1. When did you first acknowledge that you could draw well, or decided you wanted to learn to draw?
I used to sit next to this girl called Georgia at school, and she was really good at drawing - loads of different things. I was, frankly, crap. But I really wanted to draw - so I started. Was still crap for a number of years - one of my art teachers told me to stick to English, and years later I didn't do well at my at GCSE. But look at me now, a A-Level in Fine Art and working on a degree at Coventry. So there - live your dreams, kids! *points, wink*
((Although I currently work full time as a article writer and proof reader, so that teacher was probably right.))

2. Is there anything 'deviant' about your art, as the site's name would imply?
Er~ I don't know. I like the occasional nipple and unrealistic proportions, but I'm not a deviant, really I'd love to do something more gruesome, but I have the one main sketchbook currently, and I like it when people look through it - so something a bit scary might be.. awkward.

3. A video game company has put you in charge of designing a lead character for a platformer title. What have you created?
Some sortof female mutant type. wings, tentacles - translucent skin, something like that. with a completely different look - curvy but no Lara Croft, and with a tongue as sharp as a razor blade.

4. You just found out a 12-year-old has been heavily referencing your characters, perhaps even tracing them. What do you do?
Report them to DA staff. Bwahahhahahaha~
Well, I don't know, really. Ask them if they'd credit me please in their descriptions, and if they turn out to be horrible, then report them.

5. Would you feel comfortable if your parents viewed your Deviantart gallery, or had it bookmarked?
Not really - they've seen me draw enough times, there's nothing really dodgy here

6. Do you view your Deviantart account as your online professional/college portfolio? A site through which you seek critique/improvement? A social network? (All are valid.)
I see Deviantart as more of a social thing good for critique - and I can dump everything here :3 My personal website is more exclusive, and I'm trying to maintain an aura of vague professionability there.

7. What would it take to get you to draw porn? For those who already draw porn, why do you draw it?
I draw nudes - but not porn. I think it wouldn't take much for me to draw porn, I just really haven't wanted to. I'll probably have to make some Clive porn at some point for Justine.

8. You are hired to do illustration/graphic work for a company you've hated since you were a child. For example, someone who grew up a fan of DC comics and hates Marvel is offered a job working on one of Marvel's major titles. Do you turn the job down?
Hell no, experience is experience! I wouldn't have to work with them forever.

9. Do you like fan art? If so, what do you look for in fan work? What makes it 'art' for you?
I'm partial to a bit of Final Fantasy fanart. But I don't go mad over it. It has to be well drawn, or coloured, or imaginative - I'm not keen that a scrawled out 10 min sketch of Naruto will get more favs and comments than something people spend all day on.

10. Everyone makes a big deal about 'style.' How do you define style?
That's a toughie - I guess it's what makes you unique and recognisable. Like someone can take a look at a picture and know who it's by without looking at the watermark. I don't think I have my own style yet, but I'm working on it

11. On a related note, how important is personal style for an artist? Should an artist's style be versatile, or would compromising their style to pander to a certain audience make them 'sell outs?'
I think an artist should draw how they want, and give the middle finger to those who say they don't like it - for every person that dislikes it, there will be another that loves it.

12. What would your ideal job as an artist/illustrator be?
I'd love to work on the team that did all the character and costume design for Lord of The Rings - that would be my dream job. Otherwise, I'd love to do game conceptual art or comic pencils.
