Sorry! Been busy. I just got on summer vacation two weeks ago, and so far, I haven't really been enjoying it. I don't really like summer much anyway, because where I live, it's brutal heat, 24/7. I mean, yeah, I'm used to it, but I still don't like it.

But that's not the reason why I don't like this summer vacation. My parents have been kind of ruining it for my sister and I. They have been fighting so much, it's ridiculous. This summer was the first time in my entire life where I saw my father cry. I'm not going to post the entire story because it's extremely long and boring. Just know that it started in Decemeber, so that's one of the reasons I haven't been posting a lot.

Anyway. My dad's moved out. He's up in a little fishing town right now, since my mom said that they needed a seperation. I thought that I would be elated about this, but to be honest, it's more of a bittersweet feeling. I dunno. It's weird.

So yeah. My life pretty much sucks right now. But I'm cool with it. I'm not mad about my parents fighting like my sister is; I understand that it's their problem, and that it's in their control, and I was taught that you aren't suppost to worry about what's not in your control.

I'm still doing my music with my band. We got a new bassist/vocalist in January, and he's something amazing. He added the missing piece to our band. It kind of sucks at how he's leaving this summer. He's going to Virginia to spend time with his mom, so we're trying to find a temporary replacement for him. We already have someone in mind, but it's not official.

Oh, and we replaced our drummer. Our former drummer was holding us back, e.g., he never came to practice, when he did, he said he was too tired to play, etc. So, we got our guitarist's older brother to play drums, and he is amazing. I'm really glad he's apart of our band.

My band actually has a gig at Hot Topic tomorrow night! Yes, the store. Apparently, Hot Topic does acousitc gigs about every two weeks for new, unsigned local bands. I talked it over with the employees, and they said sure. I gave them our demo, and they've been playing it in the store, you know, getting the word now. We even made a (sucky) flyer! Haha.

But yeah. I'm sorry I haven't posted in like, forever. I really need to start getting more active on dA. x3

Speaking of which, we bought six boxes of candybars, containing fifty chocolates each, for $30. And each candy bar is sold for $1. So that means we make a $20. Not bad, but anything will help us at this point.

Out goal is at least $600. We're trying to buy a PA system right now, and I found one at Guitar Center Online for like, $550 or something. So yeah. I miss having practice. I wish one on my amps worked... T_T

School's going good. A ton of homework though. I couldn't do most of it tonight because I had my eyes dialated, and I couldn't see anything clearly.

And I have just... something weird to say. I still have like, feelings for my ex. He's older than me, and lives in Canada. He didn't like the online thing, so we kinda just stopped talking to each other, despite having a lot in common (including our birthdates). I was just wondering if that was weird. I miss him, but he's bipolar, and has a boyfriend now in Canada with him. I just wanted to just say that real fast. =x

This month is fucking crazy. The past week was extremely full.

September 1: Labor Day
September 2: Sister's allergy appointment
September 3: America's Next Top Model premiere!
September 4: Conseling
September 5: School, then had a fun afternoon with my sister and her boyfriend
September 6: State Fair
September 7: Bake sale with my band

That was just the first week. Next week I'm not doing anything except for conselling on Thursday. But the week after that...
September 12 or 13: Going shopping with my friend for my Halloween costume
September 14-15: Nothing really, just school
September 16: PFLAG meeting, I think...
September 17: I get my braces off that day! Then going to the State Fair (again) later that evening to see my sister's godfather play with his band. And then I need to pick up my retainer
September 18-19: School
September 20: Little niece's first birthday

And two things for the last week.

September 23: Beck concert!
September 27: My grandma's birthday.
Rest of September: Nothing, I don't think.

Okay, so, I really need money to record (not asking this time, just telling) with my band. And our rhythm guitarist specifically said that it would be $50 for a month subscription to the recording studio.

He was wrong.

A couple of days ago, I got a call from our lead guitarist saying that our rhythm guitarist was wrong, and now, the recording fee is...

$45 PER HOUR.

It may not seem like much, but trust me, I'm dead broke. All of us are dead broke. And even though my parents said they'd give me $50 to record as a reward for helping my dad install a new toliet, it's still not enough. I'll be out of money within the hour.

I want to sell my DVD player, but I don't know how. I've never sold a single thing online, I don't know how eBay works, and pawn shops are a rip off. I also have Halo 1, Halo 2, and Oblivion for Xbox/Xbox 360 that I want to sell, but I wouldn't know how.

Any help, suggestions, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. And remember, I'm not asking for money; just help this time.

That was the best gig ever.

AND IT WAS OUR FIRST ONE TOO.

I was soooooooooo nervous at first, but I really started to get into it (and so did the audience). Eveything went fine, except for our last song.

Okay, so, like, we finished the entire set, but we still had about fifteen minutes left. So, our guitarists played "Unholy Confessions" by Avenged Sevenfold without bass and drums (because we don't know that song yet).

Worst idea ever. xD

But eveything other than that went fine. Even a professional photographer took a couple of band shots of us for free.

Yeah.

Now our band is on a little hiatus. Our drummer is going to Washington state tomorrow, and the rest of us, well, need to rest. XD

We might have band practice without our drummer, but that means going to his basement, get all the equipment, and hauling it all the way over town to our guitarist's house. And I don't want to do that. So yeah.

I don't know about other gigs, but we're thinking about playing at the zoo... *shrug*

That concert was freaking awesome.

Alright, so my buddy Gabe took two of his friends, Dom and Tony, to Mayhem Festival with me. It was soooooo hot when we first got there, but then, the clouds started to roll in.

Tony wanted to go see Five Finger Death Punch, so we had to walk all the way to where the second state was from the lawn area. The sun was still out, despite all of the clouds. So we though we'd be safe without bringing our raincoats. We thought wrong.

The second we got into our spot, it started to rain slightly. We still though it'd be okay, but once the sun hid behind the clouds, it went all downhill from there.

It started to pour. It was hailing and there was lightning and thunder right above us. We had to run through all of the people to get back to the lawn. And when we finally did, we were soaked.

The raincoats didn't even help much. We were completely wet, especially our ankles and feet. Our raincoats didn't protect them, so go figure.

But the rain didn't even last long. It was a cloudburst that only lasted like half an hour. After that, we took Gabe's little sister so we could all by T-shirts.

The line was massive. We completely missed Mastodon's set. Tony made a little girl cry with his stupidity, so Gabe's sister smacked him a couple of times.

When I finally got to the front of the line, some loser was like "Why do you keep helping the people in the middle? I want a T-shirt as well!" (He was way over in the corner.)

So, he threw a massive fit about it, cursing and swearing until security finally escorted him off the premesis.

I got the last medium sized shirt, the same one some fat Native American wanted. And as I walked back towards the grass area, he said under his breath, "Stupid white boy". I don't even know why he wanted a medium sized shirt; he wouldn't have fit in one anyway.

After I found my way through the massive crowd, thanks to the help of a couple of lesbians, I waited near the stairs to the entrance of the lawn area. And guess what? A fight broke out there.

Two drunks started fighting, but they didn't even hit each other. The only thing they struck was the floor. It was kind of funny.

When everyone came back, we went to go buy some food with our left over money. The total for the five of us was $58.

DragonForce was playing when we got back to our spot. They still sucked. DragonForce was horrible, as usual. They are seriously one of my least favorite bands ever. I'm surprised they didn't get booed off the stage like two years ago at OzzFest 06.

After they got off the stage, Disturbed came on. This was the second time I've seen them live, and they were pretty cool.

Then, Slipknot. They were amazing. If only they played "Spit it Out" or "Wait and Bleed"... or more songs from their new album.

While they were playing, there was a massive mosh pit behind us. We actually had to make a 7 foot jump off of the grass and onto the handicapped seating because it was getting way too violent. Lucky the security guard let us stay there for the rest of the concert. And I'm glad too. Some lady had to be taken away by the EMT because the was trampled in the pit...

Either way, it was pretty fun. I just can't wait for Coheed and Cambria on the 30th, and Linkin Park on August 6.

So, my band has four members. Our drummer, two guitarists (one rhythm, one lead), and me. The thing is, the rhythm guitarist has been vacationing in Mexico, and he hasn't been practicing with us. So, as a result, none of our songs have a rhythm guitar part.

So I was thinking of putting him on drums (everyone in my band plays drums, including me), our lead guitarist still playing guitar, and me on bass and vocals, as usual.

And if that doesn't work, I had one of my friend email her drummer of jazz band to see if he wanted to fill in.

But we'll see

I am now the lead singer and the bassist for Sylent Fear.

Our MySpace is still under construction, and we don't have anything to record with, but we already have a couple of gigs set up in July.

We're planning on using the money we earn to get a nice little iMac laptop, so we have something to record with (GarageBand) and to film/ edit with (iMovie).

We have some of our friends and family to pitch in, so hopefully you will hear some of our stuff online by the end of year (not promising anything though)

Now, yesterday was Sylent Fear's first practice with a bassist. Our guitarist is in Mexico vacationing with his family right now, but in two weeks he'll come back and we'll really start to jam.

We already wrote 4 songs, and we are currently learning 3 ("Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Enter Sandman" - Metallica, and an Avenged Sevenfold song I don't know the name of).

All the songs we have written are instrumental, but on Monday, our next practice, we are planning on writing some lyrics, which might be a problem, because I can't write good lyrics, and I'm not so sure about the other two either...

(I don't get it, I mean, I can write awesome poems, but I suck at writing lyrics... xD)

So yeah. =3
