Fine Art Nudes - Future is doubtful, I think it may have sat to long prior to me taking over. Yes some of you have expressed interest, but 6 or 8 people are not enough and the time it is going to take to save it may not be worth it any longer.

Two weeks, I want to know who is truly wanting to see this group come back to life, knowing it is going to take a VERY BIG effort to do so.

I am a photographer myself and a very huge supporter of the human form as art, be it in a painting, a photograph, sculpture or any other medium.

I am looking forward to getting this group up and running at full speed again. I would love to hear from our members as well as our staff on any on going issues or concerns with the group, as well as any ideas you all may have to help improve or enhance the group, not just for it's members but for the viewers and watchers of this group.

Now the deviantART note system has been acting up for me and a few others, so please until we know this is fixed, try to keep any of your responses within this journal entry.

Question of the Day:
Who do you like in the Artistic Nude Community that is active, talented & respected?
That's the question being posed by ^firelite-photo (the current-but-not-for-long Artistic Nude Admin for dA) in his journal entry "Artistic Nude Recipe." Drop him a note if you watch any of the artists here on FineArtNudes on a regular basis and you would like to submit their names for whatever this super-secret project is he's working on.

We'll be trying to post here at least once a week on ~FineArtNudes, so as not to glut up your watchbox with too many deviations at once. We're also trying out some new templates (the images here on F.A.N. will be small, but the link should take you to full view) and you'll notice that ALL comments have been DISABLED.
Please, please, PLEASE go to the deviants page and fav there. If you have already faved an image here, do the artist a favor and go fav it on their page. I know I *really* prefer having people fav on my site, rather than trying to add numbers in my head to get my true number of favorites.

Since we've had lots of new additions to the club recently, I'd like to reiterate some of the submission guidelines to help expidite the process of getting your images posted. Since I am the co-admin in charge of selecting/rejecting images, the following are the criteria that I use:

    1) Please make sure that your image is a nude or implied nude, not a clothed fashion piece.

    2) Drawings, paintings, photographs and digital art are all acceptable mediums. Please make sure they are finished images, and not just 'sketches' or 'works in progress.'

    3) Please only submit ONE item per note (this aids in sorting images for acceptance/rejection) and only sumbit 1 or 2 images a week. The goal of this club is to highlight and recognize fine art, and to help people discover fine art artists on dA. It is not a secondary account for you to display everything you do.

    4) We understand that not every artist whose images appear on F.A.N. has an entire gallery of fine art. Yes, some of their other images may even border on porn. We here at ~FineArtNudes cannot be held responsible for content outside of this gallery.

    5) If you are unsure if a submission you have is right for this club, check out the gallery of already posted images. Try to envision your piece hanging in an art gallery or museum where children, nuns, and old ladies can see it. If you don't think it would fit in there, chances are it won't get displayed here.

    6) We do, however, encourage artists of all types to submit their work. You do not need to be a professional artist to have professional-quality work.

    7) Please respect the admin's desicions on acceptance/rejection. If you wish, you may appeal for a particular rejected deviation and all the admin will vote on it. Generally, though, desicions are final.

    8) You must be a member to submit art! Send us a note with the subject "Join" to become a member.

    I'm sure there's more, but those are the basics. I reserve the right to later edit this as I see fit ;)
