I hope you guys are all having a great summer so far! It's been beautiful weather here lately and that makes my summer camp job a whole heck of a lot easier. Thanks so much to everyone who left a birthday message in the last post - it really helped brighten my day!

I have a ton of comic ideas ready to be created but I've just gotta get around to them Time flies by so fast
I've also been working on my original idea for a comic and hopefully I'll be posting some of them soon
and I may have gotten a job illustrating a children's book! (I haven't worked it all out with the author but things are looking good!)

So the next couple of days are going to be a busy one because some big things are happening!

-Biggest thing is that today is my birthday! (Yay and ugh at the same time!)

-I got the Sims 3 as a gift so I don't know if I'll be doing anything else in my free time (Good bye social life!)

-I finally start work on Monday which will a nice change from constantly hanging around my house working

-Monday is also my 5th anniversery of being on Deviantart! (but not really since I disapperared for 2 or 3 years )

I'll (hopefully, if I have time) be posting some thing in the next couple of days!

Also I'm super pumped that the next Layton has a release date and that they announced Golden Sun Ds! It makes me want to go back and play the first two Golden Suns

And if you guys haven't heard/seen, Court Records has some of the orchrastrated music from Gyakuten Kenji! Yaaayyy!

I'm extremely giddy at the moment. Whoo Boy!

My one warning is to be ready to cry your heart out! I was in tears pretty much through the whole thing.

Ugh I think I'm going to run a couple of miles or something to burn off all this energy!

I'm going to cut to the chase - I'm not going to be updating that much in the upcoming months I think. It's coming towards the end of the semester and things are just crazy. So I apologize to everyone waiting for more Phoenix Wright comics, I have a couple of pages laid out but I'm not going to touch them till I'm sure I don't have any school work due. (A super special apology to the kiriban winners: they'll be the first ones that I work on when I get the time!)

I might be posting two school projects some time this week though. In my one class I'm working on an inflatable animal made of just trash bags and we have to inflate them tomorrow so that should be fun. We made a Phoenix and no I did not come up with that idea so it isn't connected to Phoenix Wright in any way except for the fact that one of my partner's name is Nick and he keeps calling me Chief....does that make me Mia?

The other project is the children's book I had to write and illustrate. I'm the only art major in my class so...I went a tad overboard.... children's books are on average 32 pages long, mine at first was laid out to be over 45 pages then I managed to cut it down to 35 then the final project is 30 (32 with the title page) I don't know if I'll put up all 32 pages but I might if they look good when its all done. If you want a sneak peak, go look in the scraps. I'm using an old story idea from 2007 so you can see the old character designs for my book there. I had to cut out the Prince and the siblings which made me kind of sad...

If you noticed by the lack of updates and that the chart hasn't moved down below, it's because I've been a very busy girl. ugh!

Also I have a question for you guys (like I always do) . Tomorrow is my school's first ever convention and I may or may not be doing the artist alley. I'm just thinking of drawing some doodles on index cards. Is this a good idea or a bad idea? If it's a good idea, how much would you pay for one? I would do this along with taking a few commissions. Another thing is that I have no clue what's popular right now in the world of anime/geekdom. I'm just over in my Phoenix Wright/Scott Pilgrim corner oblivious to everything else. What should I draw on the cards that would sell?

Like I said, I may or may not be doing this but it's always good to know just in case!

I just posted this and I don't think I should do the artist alley. I would love to but I do this to myself where I just add more and more to my pile of work that I don't need to do. Once I get my school work settled down then I can let myself do extra things like this.

Okay then! Tomorrow is going to be filled with school work and a break where I go to the convention!

Ack! It's been a month since I last updated this!
School is getting a little more crazy for me so the new comic pages are taking a bit longer than I expected.

I'm horrible at managing my time so every Wednesday I was like "I should have a page up!" but obviously I didn't. So I'm taking back that posting on one day a week thing and I'm thinking of using an update chart? How would you guys like that?

Thanks for all of your comments guys! I'm going to keep them all in mind but seems that almost everyone likes how the comics are done (...amazing!) and the idea of posting single pages on a certain day. I'm thinking of Wednesday but I'll see what works with my schedule.

Other news that isn't so important/interesting, I got a marker that I've been looking for since 6th or 7th grade. It's a Sakura Brush pen and I've only seen it once (it was someone else's so I couldn't buy it D: ) I've always looked for it but never found it until today.
So I'm going to be doodling with it alot

I've got some questions for you about my comics!

Do you guys have any comments or critiques about my comics? What would make them better/ easier to read? Should I make them bigger/smaller, spread out the panels, do something about the lettering or anything? or do you like them just the way they are? This is my first time at doing any thing like this and I think a difference can be seen from the beginning of the hobo hat series and now and I'd like to keep that trend going

I'm also thinking of doing longer story arcs, so what would be preferred - Single pages uploaded when they are finished or all the pages up at the same time?

Anything would be great and be a big help!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
I hope everyone is having a great day!

I've been kind of thinking of a Hobo hat special comic for Christmas and I finally got the right idea. Only problem is that I got the idea last night at 2 o'clock and its 3-4 pages D: So I might be spreading Christmas out for a couple of days this week if you all don't mind! (Another slight problem is that I don't think I have a scanner here so I might have to take it with my camera)

I've also gotta get to work on that PW Gift exchange. But now that the holiday is going to be over I think I'll have some more time to sit and draw. I've actually been sewing mostly because I thought they would be great gifts. I'm making a quilted pillow for my Grandma and a purse for my friend. I think I'll post pictures of the purse because so far its turning out pretty good and I finally got to use my cute fabric with russian dolls on it.

There's so much I want to do during break! I just got done my sewing class and now all I really want to do is sew. I found a great pattern for a bag online and I think I want to make a case for my game boy. I'm also going to try and make some different cookie recipes this year.

I signed up for the Gyakusai Gift Swap so I'm going to be working on that this week. I got some really hard choices for mine and I was thinking of doing one but the idea behind it kind of crashed. Then I had an idea for the one choice I was thinking I defiantly didn't want to do. But its turned into a 2-3 paged comic. Oh geeze~ haha I always do that though!

I'm horrible at finishing things when I don't want them to end. I think I'm going to try to finish Trials and Tribulations this week though. I got half way through the last case when I stopped.

I'm not done all my work but tonight is my relaxing night so I felt like posting some stuff.

I've been feeling pretty sick for the past week, with a bad headache and being really dizzy. So I went to the doctor and it turns out that I had a really super bad case of stress. Then last night I put two and two together. Drawing is a way for me to relax and unwind and I haven't been drawing at all this week.

No drawing = Stress = Me dying = Not so good

So my lesson is learned and I've been taking breaks to scribble a bit but I still have a ton to do D:

I can't wait for break to start (so close yet so far)

I tried to catch a stray black cat that crossed my path (I named it Jinx in my head) and I saw a Phoenix Wright cosplayer on campus! I was on my bike and while I rode past I said "Looking Neat" or something equally lame

So...I'm going to be Eve from Wall-E tomorrow night and the picture is up! My roommate took the pictures and we made them really dramatic because I entered it at the American Apparel online costume contest.... so I would love you guys so so much if you all would go vote for me!
