And I have been proven - once again that DA never sleeps and never rests

I have been busy, very busy - Life catches up with you and the time, becomes very tight. Had to pass one of my exams and I did
- wooohooo, score 84% on my final exam

100 questions in 3hrs (yup I did it).
Celebrated my b-day twice

once the cheesecake with chocolate swirls

and this pass weekend turkey for our
canadian Thanksgiving !!!
Now I just have to go thru some ouuu 150deviations in my watch folder and answer all comments, notes and features

Lucky accident, I found apo download few days earlier and all the resources for that were on DA, so I figured..hmmm..art
website, lets see what it's all about.

-What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
My user name...is an effect of Me wanting something cool, and since I think we all have 'inner fires' burning inside us,
as artists I thought it was good allegory

-What is your current icon of?
My current icon is from my digital painting of myself and yes I have it on DA, I just animated it a bit

Quick update : busy, busy ...busy

Running late, sleeping in when I can, reading tons of homewerk and passing exams

That's why I often 'hit-fave and run', neverthless I love the faves I give, so this is
a huge group 'great art, thank you and welcome'

Also a quick update on the 'Nexus' art-rip. A lot of artists got the links and emailed
them along site with the link to the original deviation here on DA to the nexus site
moderators and the response was very positive and helpful. As I have been informed by
some of my friends the images got deleted and also the images got onto the 'list' of
'stolen/or ripped', so if anybody tries to upload them again they be recognized.
There was another idea suggested - if you want your artworks used as wallpapers / desktops
sign-up to the site yourself and have them rightfully displayed. I think =alexiuss and
*obeyyourmaster were going to do that.
Once more if you need to look at DesktopNexus >> [link] there is still some fractals I have
found posted and many fantasy, digital images.
If you gonna need to send an email to the site mods *AmorinaAshton generated very good
template just for that purpose >> [link]
How to protect yourself from having your art-ripped, honestly it's almost impossible, anything
what's posted on the net, web can be usually stolen. Even here on DA when you not allowing
the download of your artwork the right-click Save image still works

People watermark
your images - this way they less tempting !!!

will be uploaded shortly

. And as always log-in to DA to see what's going on and to complete my morning weekend ritual -
coffee+art. At first glance I figured wow...a lot of new comments, gotta be that News article about tiles I did last night, then I look
closer and I start reading some of the messages - 'Congrats on DD'

...hmmm...figured my friends are playing pranks

MY FIRST YEAR ON DA !!!
Hahaha.....well this is really the first journal, about Me

And the reason is - Sept 04 last year I joined DA and started posting my first very crude apo fractals. I think, before
I even got any details or skills my 'blurry' creations were really so much joy for Me.
My first fractals:

What did I got during this past one year:

I have way too many fractals ...lets see the huge number 1471 !!!

I have many great friends here on DA and not all of them make fractals

I use mainly two programs, which drive my computer 'crazy' - Apophysis and UltraFractal
(apo is the worse one of the two, average apo render takes 6-7hrs)

I have amazingly impressive collection of art in every single genre you can imagine
(ok I'm low on sonics and not into vulgarity in nudity section)

one year and I did scored 2 DD's

I participated in contests and also did few things for the community

new way improved version of Apophysis program.
And you have to get the download, the new Apo is simply outstanding !!!

What are you getting exactly, now let me try to list few more important improvements:

brand new graphic interface (new 'spanky' look for all buttons and backgrd)

you have a choice of previewing your flame file as a list of names or as a thumbnail display
(which is great, if you have many fractals with similar names, like I do)

when you loading a set of params and a plugin is missing you will get a message telling
you that you don't have 'xyz' plugin (which is pretty sweet)

in win7 you have an interactive minimized panel display with few main functions of apo

in the Render dialogue box - you have two graphics bars, one for memory usage (green
states things are Ok and you can proceed with render, yellow warns to check things and
red of course means, something is wrong), Your render progress and other features are
similar to previous version.

improved speed response, in your gradient window or in your adjustments the slider
bars work smoother and faster.

the speed, when you working in the editor is better as well.

the quality fractal display has bigger size options (for All of us who like to see a lot
of fine details before hitting render button).

Warning for using zoom function (this is for the newbees to the program..well mostly)

and another bonus

, which is sorta a secret right now, this is the first version
of Apo from =Xyrus02 and there will be more in the future !!!

Overall better and cleaner version and since it's based on *Zueuk 3Dhack you can use it for 2d works and 3d works.

Happy 9th DA

Welcome to my 'new idea' - HOME Cities, even if you were just born there and moved away or traveled
to another places. You 'home' town is always most likely to have a place in your heart!!

I think I'm gonna make this type of journal a mini-series and this way, we can all travel along and learn a bit about our friends.
Let Me do a little introduction of myself - I'm Iwona (read 'Evona') aka =Fiery-Fire, my original heritage is polish....even doe
I don't reside there anymore.
My home city is Warsaw - 'Warszawa', very old (about 800 years+), full of mystery, great historic buildings, parks...and many
places I used to hang out at

I could probably talk for hours about it, the best thing is to let the pictures speak for itself

It's a city, which never sleeps and also always fights for its existence, ahh Yes its the capitol of Poland !!!
The 'coat of arms' for Warsaw is a Siren (or a mermaid) holding a shield and a sword to protect the place she grew to love.
She became the symbol of the city and it's a part of the legend of how the town became to existence, here we go,
you can read it for yourself:
A long time ago, a prince from the Mazowsze Region took his men and
went hunting. In the forest, he saw a wild beast and was determined to
kill it. He was close enough to shoot at it the arrow from his bow, but as
he took his aim, the beast suddenly disappeared. Thoroughly surprised,
the prince decided to stop at the nearby river for a drink of water. As he
bent over to drink, he saw the mermaid.
The mermaid told the Prince to follow the arrow she shot from her bow.
The prince followed the arrow along the river's edge until he reached a
clearing. In the clearing he saw a run-down fishermanÂs cottage under a
large oak tree. He went to the cottage to ask for food. Inside, the Prince
saw a young woman sitting by the fireplace feeding her twin babies: a
boy and a girl. The young woman shared her food with the Prince.
After the meal, the Prince and the young woman sat in front of the
cottage and looked out at the river. The prince insisted that the young
woman name her baby son, Wars and her baby daughter, Sawa. He
told her to clear the land around the cottage and plant crops. He gave
this land to the young woman and her children. He knew that they
would work hard to make the land valuable and a village would result.
This village would become Warsaw.
As the young woman listened to the Prince, she saw the mermaid rise
from the river's waves. The mermaid said the village would grow into a
beautiful city because of the hard work of the simple fisherman who
chose to live there.

Presenting and making people hungry BBQ !!! what Ya having ? what Ya cooking?
and what's being served for cold drinks !!!
Since this is the season for it then why not, found some cool shots of choice cuts and even some
more fancy BBQ creations. Hope you like it, I didn't make this feature big ...since I have a feeling
that nobody will stick around for long, they will look at few pictures

and run out to fire-up
their own grills

And that was the main idea !!!
