Today i heard the news of a very very close & special person in my life; that there is a slight chance of me loosing her, the Doctors are still doin the tests and everything else, but i cant get over the idea that they saw something and thats what made them double the tests or whatever they call it. I cant accept the idea of me losing anyone else specially this person who was always there for me when i needed her, was always there when i needed a shoulder, was always there when i needed someone to listen to me, was always there in every single minute of my life and i cant see my life without her in it.

i'm counting the seconds until Wednesday to know the results and i'm praying day & night that she comes out of this safe & sound and that the doctors are all wrong. i'm praying that i see her healthy, strong as always and most of all see that smile on her face even when she knows now that she might have some serious disease.

They call it Cancer and i just hope i hope this is all just a bad dream, i need to wake up and the doctors are the only ones who can wake me up.

I dont need ur comments, i dont need ur pity or sorry comments. all i need is a prayer to keep her safe for me and plz keep it to ur self.

I turned 25 last night Feb. 22 oh yeah almost a quarter century feels soooooooo good ppl, anyway to keep the memory of this special day i decided to have a party not like every year hang out with friends and stuff our faces with chocolate cake and well all sort of chocolates. This time i wanted to have a silver birthday party where i see all my family, best friends and family friends around me to celebrate. well honestly speaking the whole idea behind this party was because i was very busy the past couple of months and kind of lost contact with my friends i even lost contact with my mother who lives with me in the same house.

I invited the my friends, family friends and everyone i could think of. got their confirmation and i thank them for that and then decided to book the ball room after i got the final number of people who were suppose to come to the gathering lets say.

50 people we invited, 40 of them were my guests who never showed up and called me to cancel on me on the very very very last minute.

Let me list for you the reasons why my best friends didnt show up to my birthday party:

- One of my friends didnt have a car and thought the place was way too far for anyone to drop her, well let me just say that on your wedding night, i went to work on Sh. Zayed road finished at 530, went back home in Sharjah dressed up for your wedding and drove back all the way to Dubai on Sh. Zayed road again where your wedding was.

- another one had to go to AD for a meeting and smsed me around 730 to tell me that she cant make it cause she is really tired and on her way from AD, to that i say for your sisters wedding that i dont know i stayed late at work, brought my dress with me changed my clothes there and made it to your wedding only because the wedding was 10 minutes away from my office.

- another one surprisingly fell in the office and broke her leg ouch, not 2 days ago, not tomorrow on the very same day of the party.

- one of my friends didnt know that she had a family wedding until the day of the party, to that i say on your wedding day i had a family commitment but i made it to your wedding.

who ever had a duty travel, work commitment or what so ever i would have really appreciated it if you told me this earlier and not on the same day.

Thank you very much dearest friends you made it and embarrassed me infront of my family and my family FRIENDS.

who ever thought i throw this party ONLY to get presents, ah please grow up i can buy anything my heart desires anytime i want. i decided to have a party to gather all my friends in one place and catch up.

Thanks once again cause you showed me what the real friendship is : )

10 days ago I had an eye infection it all started when one of my colleagues that I hardly talk to said to me (on a very boring day when I was NOT in the mood) that my mascara is WOW… well I’m not that type of people who wears makeup and color my face with rainbow lines, and especially on that day I had NOTHING at all on me. A couple of hours later my eyes started to burn and turned into red and by the time I got home there was like a blood spot in my eye I just used an eye drop and hoped it’ll be better the very next morning that’s when I woke up and felt like there is a rock sitting on top of my eye. Yes my eye was not only red but swelling too.

The first thing the doctor told me was he has to operate upon my eye in order to remove that (adipose gland) in my eye. Got scared and decided to take a second opinion. My second opinion was a Russian doctor so I kinda felt more comfortable seeing her especially when she said that I don’t need a surgery she only gave me an eye solution and an eye drops. It got better for exactly 2 days.

My eye is still red; there is no slight change in the past 5 days I thought there was, but nope it’s all red and swelling and I’m depressed because of it

i met one of those heros when i was 7 a hero who somehow made me a stronger fawaghi, Solaiman mofthy solaiman aka "Abu 3ajjaj" who made isreal lose their mind back in the 60's. they then convicted him for a thousand years they tried to be generous by reducing the period to a 99 years due to his health problems, later in the seventies the late president Mr. Anwar Al Sadat made a deal to release him by exchanging him with a couple of israeli war prisoners. they released him finally but with one arm, and a several shrapnel and a bullet that settled in his right ear that he refused to remove.

Abu 3ajjaj lived in shj for quite some time and was a family friend, i used to hang out in his house when dad used to visit him and see him heal people using his herbs that he used to plant in his house, i never wanted to be near him as i was afraid of touching his right hand the hand he lost fighting israeli's until one day dad dropped him to see this lil handicapped girl and asked me to help him see what her problem was. all i did was talk to the lil girl who was my age and helped walk across the room. by the end of the day he asked me how it felt to help the handicapped girl and if she hurt me in any way i knew what he meant so all i did was i smiled and shaked his hand. a couple of years later i started going to the sharjah city for humanterian services and offered my help with the handicapped kids and learned their language

I didnt see abu 3ajjaj for almost 10 years now and it shocked me to see an article in the news papers last thursday to say that he died at the age of 71 in jordan...

I have to admit it I’m gonna miss Wednesdays naaaah lets be honest here the only reason is that today is Tuesday and I’m soooooooo not in the mood for anythin’, I had a long night I’m sleepy I have so much work to do but the best part is I’m chit chattin’ to my very best friend the GREAT Red_Bull thank you Austria for introducin’ us to each other though the idea of Tourine being there all the time makes me kinda sick but its fine really I can accept him.

Traffic traffic traffic everybody is complaining about it I decided not to do so; have fun instead and not stress my self so here is what I do now every single morning on my way to work. Camera on stand by and the minute I see something “weird” is happening say a guy pickin’ his nose, a child yawnin’ or a chick fixin’ her makeup …….etc I show my baby to the world and GUESS what happens everybody stop their cars and try to give me way hehe I think they are all camera shy the best part is that I reached work in 40 minutes LOOOL… I RULE “I didn’t take one single photo btw”

So I’m very well known at work as the EWWW girl lol every time i see somethin’ ewwwy lol if that’s a word I go like ewww ewww ewww omigod ewww lol

20 years later i finally went back to Egypt, went to visit the old neighborhood where we used to live, the old park where i used to play, the old nursery where i had friends and meet my old dearest friend Mr. Sphinx and his 3 loyal guards

I have to admit this was one of the best holidays i have ever had in years well 2 years lol, and of course where ever fawaghi goes she has to leave her mark. yes i had a fight with a 7 year old kiddo and i WON lol.. i called a beautiful horse "donkey" several times bkoz she wouldnt stop smelling my shoes she got pissed off and refused to move and i kept apologising to her for 20 minutes in the middle of the dessert and they named her sugar lol

bottom line i HAD FUN.

well what i heard today bout what was on Dubai TV that they interviewed the actors/ actresses. singers and all the media and art people. what for?? to talk about the situation in Lebanon. mm hmm those ppl are the right ones to approach to clear the lebanese case!! did they try intervewing someone in charge to actually talk about the real situation in Lebanon!!! guess not really... i wonder why?!!

I think what we all should is a lil less conversation and a lil more action... and a lil less useless interviews

I take this opportunity to invite all the UAE photographers to participate in Sh. Zayed tribute project.
Trust most of you if not all of you have heard of this project and that it’s been goin’ on for a while now, a lot of reasons were behind postponing and holding publishing the book and I rather keep them to my self

The whole idea of the book is to present all the quotes of Sh. Zayed allah yer7ama, take photographs and try to symphonise them both together “hope I used the right description here”.

If any of you UAE national photographers is interested to get more information and inquiries about the same or to help out and get this tribute done for our late father, please note me your full name and contact details or email me on Fawaghi@gmail.com

If I received a good number of participants I will be calling for a meeting ASAP to distribute the work to each and everyone to get the work done soon. Those of you who will not be able to attend the meetings at all send me a note to send you some of the quotes that were not touched.

Its funny how the "wrong" ppl always get appreciated. not only i'm talkin' bout the work enviroment, but in general as well. you simply do somethin' for someone and by the end of the day you realise that you actually did it for unknown person and at the same time someone else got the credit for somethin they never even thought of doin' it. anyhoo here is what happened to me this morning

today i had this meeting early in the morning, and i realised that the hard work i've done for the past month was credit to my indian colleague who did nothing at all honestly, but checkin' on the work i've done every now and then.

the minute i reached the office i wrote my report or lets say my own minutes of the meeting and refered everything that was discussed in there to ME and forwarded the email to all of my 3 managers and my indian colleague

she read the mail came to me pissed off and askin' me to recall the message i asked her if there is anythin' wrong in my report she said "very confident" that i SHOULD put in her name instead i gave her the blank look laughed and luckily at the same time recieved a call from my boss congratulating on a job well done

so when i hung up the phone she was like fawaghi i'm way pissed off of what u did today. (i still dont get what she meant) but my answer was well darling my mission is accomplished for the day

well i mentioned 6 weird things bout me the first time i was tagged by TG, and my precious eagle81 mentioned another 6. i guess i should mention the weirdest 6 things bout me well i'll try at least

1- everytime someone (IDIOT) hits my car with their door i and apologies to my car (lulu) for not being there for her to defend her

2- i believe in past life, signs, aliens and life on other planets

3- the minute i see a fly or any kind of ant my whole body starts to itch yek

4- whenever i hear that someone is in pain and a part of his body hurts so bad, the same part of my body hurts even if it was a toe

5- when i read a book or watch a movie, i pick my favorite character and put me in her/his shoes makes reading and watching a movie more fun i believe

6- I hate the idea that i cant see the expressions on my face when i make them its kinda annoying LOOOL

whats up, o how was ur weekend.

i watched Ice Age2, all of u out there who did not watch it dude ur missing a lot its hilarious i swear.

been watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy all day long i started from 3 pm decided to stop at 12am and i still didnt finish part 2

12am to 4 am resumed reading Triumph of the Sun by Wilber Smith still reading it really kinda ignoring all of my pending work

We humans are a combination of immaginations and thoughts, which i believe is considered a creativity in a way.
I realised lately that i'm surrounded with these type of people everywhere i go or turn boom there is one creative person in front of me and in all different areas, you have poetry, photography, art and a lot of other areas. each one of them got his very much own style and they can easily put u in the mood they were in at any time.

Let me go through some of those unique and creative people i know

Totally Gurlish: i always knew that you can write, but i never knew that you had such a talent
keep it up, keep up the good spirit you have, keep up the passion for writing

s3ood: your last photos inspired me i have to admit that, your interview is just the begining for a lot more to come. you've got your touch, your unique style and the will to be a pro and you will be

Maysoon: My elder sister i guess you are the only one who got everything from both sides lol, you got the poetry and writing talent from mom and dad and added your lil beautiful touche by bringing us such beautiful amazing drawings and filled the house with some of ur talented work i'm so proud of u to be my elder sister

m7mad(lammtara): he's someone who posses talents that have no limits, he has explored art in every field, that's what a real artist is all about and he knows more about arts than a lot of us put together. he's managed to do what none of us had the guts to start with. starting from lammtown going through whats in between all the way to freej m7mad i salute U

7amad (Hamedical): i said it before and i'll say it again you are a new world of creativity, innovation and inspiration, Unique style, Brilliant ideas, and mind-blowing words. keep it up 7amad you are inspiring a lot of ppl that i know as i'm one and since its part of you now i believe you wont let go

Maissa: she lives in a world of her own, you see her holding her brush and her canvas is ready 24/7 to be colored anytime to be one of millions of beautiful creative drawings.

those people are enough to spread the positivity of creativity everywhere they go, i'm just so happy i'm surrounded by them among a lot of other people that i haven't mentioned

good things, bad things, happy and sad news passed by me in 2005, lets see if i can just remember any!

i started 2005 with my sister's wedding and ended it up saying goodbye to the other sister



January:

February: nothing exciting as i cant remember a single thing other than my birthday oh wait wait wait i bought a new car

March: My sister spreading the news of her pregnancy

April: My best friend's grandmother passed away...

May: other than my 3 sisters birthdays, my friends Colleague passed away with a heart attack...

June: My friend passed away with Epilepsy.

July: 3 of my friends passed away in a car accident...

August: My best friend left to the states to finish her masters, i was left all a lone

September: wow kinda exciting month, while ppl was calling me photography theif i was handed over my very first project, became an aunt to baby faris.

October: My friend passed away, she got hit by a bus and died on the spot... a few days earlier i had a fight with her and never had the chance to apologise and for that i'll never forgive my self

November: My project is on the move, but very slowly darn till now

December: met my new best friend and went in a tour in Europe and today i'm going back home

sorry all if i ruined ur day in any way, was just trying to review my year 2005

i know a lot of other things happened during 2005, but this is all i can think of right now, my plane is taking off and i have to run thats why

my friend says i should take a break, but i just can't how can i take a break of shooting while i'm travelling and seeing exciting places and just let go its hard... i've taken photos to every single i've been to and all the photos look like crap

i said maybe its the weather, but when i gave my sis my camera she turned out to show me superb shots, then i realized nope it is me blame not the weather gurl

ah you should have seen the way he was talkin' bout her and describin' their relationship, wow i don't remember seein' my cousin ever talkin' bout someone the same way he was talkin' bout her.

I was happy, i was touched first that he chose me of all people to talk to me bout his true feelings towards this girl,second the truth is that he is 21 years old and all he was talking about is how will he build his future with his own hands just to make her proud of him and then by the end of the day start a happy family with her.

I am proud of him to think of his future and life this way and to make up his mind on something at this age, he was that lil boy i used to play with and hang out with he's all grown up today and i thank you god for turning him up to be this guy i'm proud of and point out at him and tell everybody that this guy is first of all my best friend, my brother and my cousin

i'm travelling next week, so my mom been nagging on my head for the past week to go and buy me something new for the trip and i keep telling her that i'll order something online, well today since she knows that i NEVER carry cash she put in my hand a few thousand bucks and begged me to go shopping (The real version is she threatened me if i came back home empty handed she'll throw me out ) oh mothers

so i left work at around 4 picked up my tickets and then roamed around in the car for couple of hours just to know where to shop, i was on the phone with a friend of mine who mentioned the city center so i found my self there and here comes my biggest nightmare SHOPPING ok i bought a couple of things which i admit it i loved them, but i waisted 2 hours of my time just to get those 2 couple of things, while if i was online shopping in these couple of hours i would furnish my house!!

online shopping was made for ppl like me why cant mom just accept the idea and try to live with it... god

anyhow one fine day i called one of the boys who works with me and gave him my car keys to drive it and see if there is anything wrong going on there. a few minutes later he calls me to ask me meet him in the parking area to see him a long with 2 other guys checking my back left tire, guess what it was LOOSE actually the 5 screws were loose and 1 screw fell somewhere in the street

Today was my 20,000 Km service, so i mentioned to them that i will not pay a single penny all i'm paying is for the service and service only anything else will not be charged to me, also i mentioned to them that i have a police report that my tire was loose and i can easily sue them for that.

the guy from the workshop told me the charge is AED 600/- ONLY when i left the workshop he called me again to tell me that they are charging me AED 1,500/- for changing the battery and the breaks, a couple of hours later he calls me again to tell me that i have to pay AED 2,500/- for they are changing the whole of my break system.

i mean ok is it just bkoz i'm a girl and i'm sooo not into cars like guys this is happening to me or is this just not my day.


i have been sitting in my office all day long thinking of if they are really going to exchange those parts or they are just trying to make life miserable bkoz i mentioned to them that i'm going to sue, honestly now after the way they treated me and my car i'm seriously thinking to sue them.

what do u think should i just pay it off and forget the whole thing or what?

well today was sooooooo not my day, i got pretty much late to work which is to ME its odd thanx to the awesome traffic i face like every single day of my life. I noticed that i spend more time in the streets than i spend at work or with my friends and family Darn that sux

our managment weekly meeting started at around 10 and it went on till around 1 pm, i missed a lot of discussions as i was half awake and i totally didnt have time to get my RedBull drink to give me power my powers

another meeting at 3 it was a short one i finished at 4 but it was productive one too

and just when i was about to leave work that is about 530 PM i get a call from one of my clients who is stuck somewhere and needs my help to get him out of the woods

and so on i stayed there till 7PM and here i am i just got home dead tired, but i have to finish 2 of my reports

well first of all Hi everybody its Fawaghi, i'm a photographer and a person who is way too bad with words, i cant use them in the right moment or to serve the subject.

I learned not to trust anybody, but my self. Thx to a lot of situations i've been through and thanx to the precious friends who stabbed me in the back (i still have them as friends though, the rest have walked away) THANK YOU for that

im very straight forward, tough sometimes, when it comes to work i'm always serious and i just cant stand the idea of ppl not taking their work seriously.
