(HOW MANY PEOPLE FORGOT ABOUT ME? XD)

I'm back from my extremely long Summer hiatus! Hope everyone's doing okay!

Like I said in my previous journal, I've gotten myself a new dA account under the name of Pirakeet:

I'll be re-adding my buddies to my watch list etc. over the next few days, so if you see the name "Pirakeet" in your inbox, it's me!

It's completely bare at the moment mind, but I'll start uploading things asap ^^

I'll only be uploading photography for a while, since my desktop computer, known affectionately as Captain Fag, has decided to die on me... and he's taken all my digital art with him.

I'll also be sifting through the mountain of deviations and messages that have built up in my absence, but commenting and such shall be done via my new account. I won't ignore anyone!

Just letting you all know I'm taking a break from dA for a while. It's nothing bad, don't worry. I just have a lot going on atm. Please don't feel offended if I don't reply to comments or comment on your deviations / journals!

I'll be back around September time with a new dA account. I've been meaning to get a new one for a while for a fresh start and a username change.

I'll update this journal when I come back with my new account name so you all know who I am ^.^

So long as it's well kept and clean, I really don't mind. Interesting styles tend to catch my eye though... and ponytails...

Oh My Gosh.

That last entry made me sound like some sort of drama llama. I apologise to all those who read it.

Turns out they do have computers at BRS so I won't be leaving da after all. Hurr.

I woke up to a bouqet of Roses O.O

Life hasn't been treating me too well lately, everything seems to be falling apart around me all at once; so they were a nice surprise X3

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's noticing a few glitches on dA?

The worst one is when I click on my folders in my 'Favourites', I can't see any of the deviations I've put in them. My own Gallery folders work fine. Bah. Anyone else had the same glitch?

Which, once you've clicked on them; gives the dumbass hacker your login info and password to your dA account. (It logs you out and takes you to the main page. Once you log back in... the tard steals your info)

If you do click one of the dodgy links by mistake, change your password ASAP.

Apparently they come from "blogspot.com"

If you get one on your page or artwork, make sure you hide the comment so the buttmuffin who's sitting laughing their ass off can't hack into anymore accounts.

8 things about me:

I'm not a girly girl, but I love the colour pink and I have never understood why some people have a problem with it. It's a nice colour!

I'm UBER clumsy. I have a habit of running into things, tripping over, dropping things and occasionally breaking stuff. Just the other day I ran into a post and got a nice bruise on my hip... and I got myself caught on the electric fencing used for the horses... and snapped it XD

I love Banana flavoured stuff but I can't stand Bananas... they're icky.

I HATE snoring with an undying passion. If I'm trying to sleep and someone's snoring... I go crazy. While on holiday with friends or while they're sleeping at mine/ I'm sleeping at theirs; I've been known to get up and sleep on the couch/somewhere out of earshot to escape the snoring. Last time we went on holiday to Paris, I took it to the extreme of throwing a full water bottle from the top bunk (where I was sleeping) to the bottom... hitting my one of buddies smack on the head before swiftly covering my head with the covers >XD

I love making people laugh. I'm a complete dork and a joker... and my comical side gets me looked down upon a lot by my parents, but meh... I don't care. It's nice when someone tells you you're really fun to be around and that you can make people feel better :3

I love my music. My iPod's like... fixed to me. I'm one of those people that randomly bursts into song and dances when she feels like it 8D
I used to sing properly when I was little, in competitions and stuff... but I fear too much for the double glazing to take it seriously now XD

I love horses! Like anyone that knows me doesn't know that one XD They're the one thing that's guaranteed to make me feel better. I walked up the field to see one of the ponies (Duke) this morning, gave him a few apples and carrots; and as soon as I started to make my way back to the stables, he started following me. I glanced over my shoulder and shouted "c'mon then boy!" and started running... and he ran at my side all the way into the stables. He could've outrun me if he'd wanted to, but he didn't :3 They're amazing animals and I honestly don't know where I'd be without them.

When I was a little kid, I used to be terrified of E.T. I always used to think he was going to get me when I went to sleep XD

_{Ok first off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope you guys had fun over Christmas! I know I did :3

Santa brought me a spiffy iPod Touch, a new Phone (I kept dropping my old one... he's been in a few puddles since I got him) and some money so I'm not as broke as before lulz.

I've been really busy over Christmas. It hasn't been like... a traditional Christmas. I've been working my butt off looking after an entire stables for a friend every day over the holidays (including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because I'm crazy)... which is a hard work in the cold. Everything freezes. Pipes freeze which means there's no water (thus, I learned empty Coke bottles come in handy XD), the grass freezes, which ended up with me filling heavy haynets and hauling them out into the field; slipping and sliding all over the place like a tard on the ice.

So yes, I am very devoted to my horses XD

Anyway, it's a new year, which means new year's resolutions! Any of you guys made them? I wana know if you have! I don't normally... but this year, for the first time ever; I have made myself a NYR:

Stop swearing.

Seriously, a couple of weeks ago, we (me and and my buddies) got into a discussion about 'who does this the most' and 'who does that most'. When it came down to "Who swears the most?" I swear (pun not intended XD), they all said my name at the exact same time.

My response: "WTF?! I do not!" XD

Wow.

Then it hit home. It's so bad now, honestly, I don't even know when I'm doing it! So... I'm getting myself a swearbox! LMAO. It's going everywhere with me (cept the bathroom. Eww.) Every time I swear, money goes in that box; and the total amount will be sent to Horses In Need at the end of the year. There's been a lot of people saying that HIN will be rich come Christmas XD

A friend of mine is thinking about selling her horse this year; and she was asking me and mum is she knew anyone that wanted him. I was stood there practically jumping up and down and waving my arms. He's an awesome horse with an amazing character; and if I could afford him there's a really good chance I could compete with him - something I've never really got the chance to do. I'm like the girl who could only sit at the sidelines and sigh at a lost cause XD Most of all though, I'd hate to lose him. I've got used to him being here and it'll suck if he has to go.
Money's ever more important to me now. I MUST NOT SWEAR. You guys can catch me out too. If I swear in a comment or something, PWN my ass for it XD

Sooo... there's my resolution for you!

2009's already got off to a weird start for me XD

I think I've got problems. I drank White Wine at Christmas and I actually liked it... and every time I see the word "Photography" I read it as "Pornography". O_o

Anyway, I'm getting off topic...

This guy was being a tard to my sister after she'd had an argument with his younger sister... so me being the big sis that I am, I stepped in and said my piece. I told him he was a jerk and that he needs to grow up. He's 17 and my sister's 11. THEN HE started on ME. "Don't get on my bad side, I've got a mean punch... I broke my brother's hand and toe!"

Ooh. Scared.

Thing is... this guy is literally just over 4ft tall. It's nothing medical or anything, his family's just really... short. When he talked about fighting me, I honest to goodness looked him up and down and laughed out loud.

Dude. I feel so bad XD

Art
Artwise, I think I'm getting a little more comfortable with a certain style that I've been testing out. The style I use for my Orcas doesn't really... work for me. I don't enjoy painting in that style either. A lot of my artwork will be of equines from now on. They're what I like drawing best and I just think that with Art, you shouldn't feel pressurised to get it done. You should enjoy it... and I think that's when it turns out best. Well, for me it does anyway. Not that I'm quitting Cetacean art! I'll never do that.
I'm going to try more traditional style art too. I sold some art over Christmas locally that was traditional. Realism portraits of people in Graphite; which I HATE doing. Anyway, they were happy so it's all good ^^

Oh yeah, one more thing, I'm making a to do list to help me with my procrastinating. If I owe you something, click the link to my to do list and check it's there. I'll get it done, don't worry ^^

OH MAI I had to go to SCHOOL yesterday. It was SO weird being back there. I had to go get a reference for college from a teacher who hates me with a passion... who didn't turn up.
I ended up speaking to her secretary who said

Hai Gaiz!

Hope you're all doing well! ^w^

Old journal was old so I decided to update.

First: Zoo Stuff. Because I said I'd tell people about my job at the zoo. I'l try and keep it short, but I talk WAY too much so this journal will probably end up being pages long XD

Zoo's cool! It's a lot of hard work; and leaves you shattered at the end of the day, but the animals are awesome. Well, most of them XD

A few journals back I told you guys about my fear of Emus. That fear has now been upgraded to a fear of big birds in general. Oh boy. It was just my luck that my very first job was with the Cranes ([link]). Seriously, I've never hauled ass out of a room so fast in my life XD They run at you flapping their wings in your face like there's no tomorrow in an attempt to scare the shit out of you. Which worked XD They're also kept in the same aviary as this freaky Ibis ([link]) that pecks your ankles if you walk within its personal space barrier - the whole cage XD

BUT it's not all creepy birds. I've worked with smaller primates (Mostly Spider Monkeys, which are adorable: [link] and Tamarins: [link]) and the reptiles. I held a Snake for the first time the other day ([link]) (Yes, I am one of the few gals in the world that loves Snakes XD); and I was with the Meerkats today :3
Said Meerkats are little Buggers. I'd just finished cleaning the wondows to their enclosure; and one of them tottered right up to the glass, pushed his dirty little paws up against it... and toddled off - leaving a lovely pair of pawprints on my nice clean windows XD

Unfortunately though, I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up. With Christmas fast approaching; and money problems appearing left, right and centre; I'm forced to look for a second job with better rates of pay - otherwise I'll be pretty much broke by the time College rolls around XD

Artwise, I've been very Equine inspired. There hasn't been much Orca or general Cetacean art from me lately; and I apologise for that. It will be back! I've just been bitten in the butt by my Equine muse since I've been back riding again. I still love my Cetaceans dearly! :3

I've also said that I'll be doing some art for some people, so that should be up soon if I owe you anything. I'm working a lot on my art on my days off ^^

Okay... I just tried to upadate this thing and the internetz decided to have a spaz attack on me... so I had to re-write it -_-

I'm back horse riding again!

He's only a little ankle biter at 14hh but he's absolutely gorgeous :3

I went out for a ride for the first time in months this morning; and we went for a flat out canter (not quite a gallop) on the country roads.
There were tears flying out of my eyes because of the speed and the cold.

So I'll be riding a few days a week if things go according to plan.

I start my job at the zoo next week too. O_o
I just hope they don't get me to go anywhere near those freaking Emus. Lizards, Snakes... any other creature I can handle. Just not Emus. I'm a bit shaky with Tarantulas too. Spiders should NOT be allowed to get that big.

Then there's the Gym and Swimming in the evenings XD ...

Artwise, I have LOADS of sketches waiting to be Photoshopped... I just don't have the time to finish them at the minute.
I'm being commissioned in RL which leaves me little time to spend on my own artwork that I want to do. >.<

Yeah... I'm going to be a little busy XD

I got a job at the zoo! ^^

I start the first week of November!
Even better news is that the woman who offered me the job has worked with Orcas and Dolphins before... and she's offered to put me in touch with a friend of hers that trains animals for film/TV... O_o

Wow.

However...
Since it's only a part-time job, I need to get myself a second job to afford my car ... *headdesk*

I hate money.

It's been a while since I updated my little journal. It's collecting dust. Ick.

Anyway...

I TOTALLY GOT MYSELF AN INTERVIEW AT THE ZOO 8D

You don't know how unbelieveably happy I am!

My ticker's going like crazy ... it nearly exploded when I opened my inbox.

Now I just have to get through said interview. O_o

I love how, in interviews; they always ask that question >>>

"Where do you see yourself in 10 years?"

HOW am I supposed to know where I'll be in 10 years? That is called foresight dears. Not many people are granted such a gift.

I do not want them to ask me that question. Because I sit there thinking... dude, I don't know...

I'm also hoping they don't ask me to work with Emus. I am terrified of Emus _{and turkeys}. They're like, giant evil chickens on steroids... and they make the creepiest sound ever. It's like the jaws theme but worse. *shudders*

Any other animal I'm cool with. Emus_{and turkeys}... just no.

I just got back from having a tooth out at the dentist ;A;
3 Injections. Because my mouth refuses to go numb. *headdesk*

In other news. Oh sugar honey iced tea...

I'm starting horse riding again after a year's break...
As I said in my previous journal, I'm totally wound up about choosing my career path.
Well...
I'm a horse person... always have been.
I've been thinking that I should accept what I've got and who I am instead of trying to be someone I'm not.
The hard thing about becoming a marine mammal trainer for me is that I'd have to move countries... and leaving my family and my horses behind would crush me. It's so much harder for people who live in the UK. NOT THAT I'VE GIVEN UP! I'm just exploring my options ^^

So... I was looking back into equine careers. I've always been interested in stunt horse riding and horse training; so I looked into it a bit more...
and I got the contact details for a movie horse training establishment - The same place where they trained the horses from Van Helsing!

Nothing's for certain yet though. I'm on a sliding scale as far as careers are concerned. I change my mind every five minutes XD

So my parents got back from the city today... and they brought these little guys home with them:

Aren't they cute?! They're so small that they both fit in the palm of my hand! :3 The Guinea Pig's mine and the Bunny belongs to the sister. I really don't know what to call her though!

Other Stuff...

I might be getting a job in the local vets or zoo soon if things go according to plan (pfft. Yeah, like that ever happens).
Anyway, I've been getting on with my application for college next year. I'm going to be studying 'Animal Behaviour and Welfare' since I'm still pretty set on the idea of becoming a marine mammal trainer. However, I'm really sad about leaving my life with horses behind. (I was going to go into a career with horses) It feels like I'm torn two ways. It's so hard deciding on what you want to do with the rest of your life. I suppose to move forward and achieve your goals, you have to leave some things behind. Wow. I sound like the voice of reason XD

Driving's going well. Apparently I'll be able to take my test soon O_o

I'm starting my swimming regime in a few weeks too. I'm booking a coach and everything... I'm going to be so broke. *headdesk*

Anyway, as you can see, I'm going to be really busy ... so artwork submissions and updates will be as and when I can do anything... and when inspiration strikes me. My muse has gone on holiday or something.

Summer's over. Already. _{and Britain has had no Sun at all ;A;}

Everyone's back to being busy again... including me. I have a lot to do in life now.

As well as a job, I'm going to be juggling a swimming regime, driving lessons and possibly some work experience. It's going to be a LONG year before college *sigh*

Man, I miss school. *headdesk*

This is a really pointless update... so I did another tag to take up some space ^^

Oh yeah... I have artblock. Hardcore artblock. Like, I can't draw at the minute. My inspiration packed its bags and went on vacation... or jumped out the window O_o _{and I don't have any pencils to draw with XD}

I have artblock for one thing. It sucks. I hate absolutely anything I draw. I still cringe when I look through my gallery. One day I hope I can look through it without cringey feelings taking over XD

I'm trying to make some important decisions on my career too. It's hard having to decide on what you want to do for the rest of your life...
I'm torn between two; one of which involves a LOT of money and work... and moving to a different country. It's one of those careers that you dream of as a little kid but you never think of pursuing it as a career for real ya know?

Artwise...

I'm refraining from submitting for a while. I'm trying to improve... so I'm trying out a more painter-style colouring method in addition to my usual style.
*Susa-the-insane is kindly going to crit as I work on it.
Possible submissions will probably consist of KH fanart which I've wanted to do for ages but never got round to actually doing it...

In other news... my whole year group's having a "mass campout" again... Anyone else do this? Seriously... normal people just have a prom/party and that's that
Lulz something else I have to add to my little schedule of exams, driving lessons, artzy stuffs and whatever else I have to do XD
It is fun though...
Basically... everyone... well, all 150 of us go find a field and set up camp, with the majority getting extremely drunk out of their minds. (Not me kids, I'm a good girl. I only get tipsy. Getting wasted isn't worth it in my opinion XD)
Sounds simple enough right? That is, until an angry farmer finds out he's got a load of derranged teens camping on his land. Then it gets icky. Anyone ever tried hauling ass outta a field, trying to collect all the camp equipment and drag along your drunkard friends at the same time?! All the while a fuming farmer's charging down a hill with at least 2 crazy gard dogs and a huge ass gun yelling

"Get Auffa My Laaaand!"

It's hilarious until he pulls out the gun and the dogs appear... XD

I tell you, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt

Writing a CV is harder than I thought. *sigh* I'm either trying to get into the local vets or into a racing stables that's in the next town.

On another note... if you haven't already, go see Indiana Jones. It can't beat the classics BUT it's still epic awesomeness... cept maybe for Steven Spielberg's love of aliens... sheesh!

So I just got home from my last day of school... ever.
Wow.
It feels so weird... kinda hits home that you're not a kid anymore...
We had a load of people telling us today that
"Today is the first day of the rest of your lives"
Yeah... thanks for that. You succeeded in scaring the living crap outta us all.
It's actually quite scary...
What's even more scary is that most of the people that I've spent my school life with... that I've known for at least 7 years or more and seen practically every day ... I might never see again cuz they're all going off to University or even different countries...
They even gave us a theme song...
"Good Riddance" by Greenday. Yup... that plus the photos they took over the past year in a music video didn't help the emotional people... XD

So... I'm aiming to become an Equine Massage Therapist, or go into the Horse Racing Industry as an alternative. Before I can do that though... I need to earn enough money to pay for the friggen courses - which means getting a decent job to last me until next year at least. *dun dun duuuun!!!*
I hate money... it sucks... causes so many problems unless you're lucky and have plenty of it...

I've also got a prom coming up in 2 weeks... which means yet MOAR money... dress, shoes, hair, limousine...

I am SO doomed...

Anyway... now I have loads more free time to practice my artwork... and revise for my finals... Gods I hate exams... They're more boring than anything else...

It's the dreaded exam term, so submissions will be scarce. I've got nine exams to do in the course of a few weeks, which means I have to revise my ass off (or try to anyway in my case, Revision = Mass Boredom).

Never mind, only 4 1/2 weeks and I'll have finished school forever! *le gasp*

Sadly I'm not going to be posting much again...
I have SO much work to do it's insane, with my finals coming up and all.

Which means all non-school related stuff is put aside, including my artwork

I'm also a teeny bit grounded because of a bad parent's night report
Apparently I'm a "disruptive member of the class" and I "distract others from learning" - in the beautiful words of my teachers

I can't help it, I like making people laugh!
School has to be brightened up some how. I can't just sit there in silence and work. I seriously have the attention span of a goldfish

I can honsetly say I'd much rather be doing artwork - I need the practice!

Anyway, just letting people know I'm not dead, I'm just a bit pre-occupied. I'll submit stuff when I have the time to...
