Dreams often come as series, throughout the night, for a few nights in a row, and/or within some natural cycle of weeks or seasons. They are also intimately interconnected with events in the dreamer's life, and often even with events that are yet to occur (which can make literal interpretation a challenge). Edgar Cayce wisely insisted that one should "interpret the dreamer" and not just the dream alone. Trying to understand a single isolated dream without any life context or a look at other dreams can be like trying to understand a weekly show from a single episode — not pointless, but quite often incomplete.

The dreams that are meant to assist you in waking life, hence which are the most important to contemplate, understand and act upon are recurring dreams, nightmares, and dreams which you've asked for or incubated. Otherwise, any dream which impacts you strongly or sticks with you clearly— especially the dream you remember just before getting up in the morning— along with dreams or dream fragments which spontaneously come to you later in the day, are the ones that your unconscious is trying to bring to your conscious attention. Dreams which have a powerful positive impact and leave you feeling uplifted, inspired or even completely awestruck can be understood, but better yet they can be integrated and have their beneficial impact magnified if you express them creatively (as with this dreamwork exercise) by allowing them to blossom into a poem, painting, story, dance, song, collage, sculpture, or other art form. This same technique is also an excellent type of art therapy to express the fear and difficult feelings from less pleasant dreams.

Note the level of the psyche from which dreams come, which tends to be deeper at the start of the night (and often 'weirder' and closer to our waking awareness as morning approaches (dreams which are more likely to lend themselves to conscious understanding). Look first for simple practical advice about your daily routine such as diet, exercise, and challenges you face at school, work or in your relationships, yet trust that deeper issues are likely also undergoing resolution.

Your own gut feeling is always the best source to trust for understanding your dreams, and should also have the last word as to whether any interpretation is valid. As the Sufi saying goes, "only a fool takes the words of another over his own experience." This said, dreams are often meant for sharing and it's a practice I heartily encourage when done in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Clear insights often pop up simply in the telling, and interestingly, these vary in the presence of different people. Sharing a dream not only refreshes it in your memory and gives you a chance to gain insights while viewing it more objectively, but you may also begin to glimpse how the source from which dreams come is so wise that it knows in advance who you will meet on any given day and often cooks up dreams that are also of benefit, if not sometimes mainly intended for those you later share them with. When sharing a dream, or especially when listening to someone else share a dream, take special note of body language, face expressions and voice intonation/fluctuation since these often reflect related unconscious elements.

1) Lix and I fought. Alot. xD We wrastled! Alot. Marker fights. And then during one of our glorious spars Lix hurt my back. I was down for the count for about two hours maybe? Lol and then we stayed up late, we watched Finding Nemo, which she can quote every line. xD And then we turned off the tv at about..5..6-ish? And decided to make a tent! It was successful. And it was about 6:30-ish and my mom comes upstairs, "I just let Nach out..and I heard giggling." xD EOH! HEEEH! I'M JUST MOVING APARTMENTS! Good times. We finally fell asleep. And were forced to get up by the smell of french toast. :]

The other day when my mom and I were taking down the Christmas tree we had the windows open because it felt amazing outside! It wasn't cold at all- which is odd for January- and there was a nice breeze. Felt like a summer morning. :] Monday it was raining and was so cold, there was frost on everything and icicles hanging off the trash cans- which Austin Ford ate O_o btw. Tuesday it was warm, no ice, no frost. Yesterday it felt pretty good outside, I was spinning Bartholomew and practicing the routine wearing shorts a tank top and no shoes. I go outside a few minutes ago wearing sweats and thick socks and shoes and it's so cold I can't take it anymore. xD

I'll come out of denial now admit that YES Texas has some fucked up weather. xD

I did find out that she could have diabetes or she could have liver issues, but she needs like CBC scans and abdominal x-rays done. TT_TT I asked my rents if we could take her to Nacho's vet and have them look at her and my dad said jokingly, "Oh sure, just let me take back..ten of your Christmas presents and I'll do it." I was like OKAY TAKE THEM BACK RIGHT NOW. And of course, he's not serious. TT They said if she doesn't stop going in the house, we'd get rid of her. AGAIN that's horrible. TT I started crying, even if we do give her to someone else what IF she really is sick and needs medical attention? I couldn't deal with that! So they said they would take her soon.

I hope she's really okay and that she's going through some stage.

Okay, so deviants that originally read my journals would know that I had Color Guard tryouts for the Freshmen team today, and it is a fact that I did make it. What threw me off guard, ((heh color guard, off guard heheh...okay bad joke. -_-) was that I was assigned a “shadow” o,o. The judge told us four, I'm guessing we had the highest scores, that we'd each have one. Like if grades were an issue and we couldn't participate in a game or something, that we'd have 1 chance to sit out and get our grades up. Only 1 chance. But I'm going to go out on a branch and say flat out that I know there was NO way that some girls got on, I mean, some of them sucked and some of them were really good. And I think that they assigned us “shadows” because they didn't want to seem unfair to some who probably shouldn't have made the team their first year. But that's just me. My friend, who also had a “shadow”, was messing around and saying stuff like “oh they just gave us an “understudy” since they sucked, they didn't want to lose the best ones.” lol how funny is she? Hmm..what else, what else.. Oh, I've hit myself twice in the face with the top stopper. Twice. Once the other day, and it hurt because it hit my braces. TT_TT And yesterday. Darn the wind. I hate it. I was doing the inverted windmill, and the wind turned it sideways instead of vertical. And it changed the flag's direction completely, BAM! Right in the face. There's like a knot there now. TT_TT and it hurts. A lot. Um, I got a silk (thas the flag FYI) burn, and a bruise. On my HAND, like right on the outside of my palm. Um, I've hit two people. Colton like hurt himself the other day. He tripped over my flag and like did a flip into a window.. xD I so wish my flag would suddenly go fly out 30 feet and hit the one girl I really don't like and I won't even say “HEADS UP!!” . T_T ROGUE FLAG! MY BAD!! Haaaa that'd be sooo funny. Especially if she had a concussion. SHE thinks you can do Color Guard AND Marching Band at the same time. XD Hah, she's so naïve. AND RIGHT NOW SHE TICKS ME OFF. BECAUSE OF HER, I GOT OUT IN KICKBALL TODAY IN ATHLETICS. LEARN HOW TO KICK A DAMN BALL WOULD JA?!? Jeeeezzzz.
I met a new girl today, I can tell that we're gonna be great friends. In art, I found out that she LOVES FanFiction..net, loves to write and draw, loves anime, and DEATHNOTE!!! She uses big words that I understand. She knows some Spanish like me. We're both tall, so that's a change. Taller than me by like an inch. Um...Anything else? =0 I don't think there's anything else. Oh wells. I'll let ja'll rest. I just realized that this is a long one, Well, not really, but it's longer than I've written/typed in a while.
