THE GOLDEN COMPASS!!!

By now most of you have seen it, but I'm going to give my opinon on it anyways. All in all,

it sucked.

I mean, you have an amazing book and you have the oppurtunity to make something just as great with the movie, y'know, like best picture of the year sort of thing, and what do you do?

make a piece of crap.

I don't know if it was because I read the book, but it seemed like the storyline was moving a million miles an hour and not to mention, they left out all the details and depth that the book introduced. It felt like they cut up the book and took the events (which they screwed up btw) and lft out all explaination as to what's going on. That, and I don't particularly like the casting for it either. The guy they cast for Lord Asriel was not good. I mean, he did a pretty good job, but the one in the book is supposed to be terrifying and powerful, and this one was, like an average dude. Nothing scary about him at all. To sum it up, the story and dialouge were shallow and poorly done. The only good thing about it is the scenery and CGI were beautifully done. The designing for the buildings was mind blowing. And the daemons were cleverly animated and the fight scenes were phenominal! There was just one thing that really got my goat.

THEY CUT THEY F***ING MOVIE SHORT!!!!

It only covered two thirds of the book, and after all that other crap they don't give you the ending! They're clearly setting it up for a sequel, which will hopefully be better than the first. it was really just a half-baked, pathetic excuse for a movie. And they didn't explain what dust is, (because they cut it off right before we find out) so my friends were staring at the screen going "WTF is going on?"

Well, I hope National Treasure: Book of Secrets will be better 'cause I'm gonna see that next Friday.

There's one for the DS, which I've heard you can play as Axel, Roxas, Saix, or Xigbar. It's funny 'cause my sis said that it would be cool if you could play as Axel in one of the games and I said when pigs fly.

There's one for the PSP, y'know the one everyone's been talking about with Terra, Ven, and Aqua.

Then there's one for cellphones, which I don't give a rat's @$$ about.

To start things off, it's 90 degrees here,

and the school doesn't have air conditioning.

Whoopdeedoodledoo! So I have to wear a miniskirt just to stay cool. But instead I wore jeans and I sweat like a pig, so you do the math. And the gym isn't any better, in fact it's even WARMER! And guess what, 'cause it only gets better, I have my last period in there, AND an hour and a half volleyball practice in that same gym with 22 other girls. Who most of them are nutcases. I mean this is what happened at the first practice. We got like, seven girls all holding the same volleyball net. Then they start to charge at two stationary objects, known as poles, yelling "SPAAAAARRRRTTTTTTAAAAAA". Okay, maybe they didn't yell Sparta, but they were yelling, loudly. And most of the girls are beginners, like myself. Except, for that lovely fact that they can't aim. So I'm getting hit in the shoulder, the back, the head a few times, and every other imagineable place. And I think I have a bone bruise on my right arm from digging the balls out of the net. It hurts A LOT! Then I bent my finger the wrong way while I was picking up a srtay ball, so now I have a searing, BURNING, THROBBING pain that WILL NOT go AWAY!!! And it's affecting my l33t photoshop skillz! But besides the fact of volleyball, the classes are

BORING!!!

And the math is what I did last year, ah yes. The glourious Pre-Algebra. NOT!
There's nothing glorious about it, and here's the kicker. None of the girls in my grade like videogames, computers, or Organization XIII. So I just sit around and listen to the other girls talk about how they want a Coach and Gucci store in our mall. Yes dear readers, we are gonna get a Coach and Gucci store in our small lake community mall. Yeah, and maybe one day I'll wear a pink dress. DREAM ON LADIES!!! Is what I say to that. And the pizza lunch lady is a betch, but the taco one is nice. Yes, daily here at Southwestern: Home of the flying volleyballs, we have pizza and tacos everyday. And if that's not enough fat and grease for ya, we have a daily special! So you can get some more of that beautiful grease and fat that you might have missed out on eating the tacos and pizza. I mean, we literally have a Slush Puppy machine in our caffateria. And a coller for ice cream that students can access whenever they want. And the worst part is, that I miss and . You see, and I had every class together last year, so I would spew out comic ideas to her 24-7. And she would laugh until her sides split, sometimes. I only have a few good comic ideas, and a lot of crappy ones. But I hope this school year will turn out okay. But I'll never be able to replace my two best buds out in Cleveland. I mean, who on earth am I gonna stay up 'till 3 a.m during the summer. Huh? HUH? *sob*

5. Photoshop is the ENEMY!!! So I color using colored pencils only

6. I cannot draw big, I can only draw things small or medium sized

9. I suck at drawing male characters, so I only draw female (for the time being) Plus I can relate to girls better so their personalities have more depth

We are working on creating past lives for each one of the Organization XIII members. I know the first six were Ansem's apprentices, but we are doing it as if they never become his apprentices.
