Dear Readers, I had just started my new quarter of school today, and as always we have to introduce ourselves to the class/classmates with our names, year, and of course; major. Now, this is something that normal students wouldn't think much of it, and some I'm sure are quite proud of their majors. But for me, the thought of announcing MY major can be a little nerve wracking.

As hopefully you all know, my major is in Japanese, and later maybe I'll get back into some art, but to announce my major as Japanese, I usually get the same treatment.

"Oh, my major is Japanese." I would say.

Instantly, the person would respond in the same way as 90% of the people I've introduced myself would. "Oh. Really?", and usually in a very low, and negative sounding tone. Then their eyes would look at me, my green pencil case with some Japanese characters with a white frog and then gaze at my random doodles. I can tell with the look in their eyes they are thinking: Shes one of those people, an anime nerd, a wapanese, a weeaboo. They would then say something like: "That's pretty cool." of course, not in a very nice sound either.

"Someone who is obsessed with Japan/Japanese Culture/Anime, etc. and attempts to act as if they were Japanese, even though they're far from it. They use Japanese words but usually end up pronouncing them wrong and sounding like total a**holes. You can find alot of these f***ts clogging up the forums of Gaia Online, hanging out in the international aisle of the supermarket, or crowding the manga section of your local bookstore. First off, I would like to clarify a few things. I am NOT obsessed with anime. I watch RAW anime to better understand usage of Japanese. I watch it to improve my Japanese, and look up words I don't know often. I read manga to improve my art style. That's it! If I was obsessed with something, it would be Rock Band and eating strawberries. :3 Next, I am pretty sure I don't act Japanese. I'm too stupid to be Japanese, and certainly don't have the skills to be Japanese. I DO NOT use Japanese words in my sentences, and when I went to Japan in 2006, I was told by a native Japanese friend that my pronunciation was very, very clear.

“Wapanese” are decidedly caucasian individuals who, by means of thoroughly warped postmodern acculturation processes, have come to the decision that it is in their best interest to act as if they were denizens of the nation of Japan. 1. Has an unhealthy obsession with shallow, saccharine and intellectually insulting animation shows (also referred to as anime by the nerd elite) originally tailored for young Japanese children

4. Has a sword (samurai swords only, of course) collection
5. Is a Virgin
6. May be afflicted with a terminal case of yellow fever; however, they constantly fail in their quest for Japanese pootytang
7. Extreme cases may traipse around whilst wearing a “costume” that makes them resemble their favorite anime characters (this practice is referred to as cosplay; cross-dressing and raging homosexuality is not an uncommon component of cosplay.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hello Everyone! Xmas is coming, and I wanted to know what people wanted me to draw for my big detailed picture for Xmas! Due to time restraint(pictures for people in real life and Gaia) and present shopping, it would most likely be in Black and White like my 2500+ picture, but I'm open for all suggestions! ;D

Otherwise, my friend Sara showed me a journal template thing for my journals till I get the hang of the codework, how does everyone like it? I plan on changing the colors to a more blue color later..

In the meantime, still working on art for Fanime 2009 next year, but I'm running out of things to draw..I know I need to draw some Naruto stuff..(two buttons and a Sasuke pic are completed) some FF7 + 8 chibis, some bleach stuff..etc. But I would love to hear more input on what you buy at conventions! ;D

OH. And I almost forgot. I went to go laugh at the Twilight movie with my friend Torenchi-koto! LAWL. That movie was horrible. OMG. I cant believe I sat through the whole thing(but we were giggling and making comments throughout the movie, so it was funny) The movie was:

97% Awkward
1% SPECIAL BELLA
1% EMO/DRAMA LLAMA EDWARD
and 1% LAWL FAIL.

But hey! I must be optimistic right? I admit I liked the soundtrack(Dramatic sounding) and the scene where they were at the top of the incredibly tall forest tree overlooking the lake..that was pretty awesome. But yeah. Otherwise than that, I rate it a 2. A two because it was funny to comment on lots of things in the movie with Trench,(If we went opening night we would have been killed.)) and laughing every time Bella did a double, triple, quadruple, etc blink every time she said something. (Which was A-LOT.)
