I've been trying to keep myself pretty busy. On top of working on some commissions. I have been also spending a lot of time on that AnimeVice website. I've been filling in information for the One Piece series anime. Filling out the cast and episode summaries. Though, I wont touch the manga series information since it's a VIZ publication.

My biggest hurdle in trying to make the character profiles is the lack of pictures of characters I can find. I don't have the best set up for making high quality screen shots. I read this story on Comicvine about the comic book artist Andrew Magnum. It would seem that he's been diagnosed with Phase 2 Nonseminomatous, a fast moving form of cancer. He has the medical insurance, but because of co-pays and the physical toll chemotherapy can take this will also effect the income he can bring into his family.
In response on Sept. 5th many other comic artists are gathering to hold a benefit auction to help out his family which includes two children.

I got my lion's share of San Diego Comic-Con news form this site. They had a lot of great interviews and videos form the convention. They also do video reviews of comic books that are released. Not for every title, but for most of the big ones. Users can write reviews if they wish.
The site has some seriously detailed information about comics and characters. In a way the information on the website runs like wikipedia. Users can add content to a character profile and images.

I was driving out to the local town center; it's like a large mall, but the walkways to each store are outdoors. There weren't many cars in the parking lot so late on a Sunday. I went to the 'Borders' book store to see if they could order that X-Men book that I've been hunting for and mentioned in my previous journal entry. No luck there.

I had a pretty good one. I got some games for my DS and a Wii Fit for me Wii. Got to say I am loving that Wii Fit. I've been using it everyday since I got it.

One of the games I got for my DS is "My Japanese Coach". I have to say that is really helping me learn Japanese. I'm taking a bit slowly on this game. It's pretty cool. I zoomed through a lot of the basics, but I'm stuck at the sentence structure.
I have pretty much all the hiragana memorized. The katakana is a bit harder, ironically, since so many of the symbols are to similar. I'm sure I'll get it though.

I got to see Code Geass episode 22 yesterday. It was a pretty good episode, but I have mixed feelings about it.
I'm not going to cover the same details I covered in the previous journal entry. I'm also not going to go into a great level of detail to avoid spoilers about the recent episode.. There was a scene that I enjoyed. It had a lot of romance behind it. Soft chorus playing the the background didn't help matters.

Kay, now this a bit confusing. It hasn't even been a month since I hit 90,000 hits. I log on today and I see I just hit over 100,000.

On average I hit 10,000 hits ever two months. I guess those 4komas based on Code Geass have really increased my hits per day.
I'm enjoying using these 4koma as an exercise in my skills and improv.
Shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. I've had a huge influx of people putting me on devWatch. That's pretty cool.
