I hate GIMP. It has too much double clicking for my liking and that X11 thing that you have to run with it on a Mac is stupid. So I'm waiting around for this > [link] , a pretty cool looking comparison to Paint.NET except for one thing: it costs $50. So I'm waiting around for the third installment of MacHeist ( [link] ) where I can get that, and about 7 other pieces of expensive software for just $50.

So, what this means for my watchers:

I'll probably make a really minimalistic winter or holiday themed wallpaper on my PC, but in January is when more deviations will be rolling around

Okay, so my files have been transferred. Yeah, I went to the Apple Store and expected to have my files moved really fast, like, they just hook it up via firewire and let me do it myself. Just like this commercial explains: [link]

Well, they completely lied.

THEY EXPECTED ME TO LET THEM KEEP BOTH COMPUTERS FOR TWO DAYS. The genius basically said "Yeah, just fill out this like six page form, leave the computers here, wait 24-48 hours, and we'll call you." And maybe I'm paranoid, but that pretty much means they'll be rooting through my files and probably looking at each and every one of them and chuckling at the geekiness. Screw that.

So after a day of frustrating myself, I figured out how to network the computers (My PC is a dinosaur. Even the Geek Squad can't help me with any bit of it.). I had to go turn of the fire-walls, password protect my account, run IPCONFIG on command prompt, and find the PC in finder. Oh, and if you try connecting 'em yourself, don't even bother calling AppleCare. When it comes to anything related to Windows, AppleCare agents are like complete retards.

So I had to experiment with it myself, and after nearly two hours, my 10 Gigabytes of documents were transferred over my wireless network.

So now that my documents are moved, I need to learn GIMP. That could take a while...

I'm really close to getting it, so I'm excited. Unfortunately, this means some bad news for my watchers and my gallery. Paint.NET won't normally run on a Mac, so I would have to buy a Windows XP Pack for Apple's bootcamp. However, I'm also planning to buy Adobe Web Standard with Photoshop for Mac. But of course, there's that steep learning curve, so it could take a while. But I'll still have access to my old PC for those quick little projects. I'll be sure to post pics when I get it.

But I'm still a ways from having all the money for it, so don't expect the absence to happen too soon.

And the first of those two things is a BMW emote, now available on thezikes.com and is compatible with the custom emote script. To use it, all you have to type is
:BMW:
in chat. It's not important because I was lazy and just stole it from my BMW logo deviation.
The second of the two things is a giant page of doodles. It's got hints about future projects and just some random things I drew which I'm sure nobody's interested in, but I posted it anyway. You can find it in my scraps. Enjoy.
And let's end with some personal stuff... hmmm... I've been hanging out on dAmn a lot more lately, I usually chat from like 8:30 to 10:00 or so, my time, US Eastern. I started a chatroom, called #TheBMWLounge And something else... I went to see Iron Man a while back. I expect it'll turn out to be the best movie this summer. Gotta go see Indiana Jones though.
I Steven Speilburg + George Lucas.

In closing, I'm expecting to do some new, fantastic work soon, I'm just to lazy to do it now. Expect a new journal entry soon declaring the posting of some less-rough sketches of my ambitious project!

Wow... Where to begin... I haven't updated in a while, and I have no clue as to why. But anyway, I've submitted a bit of work and was a little more active in the dA community since the last journal update. And I forgot to do an Easter journal. Crapface. Anywho, I submitted three deviations since my last journal update:

1st- A poster (first print) that says "Procrastinate and DIE!". I'm not very proud of it, I suppose I made it for myself to stop that terrible habit of mine. However, threatening myself isn't working out for obvious reasons. > [link]

2nd- A deviantID! Finally! I wasn't sure what to put on it, so I guess I didn't do it for a while. But anyway, it looks pretty neat. And if I did a deviantID, it was inevitable that I would update the whole page anyway, which I did. It gives a bit more info about me. Enjoy. > [link]

3rd- An expirimental graphic gone totally awesome. I turned a cloudy background into a sweet AC/DC tribute. Maybe I'll do a few more of those... > [link]

4th- Lastly, I wised up and put thank you comments on the pages of everyone who favorites my work. In the comment, I link to this originally hand drawn "Thank You" image.
I'm glad I finally joined deviantART. I dunno what's been holding me back... maybe it's the fact that the user name I wanted was taken (oh noes!!1 ) by some person in Singapore who has no deviations or anything, and hasn't been online for over 160 weeks... But enough about that...

I am officially out of worthy deviations in my documents, but I'm planning a pretty cool one with warped photography.
