong footage. (Then I went to the movies with Drew. )

God I'm getting so sick of 4 hours travel everyday. One day left. A good and bad thing.

Friday

Ok well I didn't actually do any editing today, but it was fun as hell anyway. It consisted of:
- Completely pro rubber band flicking
- Heist instructions to the location of the vending machine
- Karaoke car trips
- KFC
- Watching of a certain show host swearing in every pitch and tone known to man
- Walking halfway across the city through the homeless part (scary)
- Watching a film in a private cinema

Did I mention I'm now really good at flicking rubber bands?




Overall, awesome week. Am not looking forward to returning to school.

Along with my mp3 player and wallet. Managed to get my phone back. Some little jerk at my school stole my shit and threw whatever he/she/they didn't want all over the fucking school. If I find who did it before they give my stuff back I'm going to murder them. Pretty sure Brent or someone (Drew too) said they'd roast his (if it is a 'he') testicles over an open fire.

If anyone knows anything about it please please tell me. I want my stuff back. If anyone can find it I'll buy them lunch or something. There's a lot of sentimental value in these things. Especially my wallet.

Well for the week before last I spent my days camping with friends and family 8 hours south only 50m away from the beach. I love camping. I especially love that hammock . Not the mention the rocks, the walks, the card games, the fires, the sunsets.. all that corny crap.

You'll get the idea from all the photos I post within the nest month or two. I'm going to space them out seeing as I had to give back the SLR .

For the last week we've been doing Aussie Business Week. It's a little difficult to explain for those who don't know but basically we had to create a business and submit things that businesses have to do.. Hmm. That was a very bad explanation.

Anyway it was a competition, first within our school and then for regionals, and we won!!!

Woot.

Seriously.

I've been at this Film Festival Workshop.. thing. It's been awesome anyway. It's always the scariest things that turn out to be the most rewarding. I now have five new awesome friends. Wow, I really can't express how much fun I had. You probably wouldn't've been able to tell if you were there anyway though... because I'm a weirdo. Basically, I just wanna go back in time a week and a bit.

Ahh.. our film got shown at the cinemas on Saturday and everything. Not to mention 3 days off school to edit and pretty much unlimited access to reading cinemas and the rest of harbour town. Hopefully I'll be able to make some more films with these guys.

I thought I already did a journal entry on this! Well here's the news, even if a little late.

Our film we did (myself, Daniel *kungfuelmosan, Courtney ~TooDeadToCryx, Alisha, Jono and Mrs Dargusch) was entered into the Moviemania competition for Queensland, Australia, [link] . The awards night was last Saturday night and we were sweeping in the awards! It was great.

The night was pretty shitty in itself. For instance, at a film gala night, wouldn't you expect to see the films made? Yeah? No. We saw about 20 different dances. Latin dances, ballrom dances, little girls with low cut tops and mini skirts slapping their asses dances.. The entire night they showed 2 films. They only went for 5 minutes each and the night lasted for 7 hours, but no, the host's daughter choreographed the dances so it was the obvious choice.

It was quite amusing actually. Every single person in the host's family had a part in this. Her daughter choreographed the dances; her husband made the statues; her brother judges one category; her sister another, actually I've lost count.

Anyway it was pretty funny. Our group was by far the loudest (we stole the thunder a little bit at times). The chick from Neighbors, Natalie Blair, was there, and Jono was flirting with her the whole time. Hilarious. He interviewed her as well and she could hardly answer she was laughing so much. He ended with, "If, you know, after the awards you wanna.. hang out for a bit, I'll be right over at that table. Yeah, you'll know where to find me ." Oh he's insane. We also kept stealing everyone else's food platters. They always gave us the worst ones. I'm serious. Who really eats gurkins, olives and cheese? Everyone else got sausage rolls, crackers, lollies for christ's sake. Drew (who was also there, along with my moral support: Joel ~teh-pieman and Alycce ~lil-alycceness) and Jono made little men and horses out of the food and filmed them racing. Like I said, insane.

When Natalie Blair was presenting Best Filmmaker of the Year Award, she goes, "You're all very talented people-"
Jono yells out, "Woooo!"
She says, "Especially you, you're crazy!"

Another time during the night Anita Smith (the host) was walking around the tables and Jono goes, "Hey Anita, how about going back up on stage and presenting best actor award?" (the actor for our film obviously being him) and she says, "Oooh. I wouldn't get too excited, Best Actor has to be good looking. "
Aha. He came over to our table sulking.

Oh yes, I haven't mentioned what we won yet! Silly me.

Our film, Desolate Memories ([link] , [link]) won the following awards (in the order they were awarded):

- Best Set Design - 1st
- Best Cinematography - 3rd (Daniel)
- Best Poster - 3rd (Joel)
- Best Producer - 4th (Me)
- Best Drama - 1st
- Best Filmmaker of the Year - 3rd (Me)
- Best Film - 2nd!

Woo

I also won a three day course at In The Bin Film Festival, [link] , which is more exciting than it sounds , Alisha won the lucky door prize and Drew won a chick's number.

We were pretty happy with that.

Governments lead the people to believe many things, whether they are fudging the truth or not.

Don't believe everything you hear. Especially from polititions If something seems biast take a second to think for yourself or even find out the truth.

Update

I just watched a documentary a few minutes ago. It has video evidence of many things contraversy to what the US government claims to have happened on September 11th. Such as:

- Video and CIA backed-up proof that the 'confession video' of Usama bin Laden claiming himself and Al Quida responsible for the 9/11 attacks is a hoax. The man speaking is not Usama bin Laden.

- There is also this [link] from the real Usama bin Laden, telling US authorities he knew nothing about it.

- There is evidence that the alleged Al Quida hijackers are still alive, yet no evidence that they were actually there on September 11th.

- There is scientific proof that the mobile phone calls made by apparent passengers on the plane could not have possibly be made during the flight. Yet there is evidence of the US government having technology to match peoples' voices perfectly, and duplicate it to say something else.

- Video evidence, eye witnesses and claims from firemen and others located in the building, of explosions going of seconds before the planes hit each tower.

- Records of bomb sniffing dogs being removed from the building days before, power being cut off from a number of floors weeks beforehand and evacuations a few days beforehand for 'security purposes'. Authorised by George W Bush's brother.

- Evidence of a paper passport surviving the fall from the plane and through the explosion, yet the US government claims 7 out of 8 black boxes did not survive.

- Eye witness reports of another plane, told by the FBI that they 'Did not see it'.

I know i haven't put anything up in yonks (and everything that's there was old before anyway), but i can't get my photoshop working . I hate putting pictures up without borders, etc. I feel like doing a photo manip too..

Jooooeel! Come and fix my photoshop!

Not only that, i'm on holidays right now, and i'm far busier than i am at school! Oh yay.

I have to paint half the bloody house, put tons of furniture together (which is actually kind of fun), move everything in my room to another room, go to work *shudder*, go to various appointments, see my friends some time (the ones i dont see at school), perfect our group's drama performance (which involves me learning two songs on the keyboard), finish off our film entry scripts, and go filming tomorrow (i'll probably get some photos taken there). Phew. And i've got 6 days to do it all.

Man i'm such a whiner.

Not sure how often i'll be on devart, i'll probably find time for it .
