I've been finding myself quite busy lately, and I don't know if I like it or not. I miss having some free time on my hands to sit around and do nothing. Haha. I guess it's time to inform everyone about my (not so interesting) life.

Well, I started band this week. It's really strange, when you realize most of the people you looked up to and befriended have graduated and moved on to start their lives in the real world while you're still getting ready for marching season.

The crazy week is next week though, for sure. We have 9-5 practice every single day to learn our drill for halftime (ugh, it's sooo exhausting!), then Saturday, you know, the day when we're supposed to be able to catch up on our sleep and stay in bed until noon? We have to be at the high school at 5:30 AM to march in a huge parade >_< Then the next day? Another huge parade! There's no breaks. Really, there's not.

But quite honestly, I love marching band and my fellow band geeks, and I wouldn't give it (or them!) up for anything :D

I'm a trombone player, and it's really sad what's happened to our trombone section over the past two years. We went from 7 to 3 =/ We need some more people on trombone! It's a fun instrument to play! :D Like what other instrument can sound like a race car or a crashing airplane? :XD: I'll have to thank Mr. David Baker for teaching me those tricks :D Sadly, he's graduated now =/

We'll need to recruit some new T-Bone players, because one graduates this year, then Cassy and I only have our Junior and Senior year left :o

Man, I'm growing up fast! It's a little overwhelming, I guess. Have to start looking at colleges soon. I'm currently looking at either New York University or American Music and Drama Academy [AMDA] :D

I also realized that I can't put off reading for AP US History anymore, which upsets me =/ I've kept saying, "I have an entire month to read this boring book, I'll wait until tomorrow". Well, I'm quickly running out of tomorrows. I have a 4 page essay due this next Monday, and I'm on page 34. Out of over 440 pages. Guess I'll be speed reading during my very limited free time. AND I still have Huckleberry Finn to read for English, and I haven't even started that one.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I have dance after the 9-5 rehersals. Yay.

That's what I get for packing up my schedule, I guess.

I hate my life.

Wait, let me rephrase that. I hate my life right now. Coincidence? I think not. In fact, this is where my story begins.

I guess it would be safe to say that I’m not happy about being forced into a play. It’s not like I’m the most talented actor in the school, and even though that damn teacher, Mr. Silva, knows that very well, I still get handed the lead role in Romeo and Juliet. Guess what part I’m playing? Oh yeah. Juliet.

Maybe that’s why I’m so mad at this very moment.

It isn’t like I have any choice in the matter. Thing is, I’m failing English. Summer school definitely isn’t an option, so the teacher came up with another oh-so-bright idea. I have to be in the play, and I have to have a big part. And, just to spite me (I know he’s spiting me!), Silva gave me, Usui Horohoro, the part of Juliet. He told me that I look like a girl anyway, and there are no girls that actually want to be in the play, let alone be Juliet. I assure you, I do not look like a girl by the way.

Everyone disagreed, though.

Of course, the news that I’ll be playing a girl is spreading like wildfire. Seeing as this is high school, it’s very bad for my reputation. I mean, I’m going through puberty, for crying out loud! Doesn’t Silva know that puberty is the most important period in a man’s life?! I can only imagine what wearing a dress in front of my entire high school will do to me psychologically. Hell, I’ll be lucky if I don’t have to see a therapist for the rest of my life.

Then, of course, there’s also the fact that, if you aren’t popular, you’ll be laughed at for an eternity.

Well, at least until high school’s over. High school is all about popularity. It’s where you can become either a God or a total loser. There’s no gray area. It sounds cliché, I know, but it’s true. If you belong with the cheerleaders or the jocks, you’re considered a God, even if you aren’t the brightest of crayons. If you belong with the chess players, computer geeks, etcetera, then you’re a total loser. Wearing a dress when you’re a guy does not make you popular, just for the record.

Anyways, back to the problem at hand. My everlasting quest for popularity and the man who smashed that dream with one simple blow. In other words, that bastard Silva and his stupid play.

I’m quite curious as to who will be Romeo, to be honest. I hope he’s at least a bit hot. I mean, don’t get me wrong, but if I really do have to kiss a guy, it needs to be a handsome one.

Not that I’m gay.

Don’t get the wrong idea here. I’m very manly. I am, in fact, a very manly man. In fact, I’m the manliest man around Nobody can ever top my manliness. I love girls. In fact, I probably couldn’t even settle down with one hot girl, because I want so many of them.

Yeah. I’m just curious.

At least, that’s what I kept telling myself.

She's so selfish. I hate how she tries to act like it's okay to have both of them. She starts telling Jacob she loves him and everything, then leaves to marry Edward. She leads both of them on, then chooses Edward, which only hurts Jacob more in the end. He doesn't deserve to be hurt by this bitch >_<

To top it off it's really surprising that two guys that could have anyone they want would be throwing themselves at you, you personality-less, selfish, bitch. Even though I hate Edward more than I hate lima beans (ew), you don't deserve either of them.

Jacob Black is my absolute favorite character. He's the only one in the Twillight series with an actual personality and he isn't described as perfect. He's just your [not so] average guy. Edward is such a fake character. There is never and will never be a guy with that kind of personality.

We had a huge crowd when the Show Choir took the stage, which made me happy :D We didn't learn that whole dance routine for nothing! :XD: But I've made a decision. If my dream of performing on Broadway doesn't work out, I'm going to be Princess Jasmine in Disney World :D :heart: Hah, even though I'd be a pretty pale Jasmine, I'd really love to play the part.

Opening night is Friday, and I'm pumped :D

I'll tell you now and release the tension I'm holding so highly over everyone's heads right now. That is, if anyone's actually bothering to read this.

On Tuesday, January 6th, 2009, I, Sarah, will be going to the Playhouse Square in Cleveland to see...

RENT!

Two, count them, two original cast members will be in this performance. Both Anthony Rapp [the original Mark from Broadway and the movie] and Adam Pascal [the original Roger from Broadway and the movie] are doing a tour in nationwide productions of RENT, starting in CLEVELAND, OHIO! :D And I, a dedicated RENThead, will be there, not far from the stage.

I hope they sign autographs!

Before I get started, I just want to say that I had the first Iced Latte of my life from Dunkin Donuts yesterday. It was Carmel flavored, and completely amazing! :D

I seriously can't wait until school's out. It'll be a break well deserved :D The thought of not being a freshman anymore also makes me pretty happy :D

I'm going through my old clothes and things I don't use anymore to help get ready for a huge garage sale that my family's having. The plus side to that is I get all the money from the things that are mine :D

This summer, I'm doing something called the Ulster Project. It's where my family would be a host family to a girl from Northern Ireland. In all, 12 Irish teens come over and live with 12 American teens in my city for a month. There's a whole bunch of activites planned for the 24 of us to do together, such as amusement parks, rollerblading, go-karting, fireworks, etc It should be a lot of fun, and I'm totally looking forward to it :D

Then after the Ulster Project is marching band all over again :D I'm pretty excited about that too. New marching music, new drill, and most importantly, NEW UNIFORMS! :dance: Not the ones that look like a sea green instead of a brilliant blue and smell like they've been out in the rain a million times too long :XD:

This summer should be a memorable one :D

Well, I guess you could say that's my fault, because I did wear extremely high stilleto heels to school today, but I got them from Hot Topic and they're plaid, and I couldn't resist. It's like, I have to wear them because they're so freaking awesome, but then, my feet hurt like little bastards...my fault, yes, I'm aware :XD:

Anyways, back to the musical, opening night is in 2 weeks. Count them. 2 weeks! I'm really excited! Well, I'm not really excited about the whole dancing scenario...I was born with absolutely no rhythm :blush: I'm a lot better than I was when I started. And our outfits...well, in the beginning, they were hot pink. Nothing else. Just hot pink. After cringing for a few weeks, crying why me, we found out that our outfits are more of a crimson-y red [you know the word crimson-y is awesome :D] Yay! But the skirts are still undeniably short...

I've been listening to some Vic Mignogna music lately. He's pretty sweet :D I finally got the chance to download Brothers [FMA], True Light [DN Angel], and Nothing I Wouldn't Give [FMA]. Brothers makes me cry :( It's very sweet and poetic, beautifully written and sang :D

The best roles were played by none other than John Fox [[Jekyll and Hyde]] and Nina Shrekengost [[Lucy]]. They have AMAZING voices and they played their parts beautifully! When Lucy [[Nina]] was stabbed and thrown off the bed, it looked like she broke her neck!! But that's dedication, I guess :XD: She's amazing! D:D

And, at the end of the show, after the leads were done taking their bows, the entire cast stood on the sides of the stage and raised their hands as the curtain was pulled back to reveal a giant picture of our friend Alison dancing :D It was great :D We all love and miss her so much, I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house when everyone clapped and shouted 'Keep Dancing, Princess!' D:D It was amazing!

I think I might go see it again tonight D:D

But yeah...nothing really interesting's happened.

I'm home from school today because I'm sick as fuck. Actually, I like the fact that I'm sick [[you'll never hear me say that again!]]. NO BIOLOGY TEST!! :rofl: So yes, there IS an upside to puking your brains out :D :D :D

I've watched RENT 13 and a half times this weekend. Isn't that amazing? One would think I'd be sick of it by now...NOT! :D I love it! I made my dad [[who despises musicals like no other]] watch RENT with me last night, and he LOVED it! I was so surprised. He laughed his ass off all the way through Over the Moon and La Vie Bohem :D :D :D

Hmmm...what else did I do this weekend? Oh, I went to Jacob's with Chris, Emily, and Samantha and watched Knocked Up. It was H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!! I laughed my ass off! Literally! :rofl:

Yeah...I'm really bored right now. Actaully, I don't think I would've minded going to school [[um...NOT! :D]], so yeah, here's what my boredom turned into:

Why it's Better to be a Woman:
1) We got off Titanic first

1. I'm actually really shy. Even though I do theatre and get solos in choir, I get really nervous when I'm going to perform in front of people or meeting someone I've never talked to before.
2. My greatest fear is to have someone I trust betray me. It's happened too many times, and I don't want it to happen again.
3. I got 'lost' in my friend Paige's basement LOL, well, it wasn't really lost...let me explain: Paige and I were bored, so we went down in the basement to play a game and get a pop from the fridge. Well, apparently her grandpa didn't know where we were, and was looking everywhere for us. He'd even called my parents and the neighbors and they were walking around the area looking for us. When Paige and I went upstairs, her grandpa was like 'Where the hell have you two been? The FBI's looking for you!" He had the FBI outside looking for us, along with a few news crews from channels 5 and 8, reporting 2 missing persons reports. All we could say was 'We were in the basement!' That's how I got lost in the basement.
4. My older brother committed suicide in the backroom of our basement. To this day, I'm still scared to death to go back there. I haven't been back there for over 2 years.
5. I always have to have my fingernails painted. It bothers me when they aren't. Right now, they're really really deep red.
6. I hate almost all of the drawings that I do
