Well anyway, I got more toys than my kids received this month (yes, I collect figures) - finally evened out my Autobots vs Decepticon headcount to 15:15, but then added two more Autobots from the Transformers Prime series - Bumblebee and Arcee.  I finally found a plugsuit figure version of Ikari Shinji of Neon Genesis Evangelion, so that makes the plugsuits almost complete (with Mari still in school uniform version).

Hello, air!

I had an itsy bitsy operation done on my head last Friday. Doctor removed a benign tumor growing on the crown of my head. It's about an inch in diameter. That was my very first operation, seven stitches. They had to pull my scalp a bit to put it together, so I'm feeling a little tension on that area everytime I raise my eyebrows or something.  Other than that, I'm okay.

What I like about her work is they're like illustrations from children's books. Untarnished, rough, and fresh. I'm just sad that she had to take out all her works from her now empty gallery. Now I can't even show you how awesome an artist she is.

The whole metro was flooded. Had to stay at work for 33 hours to watch over a knee-deep flooded store filled with more than a hundred stranded people.  All I could do was give them shelter for the night and some bread.

I'm home finally. I can't touch any drawing tool today. I just want to rest.

The aftermath was much worse. Like the 9/11 terrorism, it left the country in sorrow, mourning for the lost lives and hopes that were broken to pieces. I could not bear seeing it on the news, even on facebook.

I bought an Intuos3 to get serious on digital coloring.  Nothing wrong with black and white, nothing at all. Just expanding.

So what am I doing on my day off, sitting in front of the computer, the Intuos waiting on the side, saying, "Why the hell did you buy me if I'm just gonna sit my ass on top of your freakin' scanner?", all peace and quiet around the house?

I picked up my preordered Wacom Intuos3 today. (Intuos4 is more expensive) It's an A5 (6x8) size.

I'm so happy :D

I watched two anime based Holliwood movies on DVD this weekend - Blood: The Last Vampire and Dragonball Evolution.

I was damn anxious to see the live action Blood and check if Gianna pulled the role of Saya off, but damn, everything was so wrong about the film.

I've been so damn busy this week. It feels so endless! Well the news is I can't get a decent long vacation leave from my work because there's so much responsibility in my position that I just can't leave hanging and not worry about it. But the good news is after tomorrow, I'll be away from work for six days, so I guess I can make something happen.

Baaaaaad news: My PC won't work! I mean, THE PC where all my artworks are saved! I'm suspecting there's a problem in the power supply because all the fans inside are not running. It's my first day off work this week. I have finally filed for vacation leave, ten days to be exact. Ahhh...

I feel so sad for the performance of Blood: The Last Vampire in the box office. Word is it was a flop. :( I was eager to watch it on the big screen here but it suddenly disappeared, especially with the showing of Transformers. I guess I'll have to wait for it on DVD. I wonder what went wrong?

I had a simple and relaxed birthday yesterday.  Went to the mall with my wife and two daughters.  I let them stroll around while I had my driver's license renewed before we went to a Chinese restaurant for lunch (the fish was awesome!).

The strolling wouldn't be complete without the kids going to the toy store to look around. The store had a big sale on Transformers figures, so I bought myself a Premium Series Optimus Prime, which was so fairly cheap (like 67% price off?).
