well, with my christmas and birthday money i was able to buy a great new camera, its a Fujifilm S700 and its pretty great! im still learning how to get the most of it but i love having something to fool arround with.

more news soon, class starts in a bit methinks and books need to be bought.

my digital camera that i took the pictures for my profile's LCD screen is cracked. thus it is now limited to "guess and shoot" sort of pictures. which, while it has its use, it will never be the same.

It is a sad loss as it was a graduation gift from my grandparents. but i will still keep it because, well, thats just the kind of sentimental pack-rat that i am.

in other and much happier news i am now in a relationship with a lovely young music-education major named Enid Smith.

we met last Valentine's day but we only really got to know each other around the middle of october. we became "official" on the 5th of november, which i kinda think is neat. oh i shall remember, remember that 5th of november

she is smart, sarcastic, funny, and beautifully distracting. she and i's oddity fit together so well, it actually is really quite refreshing. her family is fun as well and from the small time i've spent with them i feel welcome in their home.

whatever will be will be

i need some art for my large empty walls and so i pose it to you my friends to do your best to provide me with said art

i've recently discovered a website called The Rasterbator that will convert most any image to a very large size using lots of dots of various sizes and thus you can piece together the pages to make a very large rendition of the picture. very cool looking.

the top two winners of this contest will have their art tastefully tacked to the walls of my apartment for at least one semester, maybe more! Thus their art will be given free advertisement and praise from all the visitors.

i will be uploading pictures of the various walls i will attach the images to very soon to help with any inspiration as well as a general layout of my apartment so you can request a specific place to put your work if you wish.

RULES OF THUMB:
1 ) it seems to work best if the image has a good deal of contrast to them but feel free to expirement with the website before you submit the final product to me.
2 ) since i will most likely have to print this out on my home printer and so i would prefer it not to be overly colorful or overly dark, [this is the same printer that i will be using for printing all my essays as well so i don't want to eat all the ink at once]

the deadline for this contest is still being determined but let me know if you are interested or not so i can have a general idea!

the good first,

my wonderful girlfriend has just returned from her adventure to her dream college, where she charmed everyone and i am sure won her way into a deserved spot among the school's new students. i am so happy for her and i am even more happy because that if she realy does end up there its only 400 and some odd miles away rather then 600 or 700,

i miss her alot,

and now onto bad.

an old friend's dad died last week, they realy dont know what happened and i dont know if i can make it to the wake on the 11th, we will have to see i suppose. he realy was a kind, sweet man, and i know that he is smiling down on his son now

the ugly,
the only sleep that i have had in the past 24 hours has been inbetween my classes, thankfully i staied relatively awake through them all, now all i need to do is draw a tree realisticly, heh, i am much better at free form from my mind type drawing

i think i will go for a walk, maybe take a few more pictures.

hmm, i wonder what they mean by no tresspassing?
