Because of the new remasters that have come out and the new Rock Band game *which is AMAZING, by the way*, I've been listening to them nonstop lately.

The remasters are ear candy but I'm buying them one by one, I can't afford the boxset.

My favorite right now is Rubber Soul. It brings back memories when I was a kid, when I wasn't living in America. My dad used to play Rubber Soul when he had it on vinyl for a couple of years, but all of his records were destroyed because of a flood. xD

Well anyway, I grew up with The Beatles. My parents have a home video of myself when I was 3-4, watching A Hard Day's Night and Help! on tv, in my underwear, dancing along and singing. They said they used The Beatles to keep myself behaved since I get quiet and sit myself down whenever they're on.

To be honest, when I rewatched clips of Help! on youtube again for the first time since, I cried a little.

I didn't bother clicking the site (Because I hate the man who's behind it) and did the research on my own.

I thought it was just one of those little tabloid articles so I didn't think much of it. But it is indeed true, they've split.

I'm a little unaffected, really. I haven't been thinking much of it.
Now don't get me wrong, Oasis are my favorite band, EVER. But it's weird, I feel neutral about it. Maybe because I think they've already reached their peak and the word that can best describe them is "tired". But this is just awful news. It's best that they've stopped now instead of later when it may get uglier.

I understand why Noel left though. I wouldn't stand somebody I despise, let alone my brother, be in the same room as me.

I've felt more loss when Blur split because I knew they still had something in them and Damon and Graham's relationship can be mended (As seen in the Hyde Park gigs).

I have a feeling they will come back, but if they don't, it's for the best.
I'm sure there will be a Noel album, based on those videos during soundcheck. He wouldn't let songs like Record Machine go to waste.

I hated Oasis with a passion. I loved Blur before them and when I read about what they've said about them, I hated them. I hated them even more when they slagged off Franz Ferdinand, even though I listened to Oasis for a while now.
I thought they were a pair of ugly little fuckers, especially the one on the left (It was Liam). LOL.

But obviously, my thoughts have changed. They're charming, if they have the right hair. Those sideburns were uhhhh...

But then I realized it was stupid to judge a band based on what they've said and not their music, so I gave them a chance.


Onto lists:

-Oasis made me further my guitar playing. It was actually Franz Ferdinand that made me pick up the guitar, but it was Oasis that made me take it more seriously.
-Noel is the only person from music that I love listening to. He makes sense, he's witty, and he's funny.
-This is going to sound bias but I hate listening to Liam. He can be a complete idiot sometimes it makes me cringe. His old attitude never won me over.
-Gem, Zak (Sex Turkey), Andy - my favorite lineup
-Oasis songs have been the basis of all the songs I've been able to play. Once I learned how to play Wonderwall; I could play Talk Tonight no problem. And when I learned those songs, it was easy to learn other songs and memorize chords.
-Gem is lovely.
-My sense of fashion has changed because of my favorite bands, and Oasis is one of them.
- The Oasis concert I went to has been the best I have ever been to. Every song, I knew by heart and I sang the loudest. I looked stupid, but who cares.

LOL. I saw Franz Ferdinand for the second time 2 nights ago. OUR SEATS WERE HORRIBLE, way way way way at the back of the stadium (because Green Day was playing). The crowd were pretty bad and knew nothing about Franz Ferdinand and wished that I was in their place at the pit.

I shouldn't complain, I got them tickets for free anyway.

It's weird because years ago I was fangirling over them and wished that I could see them even once in my life and I finally did.... last year, it was surreal. It was an 8-song set and they finished with Outsiders, with all of them (Yes, even Bob), drumming. It was amazing!


We walked around the stadium to see if we could catch a glimpse of them, or even meet them after the show, but alas, no luck. ;_;

Green Day was pretty good too, although I swear Billy Joe said "fuck, goddamn, and bitches" at least 40 times. His whole family was there because he lives in around my area, I'm guessing. Which I thought was pretty weird because he was REALLY giving it all. Saying his sister is apparently smoking weed during the show and how he thinks that everyone is having premarital sex in the stadium while the audience cheered. He even invited his mom to squirt a water gun at the audience.
As Cherry-Atomic reminded me, Green Day has got to be the most commercial band I HAVE EVER SEEN. Before we even got inside, outside were Rock Band games playing the songs, banners everywhere, a booth where you take pictures with guitars and they show it over a projector with Verizon all over as a border. They even had a text plan where you text to Verizon *standard rates apply* lolol, and they show it over a billboard. Holy Jesus. I was slapped with Verizon everywhere. They had their people organize little games before the show...It was surprising, really, for Green Day. It was like going to a a football game.

I love love love spending money on gigs and such. It is so worth it. Now I want to see Kasabian soon. Then I would be satisfied.

BUT I AM WRITING IT ANYWAY LOL.

This is a long overdue review of the Oasis gig I attended last year in December, and a few gigs I attended shortly following said concert.

I almost did not choose to go see Oasis and I am glad I slapped myself (mentally) in my head to urge myself to buy these tickets. And this is part of the reason why I received not-so-great seats for a high price. Anyway, ticket sales opened up at 10 in the morning and I was planning to have someone buy it for me (since I was in the throes of education at the time), and I would give them the OK to click Buy Tickets when prompted. But, there was a problem. I ACTUALLY HAD SECOND THOUGHTS. Oh God, if I could meet my past December 3rd self, I would not hesitate to hit myself with a pillowcase full of soap.
I am an indecisive person and it took me 10 minutes, at school, on the phone, to say click it, WAIT WAIT NO DON'T, OKAY CLICK IT, WAIT NO.
I finally said okay and it was the best decision I have made so far.
The gig. It was huge, in a stadium, and I got there way too early. It was worth the wait though. I was in the seats and everyone around me were eating nachos and burgers. Why oh why would you have nachos, let alone eat (unless you're starving for some apparent reason) at a concert? AN OASIS CONCERT? Jesus Christ.
I waited and was surprised at the amount of Oasis fans in my area, I expected less, actually. The fans dressed like Liam. The hat, the military jacket, and those dreaded sideburns. It was funny, but I felt a little bit at home with these people. >_>
After 2 hours of waiting and sitting around, the lights dim, the people cheer and a voice says "Testing, testing, this is not a drill, I repeat, this is NOT a drill". NO JOKE, RIGHT? I GOT NERVOUS. I thought there was some sort of fire for a split second until I looked around and nobody seemed to panic. But that familiar drumming made me smile like a little kid. Fuckin' in the Bushes. I saw Gem, Andy, Noel, Chris, and Liam walk up the stage and the stairs (because our seats were at the side and can see through the back of the stage). I squealed like a little schoolgirl and the rest is history. I knew every song but was disappointed that Live Forever wasn't sung and instead Ain't Got Nothing On Me and Meaning of Soul were done (songs that I personally hate, to me they sound lazy and almost the same). It was amazing. I was teary eyed when The Masterplan started playing. I didn't read the setlist online so everything was a surprise to me. Noel spoke to the audience numerous times, cracking his little jokes here and there. A man passed out in the middle of Rock n Roll star and the crew had to put him on a stretcher, while Noel jokingly said "Somebody passed out already? Now I'm scared I might run around the city in my dressing gown half asleep. I've sleepwalked before, but never got out of my room, I just roamed around in my sleep and when back to bed, but this is different.

I remember being so afraid and feeling the desperation to get out of my room, but I don't know why I was so frightened.

Now my window's broken and insects have been crawling in left right and center.
